Help! I Wrecked My House - General Discussion
jcbrown replied to KeithJ's topic in Help! I Wrecked My House
I couldn't believe they replaced those hardwood floors with vinyl. I did think Jasmine's space plan worked a lot better than the original layout. Though I struggled to see a TV in that room where they talked about being able to "watch the game." -

I had not really paid attention before but last night it was really obvious to me how much Nancy does not like Sherrod, which I just do not understand. It's a bad look, Nancy.- 2.4k replies

I'm so sorry for your loss, @Jynnan tonnix. Even when you know it is the kindest thing, having to say goodbye is wrenching. He was a real cutie!

Best wishes to you, @Notabug!

That's the one that gets me. In what circumstances does that happen? Why isn't it stopped immediately? -

Why does Kevin always have to be such a huge jerk? He's just rude. He may be good at making money but I would never make a deal with someone like him. Is assholery thought to be good TV? -

Same here--I was surprised at how much better that episode was than anything else we've seen this season. -
I like Guittard chocolate for baking and confections so I would use it for both chocolates. And I would choose dark chocolate, if it were me. As for peppermint oil, just make sure to get the real stuff and you'll be fine. Yum!

Agree with everything you said. I don't care for Ashley much and I cannot stand Justine. She thinks she is adorable. She is wrong. And I know that her accent is not entirely her fault but dang, it grates on my ears. And her letter board was not one so there is no way she should have been top two. Please, show, put us out of the misery of her. Nancy is a total waste as a judge. I was glad to see Carla contradict her several times last night. And Josh has such a terrific smile and seemed like an all-around nice guy. If only he'd remembered the sugar. -

Is anyone else watching the Elf on the Shelf show? I can't figure out where to look for it so I came here. -

Or why not put a mirror underneath? So many less-stupid options. I make a chestnut, apple, and pancetta ravioli that is tasty and I've had roasted chestnuts in Europe that were okay. The revelation for me in this episode was I had a similar dessert to the Mont Blanc on a trip to Switzerland and looked for a recipe under the Swiss-German name without success. Now I now how to find it! -

Agreed that it would have been good to get answers to these questions. The main thing I learned in this episode is never to go into business with Kelly. Or Ray, for that matter, he was certainly a jerk. But what on earth would make you decide to invest a bunch of money into something you know absolutely nothing about and just leave it in a black hole where you can't tell what is happening to it? And why did she keep snivelling to the staff about her bad financial decisions? I found that quite off-putting and I would have bailed with so much boundary-crossing. Her bad financial choices are not their problem and after she made them public, it would have been more prudent to leave and find more stable employment. I think this episode tried to center the relationships while giving us hardly any information about them so that was kind of a frustrating waste of time. -
No thanks, proselytizers. I'll skiip it. Get another lane, dorks.

Yeah, I like the Hobby Lobby commercial but hate Hobby Lobby so I am conflicted by that one. What happened to the Coke polar bears ads? They were good!

I've seen two versions: one with them as kids and one without. I agree the former is the best.

I even watched that show and I only vaguely remember her and could not have picked her out of a lineup, with or without disguise. -

The Yum Crumbs guy made me cry when he was so overcome. I loved seeing Daymond get emotional, too. Unsuprised that Barbara stood stiffly by. -

Holy cats, yes. Stop saying it every other word, Jasmine. She got on my last nerve. -
Really? I just thought he was doing as @Phebemarie said and blocking his view of toys in general.

I'm just hoping they have a Christmas one and I assume they will, after Halloween- and Thanksgiving-themed episodes. Agreed with those who were uninvested in this batch of kids. -

Apologies if this has been mentioned here before but WTH is up with the Consumer Cellular commercial where the woman is talking to customer service while people behind her jump into a pool? I don't get it. At all. It seems deeply stupid. https://abancommercials.com/consumer-cellular/jumping-into-pool-commercial/222385/ -

And it's a terrible name for a restaurant, full stop. I get that they had a "-box" theme going for their other places but Juicy Box? Really? Am I a complete degenerate for not hearing that name as a restaurant name? Just me? -

Hilarious, thank you. I didn't commit anyone's name to memory yet but the pastry instructor (Kevin?) seems like it could be his to lose but it's early days still. Justine's accent (thanks to posters here for her name) grates on me but I am trying to rise above.
