The Bates family just seems so much more likeable than the Duggars. They all seem to be enjoying life and having fulfilling jobs. They actually seem to all have a work ethic. The Duggars just...exist.

The grocery store was weird. Not only was it deserted (what time was it, anyway?) but I don't recall ever being in a grocery store that did not have music playing over their speakers. This store was eerily quiet. (Or was it Sarah's head that wasn't hearing anything?) Curiouser and curiouser...

I think it's good that parents have the option of starting their children in school at the age they feel the child is ready. On the first day of kindergarten, I met my best friend (she still is!). I was four and she was six. I guess her mom held her back a year to get her more accustomed to speaking English (she was born in a foreign country) which seems to have worked well (She became a doctor). I guess my mom thought I was precocious enough to start school at a younger than usual age. (I secretly think she just wanted to get me out of the house). Beth knows Brynn and maybe starting her in school last year while all of the divorce craziness was going on may have made it hard for her.

Unless the pirate looks like Johnny Depp....

Lookingat the picture of the Rodriguez girl and Josie, all I could think was, "those are some jacked up teeth".... Josie will most likely get braces, but the other girl....

U don't know what pre-wedding haze Luann was living in, but she apparently forgot the ages of her children (grown adults) and had them serve as her flower girl and ring bearer. Now that's not al all humiliating....

Regarding this post: There was a Lutheran version of Scouts. Additionally, men were not allowed to join Lodges or Fraternal Orders because of the Oaths. This was why my brother stopping going to church. Wow, I must have been raised in an entirely different Lutheran church. My church was a sponsor of the boy scouts and would give special recognition at church services to those who had obtained the rank of eagle scout. I was a camp fire girl and my sunday school friend Debbie was a girl scout. My dad was an Elk, and my mother, a former Catholic, became a Lutheran when she married my dad. Maybe California Lutherans are more laid back.....

Ramona should always wear a t-shirt that says, "I'm sorry that you think I was a total bitch/c***/twat; that was not my intention." But then she would have to cover up her ginormous boobs!!!

Regarding Carole's screens.. Did Carole say she didn't have air conditioning? She just may not have had it turned on.

OMG... I watch Younger and did not make the connection until now. I guess all blonde waspy people look alike to me (that includes numerous members of my family). The Thanksgiving episode DID remind me of season 2 of Ladies of London. Juliette, who bears a striking resemblance to Jill, wanted a Thanksgiving celebration her way, and not at her friend's restaurant, because it wouldn't feel like "Thanksgiving". She coerced her British friend to host a Thanksgiving at her own home. (Because, as we all know, it's a British holiday...)

Regarding the Luann and Tom Big Break Up - I can hear Ramona cackling from here (and I'm in California!)

I don't care how sexy and alluring Ramona thinks she looks, those boobs of hers are ridiculous. Woman (yes, you are not a "girl") you are sixty effin years old.
