  1. I don't mind Kardea so I could live with that. Anyone other than Ree Drummond.
  2. I'm sorry for asking this here but is there a thread somewhere for "Why the heck did I buy this house?"? I have gotten nowhere with searching for one.
  3. That's sad. I really like her in this role.
  4. Gee, too bad there were no female actors available anywhere so they had to go with another dumbass male cop. I did not like him and Wolf's hard-on for agro men gets really really old. Also, thanks, L&O, for bringing a story I can't even stand to follow in real life (because there is nothing whatsoever I can do about it) to my escapism. I really hated this episode, in case I wasn't clear.
  5. I was surprised to see new episodes still on the schedule, as well.
  6. His TV career is toast, I'm sure. And rightly so, given what I've read.
  7. That eight year-old girl is seriously adorable, though. I am not usually susceptible to kids and I find her delightful, even though I have evidently not retained her name.
  8. Not sure it was as memorable as it meant to be because I cannot tell you the characters that were involved but there is an episode about child abuse and I swear there is a scene with Munch and Stabler (?) talking at the bar about a nextdoor neighbor kid that was abused and who he used to try to look out for but could not in the anecdote he is recounting. I could be totally wrong about who is in the scene? But the acting was really good. I think it is the episode with the woman who shook her kid to death and was charged with murder after life support was withdrawn.
  9. And the mentors used to let the real people decide what they wanted to make for their final meal with input from the chef. I liked that much better. I did enjoy the chemistry of Anne and Tiffany, though.
  10. I must be starved for content because I actually enjoyed the first half last night. Finishing it tonight and I'm sure I'll come to hate the famewhores soon enough but I found it diverting enough last evening.
  11. Does anyone know if this show will be coming back?
  12. "Welcome to the family, kid. Hope you don't like color."
  13. Happy New Year, everyone! We had a good holiday here. My sister came from Indiana for nine days and our mutual friend came from the Sacramento area for four so it was a lot of socializing for this introvert. But I love the holidays so it was great, albeit exhausting. My sister did not wear a mask on the plane home and now has tested positive for symptomatic COVID so our last holiday gift will be COVID testing every few days starting this Thursday, since we were three days from seeing her when she tested positive (we will follow the CDC's current guidance). She is feeling pretty crappy--this is her third bout. At least all who were at our celebration are fully vaxxed and boosted.
  14. Tim looked at hs realtor like he was completely smitten with him a few times, especially in the beginning. I actually thought they were a couple for a bit. Then I realized Carlito was Tim's primary love.
  15. I'm so sorry for your loss, @BetyBee.
  16. I have an X-mas shirt that says "happy almost mardi gras."
  17. I didn't mind Tilly but that is because I was comparing her to the charisma-sink that is Hunter Fieri. I prefer this nepotism to that.
  18. Okay, I'm fine with wanting to punch Jackson, instead. Better, actually. (And of course you're right, now that I look at both pics.)
  19. You are so right--I had forgotten that Sherrod helped Justine. I admit he did make some technical errors (don't use a rando method for making pate a choux in a competition!) but still believe Nancy did not always have to be so dismissive and nasty to him. It read racist to me, whether or not she intended that. And I also agree about all the food dye and co-sign your theory! I asked Nancy out loud during the episode exactly how much food coloring did she want to eat? She did not answer, even though I asked her more than once.
  20. James looks extra punchable in that shirt. At least the shirt you know what you're getting into if you make the mistake of talking to him.
  21. They prepped the potatoes on the floor? So odd, these people. And Monopoly is an objectively terrible game, no matter the variant. My spouse and I agreed more than a decade ago that we will no longer play it because we would like to stay married and one of us is hyper-competetive, which that game really rewards.
  22. I lost my mom in 2007 and my dad in 2021, after being unable to see him for the last two years of his life because the pandemic lock-down hit two weeks before I was booked to go see him. Lately, I have been seeing lots of his reactions and comments on my posts in my Facebook memories. I am finding that comforting.
  23. I am no fan of Daphne Oz but she is good with the kids. There, I said something nice about her.
  24. I also noticed in the prior episode that Justine walked like a beauty queen when she came out to judging. Or possibly a penguin. She had her hands sort of stuck out with her palms parallel to the floor.
