And a lot more people are probably watching during that time because football is on, so the ratings go up. The final ratings take out the people who weren't actually watching the show, but were watching football, and so they go down. 2 Link to comment

Who wants a well developed female character with her own storylines when we can have Iris' sole purpose be to give the Flash pep talks whenever he needs one.
