"Marin" was probably just the working name for the audition to keep it hidden that she's actually Abigail.  And who knows?  That might be the name she uses before it's discovered that she is Abigail.

The show doesn't care about the character regardless of the actor. Horton males mean nothing on this show.

That being said while he's one of my faves I'm glad he's not around because well look at what's currently airing and.. yeah.

I thought of him because if Abby is going to be resurrected it would be pretty important to include her little brother in this story as they were very close.

Days has its flaws but their payoffs usually land at least it did in the 90s it's been hit and miss since then.

I want to be surprised, like having EJ do the right thing.  I'm enjoying Dan in the role.  I like him being of questionable character, the snark is delightful, his repartee with Rita is great, and he's in love with a woman his own age.  If he keeps her son from her it would bug.  I'm ok if he gets the baby and says it's his for a while, Eric is too stupid to parent.

Agree with all you said except Eric being stupid to parent. I think that is the only thing he can do. I wish EJ and Nicole can stay together since AZ and DF have so much chemistry. But it's not to be.

Probably because it's the summer and they usually focus on the younger crowd at least they did when I grew up watching soaps.

This may mean nothing, and even if it does it's probably just a short stint, but Casey Moss recently followed Carson Boatman on instagram so we may be seeing JJ again.

I've also read from a reliable source that Annalynne McCord may or may not be Abby, so I'm thinking their doing a Hope/Gina type story with amnesia.

Interesting but I do think he returns for Doug's funeral I doubt we would see him before that. If we do I will be very surprised and hopefully a short stint the longer someone stays on this show the worse it gets.

She got better during her stint on 90210. Of course it wasn't hard to look good next to Shenae Grimes. Her vibe was more Young Samantha from Sex and the City more than anything, though.

I hope she's more Kate than Marci. I thought Kate had more dynamic energy and chemistry with her castmates. She also felt like a unique heroine and not cookie-cutter like Marci. I saw Annalyne on Melrose Place, and she definitely has more of a Kate Mansi energy than Marci, which I think this show desperately needs.

“Unique heroine” is a very interesting term for Kate Mansi’s Abagail. Her Abby was more of a sex-crazed vixen/semi-villain than heroine, unique or not. I thought Mansi was particularly good at playing this type but her lack of warmth and depth might not be suitable for anything else.

Later she found herself typecast as a sociopath who tried to seduce an older man (played by Ted King) and a psychopath who killed her boyfriend in two Lifetime films. Mansi is no Charlotte Ross or Sarah Brown. She hasn't grown in acting.

I'm not surprised. Mansi really played maniacal whether it was intended or not.

I feel bad for Chad. Boring Steph would have been a better choice.

She played a heroine in a couple of Lifetime films also Maternal Secrets and Nightclub Secrets(where she was a reporter and I honestly wish Abby was written that way on the show like she was in the film). However I do think her Abby was better off written as a antiheroine/vixen but for some reason they don't want to write a Horton woman that way except for Julie.

Apparently the Horton set was so old that it needed repairing and modernizing, so rather than scrap it between episodes, they made its destruction and restoration a plot point.

I'm just glad it'll look virtually the same. And if they lose the rape couch, that's fine by me.

The good news is, with this all coming out now, we have another 4 to 6 weeks of Nicole, so hopefully they can wrap things up with her and EJ and reestablish her and Eric in some meaningful way.

The rumored Abby recast actually has DID and she said she had a tendency to wear black wigs when she was in a "tougher" alter.
