Mika made it sound like she was going to spring training too. When she was talking to my-Auntie-look-alike Senator McCaskill she said we'll send you photos. I remember this well, because the good Senator had a look like why would I want your vacay photos? 

I can't believe Joe is missing such a prime opportunity to talk about his issues with the tech world and the natural lead in from Facebook's issues to his own personal misunderstanding of how Google works. It has to be driving him insane holding in all these potential monologues. I feel for the soul who has to sit next to him at the baseball.

Mika called Trump mean. I dunno. That made me laugh. It seems so low key. 

There were always rumors around these parts that Trump was attracted to her and tried his game with Mika and that was part of the trios break up that eventually led to the Tweetgates 1.0 and 2.0. The more incensed she gets about his sexcapades scandals, which aren’t shocking the in least considering Trump is always and has always been Trump, the more I sorta start believing that.

She has no standing to be judgmental about women who use their physical attributes to get attention and I agree she likes to say "porn star" far too much.  Her whole pre-planned monologues on this topic today were what prevented the show from covering national breaking news in Austin.

Thursday Recap. Mika is still in Wahington DC. She is wearing a beautiful royal blue top with matching blue & white scarf. KC joined the panel with a lightning bolt. Willie wondered how long KCDC will put up with the lightning bolt. Sm Stein & Jeremy Bash join the panel.

Mika thinks that Trump is beholden  to Putin. Mika is mad at Trump misspelling words in his tweets. C'Mon Mika. You stumble of your words reading a teleprompter on a routine basis.

Mika is getting hyper over Stormy & other women coming forward about having affairs with Trump.

I wonder if Susan Scarborough watches Mika get all hot & bothered over women that have affairs with married men?

The panel is excited that Jeff " I can't win a primary nomination" in Arizona will challenge Trump in 2020.

KC likes Ben Sasse. KC is wearing a very classy white blazer.

Lately I've noticed the commentators on MSNBC asking really, really long questions. Mika has been doing this lately.  UGH! I guess you need 20+ sentences these days to ask a question!

Mika's either on meds or off of meds.  She's different.  She looks bright, and great.(I like attractive Mika)  She's positive. (I like chin-up, confident Mika)  She owns the space she's in.  (I cannot stand know-it-all smug Mika)  So her new attitude is a bit of up and down for me.
She also needs to understand that because she's talking about weighty matters, it doesn't make her profound.  She'll never be profound, no matter how long she belabors a topic.
 

It's a thing now.  Why hasn't her show covered the bomber in Texas?????  There must be a reason?  I'm sure Mika thinks she must discuss politics because it's so important and she's a serious newsie.  Or something.
I flipped to Fox n friends and some bimbo was interviewing some retired fireman and telling him that he's a hero and god has blessed him with heroism and real Americans love him while there was a crawl underneath saying that Finland (who in Finland?) has said that the preparations for a meeting with NK and Trump are perfect and all involved are excited and optimistic.
I should have gone to the gym and listened to loud music.  Sometimes the modern world is discouraging.  :(

Morning Joe has always been primarily a political show, and they have always under covered non political news stories, unless they rise to the level that they have to be covered. Combine this with MJ’s current mode as an anti-Trump show, it’s not surprising that they didn’t spend much time on the bomber story  

Fox News, on the other hand, wants to minimize Trump coverage as much as possible, given so many negative stories. Therefore it is not surprising that they spend as much time as possible on the bomber story.

This has driven me NUTS for awhile now!   The questions are in the form of long essays - then they end with, "Quickly, since we only have 20 seconds left, what are your thoughts?"   -    I literally SCREAM at the teevee, "SHUT THE F*CK UP!  EVEN I, OUT HERE IN PODUNK, UNDERSTOOD WHAT YOU WERE ASKING  AFTER THE FIRST SENTENCE!"  --------   I haven't noticed Mika being quite so bad with this, but Joe sure is.   By the way, I do not in the least miss him at the table this morning.  Miss Know-Your-Value really perks up as a host when he's not there.  I'm not minding her at all today (yet) and only wish she could be this loquacious when her boyfriend is there, intimidating her into coquettish silence.   Did I miss it if they said where Squinty's been?  On tour?

Agree. Joe needs to knock off talk like this. Yeah we'd all like to kick Trump's ass, but I'd prefer former Senator/VP to not talk like that in public.  He was great in pushing the campus rape legislation, and speaking up against assaults being swept under the rug, but this is just ridiculous.

Morning Joe used to be open to discussing issues like the federal budget , tax reform, entitlement reform, impacts of technology on various industries. They spent months on the auto bailoutsin 2009. Joe demanded that GM build electric cars. He was mad that they focused on pick up trucks & SUVs.

Mika used to get girl power segments.

Now it’s non stop Trump tweet analysis.

If Trump stopped tweeting, what would Mika talk about?

Ari Melber does this and it drives me insane!  It's like they're all trying to be Rachel Maddow, whom I love, but she is the Queen of "60 second question phrasing".

As for Mika's wardrobe, I agree either do something creative with those scarves or ditch them altogether as they become distracting just hanging there.  Maybe she can borrow a nice either fleece or puffy vest from Joe's wardrobe to round out her ensembles.

I only caught the last 40 minutes of the show today and my first thought was somebody slipped a few prickly pills in to Mika's coconut water.  Please know she was more than fine but she seemed a bit agitated.  When I was watching her segment with that DA from NYC Mika asked basically what was worse Trump's Russia problems or his women problem putting heavy emphasis on the latter.  The look on the DA's face was priceless as she explained of course the Russian issues were much more important.  It's going to be a long Sunday evening in the MJ household when Anderson Cooper cleans up in the ratings plus tonight he has another of Trump's accusers.  Yikes.

When Mika tries to be funny, it's... just awful.  The last 3 minutes of the show after Sam Stein let people know his wife works at FB, Mika made the same snide comment over and over and over and over and over again.  Like working at FB deserves derision.  It and Google are developing technologies that don't exist anywhere else.  They hire the best of the best and pay them lavishly.
Yeah, Mika was just being snarky, but she can't pull it off.  In a private moment if Mika tried to pull that in a small group, Sam Stein I'm sure is perfectly capable of a flip rejoinder that would flay her open.

Hey JoMika, if we're talking about companies that helped Trump get elected, let's not forget how much help your employer was.  NBC/MSNBC gave Trump millions in free advertising while yelling email/terrible candidate. So maybe STFU. You're no angels.

Mika is just too brittle for her jokes (at times) to be taken as funny.  She has adlibbed some great quips but for the most part she should stick to being the straight man and throwing those dagger looks because that she is great at.
