I read in a recap that Victor reiterated his orphanage story in today's Cdn to illustrate how he's suffered more than Adam. Are you fucking kidding me, show? This fucking goddamned jackass has caused unspeakable misery to people for decades but he still gets air time for this CRAP???

 

I just can't. I need a complete break (even from reading and posting) for a long while.

I'm right there with you.  I stopped watching forever ago, but still try to read.  It's just getting so bad, I don't seem to be able to even do that anymore - can't afford the vodka bill from this damned show.  God help us all !!!!

So Victor wants Marissa out of Noah's life because she is a manipulator. However his new daughter in law kept from him that his second son was alive, changed said son's  appearance, watched him return to GC under an assumed name and married him for money, stood by while he wreaked havoc in order to destroy his father's business which in turn affects the entire Newman family, and lied to all the Newmans including first son whom she manages to get preggers with, marry and give birth to a Newman heir. And Victor is all tickety boo with Sage. Give me a friggin' break.

Why the hell would Noah even go to Victor for any help regarding Marissa? He forgot Victor tried to pay her to go out of town? Noah should have went to Dylan like the rest of the town does. Grandpa says no, so he pouts and gets drunk. Marissa should stay with the ex.

Billy showing up to convince Chelsea to say bad things about Adam on the stand was ridiculous. Like Victoria told him, she loves Adam she doesn't need to be convinced to say good things about him. 

 

Victor was really calm about Adam today to Vicky and in court. Oddly I do think he doesn't want Adam in jail or setting him up to fail this time.

Adam was pretty great on the witness stand and Chelsea did good for him too. Adam came off so good, that even guilty I hated Billy and his outbursts more as well as Christine's attacks on Chelsea and trying to be a better lawyer than Michael.

Well it looks like Adam will get off, as he should. This has been dragged on for two years so at this point I really don't want even Billy to pay for what he did to Adam. The story has been done to death (no pun intended) and needs to be put to rest. I don't know if everyone will forgive Adam as Billy has requested but they need to - for the viewers' sake - lol. None of them are saints and very few of the GC residents pay for their crimes.

That was the quickest trial in history for something that has been waiting for 2 years. The verdict was reached in 3 minutes. Adam didn't even leave his seat yet. I hope he's free, let Billy and other people like Phyllis pay for their crimes. 

 

Christine had nothing to base her case on other than Billy's testimony? Christine comes across angry and taking the trial more personal than anyone. Her closing argument was stomping up angrily and saying Adam had to pay? LOL Then Paul told her she handled it well and she had a perfect closing. No Paul, no. 

 

They're all running around outside the courtroom looking for Billy and he was inside the courtroom still?

I actually laughed at Christine's closing. But then I always find Cricket OTT when she is being all 'lawyerly'. She could be defending a client against a jaywalking ticket and she would come across the same way. Just one of the many ways LLB demonstrates what a one note actor she is.

So Billy walks on Gabe's death. I guess only Sage would care, but she's too worried about loosing Dickoless.

They can prosecute crimes in Hawaii, the Carribean and Peru, but not GC.

Ok. since I don't watch I'm really confused as to how Billy requested everyone play nice with Adam.  Is this just a ploy to get Victoria back?  Has no one (crack DA Cricket or Paulie or even Dullen) considered how a man with a completely different face than Adam, but who is Adam, wound up in court?  Pretty speedy trial for all the details that should have been considered.  Has Billy's part in the transformation of Adam even been brought up as in charges of attempted murder? (other than between Jack, Billy and Gabadam?)  I'm not even going to ask why Billy wasn't charged with negligence and prevented from ever being allowed to care for a child alone - ever.  Stupid show.

p.s. no defense attorney would allow their client to go on the witness stand and confess before the verdict. Maybe they plan to appeal on "insanity".

Here I was giving the writers too much credit for ending this farce of a storyline. My bad. I still don't get though even in G.C. where nothing makes sense how Adam is guilty of the crime of hitting Delia? She ran out in front of him, he didn't see her, he stopped the car and saw the dog run away. How in the world is that a convictable crime? So if Connor had fallen into the duck pond and drowned Billy would have been convicted of killing him because he was negligent in the accident?  Adam is guilty of covering up the accident and tampering with evidence but that is all - at least in the real world. IMO of course.

 

So what is the point of running over Adam? It isn't like the sentence will be reversed because he is injured. Will he be in a coma like Hillary so that JH can do something else for a bit? There must be something coming out about another person actually being responsible for hitting Delia because there is no way a Newman is going to jail for 10 years.

I can't say I have ever seen a courthouse where the perp is walked out the front door to a waiting crowd of rabid spectators. Don't they usually use a back door for that reason? But yes, while I think they are trying to make it look like maybe Kevin is the driver it is likely Krazy Chloe. I am just sad that she did not instead finish off the job that both Phyllis and Nikki almost accomplished.

I don't get the point of sentencing him for 10 years then having the car hit him (which has to be Chloe, so it's not even a surprise) why couldn't they just have him get off free then have the car hit him for someone seeking revenge? 

 

That would have made more sense, than him walking across an intersection alone to get to the prison transport. lol 

 

Victor could have bribed the judge earlier to get him off too. Obviously Adam's not going to jail for 10 years. I do love Adam and Jack as well as him & Chelsea. 

 

Phyllis and Kevin can shut up and go join Adam in jail. When those 2 pay for their premeditated murders they both planned then they can scream for justice and say Adam needs to pay for unintentionally hitting Delia. Phyllis and Kevin were worse people and never really paid for a thing.

Instead of writing an actual redemption story for Adam they keep trying cheap tricks -- saving animals, humans, birthing babies, taking his lumps on the stand, being burned to a crisp, being smacked around by half the town in a cabin court -- and now...a 10-year sentence and being hit by a car. RME.

 

And the way that hit and run was filmed??? So many of these "big" scenes are so amateurish. Pratt wants every penny spent on sweeps disasters so everything in between (and there is a lot of shooting, car accidents, falling over cliffs etc. in between) apparently gets zero money or imagination. 

 

And of course no one in the sea of spectators who looked on in horror, not the police, guards etc. will be able to provide a licence plate number or anything to identify the car that hit him. lol.

I really did laugh out loud when I saw that picture. Everyone is just milling around and seemingly unconcerned that Adam is lying unconscious (maybe dying) right next to them. It's like "Who cares?". Even the EMTs aren't paying any attention to him. Hilarious.
