I think there is a level 5 enhancement for the pattern of exploitation and abuse of minors. The defense was overruled on their objection.

The Ashley is reporting that James is also there, and he, Jason and Joy were all in the back seats, not near JB, Anna, or Anna’s brother David and his wife Hannah.

Per the Twitter feed of a reporter on the scene, they are returning at 12:10 CT. Also, the judge has overruled several of the defense’s objections to the enhancements (but not all).

I wish they did! It would be a team bonding moment. ETA: I am having leftover cheddar grits from Monday. They are delicious, but hopefully Josh’s sentence will be even more delicious.

It wasn’t so much a sauce as a binder for the spinach, artichokes and cheese. You mix everything together and spread it on the dough.

I made an artichoke and spinach dip pizza. The topping was chopped artichokes, (frozen) chopped spinach, garlic powder, a scant 1/4 c. of mayo, a teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce, mozzarella and Parmesan. I was skeptical, but made it because I have a surplus of mozzarella and found the spinach and artichokes in the freezer. It was surprisingly good! I think adding some sun-dried tomatoes would be good, as would caramelized onions.

Who hasn’t had some “surprises” while searching, especially in the days before ad blockers? Given how sheltered Anna, Michelle, etc. are, and how they think the internet is pretty much a giant porn shop, I can believe that they think that Josh either accidentally found the images and never meant to download them or that the images were somehow “pushed” to him, kind of like your “surprises,” @libgirl2. That’s not how any of this works, but I doubt anyone could convince Anna or Michelle of that.

To continue the garden theme, I’m annoyed at the bunnies who chowed down on my 2 new Oriental Poppy plants. I bought one years ago and have been on the outlook ever since to buy 2 more. One of my neighbors brought me one from a nursery I didn’t know about, and then I went last weekend and bought another. The stupid rabbits chomped both plants, even after I put down deer and rabbit repellant. Yesterday I put mesh covers over both to protect them until they get bigger. Weird that they didn’t bother the one I already had at all.

That sounds like a repeat of their initial statement to the court. The whole “he deleted the files right away” ignores all the trouble he went through to get the files in the first place. You can’t just go to Google and search for these images. He set up a partition on his computer and trawled the dark web for them. Even there the images are not easily found (bought) - the people who sell/trade these images take great pains to make sure that they aren’t selling to someone who is running a CSAM sting. For some of these images, you can’t get them unless you provide files in return, to demonstrate that the buyer is legit. There’s nothing to indicate that Josh did this, but just pointing out that the effort required to get the images is not something someone goes through on a whim. He may have deleted the files because someone walked in while he was watching them and he panicked. Or he did have second thoughts after opening the files, but they weren’t permanently erased from his computer.
