  1. Perhaps there is a deep self loathing in her soul which is manifesting itself in her slovenly actions.
  2. I find Ramona to be an odious person. I hate that she does something vile to one of the others and then wants to hug and cling to them while apologizing. Ramona, not everyone LIKES having a human barnacle attach to them! If she tried that with me, he would be flying across the room in seconds flat. She just HANGS on people. (I refer to her goodbye to Carole at the restaurant after Bethenny left, but there are numerous examples over the seasons...) ... and Avery's sorority sisters are tolerating her. She is not "the cool mom". (The idiot mom, maybe...)
  3. And... who else has thought that part of Buddy's problems may be an allergy to cats? Those kitties have very, very, furry little coast and I 'm sure there is stray cat hair and dander all over the house. I had a Maine Coon cat for years and over that time developed an allergy just based on the amount of cat dander I was breathing in. And I groomed him all the time. I imagine it's undoubtedly 10000 times worse at Casa de Los Losers.
  4. Last week my passive-aggressive supervisor informed staff that we needed to get our annual IDPs to her soon. IDPs are Individual Work Plans in which we set our goals for the upcoming year. I did what I do every year and copied what I submitted last year with tweaks here and there. She decided to rewrite MY IDP and sent it back to me! (with her goals for me for the upcoming year!). I know she is doing this as she knows I have been attending retirement work shops recently. (I have 31 years with the state government). Apparently, she is inviting me to leave! I sent her email and the "changed" IDP to our division head. The Division Head does my supervisor's IDP - so let's see what happens...
  5. Okay, So is it Mattie or Maddie? I've always thought it as Mattie. Am I wrong?
  6. Glad that Shelagh is pregnant! My mother became pregnant with me while my parents were in the process of adopting (twins, no less!) so I know it can happen. To top it off, my mother was 40 which was pretty old in the late 1950's...
  7. I long for the bygone days of full service gas stations. I hate having to fill up the tank myself, standing outside in crappy weather, fiddling with the gas cap, cleaning my own windshield, and hoping that my tire pressure is good. Back in the day, working at a gas station was a great part time job for high school and college students. ( and you never had to leave the comfort of your car!) So now those jobs no longer exist, I have to do everything myself, and I'm paying 3.25 a gallon. It all sucks...
  8. I am somewhat surprised that the stable people didn't give Whitney instructions as to how to seat her horse - heels down was the very first thing I learned. Oops. Second thing. First was how to mount the horse (without scaffolding or ladders...)
  9. Perhaps the academy shouldn't have the elderly giving out awards....
  10. I do think Kelly is equipped to home school her children if that's what they want. She has an education and is smart enough to see that her kids learn a curriculum. She hasn't had her older children teaching the younger children, so it appears they are all receiving a good education, based on her love of education. The family just seems more functional than the Duggars, with their egocentric undereducated parents.
  11. Isn't it interesting that Jim Bob decided that Jinger should be born at home. He wasn't the one gibing birth!
  12. What did Derick do while he was a missionary in Nepal? I have a theory that they haven't gone back to Central America at all, but are in the U.S. receiving medical treatment for various and assorted illnesses (both physical and mental).
  13. Even the sunglasses look the same! What are the chances of that?!
  14. MAybe they need all of that money to pay for the flights of family members who will be visiting them throughout their entire stay. Flying first class ain't cheap.
  15. and give Jessa and Ben the house you have been living in.
  16. Looks like Henry and the family are on the cover of this week's People.
  17. Yeah... four of the six cheerleaders in my high school were named Debbie....
  18. Um... Isn't this the same family with a cousin Junebug?
  19. We have a neighbor named Aquanetta. When I introduced her to my mother, she asked if she was named after the hairspray ((Aquanet) !!!
  20. Juliette makes Caroline S. feel superior. If she hung around me, I too would feel superior in comparison. It's kind of like the pretty girl in high school making sure that none of the other girls are prettier. Compared to Juliette, Caroline has exquisite taste, manners, etc...
  21. I remember reading somewhere that we generally crave what is bad for us. This would definitely apply to most of the fast-food aficionados we have seen on this show.
  22. I would have loved all of the fish! (Of course, my father's side of the family is Danish, so maybe I inherited the taste buds..) I love the idea of celebrating midsummer - sounds like a good idea for a party! Too bad Caroline S. was feeling put upon. It would have been a fun farewell party for her. I do like her best of all of the "ladies" (always have) and hope this season won't be the last we see of her. I also understand how friendships can evolve through the years - people change and grow apart, just like in some marriages. And, there are going to be people who are friends of your friends, who you just don't like. Personally, I would love to be friends with either of the Carolines, Sophie, and Adela. I would be cordial (and nothing more) to Marissa and Julie. I would avoid Juliette like the plague... (too much work!)
