It’s just me and my husband, and we don’t entertain a lot, so it’s kind of ridiculous that I want 2 ovens. But I still want them!

Was he a bit of a control freak?

It’s kind of a funny story how I got my oven. The Sunday before Thanksgiving I turned my oven on to pre heat and the heating element on the floor of the oven burst into flames! So I went to a couple of stores to find an electric oven that would fit in my small space and would be delivered before Thanksgiving. That really narrowed my options! It’s fine, and I don’t have any regrets, but It wasn’t something on my list to replace at the time.

@Cetacean, I have a Samsung glass top electric stovetop/oven (with convection). The oven has a thick metal divider that I can insert to divide the oven into 2 separate spaces. It has 2 fans, so I can set each space to its own temperature. It comes in handy at Thanksgiving, when I want to cook a small turkey in the main space and green bean casserole in the smaller space. My only issue it that in the small space, items brown more quickly so I really have to keep an eye on them. My dream is to have 2 wall ovens, but I suspect my kitchen isn’t big enough.

Taking this to Small Talk

The first one I get, maybe they don’t check their email regularly so you need to give them a heads up, right? But at work, where the assumption is that people are checking their email multiple times a day, why? BTW, today’s offender hasn’t even sent me the damn email yet.

That could attract an interesting group of applicants!

I wonder if she doesn’t want to be alone at a wedding. All of her siblings will be there with their spouse, so she would be the odd person out. I’m sure she wouldn’t want other people at the wedding wondering why her husband wasn’t there, or worse - why she wasn’t married! This is not an event to be at without your spouse (at least in the minds of their set).

You and your family are in my thoughts.

So it’s 2-3 guys driving a van of supplies around. While I’m sure that the people who received supplies were grateful, I have to imagine that this in an incredibly inefficient and very random way of distributing supplies.

Like what? What have you actually done there? I am deeply skeptical that they are doing anything meaningful there.

Ha, ha, she’s almost as bad! @Cinnabon, one of my previous cats was my shadow, and loved nothing more for me to hold her, especially when she was older. But she was very sweet about it, and probably a little bit anxious in general. But if I moved her off my lap, she’d just go back to sleep wherever I put her. But this one will not be denied!

Ha! I often refer to her as a fluffy little tyrant, or the generalissima. She rules with an iron mitt.

I’m hoping she’s throwing some passive aggressive shade at Jer.

It seems like the nice weather combined with more light later in the day is making people feel a little better! I hope that the bill to make daylight savings permanent passes. A couple of weeks ago I was scheduling regional training sessions for this week and almost forgot to factor in daylight saving change over. That would have been a problem! One of my cats is in a mood. She jumps up on my desk several times a day and then wants to be held. She can be very insistent about it. Earlier she would not stop but I was working on something so I had to close her out of the office. My god, you would think she was being tortured. I finally let her in after she started throwing herself on the door. When I opened it she sauntered slowly in like she hadn’t been howling a few seconds earlier. She is now pulling pens out of my pen cup with her mouth and attempting to run off with them. I guess we all know who is in charge here. I love a needy, clingy cat, but she is sometimes really aggressive about it. She’s not anxious or upset, she just knows that she is the center of the universe and demands to be treated accordingly. Now I want tacos and cake! Fortunately I had tacos on the list for this week, so I guess that’s what I’m having tonight. Just have to find some cake……

That’s great, @GHScorpiosRule! It’s nice to hear a good return to office story. It sounds like your company is doing it well.

It does look my grandma’s house circa 1985 (and 2010, to be honest), but I appreciate that they tried to make it nice on what I assume is a very very small budget. Perhaps Nurie will develop her own taste over time; I’m sure that she absorbed a lot of Jill’s because any kind of individuality was obviously a sign of Satan in the kids and was stamped out immediately.

Given Kanye’s erratic behavior I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s showing up whenever he wants to get them, or calling up last minute to take them. I can absolutely understand Kim wanting structure around visits. I can even understand if she wants visits to be supervised right now.

Dating is only for people who get married The rest of us have just completely misunderstood that you get married and then date. Fundies do everything just a little bit different!

If only Josh had run Hoynes’ campaign, he would have been president! I hate Josh so very much (were we supposed to like him?), and could not have cared less about Sam. I was only there for CJ and Toby.
