  1. Her eating the giant burger like corn on the cob was really funny. I also appreciated how she wasn't really afraid to get super messy. I said to my daughter that I guess she is done for the night after this sketch since I imagine she would probably want to take a shower after that.
  2. I was just about to write the same thing. I think his goal was that David would completely buy that he was River and he could tell him to take his pills and get in the bath. The weird thing was if you are a secret assassin why would you carry any ID on you even your fake ID. Plus I imagine that letting Harkness go would require a pretty big cover up, especially after the Patrice shootout and Harkness in public with the grenade. So if you are going to cover that up, you don't want another investigation going on at the same time looking into how Patrice died.
  3. I think either right before or right after the grenade you hear someone say that the kill order is rescinded. I guess they pretty quickly figured that with his dad trying to kill him that they weren't working together. Although it was annoying that River didn't get to confront anyone about that order. They said something at one point that the fake River was carrying sedatives. So they were going to drug David while in the bath so he would fall asleep and drown. But I still think that if David and Sam were to die really close to each other someone would be suspicious. Even if it looked like natural causes. That was an enjoyable but super tense episode. Loved Lamb taking out the assassin with the liquor bottle. Next season looks interesting. I wonder if Flyte will end up at Slough House for losing 4 dogs in 1 attack.
  4. You're probably right he wouldn't. I just think it is funny in hindsight and knowing what we know that he would probably have been better off just letting it go.
  5. I feel like when the season is over I will need to rewatch the first episode. Just to see how the timeline between the bombing, the figuring out the name and then the guy trying to kill David plays out. Plus it seems like Harkness would have been better off leaving things alone. Sam didn't seem to care, even if he knew the names on those passports. And with David's dementia he didn't seem like much of a threat. And even if killing them both had worked, I have to imagine that someone would have noticed if David and Sam had died at around the same time. Even if it was just Lamb or Standish.
  6. Yea I am a bit curious too. Who were they trying to kill with the original bombing(was it an enemy of the guy in the hotel who was going to chip himnup). And was it really going to be so obvious to David Cartwright who the assassin was that they had to kill him too. And if that was the case how did they manage all the other assassinations over the years? Although the end credits where you could hear River breathing over the music was really effective.
  7. Hopefully at that altitude you would lose consciousness pretty quickly. Otherwise that would be horrible. When the co-pilot was being dragged out of the cockpit that was the first thing I thought of. I hope someone says "good luck, we're all counting on you" to Athena next episode. With this ridiculous show I expect that the traumatic brain injury is going to lead to a huge shift in his personality where he becomes nice, and the rest of the LAFD just sort of go with it. Or his has amnesia and forgets why he hates the 118.
  8. Car trunks have had emergency release handles on the inside for over 20 years. It shouldn't take the dude that long to get out.
  9. Probably for the best. The show had some fun moments and was watchable when nothing else was on but it was far from being good. And when you are a spin off of a show that was actually good (so people can make comparisons) that is tough. Curious to see if any of the kids find any other jobs. Especially the actress who was Leia who always seemed like one of those sit come little kid actors (like on full house) who read all her lines like they were one liners that someone just told her.
  10. The other strange thing I was thinking of, is that if the flat earth thing was a conspiracy theory with even the slightest bit of credibility, you know there would be some billionaire weirdo with access to a rocket (like Musk or something) who would be like "I want to see what is on the other side" and launch a rocket to see what was on the other side of the flat surface.
  11. Poor dumb River. He goes all the way to France and then just barges into the house instead of doing the smart thing and sitting outside for awhile and seeing if anyone is in there. I feel like someone at the very least needs to buy him, the complete series of Burn Notice on DVD to help him pick up some spy skills if he ever wants to leave Slough House.
  12. I feel like you have to just accept it otherwise every movie and show is going to be filled with pointless, clunky Poochie style dialogue where someone asks "where's ..." and they have to come up with dumb excuses as to why some other hero who could be of assistance isn't there. Iron Man 3 is basically the same thing. One of the main themes in that movie is that Tony has major PTSD from the events of Avengers. But until you see Bruce in the end credits, none of the other Avengers seem to have checked up on him, or help him out when he needs it.
  13. I think even ignoring the gender aspects of the story, having a character show up in the final episode and make a big difference in the story is kind of bad writing, and kind of steals the thunder from the actual main characters. It also makes you wonder why they didn't show up earlier. Having them show up after the credits would be even worse for that. As for Strange he is kind of a self-involved dick. So, especially after he was no longer Sorcerer Supreme I can easily see him thinking that Westview was Wong's problem.
  14. Watched the last episode tonight and it was easily the best one. I wish the whole series could have been like this. The whole thing with Benoit and the denial about CTE and then WWE developing concussion protocols was super interesting and could have been an episode just by itself. Especially since I have seen Chris Nowinski in a few other documentaries about CTE and he is always super interesting. Although what's up with Stone Cold Steve Austin not believing that CTE is real. Does he think all those NFL players having pretty severe mental health issues was just some weird coincidence? And of course all the sexual misconduct could easily have been multiple episodes in its own. Although with what Netflix paid for Monday Night Raw they probably don't want to completely rip apart the company.
  15. I was probably 98% sure he wasn't dead what with never showing his face when he went in the house. But in the back of my mind that other 2% wondered if it wasn't some kind of double fake out. Also did the Alka-seltzer actually mean something since Lamb first looked for it in the bathroom then bought some in the shop. Or was he just hungover?
  16. What's weird is that you would think that someone with the means to take a flight around the world would be less likely to believe the earth was flat. Unless of course all pilots are in on the conspiracy and wait until you are asleep and then turn the plane around so you don't realize.
  17. I have watched 5 episodes so far and so far it has been ok. I was a huge wrestling fan during both the Rock n Wrestling days as a kid and during the attitude era in my early 20's. So pretty much everything from episodes 1-4 and a good chunk of 5 I already knew (other than the on camera stuff from after the merger since by that point I stopped watching). So far I wish it had been more of in investigation into Vince and how terrible he is. Like they spent more time on the stupid Montreal Screw job than they did on the (what seem like credible) rape accusations from the former referee. Especially since unless you are going to reveal that Bret was in on the whole thing, what else is there possibly to say about Montreal. And they just briefly mentioned how he may have intervened when it came to Superfly Snuka and his girlfriend's murder. The only interesting and surprising thing I have seen so far is the stuff at the end of episode 5 where Shane left the company. Especially the shit from Paul Heyman about how Vince told Shane that if he didn't like his management he would have to kill him to take over. Because I absolutely believe Vince would say that. And the only other really shocking thing was footage of the PPV after Owen's fall. I don't think I have ever seen it before so actually seeing the blood on the mat was really shocking. I haven't seen Mick Foley do an interview in a long time, but am pretty sure he has no memory of doing the hell in the cell. I think he said that shortly after it happened so I imagine his memories about the rest of his career aren't much better.
  18. I am about 4 episodes in and it's ok but not great. I was expecting way more of an expose on McMahon and his scandals but so far this is way more of just a history of the WWF/WWE. But I was around 20 when the attitude era and was in grade 4 when WrestleMania 3 happened so I already know about all of this stuff. I mean they spent way more time talking about the Montreal screw job than they did talking about the rape accusations from the female referee. And I am tired of hearing about Montreal since it is the one thing where I agree with Vince's choice. The Behind the Bastards podcast did a series on Vince and it did a way better job digging into all of his scandals.
  19. His lawyers also destroyed any credibility the LAPD might have had at the time. I have been watching the Mr. McMahon documentary series on Netflix and just watched the episode where he won against the Feds on his steroid trial in the 90's.
  20. Seth Meyers had a great line, I think in Corrections where he wondered if people like that think the earth is flat, do they also the moon is flat?
  21. As for the walk, he did tear both his quad muscles at the exact same time (on camera) in 2005. He would have been 59 at the time so I imagine at that age that would have been a hard injury to recover from.
  22. Watched the first episode last night. It was interesting with the footage, but a lot of it was the same stuff they talked about on the Behind the Bastards podcast series about Vince McMahon. Especially the John Stossel and Richard Belzer stuff. Also I haven't really watched wrestling since the Attitude Era but what happened to Vince's voice?
  23. I think, in general, even if someone is super guilty they still need someone on their side to make sure things are fair. Otherwise who would be there to stop the prosecutor's side from tacking on extra charges or bringing in witnesses who make up shit or trying to get excessive prison sentences?
  24. No one ever talks to anyone unless they need help. None of the Avengers came to T'Challa's funeral, the rest of them just let Clint go on a murder spree and No Way Home would have been over in about 5 minutes if Pepper had made a statement that Mysterio was full of shit and then called MIT to recommend Peter get in.
  25. Yea the end of Wandavision wasn't really her seeing what she did wrong and trying to be good. I had to read a summary of the finale to remember but she stopped Agatha from taking her powers and then removed the barrier around Westview only after Agatha had lifted the sitcom spell from the townspeople. And then after that it was more trauma as she lost her recreated Vision and her fake kids and then had to confront what she did to the town. Dealing with that by isolating yourself in a cabin and being alone with your thoughts doesn't seem like a good way to process it and move past it. It seems more like a way to think about how great your fake life was and how you really want those kids back.
