I don't think that Katie's ever looked more stunning than in her last scene of this ep in the t-shirt and jeans. She really is just naturally beautiful and I'm glad everyone is telling her as much. And you can totally tell she's been working out! I'm glad she's being healthy, not starving herself or doing coke to get Hollywood skinny.

I think the producers are playing us.

I think they want us to like Katie and are milking what Kevin Lee said for all it’s worth, trying to play on our sympathies. They showed her sharing that story to three different groups of people. And then for the icing on the cake, they added in that story about Katie falling. That happened A LONG time ago. Why trot it out now? Because they want us to have sympathy for her and to like her.

What Kevin said was wrong, and what she went through falling was horrible, but I’m not buying into the producer BS just because they are trying SO HARD to sell it to us.

He said what he said. And it was vile. They could have shown her talking about it to LVP and that's it, and I still would have ranted about it. I think it's only natural that Katie would tell her friends what happened.

LVP was the first one to bring up her accident and it felt very natural, to me. She was reminding Katie of all she'd been through and how confident she could be.

I think the responses were natural and her telling different people is natural, but them showing that to us over and over again and then adding about the fall is producers trying to manipulate our feelings.

But hey, if the average response is “Omg I Love Katie now!!! Kevin’s a jackass and she’s amazing!!!!” then it worked ?

Personally, I think this was the grand finale to the Katie Apology Tour.

You might be right; by and large, in VPR social media land, Katie’s grotesque heinousness seems to be forgiven just because someone dared call her fat, despite the awful, awful things she herself has said and done. Not me though! I will loathe that second-rate Gretchen Weiners until the day I die!

But why? Why do they care if we like her? I don’t think they’re hurting for viewers and just don’t see why they would care if she’s likable or not. Basically, none of them are likable to me, they’re so far from the people I know and suck so much that it makes the show fun to watch. Does anyone really watch because they LIKE these people and relate to them? I’m shook. Also, Kevin’s business and such are getting major backlash. Not sure why he’d put himself in that position at the producers’ behest. As far as I know, he’s actually successful at what he does and really doesn’t have much of a reason to ruin it. It’s not like he’s just some nobody (even though he IS to me, personally) with nothing to lose. I think he’s just an asshole with loose lips and it’s a storyline because who says that to someone serving at a party?

What I can't believe is Jax is almost 40 and still acting like he is 20 years old.

You’re much too generous - change that to 15 and you are spot on!

I’m not saying it’s scripted or even staged.

The producers' job is to make us want to watch. They accomplish this by evoking feelings in us. The more we emote about a character, the more invested we feel. The producers don't care what our emotions are, so long as we are emoting. They will take whatever raw data they have and sculpt it into a story we care about. At least, this is their goal.

They don't care if we watch because we hate Jax and think he's a vile, disgusting manipulative jerk. Or if we watch because we love to see mean girl Stassi get her comeuppance as a stand-in for every white, over-privileged, entitled, narcissist blind to any issues that don't pertain directly to her. The producers don't care WHAT the audience feels as long as they’re feeling.

I think the concentrated on this story line for Katie because what woman won't relate to being judged solely for her appearance. The pain of this is so relatable it makes us FEEL SO BAD for her, for ourselves and HATE Kevin Lee. Then, right as we couldn't feel any worse for her, the add in, all of a sudden, her accident regarding the skylight. Now we're feeling so many emotions, they feel we'll be hooked.

They are causing us to emote, which to them is the way to get us to watch their show. If we don't emote, we don't care. If we don't care, we get bored and will eventually watch something else. That's why it's literally the producer's job to craft and overdramatize every single story possible. Katie's story actually sucked and was painful, and since this was something real for once, they took the ball and ran with it. But for me, them pounding it into the ground overshadowed the impact of what actually happened bc the manipulation was so obvious.

Jax continually and with more indignation insisting that he was only 30 minutes late was kind of scary. The event started at 7, he arrived at 7:30 but Lisa clearly states he was sopposed to be there at 6:30 to set up which makes since because he was bringing the bar kit. So he was over an hour late and trying to act like he was being unfairly maligned.

Obviously producers are trying to make the most of Kevin Lee’s insults to Katie~ especially in light of all the sexual harassment stories in the media right now.

On WWHL Katie and Schwartz said Kevin Lee sent a beautiful bouquet of flowers with a heartfelt apology. Schwartz said Kevin Lee is a lovely person.....

Even if he was only 30 minutes late that is still way too late. 5 mins ok whatever maybe even 10 but 30 is a joke. It’s not like he has some busy life he’s just a douche.

Exactly. It's work. Did he really think he could show up AS the event was starting? Just let everyone else do the prep work?

Wait, he's Jax. Of course he did.

Oh i know but we hear Lisa say he was supposed to be there at 6:30, so what made it scary to me is that he was so convincing and indignant in his lie. Its like when he insisted he didn't sleep with Faith but over something so much smaller, I can't imagine what it's like to be friends or in a relationship with a pathological liar with anger issues.

The things you find out when stalking surfing the web.

Peter. Is co-owner of a hair salon and product called MyHairo.  He does have nice hair...

And there's a blow out bar.  Not sure what that means exactly. Do you get a cocktail while they blow dry your hair?

I wonder if Sandavol is jelly.  Or gets free product.

Good for Peter.

Weird that its in Boston, is he from there? Blow out bar is just the name that took off for places that just do blowouts.

I don't know.  It's all very vague!  He grew up with brothers, went to college, landed up on reality tv and is a co-owner per the website.

There's an email address to contact him.

If I still drank tequila, there would be an excellent chance of my contacting him and asking on behalf of PTV Vanderpump peeps just how all of this came about, sometime around 3 am tonight.

Possibly a ragey email, more likely incoherent. Definitely a moment where I would snark on his man bun with tendrils.  Yeah.  Tendrils.  And there's this awesomely cheesy moment where the bun and tendrils are moving as if the wind were gently caressing it.

However, sober me is less "adventurous" than tequila me.

I’m fascinated by the notion that it’s NOT weird for a 30-something year old man to buy entire outfits for the 30-something year old brothers of his friend when they come to visit. We come from very different worlds. ? They don’t have to explain anything but it’s odd they are treated like children. No one treats them like equals. I really want to know though, did I mishear or did Sandoval say he got them underwear even? No, they’re not main cast but they kind of keep trying to “make them happen” - enough that some are wondering about a potential spinoff.

If anyone knows, how likely would it be that all three making up triplets would be on the spectrum or otherwise delayed?

I think it just depends.  My little brothers are in their twenties and don't act stunted but in my head they are still in diapers.  When we were on vacation last summer one of them needed extra socks and a couple shirts and I went to the store to get them and got him some Star Wars underwear too because obviously little boys like under roos.  I also still call them both the same nicknames I was calling them as toddlers.

To be fair, I think how he treated the party is the exact same way he approaches his shifts at SUR.  It's been said more than once that he's the laziest bartender there.

I think Jax has enough Bravo money to not have to work but not enough to travel or do anything exotic or crazy. I think he’s bored now. He’s not driven to work because he doesn’t have to in order to survive but doesn’t know what to do with himself. He’s lost. He’s doing a lot of Coke. This makes his aggression and anger worse, even when not under the influence because Coke messes with the chemicals in your brain. He should lay off all substances for a while and let his brain achieve homoestasis again.
