  1. But then the door fell outward rather than inward with no sign of the rod or the hooks holding it. Plus I just watched it and the inside part of the door frame had kind of a lip on it, so even without the hinges there was no way for it to fall inward.
  2. That's why I mentioned that it made no sense to melt the latches off from the outside. It's a freezer, you lock it closed from the outside. You wouldn't make it so you can lock it from the inside since no one working at a butcher shop would ever need to lock themselves inside. And then when the door fell off, the rod actually locking it shut was gone.
  3. There is some weird stuff about Nick Fury's fake death. A couple of other things to add. Peter Parker and Happy knew who he was in Far From Home and knew he was alive. He even had a reputation to them, what with the whole you don't ghost Nick Fury thing. Also just before he gets dusted he is travelling with Maria Hill and tells her to call control or something, so he obviously knows who to call.
  4. They must have some kind of detection right? Otherwise how does Talos know when he is talking to his daughter? And why aren't other Skrulls pretending to be Talos all the time. Maybe, but it's not like she spends a lot of time hanging out on earth, so she could just as easy chase the Kree and others away from another planet. As for the clueless population, as long as all million Skrulls don't show up all at once any other planets would probably be just as clueless. Or find an empty planet and you don't have to worry about a clueless population. Also I did find it funny that Rhodey officially fired Fury from the US Government since up until that point I wasn't really sure he was working for the government in any official capacity. Like who exactly does he work for? Shield doesn't seem to exist in the movies and D+ shows I don't think.
  5. I hope they give some more information about this. Because of all the planets they went to where they found violence and hate, earth was the best one?
  6. That fight scene in the butcher shop was cool, although why did they need to burn the locks off the door to the cooler when it was latched from the outside? The only thing locking it from the inside was the bar that the spy lady put across that hook. That kind of bugged me that week. They have time travel, space travel, flying cars and magic and no one can make a Skrull detector?
  7. This season seemed to start strong then had kind of a steady decline. I don't really mind them trying something different but the deal with the disco demon and the is it real or is she mentally ill ending which doesn't really matter was kind of annoying. I did like the setting and how it looked like something filmed in the 70's though. And the actress who played Nida. And I really liked how as she did more killing her look and the music moved from disco to harder stuff (the leather jacket and One Step Beyond). Overall though with season I am just happy we didn't have any brain downloaded into a computer episodes.
  8. I think part of it was also that back in the 60's astronauts were legitimate celebrities. Like if I saw an astronaut today in a movie theatre they would just be another person. If the ship requires two people to work it, the smart move would be to have more than 2 people on it. Because even though you aren't going to catch some contagious illness, what is the contingency plan if one of the guys slips and hits his head, or has a heart attack or some other emergency health issue.
  9. Not really though I don't think. Since David couldn't jump into either robot from his bed. As for the robots taking to long, they could have just built him some kind of basic prototype that wasn't a human replica, so that at least he could have some communication with someone back home. It seems like everyone is a dumbass back home. I mean they have super life like robots that run on some magic power source. Plus the ability to run space missions that are years long and they have the brain transfer thing. But everyone is driving the same crappy cars and watching the same crappy tvs as they were in our world at the time.
  10. I saw Lord Huron last night as they played Ottawa Jazz Festival. Prior to 2019 I never heard of them. But I saw them open for Arkells that year and still remember thinking how they were the best opening band I ever saw. And after last night I'm an even bigger fan. Last night they were even better. Put on a really fun and energetic show. Even though it rained for part of it, it was such a warm night no one cared. Plus Ottawa Jazzfest was an interesting festival. I paid a bit extra for a platinum ticket. That gave me access to the area at the front of the stage where there was actually seating. Seating was just maybe 10 rows of folding camping chairs set up but I found a spot in the second row right in front of the bass player. They finished the show with the Neil Young song Harvest Moon which was kind of perfect.
  11. Then you can make it where the robot is paired to the bed thing the people lie in and that has to be done when they are in the same room. Since David had to use Cliff's bed to link to his robot body.
  12. That was really dumb. Especially with the werewolf thing just being the last 5 minutes. I think they maybe could have saved it if there was a follow up scene showing Bo as much richer, but the world kind of fucked up because there are werewolves now. Like would anyone care about celebrity gossip at that point. Was it the actress who got high and then decided to go out for a drive at night in the rain to get some smokes? I did think it was kind of interesting that they didn't make Mazey a totally good and innocent person.
  13. Considering how long the episode was I am not sure why they couldn't have thrown in an extra line or two to better explain why they couldn't build a new robot. Because even a super basic non-lifelike robot would be a huge improvement for David. And all it would have taken to clarify it would have been a line about how they can build a new one, but for the initial robot-human brain pairing they need to be in the same room.
  14. That really annoyed me to. Because if you can figure out lifelike robots and brain transfer through space then having the robots on the ship makes way more sense. Not to mention if you have that much advanced technology (including artificial gravity) why is your space ship crew only 2 people? I saw David become obsessed with Lana the minute they suggested body sharing, although I really thought he was going to kill Cliff. But between how obvious that was and the robots not being on the ship thing, this was my least favourite BM episode in a long time.
  15. Plus she doesn't seem to have been going to war with the Kree either. It will be interesting to see how they make The Marvel's a current story without it being full of flashbacks. I kind of think I wouldn't have minded if they killed Hill, except for how lame it was. Just simply getting shot in the stomach by a regular old gun (not even a space gun). Then the cheesy overhead shot as she dies. They could have made her death way better. I was also thinking about Talos and his daughter and I wonder how he knows it is her when she is in human form? How does he know it isn't another Skrull who copied her human look?
  16. My expectations for The Marvels are super high. Because at the end of Captain Marvel she told Yon Rogg that she was coming for the Supreme Intelligence and was basically going to shut down the Kree Empire. But in 2014 the empire was still a thing since in GOTG they were signing a treaty with Xandar. Then now we see the Skrulls still don't have a home. So the writers will need to do a really good job explaining what exactly distracted Carol for all those years. Especially with the whole year delay that the movie has had.
  17. Speaking of K.E.V.I.N if this series ends on a big fight that conveniently ties up all the loose ends, it's going to look really stupid.
  18. As much as that is obviously for money saving, I did like the creative way they showed the change for that one Skrull guy when he showed up at the nuclear plant. How his face changed as he pulled his hat off. Because I remember watching captain Marvel and thinking how those were the best shape shifting effects I had ever seen. So they obviously aren't cheap. On top of the other planets I previously mentioned there is also the one that Thanos retired to. Captain Marvel has even been to that one.
  19. If Hill gets taken out by a plain old single bullet that is going to suck. Just thinking about the tech in the MCU, bullet proof skin cream should be an option, not to mention the kind of tech to instantly cure a gun shot wound. Also speaking of Tech it is kind of interesting that neither Tony or T'challa are around any more since it maybe helps explain why no one has invented a Skrull detector. I did like this overall. It was pretty obvious who Talos's daughter was once they said they said she was missing. I always like seeing Ross as a badass spy. Not just because it is Tim from The Office but because it is completely different from the comics Ross I remember which I find funny. The line about how he can call himself an old (certain phrase that describes spies but also is a slur against Black people) but Hill can't was also pretty funny. Lastly, what the hell Captain Marvel? It's been like 30 years and you can't find a planet for the Skrulls to set up their home on? I feel like in that amount of time she could have taken over the Kree Homeworld and set up Skrulltown there and no one could have stopped her. Or that empty planet where Iron Man and friends fought Thanos. Or the one where the Guardians crashed in GOTG2.
  20. I liked this one. It was a good take on the whole true crime docu-series/podcast industry. The only issue I had was I had to turn the captions on which was surprising since I am usually good with various British accents. I didn't mind that it wasn't based on some kind of crazy technology since I find a lot of times those big technological story bits aren't really well thought out. Like technology will be super advanced in one area but everything else will look exactly like our world. Which doesn't really make sense.
  21. I was kind of indifferent to this until I watched some of the trailers recently and now I am kind of excited. Marvel has come pretty close but hasn't had a really awesome show for awhile (I didn't like the twist ending of She Hulk and wish Ms. Marvel didn't even bother with a villain) so I am hoping this can be the one. I have always liked Cobie Smulders and I hadn't I didn't realize that Everett Ross was in this one. Even though he is a completely different character than his comics character they made him really interesting. The big thing though is I hope we see Fury doing some dirty morally questionable shit. My favourite little thing in CA:WS is how he hired the mercenaries at the beginning knowing some of them would probably be killed. And then in the Black Widow movie we find out he ordered a building to be blown up to kill one guy.
  22. I wonder if the computer could make that big of a change. Because Annie Murphy Joan said she had to smash the computer because that is what real Joan did. As for the lawyer though what shocked me is that they, especially Salman's lawyer who knows she is rich, would turn down the chance to rack up a ton of billable hours just because they can't win the case.
  23. Just make a Tobey Maguire Spider man movie you Sony dumbasses. Other than being R rated this didn't do much to grab my attention. And I wish that Russell Crowe was in more stuff, since I always liked him as an actor.
  24. I have been rewatching this show with my kids and the second part of that line, how everyone at the part figured out his charade was Elvis immediately was amazing
  25. That is sort of what made it better I think. If Herb was presented as a cool guy who got lots of women but was constantly being shut down by Jennifer anytime he tried to ask her out or anything, it would have made it much worse. And I can see that another show from that time period might have done something like that.
