And, NO, please don't have London on a few more times.  Her whole schtick is being gross, from what I have read about her.

Yes please stop trying to make London a thing. Netflix is the worst as they have been putting her in every panelist show they make. Every time all she does is go on about how she is black and English.

I don't mind her "Black & English" branding. The sexually suggestive "Do you like Black girls?" made me cringe because it is not helping #MeToo in any way. If she drops that, I'm okay with the rest and think she could do fine on quiz shows. I've watched reruns of the 70s shows and saw the early appearances of some before they got the hang of it.

I knew that was Pee Wee Herman as soon as he came out with his face completely hidden behind the giant nose. (That's at least the third or fourth time they've done that with him.) David Arquette was familiar but with the makeup I couldn't place him until they called him out. I wonder if the award-winning makeup artist did their makeup...

Surprised they had Vee Neill on. She is probably one of the more recognizable or well known makeup artists. Not surprising they all got it. Now bring back Face/Off.

The clown segment was pretty hilarious. Like above I picked Pee Wee out immediately but missed David. I lost it when he dropped his nose.

Similarly, John Kassir (Cryptkeeper) is pretty recognizable if you're a horror fan.

I knew it was him as soon as I heard his voice, before they even sat down. He has played one of the imposters before. I like it when they have "professionals" playing the imposters, like the Cryptkeeper guy.

Donald Faison seems a lot like Turk (his Scrubs character), giggling like a 10-year old at the pee app and dino poop museum.

Mama Doris was 2 for 5 this time, maybe she didn't have time to Google anyone that week.

Really enjoyed this episode.  The panelists were fun and none of them were trying to take over the show; they all seemed like they were having fun.  I, too, knew Vee from Face Off and will add my voice to "bring back Face Off!"

In case anyone else was wondering, George Lopez had a kidney transplant (the donor was his wife). Which I vaguely remembered reading about when I googled it.

That singalong was painful.

Sorry, Ant'ny, but your mama isn't that funny.

"Natasha Leggero is an American comedian, actress, and writer."

So says Wikipedia. I mostly only know her from stuff like this.

She's a stand-up comic and she was also in the Comedy Central show "Another Period."

Mama Doris was 3 for 5 this week, although Anthony did not ask her to guess the first one (ballpark organist) as far as we saw.

When one of the jetpack pilots said he went up 4,000 feet I knew it couldn't be him. There is no way you can get up that high with a jet pack. You don't even go that high when you go skydiving.

Did that have anything to do with the fact that something was wrong with his eye? It was all red.

I didn't notice that... his transplant was in 2005, due to "a genetic condition that caused his kidneys to deteriorate" (according to his wikipedia page).

You are right about the jetpack but skydiving is done above 10k feet mostly. My first time was at 13k feet and only had around 60 seconds of free fall.

I do need to nitpick his title of being the only jetpack pilot. There are a lot of people now and multiple versions of a jetpack in use. The military is using them in tests to go between ships. Rescue workers have used them to go up mountains. Hell Adam Savage has flown one modeled after Iron Man.

I've never liked Mama, but I have to admit that I laughed out loud when Anthony asked her if she had a final question for the fountain designer and she asked whether they'd tried the salad at the casino.

Natasha is like a bad penny on these shows.  Years ago I saw a brief clip of her stand-up which, while a little snotty, resonated with me.  I clicked "next video" and got a mean-spirited bit about people at Rite-Aid (one punch line, about a worker she'd noticed was pregnant, was "that's how poor people are made!").  I didn't see her anywhere for several years, until she had a bit part as a stripper in "Community."  Then she started showing up on all these panel shows, roasts, etc.  When I went looking for the two clips I mentioned just now, YouTube suggested a bit titled "Have you ever noticed that your ugliest friend is most afraid of getting raped?" so I'm glad she's been keeping it classy.

I didn't really care for any of the panelists this episode as it felt like none of them could be bothered to be funny or to ask an actual question to the guests.  During one segment, they showed mama more than the actual interviewees.  For this show, who is on the panel really makes or breaks the entertainment.

I'm assuming you did a tandem jump; when you do a static line jump you only go up about 3,500 feet. Either way - too high for a jetpack, as the pilot rather obviously pointed out there's no parachute so any malfunction would mean almost certain death if you were up that high.

The episode shown tonight (3/23) but I couldn’t figure out if the panelist named Adam was under the influence or if that’s just his schtick

Adam Pally. Could be both. He was funny in "Happy Endings" but he seems kind of obnoxious in real life.

Didn't think the telegram singer had a very good voice.

Can't think of many brides who would wear toilet paper gowns, especially if they cost as much as (or more than) a traditional gown.

I know earnestness is out of fashion, if it was ever in, but I really hate it when the celebs spend more time preening and attempting humor than trying to play the guessing game.  I definitely think Adam was on something.  Jesus!

The concertmaster was the most interesting to me because I know that world.  I ruled out #1 after she said it wasn't possible to pick out one bad note from a hundred players, and I agreed with Sherri that #3's Beethoven's 5th was a little too basic, while "whatever I'm working on at the moment" is the kind of diplomatic pablum you might expect from someone really in that role.

Is Mama growing on me?  I thought "...and you didn't like chicken?!" was genuinely funny as delivered.  On completely the other end of things, I kept thinking that I would've loved to see Kitty Carlisle or one of the other blue-bloods they used to have, just to stare down that concertmaster and give him the third degree.

I didn't think so either.  Maybe "willing to look like a jackass in costume" is a more important qualification than vocal range.

I think Mama Doris has been less annoying in the lastest episodes. Idk if that's because they told her to tone it down because most people don't like her, or if she's not that into it anymore. I was annoyed when Anthony made her ask a random question. Like who cares?! Lol

I guessed the toilet paper dress designer because I thought the other two slipped up on a couple questions. And I just knew the person in the bear suit had to be a secret celebrity,  because they were completely covered and I figured they were disguising their voice. I thought the older lady in the last segment couldn't be the vegan chef because she said she had been one for 25 years, but decided to become one because she grew up on a farm and saw what happened to animals. Like that seems  a little weird. Lol although I liked the jokes about her being angry and serious.

But think about how relatively cheap they are to make.  But time consuming yes.  Wonder if a dressmaker could make an actual living if a lot of brides wanted them.

I finally remembered to get on this forum today and ask if anyone else thinks Mama's been asked to tone it down for the past few episodes.  I see at least a couple of people think the same thing! Her voice has even been less grating.  I still don't like her, but she's been MUCH better lately.

Did Jaleel throw the game guessing the author of Go the F*ck to Sleep? The other two contestants were clearly BSing their way through reciting the first lines, and he wound up picking the one whose made up verse didn't even rhyme or flow at all. And yet Jaleel was the only one to have claimed to have read and been a fan of the book. Okay then.

One of these times, I want a panelist in the 3rd round to say "well I didn't choose #2 because the next round must be 'Before You Go' and they never make anyone move chairs for that round."

It used to always be that the 2nd round was always the start of before you go. They only recently started mixing it up to be the 2nd or 3rd round. They should just let one of the people move into the middle spot to keep it more of a mystery.

WTF Marlon Wayons! I wonder if the show found a replacement for the Beanie Baby with the tag still on or if they had to pay the contestant what he said it was worth.

Has Arsenio Hall done anything since his TV show was cancelled back in the 90s?

If I live to be a thousand I will never understand the appeal of those huge ear gauges. They look painfully unattractive to me.

I'd love to tour the Winchester Mystery House some day. But don't bother with the movie they made about it with Helen Mirren, it stinks.

I had hoped the Beanie Baby thing was fake, but Anthony looked legit pissed off and the BB guy looked like he was dying on the inside.  I'm sure ABC had the BBs appraised before they if they gave him any money, but any money isn't going to make up for the destruction of something he clearly loved.

Pulling that tag off was such a jackass move.  I don’t believe for a second he thought that was just a sample, not part of the collection, or whatever he said.  I think the chutzpah to do that was just an extension of the flippant and, to my eyes, disrespectful attitude the panelists often take with contestants with out-there interests.  I do wonder how the show resolved that.  The very highly valued Beanie Babies tend to be ones with misprints or similar, so it’s not like they can just give the guy any Hoppity hanging around someone’s closet.

The woman associated with the rainbow flag was very interesting.  Her particular expertise was in dyeing: here is a bit more of her story.  As alluded to on the show, there is some bad feeling around Gilbert Baker, who was a friend of friends of mine.  He was definitely an expert self-promoter, which helped him do much good, but he could probably have done a better job elevating the small team he worked with along with himself.

Wow that was the cringiest thing I've seen on this show. I can't believe he did that. Honestly Anthony just casually tossing it to him didn't help either. Based on the reactions that lady was quite the performer. Maybe she talked to the guy backstage and just really felt bad for him.

Going by the Beanie Baby documentary out there, the values where purposely made up out of thin air with special catalogs listing their 'value' each month. From a quick search online only a couple sold for six figures and 1 wasn't the Princess Diana one mentioned to be $100k. That one sells for $200-250. The green floppy that got its tag torn has sold for $3k. Still a lot of money and more with the other floppy bunnies as a set. Still a super dick move even if they were worth just $20.

I laughed at how Joel finally commented that they didn't get it right when picking #2 as they cut to commercial. He's way too familiar with the "before you go" setup.

So that was misleading; she was credited on this show as having designed the flag, no? Or was she billed as having created it? Big difference. Gilbert Baker did indeed design the flag; Lynn Segerblom just helped make the first two.

Wow, I found Marlon to be totally disrespectful throughout the entire Beanie Baby segment.  First, he really insulted the collector by continually referencing that an African-American man would never invest in those and then when he ripped the tag out after hearing that the tags meant the collectible was in mint condition and made it more valuable.  I thought the collector looked very upset after that incident and I really liked that contestant #3 looked very sympathetic during that segment.  I also couldn't believe that Marlon and Arsenio both laughed after Anthony told Marlon that they couldn't ruin personal property.  I think Anthony will make sure it's right with the collector (but the fact that in the photo they showed had the collector holding that very same bunny made me think it was one of his favorites).  This could really hurt the show if future participants thought the show couldn't guarantee the safety of their possessions.

I think the tagline was "I am the rainbow flag designer," wasn't it?  "Designer" was definitely repeated several times.  My first thought was, "Gilbert Baker has been dead 5 years."  I guess Lynn's point is that they collaboratively designed the first flags.  AFAIK no one disputes that Gilbert fleshed out the meanings of the colors and took an active role in promoting the use of the flag around the country and world.  But apparently Lynn does take exception to his being described and understood by many as a singular creator.  As interesting as I found it, it did seem maybe a bit pointed for a venue that doesn't facilitate further discussion of these points.

Totally agree! And Anthony was an idiot to toss it to Marlon in the first place. Anthony had to know their value, so to toss a collectible around for shits & giggles was extremely irresponsible.  I hope Anthony and/or the show has a huge insurance policy.

The Munchkin lady said she was 89 and that she was 7 when she filmed The Wizard of Oz in 1938. That would mean this episode was filmed in 2020. How old are these shows and why is there such a backlog of them?

I can't think of a venue where aerial chain performance would be a thing, except maybe in a strip club.

Some of these reboot game shows seem to have taped a whole bunch of episodes at once and then they get aired later (I guess when the network has nothing else to put on?) I remember looking up Match Game a while back and it was taped at least a year earlier (one of the celebs mentioned their then-newborn baby, and when I googled about it because I was curious, I realized said child was over a year old at that point, might even have been two). I think there were some that aired in 2020 that were clearly taped pre-pandemic, and when I looked it up I found something that said they had been taped in the summer of 2018 or 2019.

For some reason I keep forgetting to watch this. I know it's on. I don't know what my problem is (I guess I get too caught with the This Is Us forum since that's what I watched right before, and it's on a different channel). Will have to watch after work.

Anthony is guest hosting Jimmy Kimmel Live this week.  Guess who is in the front row?  Mama Doris.  She got more attention than any of the guests.  It was her birthday so she got even more attention and was up at the desk.  I hope she isn't there every night.
