  1. Did anyone else watch The Mod Squad marathon on Decades? That show really takes me back to my itty bitty youth where I had no understanding of the politics and the war. I just wanted to be Julie. It's dated, but by the same token what's old has become new again. Watching a few episodes where there were police beating up rioters and all the deep anger expressed by both sides was sadly too current.
  2. I think Brax would have had a better chance than Melissa. He was so willing to help Melissa and I wonder if that was his own cry for help.
  3. I think Tawny Kitaen's face is on the cusp of being plastic surgery gone bad. It was refreshing to see a woman who wanted the implants taken OUT, and not have Dr. Dubrow talk her into keeping them and making them bigger. I thought he was going to do that for a brief moment.
  4. I want to preface by saying that I have no love lost for the mother here, or for Scientology. That being said, it makes me a little sad that the mother is painted as so evil while the father isn't mentioned. Granted, he died when the kids were young, but he played a part as well. Also, the mother was a second generation CO$, so she was deeply brainwashed. Imagine being told that it's all your fault that your son is fucked up because of things you did while pregnant. It's possible that she believed that the more she interacted with him, the worse she made him. That whole idea of re-stimulation is just sickening. My take on why this season is different than season 1 is because there cannot be first person interviews. Lots of suicide in this one. I think they set the stage in season 1 for the big picture insanity of the CO$ organization and its leadership. Now they're focusing in on exposing the mental cruelty that does not have merely wacky and snark-inducing consequences, but deadly ones.
  5. I too could not muster up a ton of sympathy for her, and I don't know why. I kept waiting to care and am a bit worried that I'm getting jaded.
  6. I really wish they'd just stop with the famewhores.
  7. The JG Wentworth ads make me nostalgic for this guy:
  8. Considering all the love that Jerry Lewis is getting since his death, I feel obliged to add him to this forum. I never found him funny, and he always seemed like a total dick.
  9. The breast lady did come out great although I'm always amazed when they go for the enlargement even when they are told it could be riskier. Are bigger boobs really worth the risk? The nose job was stunning. I didn't think it looked all that bad at the beginning but the result was incredible.
  10. This post from @Sandman87 was from way back in February and I guess I missed it the first go around. Well, it's back. WTF? Because Raisin Bran Crunch is the chosen food of werewolves?
  11. That's a truly beautiful commercial. I have to hand it to Levis--they're often very good with music in their ads. It made me remember one that was set to 'I Walk the Line' and had a version of the song that was so beautiful I have tried (and failed) to find it on the internets.
  12. He often did shows at my college in the years he wasn't doing clubs. A loss indeed. FWIW, if you read the obit it says he beat cancer in 2001 so add 1 to the plus column in the 'fuck cancer' tally. However, it goes to show that when it's your time, it's your time.
  13. I took it to mean that they encouraged them to see a medical (competent) doctor vs. a psychiatrist (incompetent) and that it was a dig at the psychiatric profession. They don't treat the mentally ill i.e. they don't give them medications.
  14. I'm with you on that. Sylvia is so amazing, but her hair was all kinds of wonky.
  15. This show has made me feel that way about mouthwash and computer duster solution too.
  16. I couldn't agree more. Or at least if you want to have the 3rd surgery be a whack job, choose a patient that you can fix. It could have been interesting if the Canadian boob agreed to have her clown tits (tm biglistic) fixed to make them look more natural, maybe by reducing them. Just coming in for 15 minutes of questionable fame is getting incredibly tiresome. By the way, that pink Pamela Anderson wannabe saw 30 years old about a decade ago. Either that or she's been rode hard and put away wet. Dr. Nassif seems to be an actual professional and hot damn, can he do some amazing surgery. That nose job was spectacular. Terry Dubrow is just an ass.
  17. Yes, I did notice this and I don't like the new narrator. I loved the original commercials. I don't think Sir Froggy would be chipper after seeing what he sees day in and day out.
  18. Her breasts were definitely better, but they didn't look anything close to natural. They looked like two soft balls that were glued onto her chest, but that bothers me about most breast enhancements. It was definitely a bit weird for the mom of 2 little boys to wear a skimpy bikini that barely covered the new boobs.
  19. It may be more like: "Lifetime -- Television that Makes Women Hate Men"
  20. The Anissa Jones story very interesting. For all of these years I was under the assumption she was a drug addict and committed suicide.
  21. If companies removed ads because of obnoxiousness, 75% of commercials would disappear.
  22. But he saw it, and he had to have it!
  23. Besides, the government already has all of our DNA. They took a sample when they implanted our chips.
  24. I think OJ ran to Florida in order to scour golf courses for the real killer.
