It is possible that when a few of us were discussing if Kim having renters insurance or not, Kingsley's biting/lawsuit, that some interrupted that to her not having any health insurance either.

It was her driver's license. Kim lied to Kyle and told her she had renewed it (?). I just remember Kyle talking to Kim on the phone while at LAX waiting to hop on the plane to Hawaii. Kim was late (of course) and was blaming it on not being able to find her passport, I believe. Something was mentioned about needing her I.D. and the mention of the driver's license came up. Kyle said something (paraphrasing) "Kim, you told me you took care of that a few months ago."

If Kim had renter's insurance it as her duty to turn over the complaint when  she got served.  This may be an instance where a family member is able to convince the Court Kim was unable to act on her own behalf.

 

Shame on Kim if she didn't maintain health insurance.  She had the money and the eligibility.

I've never watched a full episode of Dr Phil, just enough to see he's a complete quack. But then I've never watched Seinfield or Melrose Place, either.

I should have been more specific. I heard they are required to do household (rehab) chores and things that some of the more entitled patients would not normally do. Thus often the reason for early discharges. Has anyone else heard this too?

Lol, no one really knows me here except for a very few and my comment may not help with getting a 'hey, Ellee is ok' but I'm going to say it anyway.

Kim has a mind, the ability to communicate. She can determine her future. Kingsley not so much. With him being taken by Animal Control his future doesn't look good. With the way Kim treats other people I can't imagine how she has treated her dog despite how she claims he is like a son. He didn't stand a chance to be a good dog. Add to that being a pit bull.

For those in the know, is there any chance that Kingsley can live through this and get a chance to be man's best friend? I feel worse for him than I do for Kim.

No one said she was going to jail (though 10 days in the hole might be good for her). Yet the judge might had sent her to rehab on his or her own and maybe even to a rehab that wouldn't cater to her like a "star" and made sure she completed rehab whatever they might had issued.

You're right, I didn't make myself clear. I don't think Kim would be directed to Rehab assuming this is her first offense and because she was not behind the wheel of a car. She might get a slap oh the wrist for kicking the cop, but I wouldn't bet on even that.  

 

My only point was that I don't think there will be any real legal issues as a result of this. It won't be any more costly than a speeding ticket, IMO. 

 

The bigger point to me is that the whole Dr. Phil interview and here supposedly checking into Rehab is a farce. She doesn't want help. She doesn't accept responsibility for her own actions. She may go through the motions, but it won't help. 

 

I am just sorry the cops allowed her into the bathroom. Although I suspect most, if not all of,  Kim's drugs are prescription, so there still wouldn't have been legal issues, it would possibly have at least put that out there to the public. As it stands, she can still pretend her only issue is alcohol. If anyone actually buys that I have bridge to sell you.

I think it's becoming obvious that Kim's problems began in childhood. The drugs and alcohol were just ways to cope with the dysfunction of her upbringing. Until she digs deep down and accepts that her mother was the root of her problems, she'll never be able to cope with reality and her life. I don't believe that Kim will ever be able to do that because she'll have to disavow her mother who's been so revered by her and her sisters. None of them seem to be able to view their mom as the person who set them on their paths in life. I have to give props to Kyle for overcoming her childhood. Maybe as the youngest, she was shielded from the worst of it. We'll never know, will we? 

 

This family as a whole makes me sad. Every child in this world deserves better but so many don't receive it. I deal on a daily basis with someone who had a similar childhood (although not anything close to the notoriety that these people have) and see the affects of a mother who was so selfish, self absorbed and had multiple hook ups. It has messed up her mind to the point that after many years of therapy and hard work, it's still a struggle to understand that relationships can be happy, healthy and loving. She has problems understanding that there's a give and take, compromising and sometimes giving in for the greater good. I could just strangle her mother for doing this to her.  I will admit, however, that as much as I understand where this behaviour comes from, there are still times when I lose my temper with her. I imagine that's how Kyle feels about Kim. Sometimes it's just too much.

I don't care where they began. I don't care how dysfunctional her family was. I don't know a lot of people that grew up like Wally and the Beav.

I don't know if Kingsley can be retrained at this point but I doubt that Animal Control will even try unless some professional dog trainer decided to intervene. TT, the blogger, is asking her readers to tweet LisaV and get her to put the word out to PB rescue sites in order to get the dog a second chance.

Yes, let me age myself here, but I recall years ago when Elizabeth Taylor went there. She later discussed the fact that she had cleaned toilets, among other chores. Oddly enough, because there is obviously no comparison in star power, but I can see Liz handling that way better than the spoiled, self absorbed bitch that is Kim.

 

Hearing about Kingsley being led away by what totally sounds like animal control makes me hate the bitch even more, which I previously wouldn't have thought possible.

 

I have no doubt all this publicity is ensuring this twit's return to RHOBH. Another reason to hate the bitch. I gave up New Jersey three seasons ago and Atlanta after the second show this year. Don't miss either in the slightest, but there is not one single woman on either franchise that I like. Beverly Hills is quite different. I like LIsa R, Lisa V. and Eileen. I can tolerate  Yolanda and love her house porn.

Except Betty Ford is a real rehab and you are not allowed to have someone else do your chores. That's utter nonsense as is the idea that you are allowed to bring an assistant into the facility to help you. You are not even allowed to contact family right away. That is earned, like anything else.

 

However, it's a safe bet Kim isn't going to Betty Ford for exactly this reason. She isn't looking for a real rehab. She is looking for a PR opportunity.

This is so true!  There are two brothers in my family who were raised together and, now in their 40's, have gone in very different directions.  One is a lovely man, a hard worker, devoted to his children, and is good to his mother.  The other is in prison, has never contributed to the care of his children, treats his mom like crap, and is still blaming everything that has gone wrong in his life on everyone else.  He carries grudges for perceived offenses against him way back to his childhood and has absolutely no self-awareness.  Like Kim, he will never understand that he is responsible for the choices he has made.

 

Right now I think Kim is just going along to get along.  IMO, she has no interest in any kind of rehab, but will go through the motions just to shut everyone up.  When it is over, she'll go back to being the same Kim that she's been most of her life.

"I went on Twitter . . ." and reality hit her?  At the beginning of the season the first poll was who would you like to be friends with and Kim came in second behind Vanderpump.  She gushed over her second place finish took a screen shot and put it up on her Twitter.  For some reason Kim either blocked out her Poker Night behavior or figures fans will stick with her through thick and thin.  

 

Kim backed the wrong horse in being Brandi's junk yard dog.  She had to have known...especially with her sister's warnings that Brandi was using her children's disapproval of her that nothing positive was top be gained by having Brandi as an off-screen friend.  Brandi builds herself up by stepping on the shoulders of others and Kim was about to develop some broad shoulders this season.  Instead after the season was shot, her dog had bit her niece Kim decided the thing to would be to invite Brandi to Kathy Hilton's holiday party and blast photos of she and Brandi all over the internet.   I can see a drunk or sober Kim telling her family be it a sister, brother-in-law or child, "you are NOT the boss of me."

 

All I can say about this family is niece Paris thought it a great idea to go to Las Vegas and DJ a pool party at a place called Rehab.  Such a sensitive family.  Had Kyle or one of Kyle kids have done that it would have been war.  Monty was there-because that is the place for a man pushing 60 to hang out.

This is not the way Kingsley should go out. Utter disgrace.

I'm not sure what I think about Kim appearing on Dr Phil and now going to rehab in Malibu; I'm not sure that I care. What actually interests me and provokes concern is that her kids sound desperate for their mom to step up and get treatment, do the work this time and stop making excuses. It looks like Kim has always put drugs and alcohol ahead of everyone including her children, and I don't think now is any different. Her kids are the ones who should be in therapy and looking for ways to forge ahead with the reality that their mother will probably always be an addict and they can be sad about that but no longer get sucked into the vortex that is Kim Richards and move on with their lives and pursue their own happiness knowing their mother is a sick woman and there's nothing they can do about it.

I don't know you at all, but based on this post I'm going to say "Hey, Ellee, you are A-OK".   Full disclosure - I care more about animals than I do about people, which I suppose makes me a terrible person, except to the animals.  And my Mum.  ;-)

I am much more concerned about Kingsley than I ever was (or ever will be) about Kim fucking Richards.  Where in the HELL are Cesar Milan, Dogtown (Best Friends), Tia Torres, and all the other legit pit bull rescues right here in SoCal?   I want to believe there is a place for him, because the alternative just breaks my heart.  I can forgive a lot, but will never forgive Kim for Kingsley.

OMG Kim has always been given a halo for 4/5 seasons.  The one season, she get called to mat, she can't deal.  Even her own damn sister til this day gets nasty tweets from what happened back in season 1.  Still!  And Kim has been sitting pretty and hasnt told her fans to knock it off.  But yet Kyle goes out her way to say, even in her blog a few weeks, "there are no teams because this is my family."  Sighs.

I find it interesting that once Kim entered rehab, they came to get Kingsley.    Either he was too aggressive for her kids to take care of him, or they had this planned all along.   Either way, if it's true, Kim must be going nuts in rehab. . . but at least her family doesn't have to deal with it now.

It is speculation that it was Animal Control that led the dog / Kingsley out of Kim's home because the dog was being led out on a stick and not a leash. It could've been Animal Control, although in my neck of the woods their vehicles are marked and noticeable. To me it is also plausible that it could've been a trainer or rescue group picking up the dog. Kingsley is a celebrity in his own right and I would not be surprised if a media-friendly trainer / rescue group is willing to take him.
