  1. If your DVD player will play Region 4, then the ABC Australia shop ships the DVDs worldwide https://shop.abc.net.au/ I think season 4 is being released next month. You may end up having to pay an import tax though and the postage can be expensive enough.
  2. Mattie lodges with Blake. There's no family relationship. Blake pays Jean to act as his housekeeper/receptionist, but we don't know what arrangements he made regarding money for while he was away. Presumably whatever Matte was paying in rent would have covered some of the household running costs.
  3. Blake has been Danny (the young policeman) was transferred to Melbourne and replaced by Charlie. In real life the actor got a job on another show and was unavailable for S2. Not sure what you mean by 'what has Jean done'? :-) And the death was Nell Clasby, a patient of Blake's who had appeared in a few episodes of S1. The actress Penne Hackforth-Jones died before S2 started filming - that's why there was an 'in memory' card in the closing titles of S2 ep 1. Any other mysteries need solving, just ask :-)
  4. In my (albeit limited) experience, there's three parts to a wedding. First is the ceremony - religious or civil - then there's the reception, usually with a full meal and then a band afterwards. And then there's what we'd call the 'afters' which is usually another party in the evening with maybe a buffet or finger food and a disco. Guests will usually be invited to the whole day - close friends and family - or just the 'afters' - more distant relatives/friends and people you just want a wedding present from ;-)
  5. It's a spinoff from Crownies with most of the same characters.
  6. Sly said his earpiece fell out when the hatch got welded shut. I guess Ken didn't have one.
  7. I think that even with all of those reasons, Ianto fans would have been a lot less pissed off if TPTB had actually acknowledged that yes, they had a right to be upset that their favourite character had been killed off. But instead we were dismissed as being a (small) number of 'hysterical women' who only watched the show for the hot guys and basically we should be watching Supernatural instead. It was the dismissiveness that really angered many fans. It was like we weren't supposed to grieve for a character. (and here was me thinking that showrunners/creators would have actually liked the fact that their creations had been so memorable that people were upset when they were written off)
  8. I think I saw a cartoon strip about that 'show'. It went something like Doctor "you've got cancer" Patient "oh no, I'll have to become a drug dealer to pay my medical bills" Doctor "Welcome to the NHS where it'll all be paid for" The End
  9. ,Ziva's return wouldn't be overly improbable. IIRC, didn't she just decide to stay in Israel. She's not dead, she could easily pay a surprise visit (although I really hope she doesn't, especially if it's anything to do with Tony leaving)
  10. Season 4 is scheduled to start airing in Australia on Friday 5th February.
  11. Agents dating each other isn't the problem. The problem (to me anyway) is when those agents are on the same team and working together as partners in the field. I can't think of any organization (in the real world) that would allow that to happen and I think less of Hetty for appearing to approve of the situation.
  12. All the comments about Watson knowing that 'Hooper' was a woman and Sherlock not noticing. I'd just assumed that Sherlock had known, but since she was competent at her job, he didn't feel it was worth mentioning. (of course that was before we knew this was all in Sherlock's head)
  13. Watched all three episodes back to back tonight. Well worth viewing, IMO. (and I'm not just saying this because of Aidan Turner in a towel ;-)
  14. When they were interviewing Nate, at one point I'm sure he said that Abby would never have left 'her' child. I would have expected him to say she'd have never left 'our' child - since at that point we only knew that he and Abby were a couple and didn't know about Branford. So maybe Nate wasn't the biodad either.
  15. Morse code is a straightforward code with every letter having its own dot/dash combination. If Walter heard a sentence being tapped out and was given the translation, he's got a good enough memory to remember the code for each letter in that sentence. Translate a few sentences for him and he'll have the code for enough letters to be able to guess the missing ones in the next line of code tapped out. I think that him picking up morse code was probably one of the less implausible things in the episode! (although I'm surprised he wouldn't have learned it at some stage already)
  16. We still don't know who is in the box though. I'd assumed it was going to be Leanne, on the grounds that she's the most likely person they'd want to lock up. And that last scene, just the subtle change in Matthew Bayton's expression that made all the difference...damn he's good!
  17. A place to post upcoming airdates for the show. I'll kick it off with Season 3 which is currently airing on BBC1 at 2.15pm Monday to Friday. Episode 3.01 started on Monday 30th November (should be available for a while on the i-player) And it looks like Season 2 will start airing in the same timeslot from Thursday 10th December.
  18. Jude was 18 when he got Mary pregnant, and Jamie & Ariel are 30, so Jude is 48/49. If Rhonda and Scotty were 5 when they were 'orphaned', their father can't have been more than 5 years dead, which means that Jude would have been at most 19 when his mother faked her death. We don't know who raised the twins after that, but presumably it wasn't Jude, so it's likely they haven't met each other in the subsquent 30 odd years which would explain why they don't know each other. I don't think Jude was ever from Slough, AFAIK, Slough was just where Mary was living and I got the impression that Jude was on a trip around Europe when he hooked up with her.
  19. IIRC, it was mentioned on the show that Scotty and Rhonda are twins - I think Scotty mentioned it when he was feeling guilty about helping/not helping her. Jude is I'd say, a good bit older than the other two and they likely haven't seen him since they were 'orphaned' aged 5. So it's quite possible that they just don't remember an elder brother.
  20. Does anybody else want to smack Spike (Rhonda's son) into the middle of next week? It may have been Scotty's fault that Rhonda was recaptured, but it's Spike's fault that she was in jail in the first place, given that she took the rap for his hacking. It's all starting to come together, how all the characters are getting into the bunker. I just hope Jamie's grandmother has it well stocked!
  21. For anybody in the UK or Ireland, Season 3 is starting on BBC2 on Monday 30th November. As usual though, they seem to be airing it Monday to Friday in an early afternoon slot, and by the looks of things they'll be running S2 once they've finished S3.
  22. What gets me is that surely Scotty has gained enough brownie points with the president at this point to get a pardon for Rhonda. Poor Celine, no wonder she was so upset in the bunker. And poor Gaines at the end, but I'm happy to see that he made it to the bunker in Slough. Speaking of which, who do we know so far ends up in the bunker? We've seen Rhonda, Spike, Scotty, Gaines, Celine, Frankie, Dave, an unknown person in a crate, the batty old lady who had the bunker built and her doctor. Have we seen Layla in the bunker yet?
  23. M knew that if the guy who was a member of Spectre was killed that they'd have to meet in person to appoint his sucessor.
  24. The Great British Bake-Off is an hour long with no time lost to commercial breaks. The Great Irish Bake-off is an hour long with probably 12 to 15 minutes lost to commercial breaks. I don't know about any other international versions but clearly if they have the same running time as the GIBO then they're simply giving less time to airing each challenge in order to fit the extra one in.
  25. Wait, so clutter and mess are a sign of depression? So I'm not just a lazy slob who hates tidying! wooo-hoo!! (and yeah, that's about the only thing i got from this episode)
