....probably saw some dude hanging around with a mop of black hair and an Aerosmith shirt who didn't mind being called Russ in the brush or something. Hard to see when your eyes won't stop crossing.

LOL, Soulaki.

I don't know what Bravo's fascination with this is, but it is gross.  These women have no shame or modesty.  There are some things the rest of the world doesn't need to see.  I sure as hell wouldn't be taking anybody with me to witness that either!

Much less a camera crew.  I've lost count of how many bikini waxes we've been treated to.  Kyle did it, first, right?

Would someone, please, refresh my memory on what caused the feud between Ramona and Heather last season?  All I can remember is Heather following Ramona around a party but can't remember what they were fighting about.

Yep, Kyle was the first if I remember correctly. And she invited her daughter to watch. My daughter and I do everything together.... except that! I can't imagine.

Vicki and Jeana outside the room where Vicki's assistant was getting her first wax was pretty funny don't know if it was before or after Kyle's family moment.  Once it became a spectator sport it lost its charm.

I think it had to do with Ramona and Mario telling Heather she talked too much at Ramona's house in the Hamptons.  Then Heather invited everyone but Ramona to London.

That's fine once in a while but it seems like Kristen doesn't spend that much more time with her kids than Josh does to be honest.

I get the exact opposite impression. I think the reason we hear Kristen talk so much about how little time Josh spends with the kids is because she is with them so often. Yeah nannies, blah, blah, blah. But, the impression I get is that Kristen does spend tons of time with their kids with or with out the nanny.

OK, I am basing this all on the limited interactions I have seen with her and her kids. The most recent interaction was her packing for the trip to Montana. Her daughter is hanging out as happy as can be. Her son is walking around in the boots that Kristen just bought trying to help her pack for her trip (I assume they are the boots she just bought because they were women's boots that were obviously too big for him and looked brand new). He wants to make sure his mom has a gun (even though it is a plastic one), and her daughter is just hanging out. These are not kids who don't hang out with their mom on a regular basis.

The kids were perfectly comfortable with their mom and enjoying being with her. I didn't get a single impression that they were more comfortable with a nanny or any or someone other than her. Considering that there was a camera crew in the room, combined with their ages, I am going to go out on a limb and say that her kids are good with her.

Her "nagging" Josh may or may not be true. But, I see absolutely nothing to suggest that Kristen does not spend time with her kids. Her kids know her and are comfortable with her, even in front of a film crew.

For the sake of argument, children who are neglected or starved for attention can still be affectionate. I'm not a child studies person but for some children it probably takes a while for them to get cold and resentful. Withholding attention or not being around all the time might make them more desperate for your attention when you are around.

I'm only going off of what we see on the show. Personally, I feel like based on Kristen's screentime, she doesn't that much more time with her children than Josh does. Is it possible that she spent more time with them before filming the show? Of course. Is it possible that she spends every moment when she's not filming the show with her kids? Sure.

I don't understand how anyone watching the show can say this. We've seen Kristen at home with the kids a lot, as well as various play dates outside the home (out at Central Park with Heather, at that pottery place with Aviva, etc...). But more than that - we've seen the two of them discuss this very subject - with Kristen wanting Josh to want to spend more time with the kids and lamenting that this time in their lives goes by so fast. Not only does Josh not dispute this, but he defends it. Example 1 - confirming he doesn't come home for dinner. Ex. 2 - only attending a PT session for his daughter b/c Kristen forced him to, and even then taking work calls. Ex. 3 - dropping the kids off at his in-laws while Kristen is away so he can enjoy the "last weekend of the summer." I could go on. When have we ever seen Josh with the kids? Maybe once for 5 seconds. Tops.

I'm sorry, but that has to be one of the suckiest jobs ever!  I couldn't have a job where I have to have a bunch of women's coochies in my face all day every day.  If I had to do that I would rather be a gynecologist so that the money would be worth it.  I guess the premise of watching these housewives get it done is to show how open and free they are with no inhibitions.  Whoopty friggin doo!!!  Another thing I'm tired of seeing is women on these shows peeing on a stick doing pregnancy tests.  Ever since Bethenny did it, I've seen it done at least 3 other times.  Again, who wants to see that?  Next thing you know they'll start being filmed taking a shit!

LotusFlower and MatildaMoody, you both wrote what I was going to get at, re: Kristen and her children. I don't know if there is a hypothetical that could be raised that somehow Cash and Kingsley are neglected by Kristen and thus so starved for attention that they're in a lot of scenes with her in relax mode--Cash "helping" his mom pack by putting his giant toy gun in her bag or Kingsley just chilling on the bed in the same scene (as well as the other scenes you both mentioned),

If anything, what I've got from these 15 episodes is that Kristen spends a lot of time with her children, but also makes time for filming some scenes when they aren't there. I won't hold it against her that she's a mom and travels. I was raised by a single mother, and she would make time for her friends or for travel as well. Most of the time I went with her (whether from LA to Atlanta or LA to Charlotte) and other times she'd call on her brother and his wife to spend the days with me if she were traveling out of state for a wedding or something like that, or if my mother were going to a party, I'd spend the night at her sister's house.

In the case of Kristen and Josh, I can see why she was in disbelief that Josh had plans to drop the kids off only because, from what I've seen on this show, he's just tooooo busy to be with them, and now that there's a chance for him to basically do what Kristen does--spend time with them without the other parent around--he's like, "Nope, there's a Hamptons party. Peace!"

Thanks, zoeysmom and RedheadZombie.  That was it.  I think they rubbed each other the wrong way right from the git because they're both alpha overtalkers. To be fair though, if you watch the scene where Heather and Carole are packing for Montana, the overtalking from both of them was hilarious.

It's like the producers said, "You have 2 mins. 13 secs. for your scene. GO!"  so both of them raced to get in as much chatter as they could.

I'm pretty sure Montana and Connecticut are out of range to the Hamptons.

When Kristen was packing and they're talking and even having a few laughs - even though he looked like he couldn't get out of there fast enough during her exaggerated Aviva diatribe - when he dropped the bomb that he was going out that night, my first thought was, yeah, he's cheating.

I think there was also a scene where they try and mend fences and Heather wants to talk about the recent death of her dad (before they began filming), a blind winemaker and something else and Ramona wasn't terribly interested.  I think Heather was also miffed that Ramona was not interested in the history of Yummie Tummie.  I think the follow around the party story was after LuAnn and Jacques had the wine tasting party and tried to trick Ramona into saying something bad about her own wine.  For some reason it became Heather's business at another party when she overheard Mario telling the story in a French accent.  Ramona wouldn't engage so Heather told Mario something to the effect that Ramona, was crazy, insane or mentally ill.  When Ramona didn't want to talk to her Heather pursued her with annoying grin on her face. Most of all Heather refuses to be ignored-camera time hog.  If she can't make it about her she gets involved in LuAnn's or Carole's drama.

Just like the reason for Luann's demotion is she has no storyline.  If her storyline consists of being beside herself over Sonja's failure to defend her over the facialist gossip the producers don't have a lot to work with.  Oh and the nerve of Aviva to invite Miss USA to her cancer luncheon.  Miss USA has said it was production who invited her/  Production is having a hard time coming up with LuAnn and a storyline.  Her kids seem to MIA again.  I like LuAnn's kids.  I find LuAnn amusing because she is such a hypocrite with the manners thing and it is also interesting to see who LuAnn will be friends with to keep her job.

As others have said, it would be fascinating to see what Lu's actual story line was before they edited her out to make her a part-time HW. There is probably lots of stuff with the kids and Jacques. From what I understand the stuff with Jacques is what got her demoted. One thing that jumped out at me was the deal about Victoria's art. It seemed very random to just all of the sudden have Aviva mention that Victoria's art was going to be showcased, kind of like there had already been prior talk about what Victoria was doing and this would be part of the flow of the story. I think that all parts of Lu's personal life was pretty much edited out. As I said before, if you just started watching this show this season, you would have no idea that Lu was ever married to a Count and went through a very public divorce, and no idea that she even had children save for the one mention at Aviva's gig.  They cut it all out, except for a few random shots with Jacques.

On a completely random note, someone else reminded me that Ramona went to Africa last year.  I am sure she stayed at fabulous, high-end places, but surely most of the time was not spend having "turtle time" and drinking Ramona Pinot.  Sure enough, I found a quote from her about the trip:

“I went to Africa three years ago and fell in love with it and Avery always said she wanted to go to Africa,” Ramona adds. “You are propped in the middle of nowhere with nature. Something about the air in South Africa, it’s the freshest smelling air. There’s nothing like it.”

It sounds like she had no problem when she was planning a trip to be basically without a lot of action. To be in the middle of nowhere with just fresh air as a companion. This is what I hate about Ramona.  She gives women of a certain age a bad name and plays into a lot of stereotypes on the show. That these women are complainers, that they are rigid, that they are only concerned with their own comfort and fuck everyone else and what they want to do.

LOL

I loved the first couple seasons of this franchise.  Suntheen along the way made this stop being must-see TV for me.  Makes me sad because since Tamra wrecked the OC, NYC was all I had left.  Sniff.

MotorcityMom - great points.  Ramona went to Africa, but in her elitist mind the fresh air there is probably more luxurious than Montana, or some nonesense, she's such a silly asshole.  Basically SHE knew nothing about Montana, therefore it had to be a bore of a place.  Well I could say to Ramona, since YOU know nothing or did no research of Montana where you've agreed to vacation, and didn't wanna give it a shot before you even got there, then perhaps YOU are a bore.

Luann's children spend the summer with their dad in France.  So any random shots of the kids would be limited.  LuAnn is interesting-the problem with her kids is they are a bit on the wild side and she won't allow that to be showcased.  Over a two year period the daughter was kicked out of a couple of schools, and then did the art series about pot.  LuAnn and maybe rightfully so, does not want anything negative about the kids.  Oh and the daughter had a racially charged tweet that Ramona "accidentally" retweeted.  LuAnn is one of the main reasons filming was delayed. With delayed filming the Caribbean adventures would be out because it would be off-season. Basically, LuAnn is a phony but I do enjoy watching her.  Her wanting to have a baby BS last year was so manufactured.  I thought it was funny when one of the gossip sites quoted LuAnn's mom as being surprised because LuAnn had had her tubes tied.

I think Ramona's African thing is tied into a charity.  My guess is Ramona is fine without the added stress of filming and I bet she is demanding.  She is probably a bit more careful in Africa as there is an abundance of wildlife and she doesn't want to end up as lion chow. Ramona's a negotiator if Bravo is picking up the tab two things will happen-she will have a long "wish list" and her Pinot will be featured.  I have to agree with Ramona and Sonja, I want to see them doing fun things like going out. I thought St. John's and St. Barths was more in keeping with the Ramona and Sonja and especially LuAnn's (on St. Barths) true personalities. Tuesday someone cancels dinner and they are all cabin bound which means production wants the ladies to fight in a controlled environment for best filming opportunities.

As someone who grew up with a family owning a resort in a remote location and had to work there- although beautiful there was nothing particularly interesting going on.  See the lake, see the Northern Lights, catch some fish, fly in the Beaver, wait on the tourists and take a walk in the woods.  Maybe because glamping has been done on RHONJ x 2 and RHOC the Berkshires and Montana just seem like old news.

I sometimes think I would prefer for my memory to be going than to actually remember some of this crap. Surely my brain should be filled with more important crap?

I think you are correct about the there being no conversations between Ramona and Heather about the Pinot trick by Lu.  Actually, Lu and Jacques had their fun with the Pinot in an episode after Heather followed Ramona around, which will always be my favorite moment of any of these shows.

I believe that Heather and Ramona had words at Aviva's anniversary party because Ramona accused Heather of lying about talking behind her back. Heather said she didn't; Ramona said she did. Ramona went a little bit crazy and really got in Heather's face, per usual.  Heather infuriated Ramona by remaining very calm and asking her if they could just talk it out. She said that what she thought was wrong was that Ramona was hurt about being excluded from London, and that she understood why she would feel that way. Ramona denied this, and screamed at her that she was a liar and a horrible person, and then walked the fuck away. Ramona was done with the conversation and Heather wasn't going to let the last word be a screamed insult at her, so she just followed her around the room telling her they really needed to talk, never taking the smile off her face. The funniest part was when Ramona ended up running up to Lu, who she was not getting along with, and asked her to protect her from Heather. I completely fell in love with Heather on that episode.

I seem to remember Ramona, Mario, Aviva, Reid and maybe Sonja standing around and Mario was mocking Jacques's accent. Heather overheard and said something to the group.  She and Ramona had words and Ramona ran away from her.  Somewhere in there she did tell Mario that Ramona was nuts. It's all a blur.

On another note--how did Reid keep a straight face when saying that Aviva downplays her illnesses?  Seriously.

I just can't with Aviva. I'm not an asthma expert but I've had asthma for years. I've always had to rinse my mouth after applications to prevent thrush. And she sure doesn't inhale properly. Perhaps there's another method. Please correct me if I'm wrong. I'd hate to mis-represent Aviva-Diva.

What a needy woman. She must be exhausting.

I also thought the puffed on it weird lol, My lil brother has serious asthma, I had  allergy induced asthma years ago (grown out of it) and the second she was in the study fiddling with it I thought WTF is she doing lol

But maybe its brand new and shes just awkward. Who knows. Seems a little weird that it would hold her back from going to Montana. Surely the air has to be cleaner than the smog of NY?

Just caught up on this episode  (thank you Demand but no thank you to no FF).  Here are my thoughts

I have asthma but don't tell everyone.  Still think Aviva is full of it!    Really felt for Sonja when she was getting back on the horse again.  It is very scary getting back on after taking a fall.  Good for her for overcoming her fears.

Okay I admit when I went to Montana I was at first just as whiney as Sonja & Ramona of course I was 12.

Their cabins were gorgeous.  How does poor Carol always end up staying with Sonja & Ramona? LOL

Where are the other guests?  Why are they all alone?  Did the other guests not want to film with them?

I disagree.  I think none of these women have a story line.  Sonja has completely lost her mind.  Ramona is just mean and bitter and it's really not pleasant to watch her complain, complain, complain.  Aviva's "asthma" is beyond ridiculous.  Heather, who I used to like, is boring too.  Carole could not be any more ridiculous if she tried.  The whole series is just not interesting anymore.  None of these women have a storyline.  I used to like NY the best of these, but it's just so boring.

I find that this show is no longer "charming." I mean, you can watch a train wreck marriage/family/friendship, but still find the people somewhat charming. Even the Honey Boo Boo show, while entirely gross and inappropriate, still showcases a loving family.  Back in the old days, we might have been wtfing about Jill and whatnot, but she was still sweet with Bobby and it was fun to watch her at fancy lunches and boast about her connections.

Between Josh's awful attitude, Aviva's one-note hypochondria, and Carole dialing it in, this last show was like watching puzzle pieces that even when forced together, did not make a pretty picture.

However, I have never wanted to visit Montana....until now!

Why is Luanne not in the credits but she is in every episode?

Luanne's demotion to "Friend of" status happened after they wrapped filming. So, while what ever story line she may have had separately was cut from the show, she still interacted with the other women a great deal during filming and couldn't be removed from those scenes.

I actually prefer Luann this way.

Oh my gosh, you're right! Maybe Josh is Leah Messer-Sims-Calvert's long lost cousin!

That brings up thoughts of endless crossover possibilities.   Maybe that's the shot in the arm this show needs.

While I thought this past episode was a bit boring, I have been enjoying the season overall. And not just because it is so fun to snark on.

I am really liking the chemistry between the women and the fact that even with the spats, no one is being completely isolated from the group. Aviva seems to really want there to be a team mentality in a way that reminds me way too much of Jill Zarin. So, I think if they got rid of her and brought someone else on next season, it would be that much better.

My sense of it was that Josh was kind of into her gossip before it turned into nagging him? Wasn't he joking with her? Anyway, that's why I was surprised when Kristen stomped all over that accord and then Josh announced that he was dropping the kids off. I was just about to go "see, he is going to spend time with his kids." Part of me still feels like there is no way he's really just leaving them with their grandparents. But I know that Kristen wasn't shocked. I'm sure it's something they've talked about for months or weeks in advance to Labor Day weekend that they were just playing out for the cameras. Maybe it's the kernel of optimism still in me but with Kristen's terrible talking heads, I'm hoping a lot of her storyline with Josh is just her attempt at acting and him playing along. They definitely give off the vibe of the hangers on who are doing what they can to get screentime. You know, an Alex and Simon kind of thing.

I'm certain Aviva is toast. She's boring, unpleasant, can't act, barely participates in the trips (if at all), no one likes her, her father is a POS, her husband is a dipshit.  I think she's gone and I wouldn't be surprised if Kristen is gone too.  She's reminds me of Joyce (RHoBH). Nice, pretty, but kinda boring.  Tries to stir up trouble to remain relevant, but in the end winds up being a real snooze.

While I mostly agree with you, she brings the snark and that counts for something as far as Bravo is concerned.  Look at any RHONY forum since this season started and it seems like the majority of the posts are about Aviva.  Aviva being a lunatic, to be sure, but still about Aviva.  Andy fired Jill because she personally insulted Andy's intelligence.  I don't think he cares when a Ho insults any of ours. LOL. As long as we're still talking about them.  Silex were boring and Alex found her voice a little too late to be saved.  I think Aviva should go because she is so roundly despised.  But if she doesn't, her dad should DEFINITELY go. Because while Aviva may be different levels of vile for different people, I've not seen a single post on ANY site, in support of George.

Besides, I think Andy is just twisted enough to try to create a complete image turnaround for Aviva just because he thinks he can. That's the only reason why I wouldn't care if she came back.  I'd like to see him try.

I also thought the puffed on it weird lol, My lil brother has serious asthma, I had  allergy induced asthma years ago ( grown out of it) and the second she was in the study fiddling with it I thought WTF is she doing lol

But maybe its brand new and shes just awkward. Who knows. Seems a little weird that it would hold her back from going to Montana. Surely the air has to be cleaner than the smog of NY?

Probably definitely.  To be fair, all of the foliage may produce more natural allergens unacclimated to in the city, like pollen, dandelion, hay fever or whatever etc, but yeah, pollution is a major factor too, so.  Her doctor didn't advise her to chain herself to the city when she went off to Becky's farm with nary a cough... and Reid, I believe. (Her other inhaler she sucks off of.)  I forget the location though, but who cares.  Montana, Alabama, Utah, Arkansas... New York.  Allergens all over everywhere.

I'll choose to believe she has asthma, but just what kind though, I wonder.  I admit I have never heard a doctor 'strongly and adamently' (or whatever heavy adjectives she used) advise a patient not to leave the state AT ALL, NO WAY because of her allergies, like Aviva said hers did, but I'm unaware of a lot of the 'rules' and don't know much on this allergy stuff.  He gave her a bunch of allergy scripts, an inhaler, and told her to stay put, eh?  Well oh-kay.   Aviva never twists anyone's words so it's gotta be true.

It is so lovely and gorgeous, and I do agree the producers don't care about this, they want these gals holed up together, most of them outside their comfort zone in one way or another, trying to tolerate eachother and the 24/7 filming without access to distraction.  Likely figured on them getting restless and irritated, probably, but I'm hoping for something better.  You definitely don't need a whole trip orchestrated for petty BS to happen, RHoBH proved you just need a dinner table or two set, & also agreed the whole "omg! women with money going camping??!" Shtick is one I can't stand.

Carole and Heather gossiping about her banging the pirate didn't seem to bother half as much as the facialist talking about her.

Not to mention how she laughed it all off when she first heard the gossip. Yet, now she's all bent out of shape, and is going to harp on it for another episode? Whatever, Lu.

"Beaver Cabin", and the awaiting wheelchair...I laughed.

One would think would Heather's son having all sorts of lung issues she might think before she speaks or at least do a little research.

Maybe it's precisely because of Jax's struggles that Heather has no patience for Aviva's bullshit impediments.

If there's another trip planned, I totally expect to see Aviva wearing a full Hazmat suit when delivering her excuse for not going.

I think that once again Aviva didn't want to fly without Reid.

I think she just doesn't want to/can't be away from him overnight. Funny how she had no problems hitting all the scenes while away at the Hamptons.

Working with hip-hop artists does not, in my opinion, turn her into a gangsta any more than working as a photographer would turn her into a supermodel.

When did Heather ever claim that she's "gangsta"?

Since they're no longer together, I guess Carole isn't Russ's type, neither.

Aviva and Carlton from RHBH need to take a nice long vacation together.  Though they might drop dead from the mutual phony indignation.

I had a vicious battle with postviral asthma about 10 years ago, and I was so sensitive the slightest whiff of perfume (or something like the laundry aisle of the grocery store) would send me running out for fresh air to stop the spams.  Aviva describes her breathing like "breathing through a straw"... and yet we've seen her in Miami, St. Barts, the Hamptons, and NYC itself, each with their own climate, humidity level and local allergens, We've seen her in spas and restaurants and in crowds of women who I am going to guess are drenched in scent...have we ever even heard Aviva clear her throat, let alone cough, let alone struggle to breathe?

In today's litigious world if a physician says a patient should not participate in a certain activity no way is an employer going to force them or even allow them to participate and ignore a doctor's order.  I just don't think Kristen, Ramona, Heather or anyone else has the credentials to refute the doctor's order/opinion.  Heather of all people with a son with a serious lung condition knows each patient and circumstance is different.  I think the ladies would have preferred an excuse saying Aviva can't go because she has a vicious flare up of IBS or is suffering from incontinence.  Then they could have made all sorts of jokes about her.

Because the production has been so obvious this year I am wondering if Aviva was brought back for the limited purpose of causing a commotion over Carole's book and bringing on her disgusting father.  I started to think about the trips the producers planned and Aviva the amputee.

Berkshires- Aviva would be out on the woodsy hike and the canoeing-hard to get into a canoe with one leg.  She would have been okay for the rest of it.

Montana-definitely out for the repelling, river fishing and horseback riding.  I get that there are people with the same disability that may participate in these activities but I believe it takes time to adapt.  I don't think anyone really wants to see an artificial leg floating downstream, or Aviva fall off a horse.

It just furthers my belief that Aviva is brought in as essentially a character to create controversy.  No one really wants her around much so her scenes are pretty much offend and run.  I don't see anyway Aviva will be offered a return to RHONYC.

Since this has been a heavy Heather and Kristen year and the ratings are the worst ever for the franchise and starting to set record lows attention needs to be paid to their value.  I have never likes Heather and I know one of her storylines this year was suppose to be her big lawsuit with Spanx (it was mentioned briefly at Carole's with a weeknight bottle of Patron) but that seems to have been left on the cutting room floor.  Just to show how fake production is-Spanx sued Heather back in March and this season didn't start filming until late May.

Luanne's demotion to "Friend of" status happened after they wrapped filming.

I don't think so. I'm pretty sure it was about money. I think all or most of the HW's held out for more money, they all caved separately and at different times, with LuAnn the only remaining holdout. They started filming while LuAnn was still negotiating, which is why she wasn't in the first 4 or 5 episodes. Since then, she's been in all of them.

LuAnn may be more sensitive to rumors about her and a Frenchman, because she and Jacques were only pretending to still be together. She stated the reason they split was because he wanted children, but...........who knows, maybe it was because she was whipping him and making him wear a dog collar. :-)

In no way do I think the doctor issued such an order. Just because this is how Aviva phrased it doesn't make it so. What I think the doctor probably did was confirm that Aviva does indeed have asthma. Doctors never write "notes" saying Patient so-and-so should not travel to the state of Montana, blah, blah, blah.... They can advise their patients that certain activities are best avoided, but they don't prohibit them.

Aviva has state of the art prosthesis. I bet she is quite agile and capable. My father was blind and a double amputee and most people never knew he wore prosthesis. That doesn't mean that some situations wouldn't be difficult. I don't think her lack of a leg had anything to do with not wanting to go to Montana.

In Kristin's blog she discusses how the doctor note came about. At Aviva's art party, K heard Aviva say she might not be able to go to Montana because she has Asthma. Kristin told Aviva then she better bring a doctors note to get out of going.

I think this is all fourth wall stuff and co-worker to co-worker. The other HW have to go on these trips as part of the job requirements and Aviva keeps pulling the hypochondriac card. I'm sure they would all rather skip the trips regardless of destination.

Right. I'm sure there was some sort of note, just not one that prohibited her from going on the Montana trip. And I also agree that the other HW's were probably both relieved that Aviva wasn't coming, because she's so awful, but also a little bit peeved because she keeps getting out of stuff that they're all obligated to do. And the producers are clearly angry at her doctor's excuses, as they showed by cutting her out of the intros.

Doctors don't prohibit per se they give their advice.  If a patient elects to ignore the advice it then becomes an AMA.  If Aviva were in a normal job and had to be medically cleared to go to Montana the employer would not be able to force her to go and most likely would not allow her to waive and AMA.  Aviva told the doctor where she was scheduled to traveled to and the doctor advised her against it based oh his examination and findings.  Had Kristen not pushed for the note it would have been just Aviva's word about the asthma.

Think of being admitted to the hospital and a doctor not discharging you.  You can always leave but when you do so it is AMA and you sign your life away when you leave the hospital and physician are not liable for your decision.  AMA stands for Against Medical Advice.

Actually, Lotus, my orthopedic surgeon did write a note against traveling to NYC, of all places.  After the date of injury, date he saw me, yada yada, he wrote:  ".....Mrs. Ryebread has experienced increased pain and inability to walk long distances.  An MRI of the right knee has been ordered to rule out a lateral meniscus tear.  For this reason, I feel the patient is unable to travel."  Did he prohibit me?  No, on that point I agree with you - he couldn't.  But had my boss forced me to go and my knee gave out, plunging me onto the subway tracks, although I'm not an attorney I'm certain there would be at least Worker's Comp and then some. Helllooo vacation home. (FWIW, the note wasn't for a boss.  It was requested by my airline to refund my tickets.)  If the hags were so upset Aviva wasn't going because she keeps getting out of work commitments, they should get their own damn notes. LOL.  Or refuse to film with her.  Or something.  Because challenging Aviva's real or imagined illnesses got them absolutely nowhere.  Except looking stupid for poking the crazy.  Again.  Why do they even engage or care?  They hate her.

I don't think money is the reason for the demotion. Aviva held out almost as long. She signed her contract only three days before Lu did, and filming had been underway for about 3 weeks. Yet Aviva was still there from the beginning (they must have been shooting the other gals initially), and she was able to retain her full time status. Lu said in January when it was announced that she would only be a "friend of" after editing was complete, that she wanted to take a step back. I don't believe that for a second. I think they didn't like her pretend deal with Jacques, especially considering the fact that at that time Mario and Ramona were supposedly on their way to a divorce. It probably would have seemed very dated to have two gals in the show being part of a couple that the audience knew no longer existed. I agree that this has worked out nicely for Lu.

Does anyone know if we will see any of the split between Jacques and Lu? They announced their breakup in September and at this point in the show, we are already at Labor Day, with at least 3 or 4 episodes to go. Things must have been rocky in the relationship by now. Would have been interesting to see some of it.

I really don't care if Aviva has Asthma or not.  I'm thrilled any time she isn't on my screen.  I did laugh when her & Reid were trying to convince us all that Aviva is a silent sufferer for the most part (when I know more about her phobias & ailments than most of my own family members).

I also think she ordered her own wheelchair, just in case she was made to go (it is her job).  She needs to draw attention to herself & make it all about her... her own little parade, if you will!

This is Aviva's story , and she's sticking to it. What I'm saying is that I don't believe it. I think the note said only that she has asthma. Period. Nothing about traveling or ranches or clean mountain air. There's no issue of liability here. Aviva didn't want to go on the trip, so she used the doctor's note as an excuse. The issue then became one between Aviva and the producers, not the doctor.
