I can't believe y'all thought that birthday message was not bad. It was an end of grade writing test for a sixth grade kid. The kid was not promoted to 7th grade.

Actually…we’re pretty numb at Amy’s writing skills.

It’s like the first time you hear a really bad word and you’re shocked. As time goes by you’re not shocked any more because you’re so used to it!

Amy’s hairstyle really irks me. I wish she’d get something different.   I know this is a weird question, but do Amy’s bangs start really far back on her head or is it because has a different shaped head because of dwarfism that it either just appears that way or maybe needs to be cut that way because of her head shape? Or is it because the bangs are just too straight and long and need layers?
Little-People-Big-World-Amy-Roloff-8837.

eta: Wanted to make it clear that the shape of her head might affect how her hair hangs and that’s clearly not her fault, but the style itself seems to “drag” her face down.

The bangs are just too far back and too thick. She needs them thinned out, if nothing else. An old friend from elementary school had, and still has, bangs like this. As does her mom and now her daughter. I don't know if it's the natural hairline, or just bad bang choices by mom all those years ago that there was no coming back from, and no learning from. I will say her sister never had bangs like this, she's had regular looking bangs off and on, so maybe it's a natural hairline thing she didn't inherit.

It however, doesn't surprise me Amy hasn't really changed her hair style in years. It honestly looks like pretty much like the lowest maintenance option for her, and she doesn't strike me as the type to take more than just a few minutes getting ready to leave the house most days. Mae West, she isn't! This is fine, but she does herself no favors by always looking greasy. With bangs the thick, they need to be clean and dry, or she's always going to look dirty, food stuck to her teeth and face aside! LOL!

I have an idea Chris has his nose up production's arse!  I bet he's their idea man for fresh material on the show!  Mr. Important!

Between that and Matt's farm he's a busy man!

Or he's going to be in an Oxygen episode of "Buried In The Backyard". He's definitely making himself scarce. Probably can't stand spending much time with the little bulldozer.

The beautiful thing about couples going on motorcycle trips together is that neither of you can hear each other yakking while on the motorcycle. Too much noise from traffic, wind, and head helmets. I'll bet Chris wears his helmet even when he's not on his bike.

This may very well be the case, or she has a bad hairdresser who can’t come up with something else. Or there is a genuine fear to change things. I had a bad hair dresser and mom who wouldn’t hear about cutting my very, very thick hair and getting rid of the bangswhen I was a teen. Then I got a baby sitting job with a family where the mom was a hair dresser…. Within a few weeks she was like:  “shall we sit down and discuss options?” Best decision ever! I got rid of the bangs, of10 inches of hair and it was cut in layers. What a relief and improvement! ! And an absolute shock to my mom!

Is she for real with this using paper towels for an apron thing? I cook a lot and have never used an apron, and I manage to stay clean. Is she just being funny, or does she really need an apron that badly? (I don't watch her cooking videos, so I really don't know.)

When I’m cooking anything with color or that will likely splash, I drape a dish towel on the front of my shirt like that.  Lol. I hate to ruin a nice blouse.

I believe Amy’s dad has made a deal with the devil or found the fountain of youth. He gets younger every time I see him!  It’s crazy!

I usually don't even think about how poorly things are worded on IG and other platforms, especially given my atrocious typing skills which lead me to editing multiple times.  However, this one made me 🤔, then 😳, then 😁.  So her nephew is getting married and her wife is getting married, which I guess makes her wife a bigamist? But since Amy is married to Chris and her wife she's a polygamist?  OK, maybe watching Seeking Sister Wife has changed my way of viewing this statement.

Never change indeed. 😸

Why wouldn't Chris come with her to the wedding? Maybe he's working. Hahahahaha.

Maybe he doesn’t know the groom/bride and doesn’t want to attend. Wedding could have been small.

Are we sure she has a college degree? and she wrote a book?

So, does the wagon fold and fit into your car?

Not after Amy loads it up with clown memorabilia, ugly coffee mugs and wood planks.

Nothing says true love like a wagon to pull around more of Amy's junk from a farmer's market!

Why would she show that sleeve unraveling?  Who would buy that?  It must be quite cool in Oregon this summer for her to wear a sweatshirt.

That's really a great wagon.  My son has one and loves it.  It does fold up to fit in your car.  I suppose Amy will be selling them along with her fudge and earrings.

I have a wagon like this in red. I call it my little red wagon. It is sturdy and holds a ton of stuff. Light weight and folds up flat. I love it. Bought one for my son in law for Christmas.

Nope. That is complete crap. We started off cool, but it has been a consistently hot, dry summer since forever. We just had the highest low temperature recorded in the Portland area a few days ago.  No way that many people would be comfortable in that this summer. Although I guess if she actually washed it with those frayed ends, there wouldn't be any sleeves left, and it would be appropriate. Maybe she just likes Weezer?

Yes. It is the Amy Roloff's Little Kitchen film crew of only one photographer who shares the same name: Amy Roloff.

And there's Mr Amy sitting next to his beautiful wife, traveling to Italy for FREE.

He can't ever seem to make it to Michigan with the gorgeous Mrs. Roloff but he managed to find time for Italy. He is very unselfish!

He’s definitely living the high life since he hitched his wagon to the little bulldozer, he’d never been on a cruise or off the mainland USA… he meets Amy and she whisks him away on a cruise, he’s been to Hawaii and now he’s off to Italy… who needs the lottery when you can marry the jackpot!  💰🤑🚢🇮🇹

What I don't get about Amy is her continued bitterness and resentment of Matt when she has a husband who makes her so happy and her life with Chris is so wonderful. She never misses an opportunity to trash Matt. This bitterness is an ugly trait. She could  let it go and enjoy her life with her love, her partner her friend. Like the saying goes "Living well is the bet revenge."

I doubt Amy is nearly as bitter as the show may try to portray.  I expect when they aren't filming she isn't talking about or to Matt and is merrily living her life.  The show tries to produce interesting story lines and thus they keep putting the family together to stress the tension.  Without the show, Amy would likely not be seeing Matt unless possibly at grandchildren's birthday parties.

Because Matt's actions continue to impact her children? Because despite his protests, Matt's clearly more than a little bit hung up on Amy? I found the whole "I need to use the security cameras to view my ex wife's wedding secretly" bit really a tad odd. I also find Matt's continued protests that he has to "lock and load" and be ready for battle whenever he invites Amy over strange in that... he keeps inviting Amy over despite his obvious tension over it. Why is he still storing pallets of books for her in his garage? Why is he so insistent on keeping Amy close to where he's intentionally befriending her new husband? Why is he keeping her around for pumpkin season when so many apparently find her costumes awful and her being there pointless?

This. To use the current example - I look at the current post on the trip to Italy and I don't see where there was even a hint of bitterness towards Matt in it.

Also this. Amy and Chris have their own social circle and their own interests. Amy always wanted to travel and look - she's gone to Hawaii, motorbiked to Alaska and back, made trips to visit her dad and now is off to Italy. She seems pretty over Matt and dealing with Matt's farm issues.

The twins are 32 years old now so if his actions are impacting their lives they need to grow up and quit depending on Matt to cater to their wishes. As to the other questions I do not see Matt insisting on keeping Amy close or keeping her books on purpose.  I get the impression that Matt goes the extra mile to keep Amy in a place where she is not bitching at him. He tries to keep things pleasant with Chris and Amy because this is how adults handle divorce and remarriage. Not constantly sniping at the ex spouse and complaining about someone that you are no longer married to.  If it weren't for Amy, Matt and Chris would probably be good friends. Maybe it would be best for Matt if he made it clear that Amy and Chris are no longer welcome to come on the farm.  Amy comes across as an unhappy woman unless she in charge and catered to.

Amy wrote a book and she still shades Matt every chance she gets on her little podcast with Lisa.

I rarely watch/watched the show and I still shade Matt every chance I get--judging his behaviors AND adultery, because I believe that's what it was.  Co-conspiritor-sweetheart, Caryn, has at least helped reduce Matt's nastiness toward Amy...a tiny bit.

Does Caryn truly believe the "Amy" part of the equation when commenting that eventually she and Matt will be couple-friends with Amy and Chris?

If Chris needs to be friends with Matt outside the show, he can do it solely...and never insult Amy by describing what great times they have--OR suggesting further couples get-togethers.

It wasn’t a video, so no audio, the post itself had nothing to do with Matt. How would a hint of bitterness appear? There are plenty of examples of her bitterness, on the show and off.

How is telling the public that you're afraid she'll explode so you have to "lock and load" against her not sniping and complaining about the ex spouse. I mean, this is not a compliment, in my opinion.

To be honest, I don't believe Caryn when she insists she wants to be couple friends. Or rather, I think she wants to be couple friends for the show to make filming easier but otherwise has no interest in socializing with Amy and Chris.

38 minutes ago, 65mickey said:

That wouldn't be unusual considering they are divorced and there are hard feelings. What's odd is Matt's desire to be besties. Considering Matt's emphasis on how he's always so concerned she will blow up at him to where he's stressing to the public how he has to prepare for it by "locking and loading" for every interaction... I don't see what pleasure these get togethers bring him. Unless he gets off on it. And I think he does. Opinions vary, obviously.

Sure. But Amy is their mother and even though they're 32 she is still allowed to love them and be concerned about them and how they interact with their father.

My bolding...and I agree.  She also loves being a "reality star," whether being called a home- wrecker or not.   I don't believe the sweet persona we see on the show ... and no matter how kind and calm she is currently, years of LIVING WITH MATT will wear her down.  Hope she inserts herself in Matt's decision about his Will as much as he did about the sale of the farm (part of it).  She'll stroll (hike) away with everything.

I keep reading "bitter, bitter, bitter" with reference to Amy. Bitterness is in the hearts of the beholders.  I see disappointment, heartbreak, disillusionment, sadness, anger ... and all justified.  It takes longer for some humans to recover from low blows...decades of low blows.  Eventually, she'll figure she and her kids are fine...just fine.  Definitely better off.
