I find Eddie to be the most boring character on the show so this dumb plot did nothing for me. I am shocked that the actress is the same one who played his terrible boring wife--the characters looked nothing alike to me. There were things I liked about this episode but nothing involving Eddie was on that list.

Good for you for taking care of everyone. I grew up in tornado country and know how scary it can be (moved to earthquake country...). Glad everyone is okay and you showed them how to do it the right way!

So glad Steven won. And Robert, those were Twitter logo silhouettes, not hummingbirds. No hummingbirds could sip from a flower with those passerine beaks (why yes, I am a bird nerd, thanks for asking).- 3.1k replies

Supermarket Stakeout - General Discussion

I'm a terrible person but the woman who fell got on my last nerve with her yammering and I was really hoping she would not win. (Not that I wanted her to get hurt, I just wanted her to dial back the perky.) I am glad the show is back! -
Fuck off, Maria Shriver. You have zero evidence your lame fake food thing has any impact on preventing dementia and you have tons of money and should just fund your own bullshit. And losing 25% of the show to this is infuriating. I lost two parents to Alzheimer’s and I am DONE with her.

I love that suit! I used to have to wear suits a fair amount for my interactions with Health Authorities (FDA, EMA, PMDA, etc.) and I would have picked that one in a heartbeat (though with pants because we had to gown to go into the facility with inspectors a fair amount and skirts were not allowed and would not have worked). I'm in California, though, and things may be more conservative in other areas.

Ugliest House In America - General Discussion

That barbed wire explosion house--one the the things the camera landed on and Rhetta complained about was the swag lamp with the "barbed wire" cord. But it was plugged into an outlet (albeit an outlet on the wall that was too high and stupid) and they could have just unplugged the hideous thing! Our game is to watch these and figure out which one they can afford to redo. The Craftsman was the right choice this week, though I shudder to imagine what Alison Victoria and her shabby chic taste for s#&t might do to a Craftsman. -
I think the writing on this show is terrible now. I can't remember the specific beats in this episode but there are so many times that I can imagine the words on the page as the actors say them, complete with "wait for laugh." There is nothing natural about the way these people communicate and, as @Pi237 observed, the heart has been sucked out of these characters.

It is certainly not flattering. It makes her look very short-waisted.

Happy birthday @CalicoKitty! You got us a green light for your birthday!

We also wondered if they carried around towels for when they sat down. I agree the hygiene issues are concerning. Also agree that the wife seemed like an exhibitionist. And we both blanched at the thought of having to use SO MUCH sunblock outdoors in Florida as a nudist.

Oh, I think such a bottle episode could be great!

I like Sara Gilbert, I like Lori Metcalf, and I love John Goodman. Only Goodman manages to transcend his character on this show enough to be likeable in the part, IMHO. -

As a fellow nerd, that was actually what I liked about him. To me, in this episode, he seemed more performative and I thought he came across as pretty tiresome. -

I had liked Alfred up until this episode but they gave him so much screen time to presage his being sent home and it did not help me to like him any more. Quite the opposite. -
My kitty who lived with me from the time she was three weeks old until we had to say goodbye at the age of 19 years two months was a freak for mint. I used Burt's Bees lip balm at the time and she always wanted to French kiss me after I put it on (she did not get to, to be clear). She also loved to try to play reverse lion tamer (she would try to put her head in my mouth) when I had a spearmint Altoid.

Either Daphne Oz was pregnant again when this was filmed or she should fire her stylist immediately. Scratch that, the latter is still true as her outfit was terrible regardless. -
That was a really interesting article--thank you for sharing it!

Where are the pictures people are responding to?

That's a very cute picture. I love that they so far have only two kids and that they are wearing pretty colors. And that little seersucker shorts suit is very cute.

Nick needs to leave Meredith and sue for custody. I get it that he's not their bio dad but he seems to be the custodial parent. Meredith is a piece of work. Was this whole episode designed to make us hate her? Cause it worked on me.

Why has this woman not had therapy and lots of it? And I say that as someone who actually enjoyed her more comedic work and likes her.

Oh man, preach. We had an Audi for a while (made by VW) and it was a total piece of crap. I had to buy oil by the case because that thing sucked it down so fast between oil changes (no leaks, I have no idea what it was doing with it all). It was all-wheel drive and it ATE tires. Random crap went bad with it all the time--like the rear window suddenly deciding it was tired of being closed all the time and refusing to stay up. It was two of us in the household, no one EVER sat back there let alone used the window. Never ever would I have another Audi and I implore others to avoid the error we made. Yeah, we have a license plate frame on our rear plate that says "bought before Space Karen went crazy."
