  1. Bunch of over-rated amateurs mocking me, then give award to wrong movie. SAD!!!!! - Donald J Trump
  2. Superman has managed to trick Mxyzptlk into writing his name backward several times. Many of you (since you're mentioning Gilbert G) probably remember Superman tricking him into skywriting his name backward in his premiere episode in the TimmVerse. So how exactly do you pronounce his name?? Let's ask Howie Mandel, Gilbert G, and all the other guys, shall we??
  3. I remember buying the Batman comic when I was much younger. Stop making me feel old. Seriously, it's the most recent comic cover they showed by a long shot. While the others were Golden/Silver Age, the Batman comic was from the 90's, right around the time Tim Drake became Robin.
  4. Carrie actually has recorded her voice for two more appearances. I'm actually surprised that Peter still works at the brewery. Much like Homer, it can be several episodes in which he can travel anywhere and do stuff for several days and then once in a while an episode has him almost like "Oh Yeah, That's right. I have a job "here"." I'm surprised both him and Homer have yet to be fired for not showing up at work most of the time.
  5. and now ........... "Squeeze Box": The Ultimate Weird Al Collection All 14 albums ...... plus more!!!!! (Hmmmmm ...... 4 dislikes, one must be Eminem.)
  6. I was actually reminded of the episode where Marge discovers that she has a hoarding compulsion. (The Crazy Cat Lady takes over the Simpson house).
  7. I also noticed something different from previous seasons, but once again, this maybe due to quick editing (as many of you have pointed out, the show is cut down to just one hour) but Ah-nuld did not bother asking Tyra and Patrick who he should fire. Donald would constantly do that and then just fire whoever he wanted to (and his kids would suck up to him afterwards). It's amazing how many small different things. If you're a big fan of Carnie, you'll know that this is par for the course. She is a lot of fun, and she's willing to do just about anything, but it seems she's only good at singing and cooking. But hey, remember, big huge fan here, I just put away all three of the Xmas albums (How many ways can you girls sing "Silent Night"??).
  8. RIP George Michael (Last Christmas). Did you know that Eartha Kitt (Santa Baby) also passed away on Christmas a few years back as well??
  9. So where did that silly rendition begin??? Not surprisingly, shortly after Batman became a household name in December of 1966, it is believed the first rendition came from Army brats in SoCal and from there it spread when families relocated to other bases.
  10. From the Xmas special: "In England, drunken mobs would take over the streets, bang on rich peoples doors and demand food or money, or they would not leave them in peace". We wish you a Merry Christmas / We wish you a Merry Christmas / We wish you a Merry Christmas / and a Happy New Year Now bring us some figgy pudding / Now Bring Us Some Figgy Pudding / NOW BRING US SOME FIGGY PUDDING / AND A CUP OF "GOOD CHEER" And we won't go until we get some / We Won't Go Until We Get Some / WE WON"T GO UNTIL WE GET SOME / SO BRING SOME OUT HERE!!!! (Seriously, where did you think we got that from)????? .......... a popular English Christmas carol from the West Country of England. ........... an envoie much used by wassailers and other luck visitors
  11. In LEGO Dimensions, using the TARDIS in the "Adventure World" of "Fantastic Beasts & Where To Find Them" will bring you to ........... STAR Labs?????? (The "secret" level begins around the 13 minute mark). Look, it's Barry's Flash suit, it's Harrison's wheelchair, it's the secret "Future" room (complete with a different newspaper), and even the Flash himself makes an appearance on his "Cosmic" treadmill.
  12. Let's watch every single Lifetime holiday movie and then rank them. (May God have mercy on your soul, you poor human being). It's a Yahoo article, so, as you can guess, they don't know how to count.
  13. PinkRibbons Speaking as a man in his mid 40's, I was (obviously) a young boy back in the mid 80's when the comet passed by. The newspaper articles back then (as well as my very stringent teachers) insisted that it was pronounced like VALLEY because they are both spelled the same (Sans the first letter, of course). The confusion probably is brought on due to the infamous rock star (who even named his band mates the Comets), but his last name is spelled with only one "L". I know that now-a-days everyone (by which I mean millenials with their I don't care attitude) says "whichever way, it doesn't matter", but it just makes common sense that it is pronounced like VALLEY.
  14. What happened to the Russian bombers that were about to destroy everything? I guess they were called back?? An even further complication is the boys and girls still hate each other. The troll was never exposed, so what happens now with them??
  15. Most of us haven't seen her since Even Stevens and Cadet Kelly (not to mention she was the voice of Kim Possible (Boy, Mickey Mouse really drove her nose to the grindstone)). I, myself, haven't seen her since The Cutting Edge 3, but Christy Carlson Romano is about to be in not one, but two holiday movies. Tonight, Christmas with the Andersons is on USA and on Tuesday, Christmas All Over Again is also on USA.
  16. OK, the whole sitcom is actually happening inside Sheldon's mind, which it turns out Sheldon really is mentally ........ OK, never mind, uhhh OK, the whole group are actually astronauts on their way to Mars, and are all having a shared dream because of the technology aboard the ship .......... OK, uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Sheldon buys a giant magic box and actually thinks he made Leonard disapear when in fact ............ Oh, for crying out loud!!!
  17. Please add Ryan Gosling to this list. I remember that guy when he was on "Breaker High" and "Young Hercules". He's now one of the most in-demand young adult Hollywood stars.
  18. "There sure are a lot of coincidences for such a great novel." "Let's all drunk-drive into Manhattan and have this same conversation again - yeah, I'm starting to think this isn't a great book." Not too many people (who were rich enough to afford books) liked Gatsby when it first came out. Critics panned it, and Fritzgerald died penniless, still thinking that his "Great American Novel" was crap. A few years later, war broke out and over three times as many copies of Gatsby were sent overseas to GIs to read for free than were printed during Fritz's lifetime. GIs loved reading about the rich lifestyle and insisted that their kids read the book while they were in school. A lot of educated scholars even to this day still think the story is crap, but we do live in a society where many Academy Award nominated films barely make enough money to break even, while Michael Bay is planning Transformers 5.
  19. Sorry folks. No "Pumpkin Chunkin" this year.
  20. It's Christmas music time again!!! Time to do the Christmas Can-Can. I love watching those singing faces do it every year when we go see the "Griswold" houses.
  21. Well, half the people don't bother showing up half the time anyway. Caan was missing for several episodes. Grace made "special" appearances during her "search" last season. and Masi was missing for most of the first half of this season - on special vocation. and if you look above, Alex is saying that he might leave this show altogether. A lot of people are stating that this show may not come back next season anyway, partly due to the demands of all the actors. If these people don't want to be on this show anymore, then cancel it already.
  22. Half of the songs from her "Covered by Ronstadt" album aren't even on that list (to say nothing of "Blue Bayou"). I have yet another album of hers that includes her cover of "Poor, Poor Pitiful Me", and I too love it.
  23. "Oh, Marge, cartoons don't have any deep meaning. They're just stupid drawings that give you a cheap laugh." A professor at Glasgow University is offering a one-day seminar on "The complex philosophy and chracterization of Homer J. Simpson".
  24. Galileo908 Homer: I never really understood “I Love Lucy”. Their plots were so ri-dic-u-lous. Marge: I agree, Home-y. Now remember, because Grandpa went wee-wee on the carpet, we now have to go to Cuba and get involved in a CIA sting operation. Homer: Ay-yi-yi!! OK, no more ‘splaining!! Grandpa: I had no idea that fixing up an old airplane for a nightclub also involved making the cockpit fully operational again, and filling up the fuel tanks and hydraulics. I should have known that those guys with the “CIA” jackets were doing more than just bringing in the carpeting for the lounge.
  25. Spaceytraci1208 Bastet Don't forget to add Santana's "Black Magic Woman". As Tony Quintero says down in the comments "When I tell people that Fleetwood Mac were the original artists to record Black Magic Woman, they think I'm full of it." Five pages and I still don't hear any love for Ronstadt. She even made an entire album once.
