arc December 9, 2014 Share December 9, 2014 Finally renewed! Better late than ever -- six months after USA Networks' Playing House ended its 10-episode first season, the well received but low rated comedy series has been renewed for a second season with an eight-episode order. Link to comment
Lingo September 16, 2015 Share September 16, 2015 https://www.yahoo.com/tv/playing-house-usa-season-2-finale-jessica-st-128665212840.html Thought this was an interesting interview with Lennon and Jessica. According to them, the binge viewers are more important than the live viewers. Link to comment
possibilities September 16, 2015 Share September 16, 2015 I am buying the DVDs of both seasons. I hope that counts for something. If USA doesn't renew them, I hope they can get picked up by Hulu or Netflix. This show is too good to end. Maybe Shonda can give them some help, somehow, since apparently she loves the show. 4 Link to comment
arc January 14, 2016 Share January 14, 2016 Finally renewed again! Playing House has been renewed for a third season, USA Network announced at the Television Critics Association's press tour on Thursday. The comedy, which follows childhood best friends who move in together to help raise a newborn, stars Jessica St. Clair and Lennon Parham, who were on hand at the TCAs to pressure USA chief Chris McCumber to renew the show. "I will tell you something Mr. McCumber, America needs to see Keegan-Michael Key with all his clothes off," St. Clair yelled. 2 Link to comment
AnnaRose January 16, 2016 Share January 16, 2016 That's fantastic news, Arc! Thank you for posting it. I only found this show a few months ago, and it is one of my favorites. I love the characters, and I'm so happy we will be getting another season. Link to comment
arc January 16, 2016 Share January 16, 2016 https://deadline.com/2016/01/playing-house-renewed-season-3-usa-1201682985/ Summary/paraphrase: the show didn't do well in ratings but did very well in video on demand, probably partly because it was available on VOD before traditional airing. They've just been able to convince the showrunners to let the show be used for scheduling agreements. Link to comment
dubbel zout April 21, 2017 Share April 21, 2017 Eight episodes for this show works for me, TBH. As much as I love the actors, I think a short season keeps things really tight. Link to comment
kassygreene April 21, 2017 Share April 21, 2017 I agree, eight episodes should be plenty, but the scheduling makes it clear that absent a Galavant Maneuver, this will be the final season. Link to comment

Bastet October 30, 2017 Share October 30, 2017 (edited) Well, that was a given after the ridiculous time slot they stuck season three in, but it's still disappointing to have it confirmed. At least season three ended in a way that serves as a good series finale. Edited October 30, 2017 by Bastet 4 Link to comment
AllAboutMBTV October 30, 2017 Share October 30, 2017 Aw, man... I loved this show and SO wish it had found a bigger audience. And such a good cast! Le sigh... bilgistic November 7, 2017 Share November 7, 2017 I just saw this and legitimately cried. We're all living in actual hell now, so that's a large part of the reason for my tears, but this made me extra sad. I'll miss this show. 2 Link to comment
bilgistic November 12, 2017 Share November 12, 2017 Lennon Parham just "liked" a Twitter post of mine about Lady Dynamite, in which she has a supporting role. I can float off into the sea in my flaming Viking burial ship now. Go watch Lady Dynamite on Netflix. It is bonkers and wonderful. Maria Bamford is the star. 2 Link to comment
