Rachel is one of the only ones I feel 100% confident will make it unless yeah, she hurts herself. I mean, she won the talent portion of one of her pageant competitions for her dancing so I definitely think she can back up her looks and poise with technique/skill/performance.  Total package.  I adore what I've seen of her, she is in my personal top picks that I want to make the squad lol

This is a competitive year. Most of the rookies have either cheered for a professional team or a college squad. I will be really pissed if Victoria doesn't bring it and ends up making it over someone who is clearly better than her.

The only way this could go against her, though, would be if because of whatever style she did to win the talent portion could be so ingrained in her that she won't be great at DCC style.  I guess we'll have to wait & see!

Now that is a good point! I'm not sure about her pom/cheer experience.  i hope she is a fast learner! :)

She is a TCC.  And if she is willing to be featured, then she will be.  But I have the feeling that regardless of how much or how little her and Dayton are shown, there will still be comments about it.  They can't win either way.

I really wish they would focus on the vets more and not just because they are in trouble.  I would love to know how Khalyn or even Yuko feels now in year 3.  What do they like most?  Is it harder than they thought it would be?  I mean we root for them as rookies and follow them all these years.  We would love to know and see their progression as a DCC.  Tell us more!  Have they gotten more used to the late practices?  How do they balance work, school and being a DCC?  Let us see them lead some practices.  They did some of that last year, but we were so consumed with all the drama that I think they did it to balance the negative attention.  Hence we got the KaSexy show (and I like Kashara).  Let us see the calendar shoot.  How did the rookies like their first year?  What surprised them?  What was their favorite thing?  

Show us more dancing.  And by that I mean longer dancing more than 3 seconds of a song.  Show us a good portion of a routine so that we can see it!  Show us some game day footage (even last game of last year).  We follow these TCs and hope for them to make the team.  We’re happy to see them make the team, now I just want to see more footage and know more about them actually being on the team.

On the one hand, I'll be surprised if a cut doesn't happen this week, but on the other, they may have given the girls a bit of extra time to get things figured out.  I wouldn't be surprised if a girl has already been cut, but is keeping it quiet until she processes what happened.  That's what I would do.  Even if a girl HASN'T been cut, there's still tonight and whoever is unlucky enough to be the first cut will have the weekend to figure out what happened and deal with the emotions before she puts it out there. 

No matter how hard they're trying to keep it quiet, we'll hear about cuts at some point and be able to figure out who's missing.

SO agree with this. Also I want to know more about the rookies WHO MAKE THE TEAM. I feel like I know more about Ashley from Kansas Cit Chiefs who tried out and didn't make it than I know about Jessika or Alexis. I feel the only thing we learn about the girls who make the team (if anything) is "tell us a about some tragedy you've had to overcome" and then the poor girls have to bring up the time their friend/relative died or had a car accident and it just feels so out of context and exploitative! Also it can often be a heads up of when someone is going to get cut -you get the segment of them at home and then they're cut in the same episode. I basically feel like at the end there are three girls who make the team that you're rooting for and two who you feel should probably have been cut because CMT have shown all their bad moments for weeks on end. 

Also I feel like CMT are worried that people won't believe the criticisms if they don't show them nineteen times... like I believe it when Judy and Kelli say "xyz is sloppy" I don't need to see seven examples of when she's sloppy per episode!

I'm thinking maybe since it was 11:57 they were at the gym that is the time they left TC.  The girls in pix at ihop it was at 1:27 am so I am thinking those are the girls that stayed to hug the girls that Kelli called in to talk to.

You are so right.  I heard they were in a sorority together.  Charlotte got her on DCC  but I think  K & C had a long deliberation about getting her off the team and this was one time that i believe Kelli won.

Kelli and Judy did win when Charlotte wanted to cut one year vet Ann Lux in Season 6. I guess Ann was not a bubbly kiss their behinds DCC is my life 24/7 type of girl which probably pissed off Charlotte. And of course, the rumors Miss Kitty got Morgan on the squad in Season 8.

Last year’s show group picture cracked me up. Three so called “problem” girls — if that is really the case, at some point you have to question the judgment and management style of the people making the decision to put them there.

I was wondering if there was going to be a cut this past week and now we know there was.  It's likely a rookie, but who knows anymore.  Regardless of who goes, I suspect that Kelli and Judy will be absolutely ruthless about things this year, what with all the vet drama last year and now the lawsuit already this year.

If she is moving to the front out of habit, and it's consistent and it gets noticed and not in a good way, I would hope that her big sister would pull her aside and say something.  Don't burn bridges with your possible rookie sisters, all eyes are on you, etc

Somebody has to be up front, and if the other girls let Victoria have that spot everytime, then it’s on them, not necessarily her.

I think that was the issue with Olivia in Season 7.  She was so used to be a solo dancer that she had to adjust to following her group leader.  I'm sure there have been other girls who didn't instinctively check their lines cause they weren't used to it.

I agree with @EricaShadows, but I was also thinking in regards to a seminar or workshop like what's in the picture.  There is no set place, and if she is going to the front out of habit, it may upset someone.  And being this is training camp, another girl pushed back may not want to make waves.

I so agree with y'all I love Brennan but I also hated her stiff and awkward style - she's an amazing studio dancer but I found her so cringey on the field. I hope she's better this year because her problems last season were almost exactly the same as the year before and I'm just not sure how fixable it is for her.

Random here, but I was just checking on Mary Kate Domino's Instagram and it's still gone.  For those of you who don't remember what happened, she was a former DSIG who auditioned, didn't make it to Finals, posted a clip of her finals routine, then not only took it down a short time later, but deleted her whole Instagram account.  Supposedly, comments made on this board were one of the reasons she took it down.  I can't seem to find her on any other social media as a dancer, either.  I wish she'd return to social media and post, but I can understand why she hasn't/isn't yet.  I wonder what's going on with her.

I'm glad she had the courage to come back to social media even if she didn't resurrect her previous user name.  I thought she had a beautiful look, one that was similar to Courtni from a few years back and one that hasn't been seen since.

We’re talking about two different scenarios. Obviosuly, if she’s placed in a specific spot in a formation, she can’t break that and just decide to do her own thing wherever she wants. I m talking about if they’re in a class or some sort of combo, like in a lot of technique and prep classes, where you sort of place yourself. If one person goes up front and no one else beats them to it or says hey, you’re always up front, let’s switch for a minute, then you can’t blame the person willing to put themself forward where they want to be. 

Also - if we see VK up front in prep videos she posts, well DUH! Of course your going to post your turn up front on your own page. Why would she have anybody record other dancers to put on her page?
