They're talking about Hope Hicks this morning.

I must admit,  it was a novelty having someone from a Robert Palmer video in the White House.

She also reminds me of Keri Russell from The Americans.

Is Mika drunk? Lol. It's after 11pm and she posted an Instagram photo of herself looking beautiful and Joe looking a little rough (ok, so, normal), but she was full on beaming at him, with something about them being ok with needing filters and, wait for it, this hashtag... #joeandmika

Girl! You have to be up for work in something like 5 minutes. Unless she's still on assignment tomorrow.

Edit: she deleted it. Hmm.

A side (shallow) note about Hope Hicks:  Depending on the angle, she looks like she might been a man who transitioned into a woman.  It's weird.

Suomi, thanks for my first laugh out loud of the day!

Joe opens the show "I said from the beginning I would be voting for Jeb Bush" (until of course my choice was bullied out of the primary and then I happily hopped onto the Trump Train).  Revisionist party, your table is ready.

Mika will be back on Monday.  That is all.  It seems like everybody is in a different studio.  For those in the path of the nor'easter, be safe.

Joe liked Kasich as well.

Friday Recap. Joe is in the bunker. Mika is off. Katty Kay is in the library. Joe is bragging that he was right about Trump. Trump would cause chaos. Clips of Jeb!

Joe called Donny a Groucho Marx Democrat.

The noose is tightning on Trump according to Donnie.

Everyone is upset at the tariffs on Steel. It will apply to allies like Canada.

Donnie is scared.

Joe ignored Putin's new threats of new nuclear missiles that could pearce the ABM defense shield.

McMaster & Cohn could quit.

This is the stupidest conversation about whether an AR-15 is comparable to what was used in Viet Nam ever.  Start publishing the autopsy photos from New Town or now MSD as those bullets/velocity obliterate everything in their path.  People bleed out before responders can even get to them.  Screw Joe for having a "polite" conversation as the representative was clearly not answering Joe's question and good on you Donnie for calling out the BS.  I am all for having a conversation about all of this but when people start hiding behind their talking points that's when I lose my patience as it's getting us nowhere.

What's wrong with Katty today? Poor lighting? Poor makeup? She looks ill. Get her out of KC & Heidi's library!

This whole show is odd from the opening.  Looks like it was thrown together at the last minute and very little energy.  On the up side, SNL is going to be lit this weekend.

I'm in the jaws of the Nor'easter.   Already lost my power for an hour.   It came back but highly probable it will fail again as the storm picks up and the temperature drops.

Glad to see I didn't miss anything.

Joe gets on my nerve, but the show is much better when he's actually in the studio and not split screening in from his basement.

Ugh. Joe has Nir Barkat on the show and is asking him about the embassy move to Jerusalem like he's been sedated.

Good, Heilemann just brought up the corruption charges. Wait. But they moved on already.

Who is this man who just asked Barkat about gun control? What a horrible segment.

Ok, is something wrong with Joe today?

I saw just a minute or so of the show this morning and then went back to sleep. But I noticed something in my short time watching that I've also observed on Nicole Wallace's show--when the panel is introduced, the host mentions a few credentials or at least the person's title (Chief Washington correspondent for NY Times, former speechwriter for xxx, etc.). But when it come to Donnie, it's just "And Donnie Deutsch" or "our friend, Donnie Deutsch".

Seems odd.

Donnie used to be introduced as CEO of his advertising company. I think he sold it.

He used to have a show on MSNBC but was fired after he showed a photo of Keith olbermann & compared him to a left wing extremist.

That was a scary discussion. Is an AR 15 more lethal than a M 16. Yikes!. Both are enough to kill many people.  I was watching Congressmen Sean Duffy on Fox and he said that under Wisconsin Law, Cruz would have been prohibited from owning weapons due to his violent history. Florida laws should be tightened up.

They said that there are 2.5 million AR 15's in the USA. That's a nightmare.

Donnie is going to get sick if he keeps getting riled up whenever he appears on morning Joe.

Joe had to calm down Donnie from his outburst. He told him to be respectful.

Tom Brokaw looked horrible. He has new glasses & they his makeup was blotchy. I hope he isn't sick again.

Billy Graham was worried about evangelicals being used or political purposes in 1981. That did not turn out well.

Hope Hicks?  Her departure was long in the planning.

Jared and Ivanka?   Their imminent exit is all part of Trump's plan.

Anyone see a pattern?

If you are a "friend of show"...any show on MSNBC..you have a permanent Get Out of Jail Free card.  You can say just about anything...be politically incorrect...be accused of any manner of stuff.  And you are still basically untouchable.  Except for (thank you, Baby Jesus) Mark Halperin.  Anyone remember that Meek-a wanted to bring him back on?  I think to have a sit-down with his accusers.  Thankfully, that never happened.

I think we can all agree that on MSNBC, no one's fee is ever held to the fire.  Republican politicians can come on and spout any manner of ridiculous...and there is no blow-back from the host.  Except maybe Ari Melbar, once or twice.  But Joe is never going to push back (at least on his show) on any of his fellow Republicans.  And the Dems, if you will.  All politicians are untouchable on MJ.  And you know Joe is still a Conservative (wanted to put that word all in caps, because that is the way Joe pronounces it) Republican at heart.

The times I have watched CNN in the mornings, Coumo and Camerota at least seem to try and get the politicians (both Dem and Repub) to speak truth.  It never happens, they never will, but at least they look like the ridiculous liars that they are.  At this point, I am turning into a bitter old woman.  Come sit at my table.

Joy Reid eviscerates liars on her show. She is the ONLY TV journalist I have seen on any network who is armed with facts, pushes back on bullshit, and follows up instead of letting herself simply get filibustered over.

Monday recap from Washington. Mika is wearing a lovely turqoise scarf.

Joe is in full blowhard mode. Joe blasted Trump for not following traditional GOP policies. Thy mocked Wilbur over tariffs on alumnim & steel.

Michael Steele was shocked how much the GOP has changed from the 1980's.

Heidi ! joins the panel.

Joe said Trump is out of control. He is mad at Hope Hicks leaving so he wants to start a trade war.

They haven't discuss China dumping steel in the USA at below cost. Of course, Mika went after Trump for joking about leader for life.

The room applauded. LOL!. Mika was mad at the journalists

It's funny the the panel doesn't realize that China is a top polluter & breaks the rules in trade & has an authoritarian government . That makes it easier to get things done. There are consequences though. Wealthy Chinese people are leaving the country to come to Canada.

China doesn't care about repression in countries that they invest in.

Heidi tried to calm down Mika about journalists laughing at Trump.

Haas mentioned China's 1 child policy being a disaster.

Joe is pro China today. Look at their advances in AI ! Joe said the USA is focused on 1800's technology. No one cares about mines & coal.

So now that Joe has figured out that maybe jumping on the Trump train may not pan out the way he thought and now suddenly China is looking good?  I wonder where the middle class knowledge finally seeped into his brain as we all have been screaming about them and their policies for decades but especially their investment in technology as they have pretty much stolen our lunch money on that one.

Joe brought up the Designer Chickens. It's a new trend. Someone killed one of Mika's chickens. Joe hates micro -pigs.

Philip Rucker was at the Gridiron dinner and praised Trump's performance & listening to all the jokes for 4 hours. Joe grumbled.

I am glad that Mika & Joe didn't kick him off the set. I find it amusing when a guest comes on the show and contradicts the previous hour of Joe's rants.

The country is DOOOMED with Dictator Trump.

Hope Hicks was Trump's therapist

Joe trashed KAC for not being in any important meetings that Mueller is investigating. KAC was out of the loop.

Haas was starting to discuss China's demographic issues which will hurt their economy, but Joe cut him off.

The SUnday NY Times did a feature on wealthy people raising chickens in their homes. The chickens are kept in heated chicken coups & fed special foods. They lay eggs. Mika has been raising chickens in her new home. Joe said she was ahead of the trend. Mika also has a pig. The pig stays inside. Joe doesn’t like having a pig in the house. It squeaks when Joe is practicing his music.

I checked out after the first 30 until now. Someone really killed one of her chickens? Yikes.

Joe gave Mika her pig as a Christmas gift, but now he hates them? He hates them so much he gave his fiancee one?

I'm terribly sorry Eric Bolling lost is son to opioids. But don't they know anyone else -- like, anyone else -- to get on their show to talk about this? Know your value by aiding in a sexual harasser's public rehabilitation, I guess.

I wish #joeandmika were even half as interested in social issues that don't personally impact them.

Lol. This final panel is just chock full of disgruntled Republicans. Is Mika the only non-Republican? I'm not sure she fully counts anymore...

So Joe is ass kissing Trump again with the "it's Obama's fault" bs.

Obama was in a "damned if we do/don't" situation.  They knew, given the intense atmosphere and Trump "rigging" line that if he went full out on Russia to the public, he'd be eviscerated and it could hurt Clinton. And if she was elected, she would be very strong on sanctioning Putin.

McConnell was being a dick.  And we know Obama was doing stuff behind the scenes, and DHS was contacting state election boards, but they weren't having it.

But again, let's blame Barack Obama for anything we can, because why would we not point out that Donald Trump is reversing everything Obama did to sanction Russia.

Maybe Joe should try this out on the Google - type in "Joe Scarborough helped Donald Trump get elected".

Quite a bit of revisionist history from Miss Mika this morning. In her new version of the world, she and Joe were horrified - HORRIFIED - by what was coming out of Trump's orange piehole during his numerous appearances on their show. She actually said, "We sat here with our jaws dropped; we couldn't believe what we were hearing!" as if there is NO SUCH THING AS VIDEO TAPE and no one noticed or commented on how they fawned and slavered over him for two fucking years.

Perhaps I'm just in a particularly annoy-able mood today, but it's been bugging me lately how #joeandmika always stress Mika's parents fleeing from Hitler and National Socialism, like they were from a shtetl and lost all their family as a result of Nazism. Both sides of Mika's family are old European aristocracy, her mother "fled" with her uncle, the then-former president, to protected exile in the UK with full international governmental help. Her father's father was a high ranking diplomat who "fled" to Canada because he was re-stationed there while Poland was still an autonomous state.

Joe thinks Trump isn't "smart enough to collude with a ham sandwich, let alone the Russians?"

Joey, when it comes to money and power, Trump will pay attention.

He didn't have to be in on the planning, all he had to do is give the go ahead to his minions, Jared, Jr. Manafort,Carter, Coffee Boy, etc.  to help the Russians with whatever info they needed to affect the election.

What did he know and when did he know it?  That's all it takes, Einstein.

I'm starting to think Joe & Mika are running the long con, attacking Trump endlessly to distract from the bullshit they pulled during the election, and to keep his base fired up again MSM.

Nice try.
