I hope Joe is wrong.  If anything, I think the ad bomb will backfire because I know I, for one, am sick of being bombarded with them.

I suspect that Joe will get a bonus if Bloomberg continues to advertise on Morning Joe .

The problem is that Mika & Joe are not very engaged in interviewing the candidates.

During past election cycles, they would leave their families & travel to various cities & do town halls with all the candidates. It was exciting .

Hopefully, MSNBC can convince all the candidates to travel to Jupiter Florida to appear in the breakfast nook or perhaps do the interviews on a porch.

t's sad that Mika & Joe don't put much effort anymore into preparing detailed questions for the candidates running for President. It's a show devoted to talking politics 90% of the time, so why not do some prep work  ?

C'mon, prep work?  That's for chumps and losers.  We are STARS.

Joe's excitement today was limited to bragging about how much Bloomberg was spending on TV ads for the Super Bowl. Joe believes that the ads will help Bloomberg during Super Tuesday.

I know we're getting bombarded here in AZ with Bloomberg ads.  I only know this because, since I watch almost nothing live, I can make out the word Bloomberg as I FF past the ads, as I do with all commercials.

People watch the Super Bowl commercials because they expect something that is cute and funny and cutting edge, not political.  Anyone who makes up their mind about a candidate because of something they saw during a football game should probably turn in their voter card.  Joe is an idiot.

I'm trying to imagine Rachel or Chris or Nicolle or Ari getting up and leaving in the middle of their show while someone else conducts an interview of a politician, and of course I can't.  Host of a show doesn't mean you just get to bloviate your opinions the loudest; there are actual responsibilities that go with hosting that the Gold Dust Twins haven't quite mastered.

The guests are Adrian Elrod, Ed Luce, and Jeff Goldberg of The Atlantic and Jonathan Lemire.  I cannot stand Adrian Elrod's voice, hairstyle, or smirky demeanor.

First, breaking news:  Harry and Meaghan are leaving their royal duties.  This story is stupid and not worth two minutes on a DC news show.

The serious news started with Lindsay Graham and the president on Iraq.  The NY Times says that the president is trying to de-escalate the situation after a missile attack on a base in Iraq.  Yesterday, the president announced new sanctions on Iran.  He said Iran will not have nuclear weapons.  Joe said Trump's response is measured.  Joe feared that Trump would gloat.  Willie said there is relief about the response.

Jeff Goldberg says that is only one day and Trump can still fuck it up (  I'm paraphrasing).

Jon Lemire has a story out for AP today saying that the president is seeking an out after Iran strikes.

Jeff Goldberg says the US can remain as a quiet presence in Iraq.

The discussion about black voters and Pete Buttigieg was both hilarious and depressing. First of all, the entire premise was stupid. Oh look, one black guy (that most people haven't heard of) is endorsing Mayor Pete! Surely they will be more willing to vote for him now!

So glad Jason Johnson killed that idea from the outset. But then Joe actually tells and African American political scientist, who writes on race and politics for a living, that an army of imaginary black pastor friends has confided with him that blah. . blah. . . blah (I stopped listening after he started citing his imaginary friends.)

I loved Johnson's reply to Joe's "older black voters" analysis. Johnson (paraphrase) Pete Buttigieg is polling at four percent among African American voters, that's not a generational failure, that's a failure across the board.

Goldberg told Joe that American troops will likely still be in Iraq in 6 months. The vote in parliament to ask US troops to leave was not binding & did not include Kurds or Sunnis. There was barely a quorum for the vote.

Goldberg reminded Joe that there were demonstrations against Iranians influence in Iraq.

Joe did not reply.

Adrienne was upset that Trump complained about  the money that Obama gave the Iranian government in exchange for the nuclear arms agreement.

Joe was quiet on the issue today. He spent months ranting against Obama in 2015 when the deal was announced.

Joe asked Willie if Britney Spears was still relevant as a pop culture icon.

The top story is the house passing a resolution to limit the president's actions in Iran.  They showed video of Nancy Pelosi criticizing the killing of Suleimani, then video of the president saying the Democrats support terrorists.

Joe said it is a total lie that Pelosi defended Soleimani.  He said you are "stupid as hell" if you believe that she defends Soleimani.  Joe did a goofy idiot voice and said "DUH" to imitate Republicans.  He also did a Southern auctioneer voice to imitate Rep. Collins of Georgia.  Mika laughed at Joe's insults and pretended to take notes.

Willie interviewed Donnie Deutsch about our policy toward Iran. Donnie talked about a USA Today poll.   Willie seems kind of tired and over it today.

Joe spent a lot of time lecturing Republicans about the articles of impeachment.  McConnell says he could pass a resolution to dismiss the articles if they are not sent to the Senate.  Joe said the Republicans in the Senate will be hurt in key districts if the articles are dismissed.

Well I tuned in this morning and wowsers what a crew.  Mika is in her furious note taking mode, Donny Deutch is wearing his "You Dirty Rat" ensemble, Jake Sherman looks like he has the sadz that he drew the short straw this morning in terms of attendance and Joe's theme for the day is to call everyone stupid.  Stupid stupid stupid.  This coming from a man who had to stop, back and up and restart his rant at least twice as he lost his place in the notes that were placed before him (there is no way he pulled those together).

It's never ceases to amuse me that they have those two different cameras crammed into the breakfast nook (I know they need them as one or the other tends to wander off and it would show more on a wider shot) but when Joe really gets wound up and the cuff of his sleeve bounces into Meek's shot . . . hee!

I think he also threw in a touch of Bill Clinton in there too . . . good grief this show is so messy.

Why is Donny dressed like a ganster?

Why is he on the show if they are discussing foreign policy issues ?

All of a sudden, Joe is an expert on military tactics in the Middle East.

Joe wants a small force stationed there to keep an eye on Iran & Iraq.

Joe joked with Crenshaw about not criticizing Trump on MSNBC, but he did about Syria.

Mika left the set to go shopping at Publix.

There is just something about the Axios reporters that put me off. Jonathan Swann is creepy; Jim Van de High (sp?) the same. I don’t know why they effect me this way.

Vanderhei is still upset about his book on Steve Bannon not hitting the NY Times Bestsellers list.

Well, Joe succeeds at irritating most people so he should be able to achieve his goal.

I would pay a bit to see the catalog of notes she's taken during shows.

Some samples:  Must keep writing.  Do I look involved? I want cake. Which kind of cake should I get? I Know My Value!  I do!  KYV!!!!!! KYV!!!!!! 👯‍♀️🐱 What are they saying? Cake. 🍰 Do I look pretty?  I look pretty!!!!  I have value!!! Cake?  Do I smell cake?  Where is the cake?

At the risk of being vulgar, a burden I'm happy to shoulder, at least a few of those furiously scribbled notes are her in a scoop top tee with the original girls, bigger size, even bigger, and then comically big and the biggest ones circled with a "YASSS!" and a smiley face and hearts with a "MB hearts JS"

The rest, PrincessPurrsALot, absolutely have to do with cake and people she hates.  Probably a picture or two of Heidi with an X through her face and knives pointed at her.

"How to get back in the work force in your 60s when you're a lady executive.
Step 1.  Sleep with the boss"  and she scratched it out.  "Think of something else. Have Ariana H. write it."

Jonathan Pryce the actor?

Good lord what bet did he lose?

Yup, and it was a good interview, led by Willie, with lots of clips from "The Two Popes".  They even talked theology and faith, in an analytical way. (Willie was well prepped.) Then "Joe has a question."  I can't even remember what it was, because I was laughing at Pryce's eyes darting around looking for the questioner.

Will someone please explain to me why Anthony Scaramucci is allowed on any talk show to discuss anything?  His 15 minutes were up 2 years ago and has nothing of importance to say on any subject. He even stated, jokingly, that Trump doesn't know who he is.  Also, do we really need to know about Mika's latest Cosmo article and her two Know Your Value books?   If you want to hawk your books, Mika, get a stint on QVC!

The Mooch was on Big Brother earlier this year. I can't take him seriously. He is annoying.

Monday show.

Mika & Joe agreed to return to the NY studio. Joe is ranting about Trump lying over the 4 embassies being potential targets of Iran. Joe said he was right about Soleimani.

Adrienne Elrod was left alone wearing one of Mika's blck sweaters in Washington.

Lemire & Eddie Glaude & Steve Kornacki & Tom Nichols are on set.

Joe flew up yesterday & went through the many Delta gates. KC kept scoring as they were being escorted through the terminal.

Joe stopped to greet supporters & signed autographs.

Joe is now talking about college football & made fun of Mrs Z's accent.

Mika took notes throughout the football talk.

Mika is wearing a dark blue jacket.

Kornacki said if you win Iowa & NH , you have an excellent chance of winning the nomination.

Joe quoted Pat Buchanan !

Adrienne said it will be a close race & ground game counts. You need 15% of the people in the room to get delegates.

The second choice counts.

Joe said that Mayor Pete only has 2% of the Black Voters. Bernie has 20% & Biden has 48%
