For awhile stores did stop saying Merry Christmas.,because it wasn't inclusive. I on the other hand, like Meghan, never stopped saying it..) Yesterday every store I went to said Merry Christmas

I don't get why Omarosa gets so much airtime. She doesn't interest me, neither will her book if she writes one.

Christian Siriano is so talented! He honestly looks like he's 14, but his love of beautiful clothes, well he's just amazing! What a great book to have on your coffee table.

Question, is Fridays view already taped?

For all of Joe Biden's faults/mistakes, he's still one of the humblest, most decent & classiest people in American politics & the world, as he showed with MM. MM works my last nerve 99% of the time, but as someone who has been a caregiver, I know what she's going through.

If anyone knows how MM feels it's Biden & his compassion for her & her father made her seem human to me for the first time. The "Suck it, Bannon" tweet was funny, too.

Joys response to Omarosa's getting fired was much classier than she deserves.

I love Joe Biden, and it bums me out that I've never had the honor of meeting him. I'm tempted to take one of the classes he teaches in Delaware just so I can meet the MAN!

And credit, where credit is due: I still don't like her, but Meghan was the most human I've ever seen yesterday.

Yesterday's show was one of the best I've seen in awhile. Damn it, uncle Joe had me cutting onions - the tears were flowing! I agree with all the sentiments expressed in this thread. He is such an intelligent, warm, insightful and wise man. I don't see how anybody could dislike him, regardless of politics. I understand why he didn't run completely but wow, it's hard to not think about what could have been...

When Sunny and Joe switched seats, I almost lost it.

I LOVED Joy's comment about getting "joy" because Omarosa is no longer in the white house. She didn't have to degrade or trash talk Omarosa, her witty comment was enough.

I watched that, too. I wish "The View" would release more little behind the scenes clips like that but I think they released this one in particular to further highlight what a genuinely caring man uncle Joe. That Obama/Biden bromance is everything and I giggled when he talked about all the internet memes being true.

Ditto.

Omarosa's departure is more laughable as further details come out.  It has apparently been in the works since her Starzilla moment when she brought her bridesmaids into the WH without advance permission for a bridal photo shoot, which rankled Flynn badly.  According to April Ryan, WH Press Correspondent, the following exchange was heard as she was being removed:

Omarosa:  "Does the President know about this?"

Flynn:  "Yeah, he signed off on it."

At that point, she attempted to get into the WH living quarters, and was soundly turned around.  It was apparent before, but quite confirmed now, that the gal has a highly inflated "View" of herself.

Flynn? Do you mean Kelly?

I am just watching now.  MM has a beautiful face but her make up and hair are terrible.  The French braid today is showing how thin her hair is.  She should lose the extensions and cut her hair in a shoulder length style that works with her fine hair.  Loose the red lips, fake eyelashes and go for a clean fresh face look.

She also has beautiful porcelain skin. I am amazed that she has such good skin, after, having lived in Arizona..

Probably the first day I’ve seen that Meghan didn’t have a stick up her ass.

I loved Sunny and Whoopi's reactions to Omarosa, particularly Sunny saying she and many others always thought Trump intended it as a slap in the face that that was supposed to be the face of the black community in the administration. I loved how she read the events like some scandalous Real Housewives manufactured drama, because it just emphasizes what a sad joke this all it is.

Yes, thanks for reminding me. Sunny was asking why white women would vote for Moore, and Whoopi seemed to be answering why they would vote for Jones. But her answer was so rambling and convoluted, by the time she was done there was no opportunity to correct her.

Whoopi also has such a hard time with names, it's often hard to follow her. She often refers to people as "the guy" and "the other guy."

She clearly wasn't listening. No surprise there. As for her not using 45's name, I don't either. Well, I do, but it's not proper here; I think Whoopi calls him those names because she refuses to accept him as the president. To her, he is "that guy," "Reality Star," etc., and comes up with different names to "change it up," because people got offended when she referred to him as the idiot or something like that.

13 hours ago, Gemma Violet said:

This irks me no end.  I dislike Trump intensely, but I wish she'd indicate she's talking about Trump in some other way than saying "the reality show star" or "the guy in the White House."  For heaven's sake, just say "the President" if you don't want to say his name.  I just think there are a lot of casual viewers out there who, if they're not paying close attention, will miss who she's talking about.

She refuses to because I think she doesn't consider him the president. It's her way of "protesting" him, I guess. She's admitted she refuses to call him the president.

I'm thinking I don't/can't trust Meghan - she was so adamant Moore would win over the past week and then today just blew that off. She is hardly a political pundit/analyst to me. All I want from her is a view - like the rest of the panel - not a lecture from someone trying to teach because it is the only and right way to think in her opinion.

I love how sensitive Sunny is to immediately pick up on how Biden wanted to switch seats to console Meghan.

Yep. I thought she would say something, but just as with the victories in VA, she just glossed right over it. She doesn't like to be wrong.

MM blaming Bannon for Moore's run on several occasions on the View is her deflection from the GOP supporting him, IMHO.

The awesomeness of Joe Biden in all ways, and with his graciousness towards MM doesn't give her a pass for being WRONG, WRONG, WRONG predicting  Moore to won, because of the arrogance of her self-inflated experience in politics.

I so wish Joy or Sunny or Whoops would say once  that they need to "explain"  the Dems view to MM.

We get it. The hosts (are too polite or have been warned not to confront the entitled snowflake),   and "viewers"  watch/read the news,  have "friends" in many places, and understand the Repub/conservative mindset, MM. Your poor attempts to explain anything shows a serious lack of communication/ spin skills, not enlightening in any way.

MM needs to be with her dad now, and learn as much as she can about diplomacy and grace.

And because she kept saying it--"My money's on Moore to win" repeatedly. And when it didn't turn out that way, pfft, moving along.

McCain may have grace, but diplomacy? Nope. He speaks his mind, hence the title of "Maverick."

Biden isn't the only one who said the memes to those pictures of him and President Obama are accurate. The photographer, Souza was on The Daily Show the other night, and he pretty much said the same thing. Hee! I'm getting both Biden and Souza's books.

i have  never ever paid attention to to a random person/ clerk saying Merry Christmas or not. I could care less what a stranger says to me.  I'm more offended because I say  thank you every time and they will say no problem. Yeah, No problem.

Megan was very different today laughed and joked and smiled.  More of that please.  Oh is tommorow their last day? That explains a good mood. She will be able to go be by her fathers side.  That would make a person happy and relieved.

Hopefully Biden opened MM's eyes to see that democrats can be loving and actually like some republicans.   We are not any more divided than we have ever been when it comes to the 2 parties.  Jesus.  The vitriol is heightened though.

John was hospitalized for normal side effects from his treatment.  Beau Biden lived for 2 years after diagnosis.  He was only 46 but John may have some time left.

I was happy to see Whoopi and Sunny pile on today. Because Omarosa deserves it. She was absolutely vile to everyone when she was on the show. She said the sorts of things normal people learn to never say out loud because it looks so bad when they come back to bite you in the ass. Go, Whoopi, Sunny, and Joy!

Today is the last live day of taping. Meghan let it slip yesterday. Probably the last live show until early January. They were all just giddy.

The Netflix thing was bungled, as usual. The issue is that Netflix was tweeting about people watching the same movie dozens of times, sort of video shaming customers.  They didn't mention names and yes, there is an algorithm that tracks usage, but it's nobody's damn business how many times someone watches a movie and certainly not something they should be making public.  So what?  Who cares?

Biden gave a speech to veterans' families one Memorial Day about how he understood why people commit suicide. I can't watch it without crying. And speaking of crying, I totally don't blame MM and I think that she composed herself quite well. They had her bring up the topic right after coming back from commercial, so she probably had a good 3-4 minutes to think about her father and Beau Biden, and BOOM, WE'RE BACK LIVE! I would have been a puddle! I am also the kind of person that starts crying if I see another adult cry. It's not cute.

Netflix isn't shaming customers. They just made a joke about the fact that several people (53) were watching a sappy Christmas movie over and over, for 18 days.

And, I bet it was a campaign by certain people, maybe associated with the movie, who were trying to get more views recorded, so the movie stats would say it was more popular, and would be recommended more.

People do that to YouTube videos, where the number of views is important to advertisers. So you play a video or playlist on repeat, to increase the revenue.

I think Netflix was just calling out , in a humourous way, a group trying to work the system.

If you work for Trump, sure. But not if you work for the USA. federal employees are not the same as corporate employees.  They can't disclose confidential information, but they can talk, or write, about their time in government.

Trump once said he was going to make his staff sign non-disclosure agreements. But he can't.

And as juicy a story it was about her departure from the WH,  if Kelly was the one that relayed it to a reporter,  I don't believe it. We all saw how he lied about Rep.  Wilson.

CNN's been reporting that they're getting reports from senate insiders that McCain is becoming rather frail and that, while he had been attending meetings before his hospitalization, he has not been speaking up or participating as he used to.  Those who are in a position to see him are beginning to express concern.  These will be bitter/sweet holidays for the McCain family.

I noticed on the Biden video that Sara was out in the audience talking to people and then Whoopi was too!  It surprised me. I hadn't expected Whoopi to be hobnobbing with the masses.

Yup. Super embarrassing. The people she addressed are actually the very people that can be referred to as The Honorable [insert title]. Also, the “Honorable” person doesn’t usually refer to themselves as such. Someone else addresses them in that way.

What? She referred to herself as the Honorable Omarosa _____ in some way?  How did she word that?

Sorry, the "bye, Felicia" reference went right over my head!!  Can someone "walk me through what it means"?

Bye, Felicia! is a favorite etymology of mine, so I am happy to oblige.

It originates from the film "Friday" (1995?), in which Ice Cube's character dismissively says goodbye to a female acquaintance. "Clueless" came out at the same time -- remember how "As If?" and "Whatever?" complete with the hand gesture was a thing? Bye, Felicia was that for AAVE and used by African-American drag queens. Then white drag queens watched those drag queens. Then those white drag queens appeared on RuPaul's Drag Race and repeated the phrase, where it entered mainstream gay vernacular. Then Real Housewives black (ATL) and white (Heather "Holla" Thomsen, RHONY) said it on mainstream TV 15 years later. Now it's common phrase for a term to dismiss someone or tell someone to not let the door hit their ass on the way out.

I watched on and off this week, and fast-forwarded a lot. Did they ever cover the Mario Batali situation? He was suspended and then fired from The Chew for allegations of sexual misconduct unrelated to the ABC show. I kept waiting for it to come up in the "Hot Topics" segments I did catch, but never saw it.

Today was pretty much a waste of time, but it was still worth it to hear Darlene Love.

So, to avoid political arguments at Christmas, I'm supposed to bring up the Kardashians or the real housewives?

Sorry, not all families are going to talk about them. I don't think that one person in my family or my husband's family watches those shows.

What a stupid suggestion.

I see they finally found a way to get the audience to clap and cheer for Meghan. Put her in charge of giving stuff away to them.

They really did give away a LOT today. Gift cards, necklaces, the most I've ever seen.
