With all the bullshit that we have seen that has gone on in the galaxy since Star Wars started, not sure I can blame a planet for isolating themselves. I really like this show though. It's fun with new characters and what seems like an all new story. I also liked the woman from the brothel who helped the girls. And it was funny that she had to ask them if they were kids. Since in Star Wars who the hell knows.

But what is the "source material"? This isn't a movie based off of a single novel. It's over 80 years of comics continuity with countless retcons and a bunch of alternate universes. So if someone uses a story from the 90's is that faithful? Lots of the Avengers stuff is based on the Ultimate storyline, which itself isn't faithful to the original Avengers. Wolverine, Storm anf Nightcrawler aren't original X-Men so is that paying respect to the source material. What if for the next Spiderman movie they decided he would be friends with Iceman and Firestar. Not the source material but Spiderman and his Amazing Friends is pretty classic for a lot of people my age. Actually now that I think about it for the next Spiderman movie I really hope that Peter has to rent out rooms in Aunt May's apartment just to help make ends meet while he goes to college. And he rents to two other college students named Bobby and Angelica.

Also if you hire adults you don't have to worry about them actually doing school work or having tutors or that sort of thing.

I don't think that comic book fans are one homogeneous group that all share the same opinions. If they did it would be way easier to write comics since there would be no debate among fans.

Wow I wouldn't have guessed that BP3 was a priority.

I am not a big enough Star Wars fab to go back and watch all those animated series. Especially because the animation looks weird to me (and not in a good way). But if people are going to get upset about the sequel trilogy doing the nostalgia play, then the Filoni shows seem way worse. After Mando season 1 they just became a sequel to something I will never watch. And in some cases an average (Ahsoka) or bad show (Boba Fett) isn't really going to convince me to watch more of a similar storyline.

That was a fun finale for a ridiculous show. Pretty much everything Nadja did was amazing. I loved her talking about how she knows about humans now. And her bit about Guillermo being like a little shit dog in a rain coat was really funny. I also enjoyed Colin Robinson's annoying goodbye platitudes. Finding out that there were fake out hypno endings was interesting. I got Newhart, and real life Nandor being freaked out by his dream and the woman more clever then him was good. Also noticed that the actors who played Shawn and The Baron were in the closing credits so the extra endings made sense then. Overall this was a pretty great show. Probably a top 10 sitcom for me and one I will for sure watch again at some point. I can't believe I only started watching it last year after Paul Reubens died and people were talking about his guest appearance. And then to find out the showrunner was Paul Simms who created Newsradio, one of my all time favourite sitcoms made it even better.

The sequels weren't great but I am not sure Filoni's stuff is much better. Since Mandalorian season one show he has worked on in that storyline have been on a downward trend. Plus as much as much as The Force Awakens was like "remember the original trilogy" his shows are like "remember that cartoon I made like 10 years ago".

My kids used to watch those shows. And as dumb as they were I imagine they were boot camp for actors since they probably learn a ton. I just looked it up and Grande did 92 episodes of Victorious and Sam & Cat in like 4 years. I am just glad she didn't do that super annoying voice from those shows in Wicked.

When was that part? Weren't they just planning on taking the car for a drive before it locked out the Black friends in the group?

Finished it last night and I think the ending was good. The Hollywood is bullshit angle was interesting, the only thing that would have made it better would have been Andy Samberg as the movie version of Barry. I do wonder though how much John accepts of the official story. His mom told him that his dad is a killer so did he remember that? Or has he blocked out all those memories. And I know the LAPD in this show is pretty stupid but there was the one lady detective with the red/brown hair who seemed to think there was more to the story. Did she just accept it all? I liked Sally's ending though. She isn't all better. She is still pretty messed up, and couldn't say I love you to her son (and the fact that a teenager said that to their mom in public was pretty amazing). But she actually smiled at him and was able to talk to him rather than just giving him vodka so she wouldn't have to deal with him. The only thing I might have changed is having her take a more active role in keeping John safe when the shooting started. Maybe with Fuches helping them get to safety. And speaking of the shooting, it was funny that when Hank died, Cristobal's statue was full of bullet holes, but the huge glass panel wall behind him was fine.

He was really mad about Andy Samberg doing an impression of him on SNL. Samberg and Harder are friends. How did Sally even know Gene's phone number? Gene told his son in the previous episode he got a new one.

Sally's house getting attacked didn't make much sense but they did a great job making it super tense. It's weird. In this episode when the door is shut you can hear the person talking about how he has something in his eye, which is the dialog from the guy who was trying to kill Sally after she stabbed him. But there is also someone taking about how the kid won't wake up and is dead. I wonder if that is just her brain feeling guilty for how shitty a mom she is. Also when Fuches got out of prison and was wearing the white tank top he looked like an alternate universe version of Bill Dauterive who some how managed to become a badass. Although it would make sense that if anyone could play badass Bill Dauterive it would be Stephen Root.

That episode was pretty wild. I definitely thought it was a dream for a long time. Especially when Barry's framed military stuff just appeared in the dirt out of nowhere. They definitely did a great job showing how isolated and shitty it was. The kid didn't even know that giant trees existed. And I noticed that the kid said that his room was cold at night, then in one of the dinner scenes following that you can see that the windows behind Barry are open. Also where did that kid get the vintage Masters of the Universe shirt? With how isolated he was a shirt with a giant dude with a sword riding a green tiger must have led to so many questions. On the other hand I did find dark haired, drunk, trashy Sally kind of hot. Although I always laugh at how on TV, wigs can go from really fake to almost perfect looking as soon as you have a camera cut.

Sandler showing up was pretty fun for me. But the funniest part was that it seemed that they had to fix the sprayer mid-sketch. Nancy Grace saying she was being haunted by the ghost of JonBenet was also really funny.

Wait were old fans abandoned by the movies or actually by comics? Are you saying they should be writing the same types of stories they were in the 60's to try to appeal to 70 year olds? Because that means no Miles Morales, no high tech T'Challa, no Deadpool and no Wolverine. I have read a lot of those 60's marvel stories and while they are good, I think even Stan Lee would say you have to evolve.

But if he didn't actually do it where were his people to make sure he didn't end up in a situation where he could be accused, or provide the evidence that he couldn't possibly have done anything? If the parents of the accusers have some kind of fault for it happened then maybe so does Jay-Z.

But if old fans are such an important block of fans, why don't they buy more comics? Plus I would argue that younger fans are more important because they will be fans for longer and are more likely to actually go see movies. Like someone who was 14 in 1962 when Spiderman first appeared in comics is now 76. I don't think there are many movies marketed to 76 year olds at all. On the flip side my daughter is 11 and loves Spiderman. But she is way more excited to find out when the next Spider-verse movie comes out than the next Tom Holland movie.

I feel that stretch of movies could have been seen as way different with just a few change. First off probably don't make Eternals. Based on how we haven't really seen anything from those characters since then it seems kind of unnecessary. Plus 4 MCU movies in 1 year was a lot. The other big hit was Chadwick Bozeman dying. A BP2 with him starting in it would have been a way bigger deal (and probably better than what we got). And looking back I think recasting, even if it meant pushing the movie back a couple of years was probably the better play. And then just make Ant-Man good. Either by keeping the low key heist movie feel of the first two or by not making it so much CGI that it looked like a Star Wars prequel. Not sure why they needed to have someone fight Kang so soon. It was years of just getting hints about Thanos before he actually did something big in IW. Because with those things changed that 2 year stretch of movies from 2021-2023 becomes pretty decent I think. Shangi Chi and Black Widow pretty good. And No Way Home and Guardians 3 were pretty great.

Your comment made me think of something. Jay-Z is rich and could possibly be a target for a false accusation or any kind of extortion scam. So if people are going to ask where the accusers parents were, you could also ask where Jay-z's security team was to make sure he couldn't end up in a position where he might be accused of something?

Cristin Milioti, would have probably been awesome, because she is awesome in everything. But playing Elphaba might have meant missing out on being in The Penguin, which is a net loss for me as a viewer.

There was a lot of funny stuff in this episode from all the bomb and all stuff to everything with Gene and his agent (and that agent guy seems to be super funny in a lot of things). But the funniest thing might have been Natalie talking how she never could have imagined going to an premiere with Sally in a limo, and then Sally shuts the door in her face. He was also yelling and hitting himself in the head because he wasn't getting what he wanted. It's not that hard to imagine someone going from hitting themself like that to hitting their partner. One thing I have noticed though is this show does a great job of holding the camera on people for a bit longer than typical, even when they aren't talking. Like when Sally was making her speech and then Katie watching her. Or Barry through the window after Sally dumped him.

Unless the parents have like a reverse alibi that proves their kid wasn't there, or they were actually accomplices I am not sure how it changes thing. Like what difference does it make if they were super strict parents and their kid snuck out, or if they were passed out on the couch or if they took their kid to the party because they couldn't find a babysitter, if an assault happened?

Teenagers do dumb shit. But I am not sure any dumb shit they do is relevant to someone possibly being sexually assaulted.

I am not sure I follow that logic. Would it have been better if it had been a 25 year old?
