  1. I would love to seem them do an episode about Agent "Garbo" (Juan Garcia) from WWII. I only just learned about his escapades because he's the grandfather of someone I recently met. This is the guy from Spain who faked out Hitler. Such an amazing and unbelievable story!!
  2. I was so debating posting about the fake teeth! Thank you. Yes, why would you spend thousands of dollars with the dentist when you can have high quality veneers for a mere $14.95.
  3. I've been watching the series again on Comet TV. I really missed this show--it was so dark and funny at the same time.
  4. I just rewatched the very first episode and was reminded of why I started watching. Whitney was pretty normal and I really liked her. She talked about being 380 lbs and that she wanted to lose 100lbs in order to be FIT and fat. She said she started dancing again in order to enjoy what she loves, and possibly get in shape as a benefit. Her heartbreak about men who used to date her when she was thin, now looking through her as if she didn't exist was real and moving. When her father said he wanted her to lose weight so she could find a man who would marry her, it explained why she is angry with him. I miss this person.
  5. I'm hoping that these couple of episodes are not representative of the whole season. It's hard to tell what's missing from the formula--maybe it is that the storytellers are kind of dull, and they seem interchangeable. I did get a chuckle when they said: "You take the good, you take the bad, you take them both and there you have the facts of life".
  6. We may never know, and the Jon Benet case will likely end up alongside Jack the Ripper of never being solved. That being said, I think I'm more and more leaning towards Santa Bill as the killer. For me, it fits on many levels, but others feel the same way about other theories. So frustrating and sad. Regardless, every time I hear about this case all I can wonder is: who could possibly do this to another human being, let alone a beautiful little child?
  7. I love the fact that their being Asian is completely moot. They're just a normal family and that is awesome. That doesn't make me feel better for the dog. Count me in on the side of keeping the dog and getting rid of the baby. (although she is adorable)
  8. Oddly enough, there used to be a fabulous ear/skin medicine for dogs that was called HB-101. Coincidence? I wonder...
  9. I gave that show up after season 9 (I think) and probably hung on one season too long. It went from being a show about FBI profilers solving complicated crimes, to a soap opera about the profilers themselves, who occasionally deal with an incredibly gruesome crime.
  10. I was waiting for someone to post about this one for Swiffer but haven't seen it unless I missed something. The mom seems like a major OCD clean freak bitch. You have 2 little girls having fun baking in the kitchen and the first reaction that the mom has is that they made a mess. "What does that make mommy do?" Evidently mom turns into the incredible hulk. And you don't want to see mommy angry.
  11. I was drawn in by the big UFO bun thing that is on her head. Mesmerizing.
  12. I bought one. Love it! I went back and got a second one for the back of the house.
  13. It may just be me, but when George Hamilton says Extraaaaaa...Crisssspy...it sounds dirty. The next logical step is that the kid is his illegitimate son.
  14. You would be sadly surprised at how often this happens.
  15. It's pretty ridiculous on the small end too. I used to be a size 6, and now am probably a 000, but nothing about my body changed. It's just that 15 years have passed and the numbers shrank--not me. It's actually very frustrating.
  16. You and a few others said this about her parents and I agree 1000%. My parents were wonderful and tremendously supporting and loving, however the last time they came to something I was doing to cheer me on was when I was in high school, (unless you count graduations). After that I grew up, left home and got my own adult life. This to me is the epitome of the trophy generation of special snowflakes. I'm surprised they didn't go to the job interview with her too. I sure love Babs and Glenn but damn, if you stop treating her like she's 12 years old and shits rainbows maybe she would finally grow up.
  17. Yes, that's how I see it too. They've been friends since they were kids. Frank gets in some zingers as well so I see them on equal ground. In fact, I've been meaning to post about their friendship. It may be just me, but I feel like in the last few seasons the show has gone out of its way to highlight that Mike is married and Frank has girlfriends. It makes me wonder if they were concerned that people might think they were a gay couple. Of course I could very well be reading too much into that and never had them ping my radar.
  18. I think it's because they only recently released this information, at least that's what I can glean from the article:
  19. I have one, but what's one more?
  20. You all can have the tongs, I'll just quietly take the fireman and the calendar from the Zaxby's ad.
  21. With oncology drugs, they look at how much longer you will live by using the medication. It would be nice if all of these drugs cured cancer, unfortunately sometimes the best that can be done is extending one's life for as long as possible.
