Where's Tombstone in relation to all that? (Not that I want to see people re-create the gunfight at the OK Corral. I just want to see the architecture and be in that place because I love history.) I've been wanting to get her to the Grand Canyon for some time. She probably wouldn't be that jazzed about LV, but I think it would be neat to go back there again for a few days. (I'm not a gambler. Again, architecture and non-gambling fun - like ziplining!) Plus, if we're driving the whole thing, it might put us in a good place to go to places like Virginia City and other boom/ghost towns and swing up through Colorado for the national parks there (Sand Dunes, Mesa Verde, Pike's Peak, and so on).

Tombstone is all the way south; the GC is all the way north (about 400 miles apart).  It's moderately interesting, but it's mostly a bunch of tourist shops (except you can still tour the Birdcage Theater, which is VERY historic).  

And LV is a zipliner's dream.  Two easy ziplines on Fremont Street (one of which you are laying out flat on your stomach like Superman.  They've shown the Fremont Street zipline on Sisterwives.  We also did the zip at the top of the Rio hotel, but we hated it.  Then there is an awesome - but taxing - course outside of tow in Boulder City.  You have to walk over a half mile uphill to get to the first zip.  But the views are spectacular, and the staff is wonderful.

Ahhh, well. Wouldn't be any Tombstone for me, then. I'm not driving 400 miles when I'm not even planning on spending more than 4 hours there to begin with. And especially not when there's nothing else to go see or do near there! I can go to Deadwood, which is much closer to home and much closer to lots of other stuff. Besides, I could probably spend two or three days at the Grand Canyon and still wish I had more time. So, why waste it going to Tombstone? Best part of Tombstone would be the Birdcage. Now, if I could spend some time there ghost hunting? That would make it more worthwhile.

There's tons to do here besides gambling. Definitely the zipline in BC, there's also skydiving across the highway and rafting/kayaking on the Colorado River below Hoover Dam. You don't even need to set foot in the valley to find stuff to do.

Well, since I'm a river guide in the Grand Canyon, I can give one heck of a tour from the rim! And like @TurtlePower said, there is some excellent rafting below the dam. Or there is the Hualapai day trip in the lower Grand Canyonfrom Diamond Creek down to Quartermaster Depot, where they helicopter you out.

If there is another season, gotta get a viewing party together sometime.

Okay, so I have never heard of this LLR stuff, even though I wear leggings quite often at home. However I have a serious llfelong hatred of prints of any kind, let alone prints that scream "preschool lunchbox on crack," so I am not exactly their target audience...

Anyway, I looked on EBay, where most of the LLR leggings are unbid-upon and priced under ten bucks. The irony is that a single pair of "rare black LLR leggings" has 15 bids and is up to $52.

Perhaps they need to rethink the stupid prints?

LLR vendor shows are fairly popular because each consultant has different merchandise essentially so they're not really competing against each other (except someone might have BETTER inventory).  I still don't know any regular shows that will allow more than one LLR vendor but quite often consultants will come together and hold a giant LLR show.

The answer to this question is, unfortunately, a big NO. Grapefruit is toxic to dog's because of the essential oils and psoralens this citrus fruit contains (both of which can be very dangerous to dogs), and should hence not be given to dogs as food.

What gets me are the zombie follower responses. Mutually beneficial relationship, the "star" gets fawned over and the fan gets attention.

When I went years ago I was astounded how SMALL that place was.  Claustrophobic small.  I found the town a bit disappointing.  I was warned but all in all I was glad I finally got to see it.  Not worth driving out of the way to see it in my opinion.  If its on the way, sure!

OMG, it looks like there are two Meris in that outfit.  What happened to her?  Even her arms look puffy.  I am not fat shaming.  I have my own issues.  Just that she looks different.

To be fair, I think a little bit of the problem with that photo is the angle, but that is a very small part of the issue.  Once when I had gained enough weight to be noticeable, a friend who hadn't seen me in a while told me later that she figured I was either very happy or very unhappy (she was right).  Makes me think of Meri, and I'd guess she's unhappy.

I'm not active on Twitter, but based on what I've seen here, if I didn't know about the program Sister Wives, I would think that both Meri and Janelle were single, lonely, unhappy women.  Actually, I think that except for when they pretend for the cameras, that description fits them both.

We've been getting quite a few LLR  items in at the thrift store where I volunteer.  We're selling them at three, four dollars a piece.  Seeing them close up, I'm convinced that's even too much.

If I knew how to copy from one thread to another I would find a picture of the commitment ceremony dress.  This is a person who wore a dress at least 2 sizes too small and didn't bother with the proper undergarments.

As you said, the dress is too small.  Way too small.  I don't think it's the angle either.  Meri has really bad taste in clothes.  LLR is a perfect fit.

One of the main complaints of LLR consultants is oversauturation of the market that resulted from on boarding thousands of consultants a week. Some areas have dozens of consultants in a smalll radius. I live in New England and had never heard of LLR before Meri but my understanding is that it's very popular in Mormon communities in Utah and Nevada. Meri may be traveling to broaden her reach to less saturated markets and get more business. It may be a wasted effort as it seems that LLR as a company is a shinking ship.

THAT is what she needs to invest in.  A good pair of spanx or knock off brand.  Nothing to do with her actual size but certain fabrics (like that one) show every single bump.

I was just going to post that, about the commitment ceremony dress.  She just loved it, and I wish SOMEONE had dared to be honest with her that she needed to go up at least 2 sizes!  She must be looking in funhouse mirrors that make her appear skinny?

Shining example of what not to wear. All. Wrong.  Meri's complexion and olive green don't blend well and it's obviously too tight.  Janelle's dress was also terrible; the satiny blue was completely wrong for her and the construction looked like an old, recycled, cheap prom dress from the 80s. Janelle would have looked great in a dusty pink, non-satiny tailored dress, maybe similar to Christine's style.

Christine and Robyn looked nice, their dresses were a good fit. What happened to the other two? Did they not have mirrors?

@TurtlePower the whole plot was that the wives were going to have their dresses custom made by a college student.  Janelle and Christine wore theirs (ugh) but Robyn just happened to have the perfect dress in her closet that she wore instead.

I know the camera adds pounds but I noticed Meri's arm looked a bit puffy during one of her videos on facebook (plus it looked as if she was wearing shorter sleeve shirt as well...Yay for throwing modesty out the window).

Maybe all that traveling for pop ups Meri is doing has led to a poor diet and weight gain.

I'd forgotten about that. Guess it doesn't need to be said.........bad idea. Janelle's especially looked like a beginner sewing project.

She appears a little heavier to me but it seems they all gained weight when they moved to LV. I suspect they were all more active in Utah and without all the restaurants and garbage food that the LV area has.

That's the exact same fabric I used to make my daughter's bridesmaids gowns in 1986.  I did a really nice job on the gowns, and the sizes ranged from an 8 to a 16.  They had puffy sleeve caps, but they were SUPPOSED to.  But to be honest, they did not photograph well.  Too much shine.

Having said that, Janelle's was not a problem with the photography.  It was just badly made.  Very badly.  And the college student they hired - wasn't she in the school's design program?  She may have been okay with drawing pictures of what they wanted, but her execution was worse than terrible.

I think so too. We've gone 'round and 'round about Meri and trying to figure out what she wants in life, but maybe all this touring is what she needs to break away from the whole mess.

OK ladies, we had our school spring fair yesterday and there were 2 LLR booths.  I was manning the bake sale table right across the aisle for one and I got to watch it ALL day.

My overwhelming reaction: IT IS A RIDICULOUS AMOUNT OF WORK.

The woman was super nice and upbeat, and was doing an OK amount of business, but boy she must be in it for a ton of money. Not just on inventory, of which she had a ton, but also STUFF. She essentially set up an entire clothing store and then broke it down again, she had tons of rolling rods, shelving, storage, HUNDREDS of velvet hangers, etc. Lots of display stuff like dress forms, etc. I can't imagine how much she has spent on this stuff.

Observations:  All the consultants, friends and family members who came by are significantly overweight. (No judgement: So am I) I think thats a part of the appeal, it's like tacit approval for fat ladies like me to wear leggings, LOL.

The patterns on the whole were fairly attractive. A few I would go so far as to call cute or pretty. Some were ugly but not heinous. A small amount were hideous. I think they would do better with more solids so you could do a solid top w a print legging. The 2 ladies I shopped had a lot of solid dresses and those awful dusters, but not just tunics. 

The leggings are super soft.  I asked about holes. Both confessed it has been a problem but reassured that you would get a replacement if that happened, but I didn't press. 

Most of their customers seemed to know them already and they definitely shopped the others' inventory. One of them told me she personally owns SEVENTY pairs of leggings. OMG. 

I bought a pair of leggings with a pretty floral on black background, just to test drive and see. I also bought a cute baseball-style tunic top with grey body and coral 3/4 length sleeves. Will be cute with jeans. I don't have a lot of casual tops.

When I purchased, the lady and her crew ooh'ed an aahh'ed that it was my "first LuLa" and said "Get ready to be addicted!" 

I think not.
