Her shirt/blouse/whatever was a solid purple (not a dark purple, kind of a medium purple). She was wearing a skirt that was sort of pink, sort of salmon in color, that had 6 horizontal black stripes on it. The stripes were paired, such that two stripes would be about an inch apart from each other, then there'd be about 4 inches between each pair of stripes. Underneath that, she had black leggings on and these funky shoes similar to the ones she wore in the trolley picture, except they were black instead of whatever color those other ones were supposed to be. A private Facebook group dubbed “LuLaRoe Defective” has more than 11,000 members, and many say the quality of the company’s products is slipping. “My husband now does ‘legging checks’ to make sure my butt doesn’t have holes before I leave the house,” wrote Jess Dove, a member of the group. “Yes, it’s a way for him to admire my assets, but too many times it was actually needed.” Said another consumer on Facebook, “I have only bought [LuLaRoe] in the past month, and everything has gotten holes. Every legging is a different size, some fabrics feel ultra thin, some thicker. Some are improperly sewn. But all have ripped.” LuLaRoe will buy back inventory from unhappy representatives on a case-by-case basis, the source close to the company said. Still, LuLaRoe’s record addressing consumer concerns has earned it an “F” rating from the Better Business Bureau for ignoring consumer complaints. Some LulaRoe salespeople say they’ve been inundated with returns from unhappy customers, leading the reps to seek refunds from the company for defective merchandise. One rep said she has sought a refund from LuLaRoe for nearly a year for roughly a dozen different products, to no avail. LuLaRoe claims to take an average of four to 10 business days to process these requests. In a related problem, the company has made it harder to get refunds, refusing to accept returned merchandise that was torn after being worn or washed once, according to three sales reps. It's becoming common knowledge that their clothes fall apart and you can't get your money back. Eventually even their most ardent fans will find another place to buy ugly leggings because they will get tired of throwing away their money away on britches that split up the ass when you bend over to tie your shoe. In fact, their Income Disclosure Statement will tell you this, just not in plain language. When ~85% of the US consultants never receive a single commission check from the company, and when the majority of those earning commission checks are earning commissions of $500 or less in any single given month, then you know they're not making any money. MLM's are required to publish an Income Disclosure Statement every year. So, if you know anyone who's thinking about getting involved in one, encourage them to find this and really pay attention to it. And if the MLM is new, they won't have this and so will have to make up their own minds as to whether to get involved. Personally, I wouldn't get involved in any MLM, though. You get a much nicer shine with fewer imperfections. It's also excellent for applying Rain-x to your windshield. Those leggings might be buttery soft when they're touching your skin, but I'm pretty sure your car isn't going to appreciate them as much.
