  1. Well, at least Jinger (out of the gang of Duggar girls) knows how to walk in heels....
  2. With regards to the bridesmaids footwear, none of the Duggar girls knows how to walk in heels. Who was going to show them? Michelle with her orthopedic clodhoppers? They need remedial teen girl courses in order to catch up... And, as to the color of the bridesmaids dresses, it looks as through Jinger picked Fall colors - like the colors of leaves that fall from the trees.
  3. Didn't you notice when Jessa's bridesmaids 9and the groomsmen) were leaving at the end of the "no kiss" ceremony that a person lunged out of the congregation and planted a big kiss on Anna? That was the back of Smugger's head. It was a very ,very, very quick peek. Also, Derrick's groom's attire needed tailoring. It looked too large (wide) for him.
  4. I usually get a TON of trick of treaters, most of them brought in vans by mothers from other neighborhoods. I hand out goodie bags (they usually consist of 2 pieces of candy, a small toy, a stick on tattoo and a rubber creepy crawly). Since Halloween is on Monday (A SCHOOL NIGHT), I only made up 80 bags. After they're gone, that's it. On years when Halloween is on weekend nights I get up to 120-30 of the little costumed beings. The advantage to being a generous "hander outer" is that the kids leave my house alone the rest of the year. Other neighbors may have problems with neighborhood hoodlums, but not me!
  5. I found it interesting that both Derrick and Jeremy referred to Jim Bob as "Jim Bob", but Ben referred to him as "Mr. Duggar".
  6. Back to the Wedding... Of COURSE they are getting married in time for November Sweeps. They probably made an agreement with JimBob who had most likely contracted with TLC for a wedding special. Strangely enough. my TLC channel (and no other channel) froze during the Jill and Derek section of last night's episode, so I didn't get to hear them discuss DangerAmerica. . Probably Divine Providence.
  7. How about a bottle of Vitameatavegemin? (It's so tasty, too!)
  8. My peeve for this day is the transition of the holiday season from Halloween to Christmas. Actually it's the lack of transition. I HATE seeing all of the Christmas merchandise out on the shelves while shopping for Halloween candy and do not appreciated "the holiday season" beginning on my birthday (the day after Halloween). Thanksgiving and fall are totally lost these days, since we're all busy celebrating Christmas all day every day from November 1 - December 26...
  9. Why do the frozen meal people insist on adulterating my dinners with peas and carrots? (The two most odious vegetables known to mankind),
  10. I'm thinking the wedding will be October 29. Just a feeling...
  11. I am so with you and the freezing office. I have driven home numerous times in 100 plus degree weather with the windows of my car rolled up, just to get my body temperature back up to normal after being in the freezing office all day. On to my pet peeves now: I hate it when people don't use the freeway on ramp correctly. It is designed to allow the driver to speed up with the flow of traffic before merging with traffic, not to drive at 20 miles per hour, looking for openings in traffic. It's a freeway. They are not going to slow down for you. Also, I am not trhilled with the yahoos who wait until their lane ends to switch lanes. If you don't want to exit, then plan ahead. That's what all of the signage is for. Lastly, what is with people who have to stop at every GREEN light? It's green. It means GO. Ahhh... thanks for the venting - it was a rough commute this morning...
  12. Regarding Jana - she reminds me of a few of my friends who were the eldest in their families. None of them have chosen to have children as they had already "raised" their brothers and sisters. Now, none of them were sister-moms on a Duggar level, so I can see why Jana has avoided marrying as she would be "expected" to have children. I really don't think she wants any of her own since the younger Duggars are already her children.
  13. Regarding Geena DAvis - it helps if you don't watch in Hi Def.
  14. I would most surely have had outdoor lighting installed around the house no matter what the cost! (There wasn't even one measly porch light...) . I hate unlit country roads and am frantically looking for an excuse not to attend an evening wedding later this year on a farm in the middle of nowhere with unlit winding country roads...
  15. I think the most puzzling thing (and most obvious denominator between Jeremy's parents and Jimblob was their reaction when he referred to Jinger's thrift store shopping. Jeremy and the folks took it as a plus that Jinger SAVES money by shopping in thrift stores (as apposed to retail stores) while Jimblob made it sound as though she was wasting thousands of dollars buying things. Also, I don't think ANY of the in-laws like Jimblob - especially the men! (Ben's Dad. Jeremy's dad and Derrick's stepdad). The mom's try, and probably feel sorry for Michelle and her horrible life, but it's kind of obvious that they won't be hanging around Jimblob if they can avoid it. Even Anna's super fundie parents seem to want to distance themselves from the Duggar family (for more than one reason)...
  16. There needs to be an intervention with Ramona. Someone needs to tell her that she is not the same age she was when she was in the dating pool before her marriage and she is a grown up now. A grown up who should not wear anything remotely see-through. She also needs to loose the giant boobs. They make her look like a beach ball! There is no waist definition at all. Tight clothing is also not her friend. Neither is scraggly hair... You're out there now, Ramona. Time to up your game.
  17. If the ring was 4 carats, she REALLY should have sold it!
  18. Okay, two things: 1, Aren't most little girls potty trained prior to their third birthday? I believe Jules told the "Potty Whisperer" that Rio "will be three next week". 2. Sonja referred to her flawless 2 carat diamond sitting in her safe. If she was as poor as she claimed the past few seasons, why didn't she sell the damn thing?!
  19. While Ramona's extensions are not flattering, I think the new breasts were a mistake and make her look matronly. I don't know hall tall she is, but they seem to have made her shorter!
  20. It's not just that they're ignorant and uneducated, it's that they take PRIDE in it!
  21. What I can't figure out is Lola is identifying as a woman, why she is appearing in a DRAG show.
  22. I don't know why Sonja ( as in Sonja is the new George) is doing the snob routine. That part of her life is so ovah! She needs to accept things as they are - including her age. She is sooo not the young "catch" for anyone. She is disgusting with her constant references to not wearing underwear, etc. If she is indeed in a custody battle with Mr. Morgan, her actions on this show would be the nail in her coffin. She is a sorry specimen and should probably not be burning her bridges. I found Ramona's coments about how HOT the cabin was to be hysterical - I'm pretty sure in addition to the extra weight she is carrying, that she is going through menopause. How many times has she complained about the heat this season? In Carole's blog, she mentions that she keeps the air conditioning in her home set at "a pleasant 76 degrees". Mine is at 78 and my home is perfectly comfortable. I'm pretty sure Ramona has moved on to "a new stage in life". (And I'm not referring to the empty nest syndrome).
