  1. It is really hard to figure out what was a dream. I mean did she really have a pillow fight with the real Kelly? Was there something in her drink in the hot tub more than it just being really strong. He was a gay man in 1983 so the obvious storyline would be HIV/AIDS. Wikipedia tells me that Rock Hudson was diagnosed in 1984 and I know that he was traveling to Europe for experimental treatments.
  2. If he is being charged because of his role as producer, have any other producers being charged? Even a little low budget indie movie will have more than 1. If he is the only one charged in that capacity makes me think it is just someone looking to get headlines.
  3. I like that they used some kind of orchestral version of The Final Countdown for the music. I definitely feel like this show would need a rewatch once it is all done since there is so much new story with each season (and new characters and locations) that it is hard to remember it all.
  4. But my point was that there wasn't anywhere on the park where you could meet Mando and Grogu at least last August there wasn't. Baby Yoda was the biggest thing Star Wars has come up with in years so it seemed weird not to put a guy in a suit holding a little animatronic doll and put him in the building with Darth Vader or outside Star Tours.
  5. But there is also the other area in WDW where you can meet star wars characters in there building near the Disney Junior area. My daughter met Chewie and BB-8 there. At first your theory kind of made sense to me but then I remembered you could also meet Darth Vader there (my daughter didn't want to meet him).
  6. Wow that's fast. We were at Disney world last August and they didn't even have a Mando character.
  7. My wife and I have been binging this show over the last week and a bit and have just started season 3. It is pretty fun and the soundtrack is pretty amazing for a show that doesn't seem to be that big. One thing I think would be a bit better would be less Breem (who is a weirdo) and more Greta and Ernie. Because Ian Gomez is freaking hilarious. I weirdly kind of noticed that too in the scene where he rescues Danny. I have only tried surfing once and even though I was relatively fit at the time swimming regularly I found it a crazy hard workout and was super sore the next day. With how much Tyler surfs he should be in crazy good shape.
  8. Watched the first episode after seeing a trailer before Physical. Definitely has enough to make want to watch more. I have always liked Jennifer Garner and she can pretty easily carry a show like this. I am.a pretty big fan of Aisha Tyler, especially from Archer. Although it will be weird that based on their jobs in this show, neither of them will probably kick anyone's ass. Also the use of Long Lost by Lord Huron at the end of the episode was really well done.
  9. For that matter, Jermain and Justin started only 13 minutes behind the team ahead of them makes me think they just forgot about their penalty. I mean they should have been 6 hours behind at least someone. I get that having them be a ferry or two behind would make for a boring leg, and difficult with the faceoff. But just ignoring it was annoying. I am enjoying this season though. Although my kids are getting annoyed a bit though since in every episode they have gone someplace I have been. I grew up in Victoria and my dad had a business in Sooke so this was a big one.
  10. Keep in mind though that neither Nebula nor Rocket are humans. So their backgrounds would play a huge role in how they respond to that sort of thing. Not sure about Gamora's exact background, but as we saw in this movie, Rocket came from a world of clones and other genetic experiments. So someone who looks exactly like your friend but isn't may be something he has experience with and knows how to deal with. Peter's reaction makes sense though since as we have seen of all the Guardians he is the one most likely to react based on emotions. I mean it's 5 years later and people still complain about him punching Thanos in IW.
  11. Plus Rocket and Nebula they had the whole blip period to accept that Gamora was dead before the new one showed up. Which would make it way easier to accept that they were two different people. For Quill and the rest of the guardians it would have been maybe a few hours depending on how long the battles in IW and EG took.
  12. Yea compared to some of the other issues with this series that was a relatively small one. Although a simpler line about how Fury and his Skrull agents collected every super being DNA sample they could over the past 30 years would have made more sense. That way you can easily explain that he might have just gotten her DNA from a glass she was drinking out of at Stark's funeral (or back in the 90's). The dumber thing is that he collected those DNA samples and then decided to mix them up in a single vial.
  13. Which would likely mean that an AI script would potentially be way better than this series was.
  14. Well he did better there than he did in this show. He knew something was up since he contracted those mercenaries to hijack the SHIELD ship. And he knew at a certain point he needed to talk to Steve in private. Plus his SUV had better security features than his damn house. I did also see it pointed out somewhere how it was kind of dumb that Fury didn't want any Avengers fighting his battles for him, but he was ok with getting G'iah to fight his battle for him. How is that any better. I don't know, some kind of pinprick test for someone say if they want access to the president doesn't seem that unreasonable. It is also weird that the Skrulls stayed secret for so long, if they shift back when killed or seriously injured. Like in the 30 years since CM none have been killed in public in like a car accident or something?
  15. That was sort of what I was thinking. If the UK was about to go to nuclear war with another country it would be all over the news. So maybe she picked up on that sort of subconsciously. Then she did her murders (used them as an excuse) but no matter what happened the nukes were going to go off.
  16. Couldn't it still be that way? If a nuclear war happens I am not sure it would be a super sudden thing. So there could be a lot of events in the media that led up to it. Nida could have picked up on that kind of coverage subconsciously and instead of dealing with it, maybe she lost her mind and hallucinated the demon. Because we can't really know if the attack at the end would have still happened even she had killed the last guy. The fact that the demon changed the rules on her makes me think it would have.
  17. Take any movie about playing high stakes poker, change the card game to Uno and make it a Walk Hard style parody of those movies.
  18. Which itself is kind of weird since if the Skulls meant business so much that they wanted to start a global nuclear war, why not just kill the hostages. Keeping them alive just increases the risk that one gets free and blows up your whole plan. Like they are good with killing millions of humans, but Rhodey and Shooter McGavin, we won't kill you. But this show had a lot of stupid and this episode was no exception. Which is too bad since I was really hoping it would be the MCU version of Andor. Because thinking about the big fight at the end, I can accept that Fury might have gathered all those DNA samples after various battles. But why would you keep them in one mixed up sample like some kind of super DNA fruit punch. Plus once the Gravik had the sample how did the Skrull computer know who's DNA was in it. It seems like to do that you would need another DNA sample to compare it to. In which case why did they need the one from Fury?
  19. Man Fury kind of sucked in this. Where was the guy from Winter Soldier who was many steps ahead of anyone and pretty much willing to do anything needed to get the results he wanted. Ok sure the blip changed him, but even if it changed his personality it shouldn't have made him stupid. All he did pretty much this whole series was react to what other people were doing. And I am still annoyed by the crappy excuse as to why Fury and CM couldn't find the Skrulls a home. That planet that Thanos retired on was right there. And Carol knows about it. Not to mention why are the Kree just coming to the table for treaty talks now. What the hell has Carol been doing for 30 years? Also one weird little thing, I noticed that when fake Rhodey got shot, there was purple blood on the wall before his body shifted back to normal form. I get it is a cool looking visual but it kind of suggests that to find out if someone is a Skrull you just have to draw some blood. That is actually the kind of Fury I wish we had seen more of in this show. It's the same guy who ordered Natasha to blow up a building to kill one guy, even though it meant killing kids.
  20. What is crazy is that even if you ignore the other two (and I realize that is a gigantic if) Polanski is basically a convicted fugitive. And I saw one of the organizers say they basically don't care because his accuser forgave him, but all it takes is to watch the first 30 seconds of any of the 400+ episodes of Law and Order to know that it is "the people" that convict people in the criminal justice system not the victims. Also what is up with that list, was Bill Cosby not available for a special 36th anniversary screening of Leonard Part 6?
  21. My Big Fat Greek Wedding came out in 2002. Who the hell at that point would have though it was a smart move to take percentage of a movies profits? Even I have known for a long time that you always get percentage of revenue not profits, and I am just some guy. There are stories about the actors from Star Wars from 1977 not getting money for the exact same reason. How the hell did professional Hollywood people like agents or managers 20+ years later not know it was a bad idea?
  22. I think at one point Nebula also calls Mantis, "Mant" which also sounds weird but is a nice way to show how close everyone had gotten. Also speaking of Mantis it seems she learned how to fight since volume 2, since she had some impressive moves in the various fight scenes. And now I want to know who taught her to fight, and would probably pay to see like a marvel one shot of Nebula or Drax teaching her fighting. Also I heard Dog Days Are Over on the radio today and it made me really smile and kind of sad to think about Drax dancing with the kids at the end of the movie, so thanks alot James Gunn. But I do love the ending, especially how Nebula was the one to realize that those kids would need father figures and Drax would make a great one. Considering that her father was freaking Thanos it was a nice moment.
  23. I really hope this is setting up for a kick ass finale since so far this show hasn't done a great job at grabbing my attention. As for the harvest, it would be funny if Fury gave Gravik someone's power that he knows would destroy him. Like how his body couldn't handle becoming a super soldier or how Wanda or Captain Marvel's powers break his brain. That was really dumb. She just talked about how secure the house was and then right after that people are shooting through windows and breaking in. The only security was a backpack full of guns. Fury's car in Winter Soldier had more security features. Also speaking of guns, why do the Skrulls rely on crappy human guns. Shouldn't they have something better? What is weird is that that guy is still around. You would think that for someone involved in security for whoever Rhodey is and possibly the president, having an arm in a sling would be a problem.
  24. That shoot out was pretty well done, but I am not sure how much help Fury and Talos thought they would be when the president already had a whole bunch of secret service and army dudes protecting him. Also I am not really sure at what point Mrs. Fury decided to betray Fury and why. Was it just a loyalty to her people thing or is there more to it? You would think that would be a big part of the deal. If the president selects Rhodey to be in his cabinet, you would think a requirement of an that is that it is a package deal and he gets War Machine too. Also after watching GOTG3 last night:
  25. Watched it tonight and I think it might be my favourite post-endgame movie. I liked how all of the main characters had stuff to do and no one was really forgotten. Plus the ending with Dog Days Are Over was amazing. I also thought the song worked since it was really the first "modern" song even though it is like 15 years old. A good way to show that it's change. I also liked how Creep by Radiohead was used at the beginning, especially since the band supposedly hates that song. I also liked where all the characters sort of ended up and I would be totally interested in getting little follow up bits over the next few years. Plus I would totally watch a Disney plus series about Mantis travelling the galaxy and learning about herself. It wouldn't even need any villain in it. And I would be way more interested in that then the upcoming Echo or Ironhheart shows. Original Gamora and Nebula's good relationship was basically built during that scene between them in the cave on Ego's planet in Volume 2. And their who conversation happened kind of spontaneously. So I can see how Nebula would not want go through the effort and pain to deliberately recreate that conversation.
