First thing I saw Misha in was the first season of" 24". He had a decent stint as Alexis Drazen, son of  Serbian war lord, Victor Drazen,  played by Dennis Hopper.  I wanna say he was in like 10(?) episodes.

He totally had S8 Sam hair going on712?cb=20080906101849

I didn't realize that and I watched 24, oh my.

Wow, that is some serious Sam hair.  Was that his own?  So now I'm thinking for S13 they should have Cas grow out his hair as one of the 'cosmic' consequences and Sam could spend all season jealous of him.  ;)

I think it was his own. I couldn't detect that it was a wig. It's level of floofiness varied.

Now I want an episode of SPN with Alexis Drazen, demon Dean and soulless Sam all working together

I'm watching the Mother's Little Helper episode on TNT this morning, when I realized I saw one of the actors on American Housewife a few weeks ago. Jenny O'Hara.

Back in the day, Jenny O'Hara was in everything.  She was a teacher on the Facts of Life, she was Sam's assistant or something on My Sister SAm, she's Doug's Mom on The King of Queens, she was in the TV movie, The Face on the Milk Carton.

She also was an alcoholic blues singer (who was trying to protect/save her younger brother) on Starsky & Hutch, way, *way* back when.  I still remember it/her all these years later and recognized her right away.

Mark Pellegrino - another one with Sam's hair.  The is from "The Big Lebowski.'  True to form his character had just finished dunking Jeff Bridges a//k/a The Dude's head into the toilet looking for money.  It's my favorite movie - and I had no idea he was in, until I finally paid attention to the credits.

Misha looks great with Sam's hair.  In no way does that hair belong on Mark.

While looking for a movie on Amazon, I saw they have previews of new shows for their 'pilot season'.  Noticed a familiar face:  adorable Adam Rose from "Everybody Hates Hitler" is in the show called "Budding Prospects".

I'll have to check it out! He was one of my favourite of the guest stars we've seen over the years!

Awwww I just saw Frank get fired by the president on Designated Survivor. He took it with a very stiff upper lip. The scene was a total tearjerker. I hate seeing old people be sad or humiliated. Poor thing.

Was the President possessed by the devil when he did it?  Or maybe a leviathan?

For anyone watching the FX show "Legion", the female lead (Rachel Keller) was in the episode "Paint It Black".  I blocked out most of that episode, but I remember a main nun and another one; I can't say which one she played.

FYI:  Legion is a very good show - very trippy and surreal and unique.  The downside:  it ends its 8 episode run next week; you can probably find it if you have On Demand channels.

Coincidence:  While typing this out, a Nationwide Insurance commercial came on, and it had Leslie Odom Jr. onscreen singing their song.  Leslie was in "Season 7, Time for a Wedding" as a demon and he went on to act in the Broadway hit "Hamilton".

I just started watching Legion on Hulu yesterday. Only 3 episodes in so far, but I concur, it's a very good show. And very trippy too! ;)

Gah!  Thank you!  Every time I see that commercial, I think, "he seems so familiar but the name ain't ringing a bell."  Lol.  Now I'll never be able to watch it without thinking the insurance industry is a little suspect...

I watched season 1 of 24 when season 1 was first airing, so I don't even remember the character.  I need to pull up an episode on Netflix.

I saw that Felicia Day is in the reboot of MST3K next month on Netflix.  She always manages to land those geek roles.  I loved MST3K back in the 90s, re-watching a few now.

Just watched the first episode of 13 Reasons Why, that kid from Family Matters has a lead role.

Seems like I'm seeing a lot of young actors who did an episode or two of Supernatural back in the day cropping up all over the place lately. Those kids grow up so fast! ;)

Sorry, I don't mean to be supercorrecto person, but I was driving myself crazy trying to think of any kids from Family Matters.  You meant Family Remains.

Usually I dislike when kids show up in programs I watch. Supernatural has had a pretty good track record on hiring and writing for children. The kids, for the most part, have been pretty good actors. It does't surprise me to hear that they are getting more work.

Just finished watching the Big Little Lies with Kathryn Newton.  She plays the angsty teen (naturally). But I'd note four things:

1) She does well in it, especially in the scenes with Reese Witherspoon

2) That's a might impressive cast of women she's hanging with.  I'd say she's made some great contacts.

3) At the premier and other events, the focus is often on the 5 heavyweight leads but she gets her fair share of attention. More than the senior male actors IMO.

4) According to Micheal Aussiello, there won't be a Season 2.  It was always meant as a one and done. But the ratings and buzz are spectacular.

Bottom line: this was a really big break for Kathryn IMO

I think it is a pretty big break, in that it's lot of exposure and she's part of an amazing cast. But unfortunately, I don't think she did a good job. Her acting in the BLL part was identical to how it is on SPN, as far as I could tell. She might as well have been playing Claire, really.

Before seeing Big Little Lies, I was willing to cut her some slack in terms of her acting on SPN, because I didn't know if it was her acting or what that made Claire so irritating and flat. But in Big Little Lies, her character was irritating and flat in just the same way as Claire is -- so now I think that's just the one acting note that she's capable of hitting, and that we're just going to see it again and again whenever she's on screen.

If she's getting this much traction professionally, it probably means she's easy to work with and has good contacts -- and more power to her in terms of her off-screen success. But I honestly just am not impressed with her as an actress. Not trying to be harsh or begrudge KN at all, but I do wish that some of the wonderful young actresses who I've seen in just an episode or in a small part on a show would start catching the kind of breaks KN is right now, because they could actually turn these parts into something. They could actually realize these parts' potential. Maybe KN will also be able to do that one day, but as of right now, IMO she's not.
