immortalfrieza May 9, 2018 Share May 9, 2018 I'm guessing that I'm supposed to pity and feel angry and indignant that this is happening to Pride and the gang but I can't do it. The fact that Dwayne Pride actually HAS abused his power and used excessive force many times enough to have gotten him both fired and jailed a dozen times over if it were real life makes it feel more like Karma is finally catching up to him. Naturally, rather than it simply being that Pride is finally getting what's coming to him it has to be some sort of big conspiracy trying to destroy him. 6 Link to comment

I laughed when they were like, "but those stories are taken out of context!" Um, no. He did all those things. It's one of the reasons why Sonia left after not falling into Pride's line of rogue agents and questioning the tactics of the great and powerful "King." I realize that Pride is the hub of the show, but does every damn story arc always have to be about him?? Geez. 6 Link to comment
JessDVD May 12, 2018 Share May 12, 2018 Didn't we already do this whole Pride investigation takes things too far thing? I likewise have no cares to give over how we're obviously supposed to feel bad for Pride. 6 Link to comment
brgjoe May 12, 2018 Share May 12, 2018 Yeah, this is getting a bit old. Earlier it was the FBI that was focusing on Pride and his team. Now it's some "mystery agency" that is coming after him. I wish they'd stop with this sort of plotline. Not that Pride doesn't deserve to be admonished for a lot of the crap he has pulled. It's just a tired story that I wish they would move on from. 4 Link to comment
mythoughtis May 12, 2018 Share May 12, 2018 I agree with the rest of you. Pride has behaved badly. It’s been investigated. yes, I know that the tabloid causing an internal investigation is a ripped from the headlines plot. It’s not an interesting plot for me since it feels repetitive. Can we also just drop the multi episode arcs about corrupt mayors, CIA operatives, etc. just concentrate on the case of the week and the interpersonal dynamics of the team? 9 Link to comment
JessDVD May 16, 2018 Share May 16, 2018 No way does the show pay for Lou Diamond Phillips without him being a major player. 2 Link to comment
JessDVD May 16, 2018 Share May 16, 2018 Although I was really hoping LDP would be a good guy and semi-regular because I can always use more LDP. Otherwise, this whole plot has been convoluted and kind of dumb. Anyone could have enough on Pride to take him down the normal way if they want, without being jerks about it. If I understood it right, smarmy jerk was trying to work his way to the top and was going to use Pride to get there? I didn't catch how LDP was supposed to factor in. Smarmy jerk presumably offing himself and Halliday disappearing might mean she's not going to be the new regular but I assume all of that will be resolved in the first eight seconds of the season opener so who knows. Anyone know if Scott Bakula has signed on for next season? I can't imagine he'd actually be dead. Still miffed about them offing Estes, I liked him. Also, why does anyone on TV ever even get in cars? If I were in law enforcement or politics, I would walk everywhere. And, between this and the NCIS tonight, I'm never going to believe any picture I ever see is real either. 6 Link to comment
roamyn May 16, 2018 Share May 16, 2018 They’re probably faking his death. I’ve only watched bits & pieces this season, because Pride has pissed me off for the last time (like his mentor Gibbs has). Only Hettie on LA can get away w/abuse of power in my book because she’s so wicked & sly abt it. 1 Link to comment
immortalfrieza May 16, 2018 Share May 16, 2018 Once again, Pride gets away with all this shit he's pulled with nary a consequence. Oh well, guess we'll have to make do with Pride getting shot 3 times. Come on writers, nobody is going to buy that Pride is dead for a second so don't even bother to pretend. You know, one thing I've liked about this show is that the executives had enough confidence in it not to need to end every season on a cliffhanger like so many other shows do because they don't need to in order to get people to tune in next season, I'm sorry to see it here. 2 Link to comment
Bobbin May 16, 2018 Share May 16, 2018 I have extremely critical, life-and-death news to give you, but instead of leading with it, I'm going to drag it out by emphasizing how vital it is until it's too late to save you. If this was a murder mystery, I'd only be able to tell you who the killer is if we meet in a coffee shop in a booth directly in front of the window where I first have to tell you my life story while the sniper gets into position. And other tropes. 1 7 Link to comment

The real cliffhanger - and it isn't much - is, will Green Beret woman come back. Also, will Lasalle be able to straighten out his family business tax problems. Because that's exciting. 5 Link to comment
Jaded May 16, 2018 Share May 16, 2018 I FF'd through a lot of this mess. I missed last week's episode due to my DVR being to full to record it. Oops. Now that most of the shows I watch with longer seasons are going on hiatus until Fall there will be time to clear out said DVR. A vacation from new episodes of NCIS: NO is seeming like a gift after how blah most of this season has been. Link to comment
MDL May 16, 2018 Share May 16, 2018 As soon as Pride said that he was going upstairs to change, I waited for the shots to ring out.(no kidding :) ) I was surprised when they showed the shooter, but had we seen her before (can't always watch due to work schedule), and did it look like she was injured/beaten??? 4 Link to comment

Yes, she was the bad guy's partner. Green Beret woman beat the crap out of her. She had been in a coma but apparently came out of it. I thought he was going to be shot when he was out on the balcony. 1 Link to comment
TheGreenWave May 16, 2018 Share May 16, 2018 ^^^^^^What you all have said already. My eyes rolled out of my head several times during this episode because: (1) NCIS agents breaking into a law firm all Oceans-style and they ARE FEDERAL F***ING AGENTS (no wonder no one trusts the Feds), (2) character gets killed after being warned about imminent danger in a car bomb (never seen that before...cough, cough, lawyer on NCIS: MotherShip), (3) of course no one believes Pride even though he is trying to save your lives people!!, (4) yet ANOTHER corrupt New Orleans politician in the chief of police (RIP LDP), (5) you know that someone is getting shot/killed/kidnapped when the team starts celebrating and there is 5-10 minutes left in the episode, and (6) season finale cliff hanger with main character getting shot (but a baddie previously in a coma and no one stationed outside her room??). Lastly, not a criticism, but an observation: who knew that IRS auditors could be so...passionate! Kudos to IRS Agent for bringing the passion to her audit of LaSalle Enterprises (snore). 3 Link to comment
misstwpherecool May 16, 2018 Share May 16, 2018 Was the blonde lady assassin from Better Call Saul. Is she being set up as the big bad for next season or opener only. It was predictable, cliche and failed to write around two wrongs make a right(other than Pride telling people to stay out of it. Doesn't matter most of it will never make a courtroom or official investigation. Caper plots seem to big in tv this year. 1 Link to comment
JessDVD May 16, 2018 Share May 16, 2018 I forgot to mention the lunacy of all of them breaking into the law firm. And they all acted like it was just what we do on Tuesday, with slightly higher stakes. 2 Link to comment

Rambler May 16, 2018 Share May 16, 2018 So the plan to download the hard drive depended entirely on the evil killer blonde being nice enough to abandon her post and personally escort Miss Loretta upstairs to the hiring department. Yep that sounds totally plausible. I also liked how the drive was protected by a firewall so tight that no hackers would ever be able to break through and then they put it into an unlocked room that apparently any shlub off the street could wander into. 2 Link to comment
david gideon May 17, 2018 Share May 17, 2018 I'm a little confused. The bad guy was the assistant attorney general or something? So what is he doing in a law firm? He'd be in a government office and is hardly going to be working in a law firm on the side. The whole story is lame, but unless I'm missing something that tops the Lame List. 1 Link to comment
brgjoe May 17, 2018 Share May 17, 2018 Yep, I knew as they were celebrating and Pride had to leave the table, I just knew something like that would happen. Except I thought he would be shot by Bad dude Attorney General. After all, nobody saw him kill himself -- there was just that sound of a shot ringing out. So it was a bit of a surprise to see Bad Ass Hitwoman doing the deed. And yeah, this was a lame cliffhanger. Everyone knows Pride will be back. I'd tell LaSalle to lawyer-up. That if the IRS has anything to say, they have to communicate through his attorney. And have specifics IN WRITING about any possible laws/violations that might have occurred with the company. I also wish LDP hadn't been a baddie. I think he could have been a nice recurring character for the show. And yeah, you knew when Estes was getting into his car he was toast. I think if I were a law enforcement type there, I'd just get a bus pass. ;) 1 3 Link to comment

So it was a bit of a surprise to see Bad Ass Hitwoman doing the deed. And yeah, this was a lame cliffhanger. Everyone knows Pride will be back. At first, I thought we would see an explosion take out the second floor of the bar, but then I remembered that they blew up Pride and his bar last season (or was it the season before? I've lost track). So, I figured he would get shot. I thought that Lou Diamond Phillips was a baddie when he and Pride were out on the dock, but then later I thought that the rockets had been hidden on the boat and that the pilot would be the baddie and fool both Pride and LDP. It was kind of idiotic that all of this evidence had been built up against Pride, but it only took one photo to change the minds of the authorities. If I was the police/FBI, my first thought would have been that the 'real' photo was the phony one and that Pride was indeed the mastermind behind the evil plot. mythoughtis May 27, 2018 Share May 27, 2018 Nothing to say here except... can we please get back to cases of the week about crimes against navy personnel? Every episode gets more and more outlandish. Is this really how NCIS personnel behave? I felt like I was watching OCEANS 11. 1 Link to comment

Lasalle didn't want to be CEO in the first place and now he has to deal with this crap because his Dad was a total asshole who knew that fact perfectly well but shoved it on him anyway. 4 Link to comment
neuromom June 25, 2018 Share June 25, 2018 I just finished binge watching the entire season. I actually shed tears for Estes. Really liked him. He reminded me a lot of some of the cops I’ve workd with, I was hoping he’d be sticking around as a semi regular. Am I the ONLY one who pegged LDP as the baddie the MOMENT he walked on screen? I know a lot of people like him. I’m pretty neutral to him. But every time I see him, he screams “bad guy “ to me. How did Barlow’s lady partner get away from what I would assume would be armed guards, and walk into Pride’s loft and shoot him? And of course, the old troupe of bad guy shooting good guy, and walking away without actually putting one through the brain and making SURE he’s dead. So glad they ended this conspiracy before the next season. I like Sydney. I hope she comes back. Link to comment
neuromom June 26, 2018 Share June 26, 2018 Just checking in because I just saw the episode. The driver/bad cop was not the partner. The bad guy was the leader of the SOD unit. The partner was younger. i pegged the partner at the beginning myself, and it looked like it when the waitress said that the guy that came in was African American (she may have actually said black or dark skinned...I can’t recall..I watched five eps in a row). When the SOD captain came onscene and he was also African American, i figured the partner was a red herring. Also, what is it with NOPD and the corrupt admin cops? Poor Estes didn’t stand a chance ! He was one of the good ones! 1 Link to comment
