  1. Am I the only one who is having problems with this episode??? It sounds like the background noise (and the background music) is five times louder than it should be. I can barely hear the actors talking sometimes. (It appears to have been fixed at the halfway point). Congrats on both NCIS spinoffs getting renewed.
  2. Try watching Hawaii Five-O. Sometimes, it can be weeks before I finally see one of these so-called regulars show up again on the show.
  3. Captain Marvel was the very first superhero to have a black and white serial adventure made about him. This adventure was shown in theaters a couple of months before Superman's, let alone Batman, Captain America and the others. The fact that he had the first serial adventure arguably led to his brief time outselling Superman comics, which led to DC suing Whiz Comics and gaining control of the Big Red Cheese.
  4. Now that you have seen the movie, you CAN check out the toy department (because obviously the toys give away the major climax of the movie) YOU HAVE BEEN SPOILER WARNED!!!!!
  5. Wildfire - Michael Martin Murphey Wildfire - Demi Lovato Wildfire - John Mayer Wildfire - Zac Brown Band Wildfire - Blink 182
  6. The episode begins with Drew asking Wayne to act like Richard. He does a whole song acting and talking like Richard. Then Drew tells everyone that the next bit will feature a special guest: out comes Richard himself. The look on Wayne's face says it all. He had no idea that Richard was waiting off stage. Drew and the others are clearly laughing at the humiliating shock that Wayne is experiencing.
  7. I actually got a postcard in the mail with coupons for the Pizza Hut Express (which is what those places are technically called). I went down to the actual Pizza Hut to use those coupons and the woman working there told me that they were only good at the Pizza Hut Express. I honestly didn't know what that was, she called it "the crappy little kiosk place in the front of the Target". LOL "So, Brian, Stewie, we just found out who the President is. Would you mind pushing us back out into the ocean??"
  8. Now there's going to be a whole bunch of comments underneath that YouTube video saying "Family Guy brought me here". Oh, and "Shipoopi" and "Mr. Booze" apparently were jokes and NOT flat references as well. (and yes, they got plenty of comments as well). Just look for yourself.
  9. Peter: Holy Crap!! Everybody's here!! Stan: Yes, including us. Peter: Hey!! I didn't say "cast of American Dad"!!! Get out of here, Stan Smith!!! Take your crappy family and go back to that second-rate cable channel you belong on. Stan: Hey, I love being on cable. I get to say "Hell" a lot, and my show will be on TV long after your show gets canned the moment after Homer and his family call it quits, you coattail riding freak. Stan: Simpsons had a tribute too. Peter: Hey!! I said GET OUT OF HERE!!!!
  10. "You do know that I've done other things. I was the Grand Negus on Star Trek. I'm also the voice of Rex in the Toy Story films." "Yeah, and Jeff Bridges has a huge career as well, but he'll always be THE DUDE!! " "(Sigh) I'm always going to be that guy from Princess Bride, aren't I??"
  11. Several of the episodes of "The NEW Super Best Friends Forever" (because I am "NOT" calling this show DC Super Hero Girls) are now clumped together in this YouTube block.
  12. I know I made a thread for this show a while back (maybe I'm thinking about TWOP, oh well) FreakyLinks centered on Derek Barnes (played by Ethan Embry), who ran a website called "FreakyLinks.com" that sought out the dark and forbidden truths behind paranormal phenomena and urban legends, assisted by his friends Chloe (Lisa Sheridan) and Jason (Karim Prince). Derek took over the site after his twin brother, Adam, died under mysterious circumstances. The show's episodes revolved around Derek and his friends investigating supernatural claims for the website and uncovering clues that reveal the truth of his brother's fate. The actress who portrayed Chloe apparently just recently died. Very sad.
  13. Close But No Cigar -- Thomas Dolby Close But No Cigar --- "Weird" Al Yankovic Close But No Cigar --- Birds Are Indie Close But No Cigar --- Dr. Feelgood So Close But No Cigar -- The Funk Factor Oh, So Close But No Cigar --- The Daniels Band (Yes, that's Jeff Daniels singing, with his son Ben and his friends playing in the band)
  14. Bulletproof (1988) - Gary Busey is your worst nightmare, Butthorn!!! Bulletproof (1996) - Could somebody please just shoot Adam Sandler???
  15. First off, after all of the "ad-libs" from "original recipe" Professor Proton, there would be no way that they would film the new show live. When Penny said "the hot guy from Magic Mike", they should have had BOTH Bernie and Amy say "Which one???" immediately after ----- that's how you make a joke, writers!!!!! and speaking of missed jokes---- Bernie: I loved you in Magic Mike. Joe: Switch seats with me, Shatner: Come on, let's play. Penny: Yeah, let's smash that ogre. Shatner: I like your moxie. Penny: Switch seats with me.
  16. Great episode, but I can do without that one moment where: McGee: I've done nothing with my life. Bishop: You wrote a best-seller. McGee: Two, actually, but that was "ten years ago." ARRGGH!! Another TV character who claims that their life is so mundane, where in reality (because they are, after all, TV characters), their life is so exciting, I wish that my life was only a fraction as interesting as theirs. I remember Homer Simpson (of all people) spending part of an episode (I believe what happened was Marge won a contest involving the local TV news and got a free T-shirt) claiming the same thing. The Simpson family then spent a few moments pointing out only a small portion of all the incredible things that he has accomplished. The nerds on "The Big Bang Theory" also spent an episode doing that, and I was like "Didn't that one guy travel into outer space???"
  17. and here I thought someone had remembered the FIRST time they did this. A couple of expys fill in for the big-names, Megan Cavanagh & Tracy Reiner did reprise her roles. (as did Lovitz and Marshall, who appear in the pilot only) It was a paint-by-numbers silly sitcom; I think it only lasted five episodes. Here's hoping they know what they are doing "THIS" time.
  18. From the recent Batman #16 (I hate that they relaunched just about everything): Welcome to Batburger; Home of the Riddle-Me-Fish, the Two-Face Sandwich, and the Ivy Salad. Would you like your fries Jokerized???? Bruce is not amused.
  19. They're back!!!!!!!!! So yeah, for those of you who don't know, there was a time long ago when you didn't know who was calling you. Kids used to have a lot of fun calling up strangers and pranking them, Some kids refused to grow up. The Jerky Boys were very popular back in the 90's, so TV made a PG-rated version of that with puppets. Now, Jimmy Kimmel is bringing them back.
  20. Markovia??? Well, with Dr. Jace in the storyline, I should have known that eventually, Brion Markov would show up. It looks like Grace is starting to become
  21. The thirteenth season of Scooby Doo decides to pay homage to The New Scooby Doo Movies, as modern day special guests (some real, some from other CN shows) help Scooby and the gang solve mysteries. So far, the following guest stars (as themselves) has been confirmed: As Themselves: Chris Paul, Sia, Halsey, Ricky Gervais, Kenan Thompson, Bill Nye, Neil deGrasse Tyson, Mark Hamill, and Penn & Teller. along with characters such as Steve Urkel (voiced by Jaleel White), Batman (voiced by Kevin Conroy), Sherlock Holmes, the Flash and Wonder Woman.
  22. "He who is tired of Weird Al is tired of life." ---- Homer Simpson
  23. Nice cartoon shared universe, but Nerdist is missing a few. Astro from the Jetsons was on another cartoon --- apparently he worked with a space police officer named Space Ace (Don't ask how that happened!!!!!) He ocassionally teamed up (via crossover) with The Galaxy Trio, the Herculoids, and Spaaaaaaaace Ghoooooost (before he became a talk show host). Meanwhile, Nerdist is forgetting (Scooby's) Laff-A-Lympics -- a mega crossover cartoon just for fun. The Jetsons "ALSO" met the WWF (and Vince McMahon said "This is NOT the first time I met a talking dog.") Meanwhile, I may have pointed out earlier how the Disney Channel Live Action Universe (DCLAU) was also part of the Tommyverse. Well, the cast of Jessie actually provided their voices to their animated likeness when they guest-starred (I kid you NOT) on an episode of Ultimate Spider-Man, which means that the Marvel animated universe from the 2010's (USM, Marvel's Avengers, Hulk and Agents of SMASH, Etc. ) are also connected to the Tommyverse. My head hurts.
  24. Once again, I just love your recaps, Lantern7. I still wish that "this" forum still did full-length sarcastic recaps. (OK, that was TWOP, but you know what I mean). No Riddler this episode; what he be doing??
  25. Good job, SnarkyTart. You were the first to guess Bradshaw (without any other guesses). I actually doubted it was him and I previously included that link showing him back when he had a country music career. I guess I owe you a Coke.
