I attend a weekly bible study, and even I roll my eyes at some of the things people in our group ask us to pray for.... then I pray for myself for being so bitchy and eyerolly. ?

I originally questioned Jenna being on the team because she looked like a little girl at auditions, but she's really blossomed into a great DCC. She can still look a little young to me (especially in the swimsuit photos) but I think her maturity comes through, too.

Jenna did look like a kid that first year, and I was skeptical, too, but she really is one of the best dancers on the team. If she weren't so teeny, she'd be a great point girl, but she'd be swallowed up by the taller dancers toward the center of the triangle.

I've always loved Jenna. I'm tiny as well and often get the "you look so young" comments, so I rooted for her from the start, but she has turned into a great DCC. I agree that she would be a great point girl if she wasn't so small, but I could see her as a group leader if she stays next year and Angela retires.

Absolutely! Someone upthread had Friends and Family performance posted, and Jenna had a minin solo (only an 8 count or two) in the dance where they have the cowgirl/western clothes. She absolutely rocks it for the minute she's front and center, solo. The rest of the time, she's swallowed up and all most hidden by Holly and Jacie, because they're so much taller and are also really phenomenal performers. 

 

There have been a couple of appearance posts - maybe Oxnard? - where Jenna is up front but on the end, and she's absolutely outdancing the girls around her. Maybe Jessica, Melissa *gasp, yes* and Lacey *double gasp, yes*. Jessica looks slow, Melissa is off, and Lacey just looks like she isn't moving as 'big' or precise as Jenna. That may be on purpose - shorter girls have to move "bigger" and taller girls "smaller" sometimes, or they don't look in sync. Anyway, Jenna is rocking it.

Wow! I didn't even recognize charlotte at first! The outfit isn't even what caught me off guard, it doesn't look too risqué in that picture anyway, but her cheekbones!! She is just so gaunt.  Good for her if she likes that super thin look but it's not for me.

Not sure where to put this....saw where some of the DCC were tweeting about the calendar release party.  Isn't that something that's usually covered in the MTT shows?  Or am I just confused...?

 

Hmm..I don't remember seeing it in the MTT shows since it happens after the team is made. Maybe I should go back and rewatch.

The calendar release party was on the show at least once. I can't remember which year I'm thinking of but I feel like it was season five or six because Kelsi Reich, Cassie, and Mia were all featured in the calendar that year.

I believe it was season 5 where the calendar release party was shown. Season 7 they did have one episode featuring the calendar shoot. I remembered laughing and rolling my eyes in seasons 5 and 7 because they were trying to fool the viewers by pretending the calendar shoots happened after the team is announced.

Kelsey just looks so haggard ! She needs to retire.

I think she looks fine. The very first picture in that set of her on the beach is just a bad pic. She looks the same as she always has in the rest of the pics IMO. Kelsey has never been one of the most attractive girls on the squad, but I really enjoy her personality.

Yeah that first pic is just terrible, makeup, hair, and tan. Kelsey can sometimes look a bit harsh.. over tanned and a bit skinny I think? But I think she looks fine normally.

Agree. I've always thought she can look harsh, but she's one of those girls who balances her looks with great personality and dance ability. :)

I think Kelsey is gorgeous. I really like how she looks w/ the hair color she has now. I can see where some would think she is too thin, but she looks great in the uniform IMO. Crazy the differences of opinions on who is pretty and who's not.

Re: the calendar photos, those one(s) of Kalia look amazing. She was just born to be a swimsuit model.

Looked through the gallery and weird to me that Kinzie is kind of their 'face' of the DCC right now yet she was only in one pic from the event? Maybe I accidentally skipped over her another time or two but I only saw her standing at a table in one shot. Just kind of odd!

I can't figure out how to search previouslytv for a specific topic so I'm interjecting here...

I recently actually "listened" to Pitbull's "Fireball" (well most of it) and I actually liked the beat...does someone know of a video of the cheerleaders performing it? I couldn't seem to find that.

I was wondering that too! I wonder if she has a lot of fake followers though and is trying to monitor that? She has 12 THOUSAND followers on IG which is by far the most for being only two years on the squad (I think...I haven't checked the numbers on all of them but even Holly Arielle 'only' has 10k; Jenna Lene has 12k also but she is what, a fourth year?).  Only makes me think she is going who are all these people?! and maybe wants to keep a closer eye on it. Total speculation on my part!  These girls all switch up who is private and who is not LOL

That Fireball routine is super cute and actually looks like fresher choreography. I like it!

There sure seems to be a lot of injuries from the last 3-4 seasons. Wonder if it happens a lot and was just not covered throughout the series (except Brooke, Deryn, Lauren W, and Ashley N). It seems like  Brooke's injury in season 2 (2007) must have not been as bad as Rachel and Tessa's injuries because she  made the squad and was able to dance once she healed.

Do we know how soon into the season Brooke started dancing? I think it's a little bit different when a vet versus a rookie is injured in TC, but it must have been less than six months recovery if she danced during the season.

I think Brooke came back in October or around Thanksgiving after her knee surgery, but I am not sure.

So 4-5 months recovery. That's similar to Rachel -- her recovery time was estimated 6 months, but she was a rookie and hadn't even made the team so that's the difference. If Brooke had been in that situation her rookie season she might not have made the team (or she might have since they loved her so much).

She was replacing Kinzie, she's been unable to dance due to knee injury. On her Instagram she put a picture during camp out and said "I can't dance right now but I can shoot!" I can't post a link as she is private.

And I've also seen in many recent photos she has a strap on her knee still, so she is still currently out. She had injury and illness this year stopping her performing makes me wonder if she will come back next year or not.

I had no idea Danielle was featured so much in their opening video! (I do love her though.)

 

I didn't realize that either! Love her too and glad to see the exposure just wow! I bet she is pro bowl this year.  I'd still like it to be Holly because I think she'll retire this year but it seems to be Danielle's year!
