Anfisa married Jorge for money. Everyone here praises her for her "honesty" about being a trifling ho, as though that somehow makes it admirable. When Jorge turns out to be broke on top of being dumb, she bitches that she's not getting what she came for.

Its not admirable at all, but from the first day of the show, Anfisa never misrepresented herself. She didn't lie. She said flat out she would leave if Jorge couldn't give her what she wanted. She blocked his phone over a Chanel bag. She broke multiple cell phones, keyed his car, and made it perfectly clear who she was. Anfisa is not an admirable person at all, but Jorge knew when he walked down the aisle that she was nuts, that his family hated her, and that he would spend his whole life trying to placate her.

Anfisa is a bitch, but Jorge is a liar. He lied to get her to come to the US, and then he thought he could get her to change and be a completely different person. No one should have sympathy for Jorge.

And about the whole job thing, I never got the feeling that Jorge wanted Anfisa to work. He wanted her to stay home and cook and clean and raise kids. Which is completely opposite to Anfisa's personality. The whole situation is incredibly stupid.

I mean, we're never gonna see a normal couple with a healthy relationship on a reality show. Since the medium isn't new anymore, it's a given that something is "off" with anyone who agrees to be on one.

I wouldn't say I feel bad for Anfisa, but even if she's getting attention now, this isn't gonna last. This isn't like a Housewives franchise. If any of these couples are banking on long term attention and paychecks, the clock is running out before they're shipped off to the web series, then back into obscurity where it's just their shaky marriage, no cameras and no perks.

I will say, i would LOVE Anfisa on a Real Housewives show.  She is so watchable!

Totally agree.

He and Danielle misrespresented their situations to lure their prey over.  I truly believe nearly every American -- male or female -- that intentionally looks for a mate in another country and wants to marry them immediately need therapeutic help.  They are looking for someone who is more attractive than they could find here in the U.S. and whom they feel they can exert some sort of control over.  They want someone dependent on them.  It's sick.

I'm leaving a lot more leeway in the Tell-All threads regarding social media/etc., but let's at least try to keep it on track with what's been shown on this episode.

Also, let's keep it classy with the back and forths.  We're not all going to agree on everything but we can be civil in our disagreement.

She's working for a marketing firm, so I assume that's related to internet traffic.

Jorge spent $100,000 wooing Anfisa. So he wasn't broke initially. She interrupted his work losing him deals.  She assaulted him physically.  She demanded he be available 24/7.

I think she was an obsession for him.

I also don't think she is beautiful. She has a great, surgically enhanced figure. Her face is average.

Their relationship was a transaction-she was with him until the money ran out. I suspect the same would have been true from his side if she got fat.

Loren is desperately frying ri set herself up with a storyline for a reality personality career  like Jamie Otis and Trish from the bachelor. She hasn't done the Tourettes folks any favors by showcasing the condition as something that you cover up with lies or burst into tears at the prospect of having a child with Tourettes. She is using her condition for drama like Yolanda Foster has done with her Lyme's.

Anfisa came to mind when I was reading the Vanity Fair article on Melania Trump. She just wants to read fashion magazines, do Pilate's, look in the mirror and shop. And all is well as long as she can do that. I am so thankful to have a skill set that lasted longer than my looks did!

Did Loren (and her parents) deliberately LIE to Alexei's parents about Tourette's being hereditary? Or were they innocently mistaken about that?

Loren came off sooooooo badly screaming and schreeching and dropping F-bombs and calling Anfisa a bitch. Foul-mouthed bully. When she can't get her way by crying, she does this. Buckle up, Alexei!

Maybe I'm the only one, but I don't think Anfisa and Jorge's problems are all about money or that he misrepresented his financial position to her. I think it's more emotional than financial.

This entire Tourette's discussion is driving me crazy.  Tourette's is a brain disorder and medical science has not yet determined its cause.  It is theorized that the condition MAY be hereditary because it tends to run in families.  The amount of misinformation on this show is astounding and disturbing because it perpetuates the stigma of this and other brain disorders.

I'm not saying this show's a reliable source of most information, but Tourette Syndrome is considered hereditary (capable of being passed from parent to child before birth) by the medical community.

My issue with the Tell All and even the episodes circling the TS/imaginary child scenario is this idea that Alexei's not allowed to feel any type of way about potentially having a child with TS and/or being lied to about the genetic correlations.  He's made out to be some kind of asshole by the host and the producers.

I'm saying that I believe her parents knew that there was a chance that it could be hereditary, and should not have told Alexei and his parents that it was absolutely positively 100% not hereditary.

I think they were lying and it wasn't right, even if they did it because they were scared he wouldn't go through with the marriage. That may have been a shitty thing of him to do, but he should've had an honest choice, not been blindsided a year later with info from Lauren that still wasn't particularly clear.

I can understand why it was hard for Loren and her parents to tell the truth. Imagine that you have a condition, a flaw basically, and at the same time you have to be right and perfect all the time? How can you balance this?

I stand by my statement that this show has done a disservice to people living with brain disorders, like Tourette's.  I have child with a brain disorder, not Tourette's but similar.  I have done about as much research on these issues as a layperson can do and am actively involved in advocating for people with brain disorders.  Doctors "consider" these types of brain disorders to be hereditary because there is evidence that they run in families and they have not found other biological explanations.  They really don't know. However, the sad truth is that relatively little research has been done on Tourette's and brain disorders generally, as compared to medical illnesses, such as cancer, diabetes, multiple sclerosis, etc.  I am not excusing or chastising Loren or Alexei or anyone else.  My point is that this show has added to the confusion and compounded the stigma associated with brain disorders.  These should not be snickered at tor diminished.  This show is making things more difficult for people living with these conditions.

Since cursing can be a manifestation of Tourette's, I'll bet Loren blames her use of profanity on it and claims she can't help herself.

FWIW, the host on this show was just as useless this year as she was last year. Why can't any reality show find someone decent to host these things?

Because no one respectable and cheap would agree to host it.   Sharp Entertainment is a production company.  They used that studio in Queens (a borough of NYC) because it's cheap.  They used Shaun Robinson because she's probably a couple of thousand dollars for a day's work.   Sharp Entertainment invests this money and then they sell that show based on assumptions on viewers and the commercials those viewers are likely to watch and ultimately consume.   You need someone like that because the show is trash and it doesn't sell advertisement the way "Good Morning America" or "60 minutes" does.  Do you see Charlie Rose or Anderson Cooper or someone from PBS or NPR doing this?  Absolutely not.

Then what I bolded above is exactly what Loren's dad should have told Alexei's parents. He should not have told them so emphatically that it was not hereditary., That has always been my issue. I feel that her dad  claimed ignorance and a lack of access to information as an excuse to hide from potentially unpleasant truths. Ok, I get it. People cope in different ways, but you can't or shouldn't rope your family through marriage into the same denial.

And then Loren's mom tried to claim that if the chances of getting Tourette's are only 50/50, it's not really hereditary and why worry about it if it may not happen. Um, ok. She did not take the same approach as Loren's dad and claim that information was not available. It seems her parents wanted to be shady about the truth and did not bother to get their cover stories straight. I think Loren knew as well that it is hereditary. She was outed during her meeting at the Tourette's Foundation when they told her ON CAMERA that it was hereditary. She didn't even act all that shocked or upset like, "How is that possible? Is this new information? For years and years, my family and I have always been told that it was not hereditary." No. She knew she was outed and she had to do damage control.

Not really. Lots of people enter into marriages without love for lots of reasons. Arranged marriages don't start out as love. Alla did not love Matt when she married him last season. Love as basis for marriage is relatively new. If there's something to work with, love will grow. If your spouse reveals he/she can't secure housing/pay utilities because of a criminal record, bad credit and inability to pass a background check, that'll douse those love flames.

The marriages on this show are lust based, not love. No couples on that stage knew one  another well enough to declare love when they got married. They didn't even know basic things about one another. Whose really lying here?

Anfisa was upfront with Jorge, who is a pathological liar. Dani and Mo were lying to each other.

Dani and Jorge contributed to their fraudulent marriages. I'm not gonna let them off the hook just because they are US citizens.

......and look how it keeps degenerating.  On the next season of the show, couples have not spent anytime together at all.  One of them is crazy enough to proceed with a 90-day visa without actually video-chatting with the person.   Notice how Sharp Entertainment displays that they are actively looking for candidates.

On a related note, some of those couples are not going to pass USCIS (immigration officials) requirements.   You need instances of multiple trips, along with pictures and ticket/hotel receipts documenting your many visits.  You need call logs.  In other words, you need to prove that an ADULT relationship actually exists and will exists once the K1 visa is granted.

Loren was right on calling Anfisa on making it hard for others who are legitimately trying to come to the US to be with their significant others.   This show is doing a disservice to those.   But Sharp and TLC only cares about selling commercials and making money and don't care about the mess they leave behind.  At a recent dinner conversation, I heard someone refer to someone else as "she's just a 90-day fiance".   Sad.

Pao is trying to set up Russ to stop him from filing an annulment claim.  I have more respect for Anfisa at this point.

Paola decided that she would eventually divorce Russ the minute she put on that Lingerie for her first "shoot".   She had a conversation with herself and she weighted the pros and cons of her decision.   I could hear her thinking.....Am I going to be a housewife or a supermodel?

I met a set of real models years ago for an event at a not for profit famous foundation.   A friend on the board of that foundation invited me.  Outside of the event, you couldn't get these girls to talk about modeling or to wear anything showy.  They were so private and so professional it seemed normal to be around them.  Which is what you expect from real professional.  Well, Paola is none of that.

Back to the first paragraph, Paola decided long ago that she'll divorce Russ the minute she starts making money escorting or doing actual modeling jobs.  I could see her doing promotional modeling for alcoholic beverages at events, or food at the mall, but I don't see her modeling "for real".

Then again, she's not stupid and won't divorce a good provider -- an engineer -- to be on the street.   Most likely, she'll keep him for the ring and the roof and for the spurious respectability that a husband/wife brings, but in her heart of hearts, she has already divorced him.  If Russ's parents are reading this, please forgive me.

I heard one time someone referring to a crack addict "you're married to the pipe".  Paola is married to attention to herself and to the camera.  I hope Russ realizes this and stops playing with his hair.

I have a child with a brain disorder and I work with people who have family members with brain disorders.  I cannot condemn Loren's parents. They could have been clearer, I suppose. Unfortunately, there is a great deal of misinformation and very little information available to families.  I don't know what her parents were told when she was first diagnosed.   It used to be that these kinds of behaviors were blamed on mothering.  Maybe the parents were told Loren had Tourette's because she was nervous and her mother made her so.  The disorder my son has used to be blamed on mothers as late as the 1990's.   I have great empathy for Loren and her family because I walk in their shoes everyday.

Yes, it's difficult but I just can't see any excuse for blatantly lying/misrepresenting. (And I say that as someone who suffers from depression and anxiety which also often run in families.) Intelligent ppl should realize that when having kids, anything can happen. A baby could be born with a condition that is totally unrelated to Tourette's. Or a baby can get sick or hurt later in life and develop a medical condition. Having kids is a crap shoot. They can be sick, healthy, ugly, cute, tall, short, smart, slow, anything. It's just shallow imo to expect a perfect baby. And even if TS wasn't hereditary in any way, just meeting someone who has it (or any medical condition) should be a reminder that stuff happens.

But I don't knock Alexei for losing it for a min on tv when he first realized he had been lied to. It can take a moment to process that...but that moment imo should have happened prior to their marriage, with the disclosure of all information.

Loren had the opportunity to decide if she wanted to mate & procreate w/ Big Bird. So he should have been given the same chance to know about her....imperfections. buwhahaha

To give the host a script requires a writer to be paid.  Again, Sharp wants to keep expenses super-low.   I was also watching it and thinking, a real host wouldn't let Loren to control the conversation.   But Shaun Robinson is there to incite BS and to raise issues that would ignite that BS.   This isn't journalism, it's trash.  See it for what it is, enjoy it, and move on.

They fill up with scenes that we have already seen because there is nothing else to show that is NOT free.  In other words, those scenes don't cost anything and allow the program to be sold off as 1 hour, as opossed to 30 minutes (big difference).   It would be great to have more background into a story but that cost money.   Think of the fat blond girl and the guy in Morocco.  Sharp had to cover those expenses and you are filming overseas, they add up quickly because foreign companies are charged twice for everything.  Especially foreign TV or movie crews.

I can help with this one! Usually handles managing the entire media plan for a specific client or clients. It's typically a very detail-oriented, high-pressure (at times) job that requires excellent organizational and communication skills with in-house creative staff & account managers, as well as media sales reps and production teams. Never liked Loren. I knew too many whiney girls growing up who got by because they had Asthma,Trets or various other ailments. Cry and everyone feels sorry for you and helps you and ignores what a stupid little birch you are.

And Jorge will tell the world that Anfisa does Porn. Dont like her chipmunk cheeks and she needs to blend her makeup down her neck. She will become like Darcy soon.

Oh, she's a gold digger.  By her statements, the reason she finally responded to one of his many many FB messages is because he said he was rich. Her every 5th word to him is about money.  Not money to be practical and pay the bills, money to buy her luxury items.  She's over on a fiance visa; in order to stay in this country, she had to marry the schlubby guy who lied about his wealth.  There wasn't enough time to find herself a wealthy sugar daddy before getting married.

Chantel's mother wanted her to pursue a nursing degree so she would be in the prime location to pick up and marry a doctor. She was totally on track to get M.R.S. MD. Then Pedro the illustrious dishwasher comes along to ruin the whole plan! Poor Mother Chantel had her life's plan for her precious princess upended by a hot vacation fling. Sometimes the best laid plans of mice and men...

And since I'm now catching up -- having watched season 1 for the first time -- my first impression of Russ:  Is Pao a big cover for his Christian family?  At least in the early days, Russ gives off a very strong closeted gay vibe.  And does Pao think she could be the next Sofia Vergara?

This is Brilliant! I wouldn't be surprised now that you mention it.

Re: Paola - Watching her at that ridiculous Model Networking Event, its obvious that she'd drop Russ for the first fat rich guy ("millionaires and billionaires") she can rope. I think the storm off was aproducer-driven

You mean the event at the Jacht Club. And right after that she did a video in New Yersey. Fucking skank!

The porn industry is huge because men like porn. Anfisa is offering to be a man's personal porn star.  I think Anfisa will have no trouble finding a man if she and Jorge split. For now, there's the show money.

Anfisa's view of marriage is identical to what marriage has been for thousands of years. Much like Alla felt when she said that love grows over time.

* some men might find the slap a little sexy, as in I've got me a little spitfire.

I said from the very beginning that Jorge loved Anfisa's hair trigger temper. Remember his big old shit eating grin when she erased his phone? "She's crazy!" he says gleefully. He envisioned his kitten with a whip and loved it. Then Anfisa turned out to have a brain and saw through his shit. Ooopsie!

I'm guessing Loren learned her stellar coping skills from her parents. Looks like the whole family just runs out of the room weeping when things get tough. Then just put their hands over their ears and chant "lalalalalala I don't hear you!" Then deny everything. Then, when cornered, lie, dissemble, make excuses, run from the room weeping, and play the victim.

I agree. Russ is already part of her past. She is always spoiling for a fight with him. Snotting "I'm DONE!" and locking yourself in the bathroom is no way to strengthen your marriage. And I agree she won't dump him yet, not till she has a replacement in the wings.

Lol yes, I'd do it for free and do a much better job.

Right? I'd do it for the catering. I've worked in academia for years and done my share of Commencement days. I'm good at crowd control.

Pao storming off the stage mumbling something about Russ not defending her. Doesn't she remember her bestie Juan belittling Russ and her smiling and NOT defending him? What a bitch

Yes, Pao definitely wanted her chance to storm offstage. To show off her shoes, or maybe have the camera linger on her ass as she "storms" off. (She can save that clip and masturbate to it while she listens to Hoy Se Bebe.) All of the women will storm off stage before its all over. Every one of them wants her diva moment.

And she disrespects her husband all the time, without a care in the world. Her poisonous little creep of a bestie trashes her husband to her face and she laughs. The director of the video makes snarky remarks about "white boys" and she giggles and bats her eyes. Its not the lingerie, Pao. Its that you hold your husband in such low esteem you let other men dis him.

This makes way too much sense.

But honestly, if I were mom, I'd be pissed too. Especially if my kid sprung this on me at the 11th hour after so much lying.

I'm not saying Mother Chantel wouldn't have reacted better if she knew the truth, but the extra lying was like salting the Earth.

a lot of people's gaydar was pinging with Russ the first season. In fact, there was much speculation that the wedding wouldn't (or shouldn't) happen

Thinking of Chantel as a nurse made me wonder if they make skin tight, spandex scrubs? Princess Chantel is far too hot to wear scrubs and practical, comfortable shoes.

Plus, they are willing to have their kids cohabiting with a person they barely know. Someone who could be a rapist or a pedophile. And they're more concerned with their own need to have someone than they are with the safety of their kids.

Great point and that was my initial concern season 1 when Mo moved in with Danielle and the teen girls.  As bad as Mo is, as far as we know, he didn't do anything to harm the girls.  Sadly, Danielle brought a strange man into the home and did nothing to protect her girls, which she claims she cares about so much.  Danielle dodged a bullet right there.

Serves her right. She wants to be miss feminist who doesn't need her husbands approval or doesn't have to consider his feelings for anything, including her little bitch friend dogging him out?  So she can be woman enough to not need him to defend her as if she's the little wifey who can't speak for herself.  Can't stand her.
