18-24+ inches forecasted here, along with hurricane force winds. That much snow is bad, but the projected power outages are what have me worried. I was at Target at 7:15, then did my grocery shopping at a couple of other stores. It was really busy, but I’ve seen worse the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. My snow blower is not working, but my next door neighbor is going to check it out later today. Fingers crossed he can fix it! I’m finishing up all of the laundry this afternoon and vacuuming so that if we do lose power at least that stuff will be done. Oh, and I’m also working - I love WFH and my team being on the opposite coast, because I can start late and work late on days like this. Good luck to everyone getting bad weather!

@Anela, do you have any tips for making rice in the Instant Pot? I am embarrassed to admit this, but I can’t make rice to save my life. It is always sticky! I haven’t tried it in the Instant Pot but maybe I will have better luck.

I think as far as Jill is concerned the kids are interchangeable. Certainly they aren’t encouraged to be individual in any way, so she can say the same thing about each of her robots.

So this happened today - I got a hand-addressed envelope in the mail from someone I did not recognize. I opened it up and it was all about the comfort of God during these trying times, I should read the Bible, etc. My first thought was “how does she know I spend so much time snarking on the Duggars?” Then I saw the Jehovah’s Witness pamphlet she included and realized I was just paranoid. (But it’s still creepy that someone I don’t know has sent me a letter about finding Jesus. Jesus and I have an understanding already, we’re cool!)

My guess is that they have the absolute minimum insurance required by law, and that they aren’t great at paying the premiums on time.
