When the Phoebe reveal blows up in Flo (and Wyatt's) face, I hope Sally does the moonwalk in front of him and his amnesiac mother.

You know the writing is bad when I'm saying Liam would be an upgrade from Wyatt. At least she won't have Stephanie Forrester 2.0 to deal with there.

As much as I love this Liam, yesterday and today, why is Hope just standing there with her mouth open? Support your husband! Tell Thomas to get bent! You look like an imbecile who doesn’t know who they’re talking about. Stand up and be a grown woman!

We actually just got some video of Hope the entire episode...

Okay, I may have to stop watching this show. Hope is making me crazy with this indecision between her husband and that lying bastard, Thomas. How could she even consider being with him?

I'm currently watching today's episode as I type this, and I've never been so proud of Liam, ever. When he asked how the hell Thomas inserted himself into their relationship, I cheered.

#WaffleNoMore

Thomas OTOH continues to be his father's odious son with his mother's sense of righteousness. Not even Ridge was ever so brazen to propose to a married woman. And Thomas can quit pretending like he gives a shit about wanting his nieces to have a father.

I'm irritated as shit that Hope barely said anything at all during this.

Wyatt and Flo: 🙄 I can't wait till he finds out the truth. He sure moved on from Sally with a quickness.

"You're delusional!" Wow, I feel like Liam was speaking for the audience today.

What's the deal with Flo's eyebrows?

So all these adults are supposed to shuffle their lives because Douglas makes drawings of his fixation with Hope? It makes no sense! Thomas is INSANE.

I think Liam should march right over to $Bill's office and tell him what Thomas is up to. Bill knows how to handle a problem like Tom.

Thomas not only can’t act but he must not have the ability to comprehend what Liam is laying down. Thomas is pissing me off to no end because I know personally men who are just like him.  Thomas is greasier and more entitled than his father.  Hope or should I say Raggedy Ann just stands there like a deer in the headlights with her thumb up her ass.  Finally when Raggedy speaks up is more to defend Thomas than Liam. Hope, you fucking idiot.  Get this through your thick head, YOU DON’T NEED THOMAS TO HAVE DOUGLAS IN YOUR LIFE.

I’m sick and tired of Raggedy and now I can’t give two shits about her. Go to Thomas for all I care. You deserve his pompous ass.  It seems that TIIC have an infinity for people to be in relationships when they love someone else.  Liam is Hope’s first love but she seems to be willing to give that up for the “greater good”.  Caroline loved Ridge but gave the marriage up to be with Douglas’ father.  Did Thomas and Caroline ever get married?  Flo is Wyatt’s first love and versa versa, so I’m willing to give them a break for now.  The big difference is that Wyatt and Sally are not married.

Right now, I cannot stand Thomas, Hope, Wyatt, FLO (X10), Shauna (x10), Zoe (x20), Reese (x1000), and Quinn. Apparently, Thomas is deaf. Or so entitled that he can’t hear when other people speak. Run him down with your Prius, Liam. No one would blame you. Then you and Hope can raise his motherless child who’s so desperate to have Hope as his mom and she’s so desperate to have a child. Which she could have with you but whatever. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Oh, and shut up, Hope.

Although honestly, Sally is better off and I'm disgusted by her being trampled in the process of propping Felony Flo.

I don't think she is being trampled to prop Flo (who is clearly heading for a big fall given both Fullers' repeated and exaggerated insistence on Wyatt's never-before-mentioned need for absolute and complete honesty) but I do think she is being trampled on for plot points. Everyone else has a point of view; some of those points of view are crazy, but they exist. Liam loves Kelly and Phoebe, but he also loves Hope and wants to be with her; Hope loves Liam, but she feels guilty about the kids; Thomas will do anything to possess Hope; Wyatt doesn't care how this all shakes out as long as Liam is happy; Flo feels guilty for what she did (but not enough to tell the truth) and wants to mitigate any further pain in Hope's life; Brooke is team Lope forever; Ridge doesn't want to get involved, but he hopes no one gets hurt and would secretly like Steffy to be happy; Zoe wants to cause Hope as much pain as possible. But Sally? There's no consistency to her. One day she's insisting to Wyatt that Thomas has a point and she kinda agrees with him, plus Liam totally loves Steffy too, and the next day she's all "Thomas, Liam is back and he's never gonna let you have Hope." She doesn't seem to have her own thought process, but instead is just there to counterpoint whatever her scene partner says because that's what the writers need her to do. Which makes it hard to hate her, but also makes it hard to root for her, too.

I don't know where this "Tom" business came from, but I like it. Liam was just fantastic today, although you can tell he's Bill's pacifist son because if someone had spoken to me with such self righteous condescension about how they're morally right and completely entitled to break up my marriage, and dictated to me what my feelings were toward my spouse and my ex despite me never having a single serious conversation with them, that person would be on the floor. Strike that, Thomas wouldn't have even finished his elevator pitch and I'd get my dad to drop a building on him.

i wonder if AN got her script and paged through it like, "so where are Hope's lines?"

I did love how SC kept planting himself between Thomas and Hope anytime he wanted to have actual conversation with her though. But, correct me if I'm wrong because I blacked out with rage, but did Thomas start one of his speeches with "I won't speak for Hope because she's her own person" and two sentences later say, "Hope wants this too"?

Yeah. I also didn't understand Hope standing there mutely gaping like a wide-mouth bass.

Bottom line: Liam has shown infinite more patience than I would. When (not if) Hope finally successfully pushes Liam back to Steffy (whether Steffy takes him back is another story), she has no one to blame but herself. Also, if Liam is back with Steffy and Phoebeth's identity is finally revealed, what judge is going to award custody to unstable Hope? The woman who pushed her own husband away. If I were a judge, I'd see that Phoebeth is with a mother who has raised her since infancy and also now has a father who can be more physically present (not saying under the same roof) and is more psychologically and emotionally well-adjusted.  Seems like a no-brainer to me.

Not saying that's the way that I wish this will all play out, but that seems to be the logical conclusion, given the direction this story line is headed. God help poor little Douglas to have crazy and crazier (which Hope will be if she ends up with that psycho Thomas) as parents.

I do have a feeling that Hope's hesitation at the end of the show today was just so she could collect her thoughts and emotions and reassure Liam that she had no intention of leaving him for "Tom." And, Hope still needs very intensive therapy and probably temporary medication for the PPD.

I do not care at all about Wyatt and Flo and could the writers drop any more anvils about how Wyatt is going to lose it when he finds out that Flo has not been "honest and transparent?" Was he being "honest and transparent" when he and Katie were sneaking around behind $Bill's back after Bill "freakin' forbade" Batie to continue? Or, when Wyatt was pursuing Hope at the very beginning, knowing full well that she was in a relationship with Liam? I thought so.

I'm sick of dopey mopey Hope and couldn't believe she just stood there and let Thomas spew his crap.  And Liam is trying too hard to be reasonable and is too nice.  His daddy would have ripped Thomas a new ass hole.

I’m 70 years old (but feel like I’m 35) so I remember the soaps of the old days. Those were the days when we womens needed our mens to take care of us and rescue us (or so everyone seemed to think). I do love a nice gentleman to open my door, pull out my chair and drive me home. I’ll admit that. However! I am sick and tired of Hope Logan being such a namby, pamby, whiny, can’t cope with anything outside the millionaire life I was raised in by the mom. She just makes me sick now and I hope she’ll leave with Tom to go to Paris and disappear forever. I did at one time like this character. No longer and never again.

When Liam found out the exponentially less deceptive lie Rick told Hope way back when, he gave him a square hit right on the jaw. Thomas deserved a punch for sure. Preferably a bit further south in the hopes that he won't be able to produce more children to manipulate his next victim with.

Wyatt, oh Wyatt honey. You are this close to being dead to me.  Sally has been gone less than 24 hours and you're about to jump Flo because you think you should explore your feelings?  Because Flo is so honest and will never lie to you?  I don't want to see this happen but you are going to be crushed flat when you find learn Flo's Phoebeth Secret.

My hunch is Flo is going to tell Wyatt the truth and beg him to forgive her and keep her secret.  And Wyatt, besotted as he is trying to recapture his lost high school love, will probably hesitate a while before he spills all, if he does.

I want someone to punch "Tom" (TM Liam) in his very punchable beady-eyed face. Maybe even punch him more than once.  Tom will probably whine to Cray Tay about getting Liam away from Hope and back with Steffy and the girls, so Tom can slither in and marry Hope.

I fully expect Cray Tay to enlist Sludge's help to break up Lope. Sludge may also prey on her grief and tell her to stop thinking of herself but consider Douglas and "the girls".  I mean, if you're Sludge who cares about Hope's happiness when you can guilt trip her into giving up her marriage and the man she has only and always loved so that your entitled brats can have what they want.

It would be very soapy goodness if Flo spilled the whole Phoebeth story at the Tope wedding right at the "does anyone know..." part.  Zoe could try to stop Flo from talking screeching that she promised to protect Dr Shady Brady. Wyatt could look gobsmacked and then angry. Tom could argue that it doesn't make any difference because Douglas still needs a mother. Sludge could back up that argument. Brooke could squinty eye Sludge.  Liam could look over the moon that Phoebe is really his daughter. Quinn could be embarrassed. Steffy could realize her daughter is a victim of human trafficking,  etc, etc, etc.

The wedding of course will be at Brooke's house and everyone will be there, even those who have no reason to be. The wedding day drama could play out over weeks of screen time.  End result = Liam and Hope remarry, because it's already a wedding, while Hope is holding Beth.

There could then be the "Tom the crazy stalker" SL  where he kidnaps Hope because he still needs a mother for Douglas.  Sally could help in the Hope rescue promising Tom she'll be Douglas' mother. The whole thing very dramatic on the FC roof. Tom holding Hope at knife point, Sally telling him it's ok she'll go with him and Douglas and they'll be a family. Wyatt and Liam grabbing Tom while Sally pulls Hope and Douglas out of the way.

Lots of fall for couples and others as Lope reunite with their daughter. Wyatt kicks Flo to the curb. Quinn give Shauna what for when she finds out she knew the Phoebeth secret. Possible end of Bridge as Brooke reams Sludge a new one for tormenting Hope with guilt. Quinn has to apologize to Sally. Zoe is fired from FC, Charlie escorts her from the building. Flo is fired from FC and has to grovel to Hope and her aunts and work to regain their trust and a place as a Logan.  Wyatt and Sally find their way back to each other, maybe, after months and months of work.

Why do I have the sick fear Thomas obsession with Hope will lead to him trying to take advantage of her and Flo will save her, which will usher Flo’s forgiveness arch when the truth comes out?

I haven't been watching for a while so I'm grateful to all the people who bite and bullet and watch for me.  As for @Country girl, I don't have any words to describe how AMAZING (well that's one) your recap was!  Why you're not on a plane bound for LA to write for this travesty of a show is beyond me.

There's talk that JMW is demanding that Hauxdilox move on from Liam but it seems that SC has done some demanding too.  His confrontation with Thomas sounds like a thing of beauty.  Scott Clifton is the reason why I've never completely given up on Liam.  He's always kept Liam's core of decency and even when he was in the depths of Hauxdiloxland, I always knew that the decent, vegan, computer-nerd was buried somewhere inside.  People talk about supercouples and I think Liam and Hope are one.  They started out really young and made a lot of mistakes.  They were both distracted by shinier, flashier objects but their love never died.  I'm happy that Liam is going to fight for his marriage and won't allow his wife to be preyed on by a sociopath.

I understand that a lot of people want Hope to move on.  But as someone who has suffered from depression for most of her life, it just doesn't work that way.  I've lost friends because they were tired of me being such a drag and wanted the funny, interesting person they knew to return.  I did too but I was in a deep, dark hole and i didn't know how to get out.

I've never had a child so I can't imagine what it must be like to lose one but I can't imagine that it's something that you get over easily.  Viewers might want to see Hope kicking ass and taking names but she's mentally ill right now.  She has a sociopath using her grief and depression to manipulate her.  And NOBODY in her life is insisting that she get the medical care she DESPERATELY needs.  It might not be good tv, but I'm kind of glad that Hope is STILL a drag.  Just standing there, unable to say anything is what a depressed woman would do and I think that AN is making the right decision with her performance.

It would be nice if, after kicking Thomas' ass, Liam took a good look at his wife and made an appointment with a qualified mental health professional (which means NOT TAYLOR).  Let her work out her grief so she and Liam can face their future together.  And THEN let Wyatt find out, tell his brother AND his father and Liam can collect his daughter and bring her home and $Bill can drop a building on EVERYONE involved in the human trafficking of Phobeth.

@mightysparrow, thank you for your very personal and thought-provoking post and it took you a lot of courage to state your truth.  You are absolutely right about how immobilizing depression (and its equally nasty cousin, anxiety, can be).  In that regard, I think AN is doing a fantastic job in portraying Hope's anguish.

I also hope to no end that JMW puts her foot down and Eggo Sr. no longer has to face being returned to the toaster for some cha-cha-cha!

I'm hating this soap more and more. I'm to the point where I'm just going to say crap I've felt and let her rip since I might be saying adios to this clusterf*ck of a show.

1. Hope is a dunce.  Find it hard to believe that the daughter of the town's senior loudmouth whore can't find her voice.  Write a storyline where she gets some good therapy and starts being well.  This depression angle is getting old.  I've had it and let's be real, after awhile people just get weary of seeing/hearing the struggle all.the.time.  Ding, ding - times up on that.

2. Liam is a little shit. Why women want to mate with this wormy guy is beyond me. Oh well.

3.  Wyatt, please, get this man a hairstyle where he doesn't look like his finger is in an electrical socket.

4. Get the picture of Bill off his desk or wherever the hell it is.  Why not just have him sit in his chair staring at himself in a hand-held mirror?  Dumb, dumb, dumb.

Bring back Pam and her lethal lemon bars scheme as the current storyline is beyond stale, dull and done to death. I rather watch her lose her nut again and go after someone, anyone.

As someone who's struggled with depression and anxiety, I fully agree with all of this. The insanely poor writing and repetitive dialogue really does not do this illness justice, but I have no issue with the fact that Hope has not just gotten over it in the blink of an eye.

And just because Hope "pushes" Liam away is no reason for him to go back to Steffy the skag that fucked his FIL (and is responsible for much of the turmoil in his life over the last decade). He could still be involved with the kids without marrying her.

I see where you're getting at, but for me, the thing about a super couple that they lacked until just this year was the time together for anyone to be invested. They'd break up with one another and get back together in three month cycles that made it hard for anyone to get invested or care, especially when 90 percent of the the case being made came from someone other than Hope and Liam stands there for two full episodes with fewer lines than Hope had this week.

I'm glad the show is committing to this pairing and that I finally got to see them work off one another, still. It's what they are deserve.

I actually would love for Liam to make that clear. Everyone is treating it as a foregone conclusion that if Hope leaves him to make a family for Douglas with Thomas, that he'll automatically go back to Steffy. Given his history, I understand that, but I'd love for him to lay it out for her: He wants to be married to her. She can make the choice to leave him, and he can't stop that but he does have autonomy, and even if they divorce, he will not return to Steffy. He'll continue to coparent with her, but he wont repeat mistakes of the past and marry someone when he's in love with someone else. And that, frankly, he has too much respect for Steffy to do that to her (especially given how important it's become to Steffy not to be like Taylor ever since she had Kelly) and if all of these other people truly loved and respected Steffy, they wouldn't want that for her either. So Hope can break up their family, but she should be real clear eyed that she won't be doing it to give Kelly and Phoebe a nuclear family because that's not happening.

That's very kind of you.  Mental illness is so easily dismissed and ignored until something terrible happens and then everyone says, 'why didn't somebody notice?'  The signs are usually right there.

It's a soap opera and so it's going to silly.  And its B&B, so it's going to be criminally insane.  But I think the show has a duty to it's viewers to at least try and deal with issues like mental illness with at least a pinch of responsibility.

I agree that AN is doing a great job.  I was very skeptical when she first joined the cast, partly because I missed KM.  But AN has made the part her own and developed a fantastic chemistry with SC.  I agree with @Anna Yolei that we've never really had a chance to see Liam and Hope together until now.  I guess I was a fan of the POTENTIAL of the couple.  Now that they are together, it would be fifty shades of wrong to break them up, especially to put Liam with a woman who fucked his father and lied to his face and to put Hope with a sociopath.

Hauxdilox was allowed to have her I AM WOMAN moment when she turned $Bill down.  Are we really going to go back to the Dark Ages and have a man prey on a mentally ill woman and get away with it?  Isn't it enough that half of Los Angeles has conspired to keep Hope's child away from her?

I totally agree. It's not fun television but the acting is spot-on. I see AN playing Hope in crisis. She's manic at times and dead-eyed at others. She goes through a range of emotions in that confrontation between Liam and Terrible Tom, but still terrified and broken through it all. And she's trying to grasp for things - ANYTHING - that might pull her out of the pit she's in, but nothing works because what she really needs is time and mental healthcare. Well, and to have her goddamn daughter returned.

I doubt Bell or the writers have really given the SL much thought beyond let's make Hope think her child is dead.  They like to try and write these OMG shock moments, but they don't like to deal with the consequences or fall out.

When the truth comes out, and it should have already happened, this should be when Hope gets to put the epic smackdown on all of the despicable people who didn't tell her the truth, from the people who stole her baby in the first place to the people who found out and didn't tell Hope immediately.  Instead there will be get out of jail free cards for everyone.  Maybe one person will get held accountable, but I doubt it.

OMG, when is this story line going to move along? And why in the HE** is Denise Richards or whatever her name is, on this show? She is an even worse "actor" than Wayne Brady....

I wish I would have gone to school to become a doctor so I could give botox injections - I could have been kept busy 24/7, and then some, working on the B&B - maybe it's written in their contracts that they all have to have injections that make them look so stupid. @Ohwell, that's exactly what I predict will happen. I'd say by the end of summer, if Flo & Shauna actually move in, Shauna & Eric will be sneaking around to be together.

I'm not hating Liam lately; he actually seems to be committed to Hope. I've always thought Hope was the one for Liam, but he did have a sort of pull to Steffy. It was severed beyond repair when Steffy jumped on the $tallion, though, & he's completely in for Hope, finally. I also love him calling Thomas "Tom". It's like Victor calling Billy "Billy Boy", or Bill calling Ridge "the dressmaker". It's just a blatant sign of disrespect, & I say props to Liam for that. I personally think he should refer to him as "my cousin's rapist", but "Tom" is acceptable since we can't have that.

OMG, Quinn, could you BE any more of a hypocrite? Yes, Sally lied, & yes, she lied about Liam, which bothered Wyatt. You know what else bothered Wyatt? When his mother kidnapped his brother, while he had amnesia, & spent months raping him & keeping him hidden. I'm thinking Sally isn't the worst woman in Wyatt's life, & a good reminder of that wouldn't be the worst thing.

Finally, the most interesting part of this Wyatt/Quinn/Flo/Shauna quadrangle, is why did Wyatt & Quinn have to up-&-leave in the middle of the night, with no warning, & never contact Flo & Shauna again? That's the story we should explore, not Wyatt reconnecting with his first love, which we all know isn't going to end well once her role in PhoeBeth's kidnapping is revealed.

At least, Hope stood up for her husband. Of course, Tom isn’t giving up so I predict that he’ll kidnap her, take her to a cabin to play mommy to Douglas and wifey to him. That guy is just nasty and sick. I hate this whole story line. Please make it stop!!

I really don't like this suburban biker chick outfit Quinn's been wearing for several episodes now. IMO she doesn't look as hot in it as she seems to think she does. That might be a look better suited for a younger woman.

When Wyatt and Flo started kissing on Friday it was still bright outside. Today it was dusk. How long had they been standing there making out, lol? They must have cores of steel.

Of course Flo and Shauna are moving into Eric's house. It was either that or Brooke's place. All these shameless freeloaders. 😐

"Mommy Hope"? AFAIC, Thomas is EVIL to be manipulating his defenseless child like that.

I agree.  She's trying too hard and it's unnecessary because she's a good-looking woman who doesn't need to look like a ride or die chick with Hell's Angels.

@mightysparrow, thank you for sharing and speaking your truth. There is still such a stigma about mental illness and depression and it's not just something you can turn off like a faucet.

This show gets so many, many things wrong here but Hope's affect is something they have gotten right and while I hate the baby swap storyline, at least this rings true to real life.

The writers seem to be going for Thomas being a creepy stalker (which he is), but I wonder if they realize the irony that other characters have done the same thing Thomas is, however, with them they were in love, soulmates, destiny, whatever lame excuse they wanted to spout at the time.

Shauna and Flo moving into the Forrester mansion is the ultimate of stupidity. Of all of the actresses available in LA, they picked Denise Richards?! She’s just awful. To switch topics, does anyone else think Hope looks cross eyed sometimes? I find her eyes very distracting and it takes me out of her scenes. At least, that’s kind of interesting unlike the same dialogues over and over and over and over.

Lol, what was that goofy dance Will did for Bill?

Oh please. If Bill spent the rest of his life with every woman he married he'd have developed a taste for Fancy Feast. Because he'd have already had at least three lives.

So is Shauna going to get a job at FC too or is she just going to lounge around the Forrester estate eating peeled grapes, watching soap operas, and wearing Quinn's clothes?

Katie, you are so silly. How do you expect Bill to be faithful to you when you are not committed to him? Imagine if he pulled such a ridiculous test on you.

Seriously, as much shit as I give Brooke for never maturing past 25, it seems to be more maturity than Katie is capable of. Is she never going to move past being the acne-riddle teenager who got stood up for prom?

I’ve had about enough of the Will is a middle aged accountant /yenta trapped in a little boy’s body. It’s not cutesy it’s weird and the No Country for Old Men hit man hair and slow talking doesn’t help.

Katie’s plan is stupid but all of her schemes have been idiotic. You plan to test a cheater with a woman who’s a social climber and who he’s had sex with?   How is it a test if we already know he will bang one of her relatives or in-laws since that’s what he does? Also the plot point driven dialogue is beyond idiotic. In what would would Brooke, a woman married to Bill and been called by HIM his soulmate dozens of times, insist Katie pursue him? Even is Brooke felt she and Bill were dunzo, old news, and platonic she’d have to wonder about the depth of his “love” or if he Katie were truly meant to be.

Yes, she does look cross eyed sometimes.

Are TIIC trying to emulate Young Sheldon with Will?  Will is getting very annoying.

Flo being a Logan, dating Wyatt, and now moving at the Forester Estate will blow Zoey’s mind.

I get where Katie is coming from. One way or another she will have Bill by the balls. But Shanna will not be the be all end all. I would imagine if Stuffy did the dance of the 7 vails, Bill would be all in.
