Season 6: Unseen Moments

I didn't see a topic for this, I hope it's alright to start one.

These are often my favorite episodes, because they show some very real shit. A lot of breaking-the-fourth-wall type stuff. It was absolutely hilarious when Jenelle and Nathan were fighting and he kept demanding to be put on speaker, when he was already ON speaker. That little argument really made it seem like Nathan cares very much about his image while filming. I wish they would undercover film him, because I have a feeling there's a whole other side of Nathan we haven't even seen yet, and that's scary.

It was also hilarious that Jenelle blamed hacking when Nathan had suspicions she was talking to Keefuh again. It's always hacking.

But wow, that fight on the phone with Barb was almost worse than the one in the actual season. Jenelle is just so disgusting to me. To flip out over a freaking movie. My guess is that she told Jace she would take him to see Spongebob and kept putting it off for weeks and weeks. Because she has Kaiser. And school. And social media. And she's got to squeeze those panic attacks in there somewhere. So Jace kept bugging and bugging and Barb finally took him herself. Then two days later Jenelle's all, "I'm ready to take him to the movie now".

So then she flips out and once again tries to remind Barb that she's ONLY the grandmother, and Jenelle is the real mom. No. Just no. You are an egg donor. That's all. And Barb never "set you up". That has to be the most ludicrous thing I've ever heard. I don't have the greatest memory, but all that I recall from those early days was Jenelle sleeping, partying, and bailing on her kid. Barb was exhausted and frustrated and concerned for her grandson. She wasn't trying to "steal" him away from Jenelle. And Jenelle even admitted that Jace would have ended up in foster care if not for Barb! So quit trying to push buttons when you're pissed, because the shit that comes out of your mouth is completely baseless and vile.

Also, please don't use Kaiser as a litmus test for your amazing mothering skills. He isn't even a year yet. We have no idea how "fine" he's going to turn out to be. He's already witnessed a fit so bad the cops were called, and been jostled down the highway in the back of his dad's truck as you and Nathan play reverse tug-of-war with him. Somehow I think if a study was ever done, he would not be discovered to be "the world's happiest baby". So please, take a seat.

Chelsea cracks me up. I loved when the host asked if she sympathizes with Adumb at all, over his claims that he's being raked through the mud - and Chelsea was all, "Nope". He truly DOES bring that shit on himself. Newsflash Adumb - when you get multiple DUIs and wreck your car and are a general danger to society, you are going to jail and lose your license and your life is going to suck. You reap what you sow. Don't sit there and whine about $6/day for your ankle bracelet and $4/pee test. Who should be paying that? The tax payers? I certainly didn't flip your car over, so I'll be damned if I'm going to foot the bill for making sure you're no longer a menace to society. Stupid fucker.

But Chelsea doesn't like ice cream? I'm not sure how I feel about that.

Leah totally didn't get the 30 second question game. All of her answers were so slow and drawn out. Or she was high.

Very interesting to find out that Germy is allergic to oranges. And Leah finds it appropriate to eat one 2 feet from his face and laugh about it. I can see what that marriage failed.

I loved when the host asked them about getting called out for parenting mistakes and Leah immediately starts talking about the girlses getting out of their carseats. She was all, "You can't look back every five minutes, it's dangerous". Um yea, YOU definitely can't, because you're always looking at her phone. She was texting and driving in the scene last night, after picking Ali up from Miranda! You could totally tell. It's a wonder those girls have survived this long.

I did empathize with that parenting moment of Kail's, though. Isaac reminds me a lot of my oldest son. He is very sensitive. I guarantee you I've had a moment exactly like that in my life - where he hurt one of his younger siblings and I overreact a bit and shut down playtime, and he runs off, feeling horrible. It sucks. You're so worried about the other kid, but you don't mean to make the older one feel bad. I was glad to see she admitted she handled that situation wrong. The boys are so cute together!

Yea, but I bet that's the only fruit she eats and does it solely for the reaction from her allergic husband. I'll even bet she never knew "orange" was anything but an acceptable nail color until she heard Germy mention that he's allergic to them.

That sounds about right. She did seem to take a cruel amount of delight in watching him cringe away from her.

Chelsea had the best line of the night when she said Kail’s stripper name should be Farrah.

Leah kind of got the sympathy edit.  Jeremy has to kick stuff out of the way to get into the house where there are piles of clothes everywhere and then gets put down by the host for not helping.  I agree that men should help, but Leah’s a SAHM who doesn’t have two of her three kids part of the time and they’re in school part of the time.  I think she can find the time to put some clothes in a drawer.  She trashed Corey at the nail salon and she trashed Miranda at her Grandma’s.  There were kids present both times just as  Corey and Miranda said.  I did enjoy seeing Jeremy standing in front of a sign in their house that read, “And they lived happily ever after…..”    One of the editors must have a great sense of humor because we all know how that turned out.

POSITIVELY GOLDEN!!! Maybe best line in the history of the entire franchise! I also loved everyone's reaction.

Why wasn't Leah asked if she has gone off for a week to help Jeremy at his job? These guys really get the short end of the stick with these damn hosts. Leah's job is being at home. I think Leah thought someone would come in and wash the clothes for her when she paid top dollar for her super duper shuttle washer. My god, I have a young relative just like Leah in that she rarely washes clothes. In her mind, it is faster and easier to just go buy new ones. I kid you not. I can't tell you how many times I have gone to visit and all I see are clothes - clean and dirty - all over the place. Why do people live like that?

Leah had to mention that of course. Wasn't the filming of this special around that time when she was pulled over by the police and questioned about the kids being in seat belts? Her response sounded so rehearsed as if she had that ready to use for the appropriate question. And yes, Leah was looking down at her phone while driving. Then, Jenelle pops in with her answer about how dangerous it is to turn one's head around when talking to the kids or making sure they are ok in the back seat. I got news for you Jenelle. If something is going on in the backseat that needs your attention, you PULL OVER you stupid twat.

Oh, gotta love the answers to the question about if the girls feel like people change up their behaviors for the camera. Kail, of course, has to mention Jo not calling or doing Facetime. Oh wow.  Hey Kail. That works both ways. What does Kail do when Isaac is with Jo? Does she sit around and wait for Jo to call her? Does she take notes and cry her eyes out as each day passes that Isaac hasn't made any contact with her? Pick up your damn phone and call Isaac, you damn dependapotamus. As if Kail and Javi aren't playing up to the cameras. That is all they do.

Would steroid abuse cause one to be paranoid much like how it does to those who are addicts or alcoholics? Nathan was acting so paranoid about not being on speaker, even though it was proven to him that he was. He was so stuck on that. I have witnessed that kind of behavior from the addicts I dealt with in life. They would be so paranoid and adamant about something, and no amount of proof was ever good enough for them.

I liked seeing them break the 4th wall. I wish they had gone through with that for the whole season. It's just too fake otherwise.

All of Leah's clips were tragic and I hated how she had to throw in her usual petty jabs towards Corey and Miranda. A traveling cheer team for a 5 year old IS ridiculous and I can see why Corey doesn't like it. That clip where she was trying to get the girlses ready for something and they were late... Good lord Gracie goes from 0 to tantrum at lightening speed. I know she's a product of her environment but jeez I couldn't help but cringe at that. Little kids like her are the reason I'm on birth control.

Lol @ Jenelle trying to answer questions that are clearly aimed at the real mothers on the couch. We all know damn well she's not doing Jace or Kaiser's laundry.

I hated how Kail had to throw a jab at Jo for not facetiming Isaac except when they're filming. She's so hateful. I thought she really overreacted in the clip where Isaac accidentally hit Lincoln with the bat, he barely got hit and she acted like Issac did it on purpose. I felt so bad for him. Side note: Lincoln is SO CUTE. Far more adorable than I would have thought considering how odd looking his dad is.

Chelsea's clips were fun, she seems happy and Aubree seems happy. I still think she's annoying as hell but I can't snark much about what was shown.

Despite thinking the host was terrible, I enjoyed this episode.  All the girls were relaxed and pleasant and even looked nice!  I like how they seem to support each other.  The Farrah answer to the porn star name was hilarious because it was spontaneous.

The kid clips were adorable - I think Aubree did a pretty good makeup job on her mother!  Jake seemed like a typical five year old boy but Kaiser still seems to be a prop for Jenelle's life.   When Issac accidentally conked Lincoln in the head I made the exact same gasping sound at the same time as Kail. Poor little Issac felt so terrible he went and hid.

Just watching two minutes of Leah trying to wrangle those little girls while her husband stood and watched made me crazy.  I can't imagine not feeling overwhelmed with her life at her age.

Adam cannot get out of his own way. He's bitching about how badly he is portrayed on camera but doesn't seem to understand that they can't put it in the show if he doesn't do it.   He's worried about Aubree getting to high school and being 'teasesd' for being the kid in this show when he should be worried about her seeing how poorly he treated her mother for six seasons (and continues to trash her every chance he gets) and all the ways he blew Aubree off for whatever.

I was relieved to see that MTV stepped up to help Jenelle keep herself safe after that fight with Nathan.   I still think he's scary and dangerous and I was glad to see the MTV people actually involved do too.  I truly can see him killing her one day.

I'm glad they do these shows and break the fourth wall.  They are almost always my favorite too but they really need someone else to host it.  Nessa [one name only?  Really?]  was terrible.

On the Leah cheer competitions thing, Corey really should get a say as weekends are his time from memory he has them Friday-Monday 3 out of the 4 weeks so by Gracie doing Cheerleading he either has to give up his time with Gracie or travel himself, actually maybe that is why we did not see Ali going to the comp in the trash mobile from hell.

Did anybody else catch when Neesa?? went to the break before the segment on the producers needing to step in Leah put her head in her hands expecting for the segment to be about her.

Leah is a freaking space cadet, but I can kind of see where she's coming from in regards to Corey and Miranda not understanding the jealousy issues between the twinses. Miranda stopped to buy the brunette twin a happy meal and sent her into the van with the other two Chipettes. That's not cool in my opinion. You don't buy food for one child and not the others. Especially when the other child already feels like she's not as special as the others. She sent the girl in there with the holy grail of kids meals to a 6 year old, while her sisters are sitting there sharing a bag of Cheezits. What did she think would happen? I don't think Corey would have done that.

I wasn't paying that much attention to that scene so, I wasn't clear what was going on. Why is it Miranda only had Ali?

Just watching two minutes of Leah trying to wrangle those little girls while her husband stood and watched made me crazy.  I can't imagine not feeling overwhelmed with her life at her age.

It is hard for me to sympathize with Leah since she isn't feeling overwhelmed when it comes time to going around town looking for her drugs and any guy who will give her the time of day.  I will bet she isn't complaining then about how tired and stressed out she is as she had to go find someone to score her drugs from or how sleepy she is as she is in the arms of a guy who isn't Jeremy.

It would be far less hectic and overwhelming if Leah wasn't an addict. Parents, especially those who are SAHP, have to deal with a lot on a daily basis. The difference between those parents and Leah is, they do their job to the best of their ability and don't bring more children into an already stressful situation. Leah also has more than enough support in her life. There is no excuse for the chaos that is in her life and in her home. That is what comes with being an addict.

Yes, I did see when Leah put her head in her hands as she anticipated the next scene was going to show the producers having to intervene on her behalf. I wonder if she thought it had to do with that scene where the girls were left in Leah's jalopy? She probably was worried they were going to show exactly what happened prior to that "mother" stepping in to care for the kids.

Miranda only had Ali because she was bringing her back from her physical therapy appointment. I think it was when they first started the arrangement that Miranda would pick up the girls from school/take Ali to therapy some days.

I have issues with sympathizing with Leah because she has SO many opportunities for help. Corey and Miranda have said time and time again that if she's too overwhelmed, they'd happily take the girls. Plus she has her mom, her grandmother, her sister, Jeremy's mom, Corey's parents, and numerous friends who are all willing to help with the kids. Some mothers would kill for that kind of support system. It's her own pride that hurts her in the end because she won't admit she needs help.

I saw it! My guess is Leah was scared they were going to show when the MTV had to buy car seats for the girls because Leah "forgot"/didn't have them. (I think there's info about it on her thread.) Or maybe something worse. I hate to think of how many times MTV had to step in when a situation got dangerous with Leah (as well as how many times apparently no one has tried to stop her from driving while high).

Leah was high as can be in that last scene of her driving the girlses. I was so scared for everyone. I have a theory that Gracie picks fights/screams in the car as a defense mechanism to try to keep Leah awake when she's starting to do the opiate nod. It's a good survival strategy. I can't even imagine how Corey feels seeing the footage of her driving like that. And any normal grandparent would be scared, too (hello, Delta Dawn! How were you not scared watching your daughter drive high with her kids in the car?"!!!!

Nathan must be 1,000x worse in person if MTV producers are trying to have a come to Jesus talk with Jenelle and offering support/security. I'm guessing that played a part in Nathan's reduced screen time this season (besides the breakup). They didn't ever seem that concerned about Jenelle when she was with Keiffer or Gary. If Nathan is scarier than seeing Jenelle nodding off after Keiffer helps her shoot up..... The woman who is one of Jenelle's producers is really pretty.

Jenelle can stfu about Barb tricking her and conspiring to "take Jace." Bitch please. We saw your ass go out clubbing/partying all night and ignore your crying baby while you slept off a hangover. It's on tape on your 16&P episode and season 1 of TM. Again, it's on tape!!!! If Barb called CPS one night when you went out, she probably did it hoping you would be scared and get your act together....and you didn't. And good for Barb. We saw her beg Jenelle to either parent or place Jace for adoption with a good family, but Jenelle would do neither. Calling CPS when she refused to parent was the right thing to do. And let's talk to Kaiser in a few years before we say he's perfectly happy in your care. My guess is when he's old enough to remember his childhood, it's not gonna be a lot of good memories if he stays with Jenelle.

Leah can drop off the girlses with her mom, her sister, her cousin, grandma Sandy, and (for Addy, the only one she has full time) there's also Jeremy's family. We often hear "the girls are with so and so" at the beginning of her segments. As someone with no family very close by and family about an hour away that either work or are too elderly to help out, it's hard for me to not feel jealous of Leah's support - let alone have sympathy - for how overwhelmed Leah is, particularly when she has MTV money to pay someone to help her clean her house, do her laundry, babysit, etc.

(ETA: I have sympathy for Leah's situation that's so young with 3 young kids, one of whom has a disability. Being twice divorced with three children under six and one with special needs sounds like a nightmare to me. But when Leah wants sympathy for "no help/I do it all on my own" I just can't.)

Thanks for clearing that up for me.

As for the Happy Meal fiasco, since I didn't watch that scene very well, could it have been a Happy Meal with just maybe the toy or a few fries left over inside? It is possible Ali had already eaten most of her meal and just had a bit of leftovers inside. Also, how would Miranda know if Leah was going to have the two other girls with her? We all know Leah is always dropping the girls off at someone's house.  Leah was sleepy, obviously from getting her "prescription" for the day. I imagine she picked up the girls after doing her "errand" and then went to meet Miranda at the drop-off.

With regards to Leah being overwhelmed (I wish I had a dollar for every time Leah said it and for every time one of us typed that word out), I just have one more thing to add to what has already been mentioned by others. Leah does NOT have her kids 24/7. Cory and Miranda have them at least 3-4 days out of the week. That doesn't even count the hours that they spend at some relative's house during the three days that Leah has them in her "care".  There is no excuse for the laundry not getting done. I don't care that Jermy stood there and watched Leah. I'd be standing there watching her ass too, scratching my head and wondering why is it those 3-4 days that the girlses are not around and Baby Adderall is at grandma's house for hours on end, the clothes are not getting washed and why I was living in a pig sty.

It must be nice to play "mom" for 48 hours a week.

I said it in another thread, but if I were more technology savvy I would totally make a montage of Leah saying "so and so gas the girls while I _______"

I know it is was an auto-correct error but, that "gas" word has me in stitches!! I can totally hear drugged up Leah saying just that to one of her friends. Quck! Leah is gassing the girlses!

I agree. I think that's more reasonable come middle school, but for 5-year-olds to get up at the crack of dawn and be travelling around the state - all that pressure? No thanks. Plus, I hate seeing Gracie in those skimpy outfits and harsh makeup. Why not let her take a local tumbling class, just for fun, instead? I get that Leah wants Gracie to have something that's just hers, because of all the attention Ali gets, but I get some real stage mom vibes from Leah. Like she's trying to live vicariously through her kid. Gracie seemed like she wanted to take a nap at the nail place, like she could care less about cheer. And does Corey have no say in what activities his kids participate in? I don't think it's fair for Leah to sign their daughter up for something that would require him to go out of town on weekends without consulting him first.

Lol @ Jenelle trying to answer questions that are clearly aimed at the real mothers on the couch. We all know damn well she's not doing Jace or Kaiser's laundry.

Definitely not Jace's! What, does Barb drop him off for a weekend with a sack full of dirty clothes? Psssh.

No doubt. Plus, it's hard for me to sympathize with how hard she has it, because she brought it on herself. If it was just the twins, I'd have more sympathy. She made a foolish teenage mistake, lots of girls do. But most of them don't end up with twins, including one with a serious disability. My heart went out to her in those early days. But she didn't have to have another kid. She let Germy con her into that, and I almost think it was to get back at Corey in some way. To prove how committed she was to her new husband, since Corey didn't rush right back into her arms.

I'm not saying parents of multiples can never have more, or parents of children with disabilities should never have more. Every family has to decide what's right for them. But Leah was stressed enough as it is, and she intentionally took her IUD out to have another kid, so now she's even more stressed and I'm just like, "meh".

Also, girl has more help than anyone I've ever known. In every single episode there is someone there helping her - Germy (and, no, he doesn't stand around all the time. I've seen him doing hair before and helping out), her mom, her sister, crazy Grandma Sandy, Germy's parents, random friends, etc. And the twinses go to Corey's part of the week too! I think a lot of the stress is her own doing. Putting other things (drugs, dick) first and then having to scramble when she can no longer avoid her motherly duties.

No, my sympathy meter for this girl broke long ago.

I agree with the whole laundry conversation.  Plus it is a pet peeve of mine when people that generally do not like to do laundry/can't keep up with it act like it is impossible to do.  I have even seen moms in blogs use the excuse that spending time with their kids is more important, and in the end what kids will remember most is the time that you spent with them, not that you had a clean home and laundry done.

Really?  Yes, kids like time with parents, but they are forgetting the fact that many parents manage to pick up around the house and spend time with their kids.  These kids benefit from not living in a home that looks like a tornado took over, and they get time with their parents.  It drives me nuts the excuses people will make.

Honestly, I don't really care how other people keep home, as long as it doesn't look like an episode of Hoarders. I am a lot less OCD about my cleaning now that I have kids than I was before, because there's simply only so many hours in a day and I don't want to spend the majority of it cleaning. I also homeschool and do some light work from home, though. Anyhow, point being, I don't expect these homes to look like something out of a Martha Stewart magazine. But Leah's house often DOES get dangerously close to looking like a Hoarders house. Well, the car at least. There was one episode where Addy was playing in what looked like PILES and PILES of laundry. I actually started wondering if she was organizing a garage sale or something. I'm assuming that Leah's failure to keep up with the laundry attributes to them being late a lot, having to root through the piles to find something clean and matching. And the fact that the older two are in school now makes me give her even less of a pass. There's really no reason for that.

I hate doing laundry. I have a child. Further, I hate when I do a load of laundry and two of the items are mine and the rest are hubs and kiddo's.  That feels futile. It just happened last night.

However, JENELLE, laundry is part of adulting, which is not mutually exclusive with having fun.

I also dislike scrubbing toilets and washing floors and dishes.  However, I am not a life saving Medical Assistant and cannot afford full time domestic help, so I must resign myself to these duties in order to not live in squalor.  Well, my husband helps with the laundry Mostly because I threw a fit when our kiddo was about 2. But I still fold and put away! Anyway, I digress.

Laundry is not at the top of my list of hard things about parenting. That would probably be making sure my child is well prepared emotionally, intellectually, nutritionally, and financially for success (he's 4) while maintaining my own sanity and work balance. Because that's a rabbit hole.

Ehh. People's definition of cleanliness wildly differs.  My place is usually messy but I have a cleaner come in every other week (I hate cleaning so much that this is worthwhile expense even on my student budget), I minimally wipe down surfaces and organize every week, I do my laundry, but the clothes may not always make it into drawers. Do I have the cleanest house out of all my friends? No, but it's definitely not filthy. I am not ashamed to have people over though I may frantically try to straighten stuff around the living room if  I know will have people. My priorities are school, work, friends, and my hobbies. I don't mind a bit of mess and if someone does they can meet me in a coffee shop.

Am I the only one who loves doing laundry? I love seeing them go in wrinkled, wadded, and sweat-stained, and go in the drawers or closet wrinkle-free, clean, and pretty again. I make tons of laundry, too--I work out daily and skydive on the weekends (and I'm still a beginner so I land knees-first in the dirt a lot), plus have an office job where I have to look presentable. Not only that, the bulk of doing laundry is set and forget--then you come back 50 minutes later and fold for ten minutes. Yeah, it annoys me to do other people's laundry--I am happy that my boyfriend works from home because I wouldn't bother doing his office stuff. His t-shirts and shorts are easy enough, though. So maybe that's why people complain so much. If I had to do three small people's multiple changes of tiny clothing, missing socks, and weird stains, I'd probably hate it too.

I love how they all accused other people of playing to the camera when they are the worst offenders.  When Leah kept nodding off while driving, she exclaimed to nobody in particular (except the camera) that she had a headache, and that was the reason she couldn't keep her eyes open.  Sorry, Leah, but headaches don't cause people to fall asleep at the wheel.

Yea, but I bet that's the only fruit she eats and does it solely for the reaction from her allergic husband. I'll even bet she never knew "orange" was anything but an acceptable nail color until she heard Germy mention that he's allergic to them.

She probably saw them in the grocery store and said "Wow -- these are the same color as Cheetos!  I wonder if they taste like them, too."

I don't know if it was DIRTY laundry, or just random piles of clothes. I believe she made a comment while going through the piles that she needed to go through the piles later to figure out what she has (as opposed to saying she needed to CLEAN the clothes). Who the f knows what goes on in that household!

I thought it was porn star name.  It was hilarious, as were the reactions.

It was.  I goofed.  It still cracks me up though

I forgot to comment on Jenelle's freakout over taking Jace to the SpongeBob movie.  When my kids were his age they loved to watch the same movie over and over.  All she would have had to do is tell him she wanted to see the movie and invite him to go with her and he probably would have jumped at the chance  Sure, she wouldn't have been with him the first time he saw it, but it still could have been special and fun.   She really needs to quit making everything all about her.

That's the thing, I don't think Leah knows if those piles are clean or not! Remember how the twinses used to run around either topless or bottomless? That girl just HATES doing laundry. And now that we know the kids were hiding in the laundry room while the parents were fighting, I think it's safe to assume that Leah thought they were in there because Gracie was doing the laundry. So she just gave up altogether.

I agree with the whole laundry conversation. Plus it is a pet peeve of mine when people that generally do not like to do laundry/can't keep up with it act like it is impossible to do. I have even seen moms in blogs use the excuse that spending time with their kids is more important, and in the end what kids will remember most is the time that you spent with them, not that you had a clean home and laundry done.

And laundry is one of the easiest thing to do here in America. Try doing laundry in washing machine that doesn't squeeze the water out, you have to manually take all water soaked laundry out, squeeze and put it in new clean water and rinse and repeat few times, squeeze again and then hang it on line and wait for it to dry. After it dries you spend 3-5 hours ironing it and putting away. Only then you are allowed to complain. Something that takes here 15 minutes top of manual handling of laundry takes 8-12 hours (I don't count drying time). As a kid since I was 10 I had to help ironing, at first only sheets and towels but later as teen everything to help my mom. We later got automatic washing machine but you still had to iron as dryers were not even sold in Czechoslovakia back then (this was in 80s-90s). How I hated it LOL When I came to USA in 1998 and found out how easy it is to do laundry I was in awe! I can't imagine what Leah house would look like without help of modern technology. To be fair, when I was in college, places held hurricane parties whenever there were hurricane warnings.  They were fun as hell.

They are open to the public?

And the fact that the older two are in school now makes me give her even less of a pass. There's really no reason for that.

Exactly. That means less time that Leah has her girls. When the hell does Leah actually have the girls? At night when they are asleep in bed?  At this point, Kail and Chelsea should be seriously annoyed sitting with two other girls on a couch as they get to discuss the "struggles of being a mom." Forget the extra combat pay they are alleged to have wanted because Leah and Jenelle are a couple of fuck ups when it came to the reunion show. They should be paid extra for actually being mothers to their children.

Yeah, I won't ever spare any sympathy for Leah as far as Jeremy not lifting a finger to help her as she struggled in that unseen moment and other moments as well. He could have laughed and I wouldn't have cared. When the girl barely has the kids in her care, there are no excuses for not at least doing the laundry. Why the hell did she bother buying the washer and dryer for? To throw the clothes in there when company comes over?

On to the porn star name. Kail's porn star name should be Karl. Or Kail Kong. Or Dependapotamus.

I grew up in New Orleans and hurricane parties are definitely a thing. Category one-two hurricanes or tropical storms mean everyone gets off work/school (except first responders, etc, of course). People will go over to someone whose home has withstood stronger storms with booze, food, and bottled water and ride out the storm together (and have a little party). See: http://lyrics.wikia.com/wiki/Cowboy_Mouth:Hurricane_Party

I don't know about the coastal Carolinas, but it is definitely a thing in south Louisiana (particularly among college kids). Granted this practice has somewhat dwindled since Hurricane Katrina...it's kind of still too soon to have a "hurricane party," even for a category one storm.

And also, most of the people who have/attend hurricane parties don't have small children (looking at you, Jenelle) or other adult responsibilities. It's more common for the CHILDLESS younger/college aged adults than for MOMS of any age. And only idiots leave the hurricane party during the fricking storm (except maybe during the eye) or go out in the storm willingly. And idiots like that end up busting their chins and stuff (looking at you again, Jenelle). You're doing it wrong. In fact, you shouldn't be doing it at all since you have KIDS or at least a KID (Kaiser, since we know Jace's mom is Babs). Where was Kaiser during this hurricane party? I'd be a mess if there was a hurricane/flooding and I wasn't with my baby. I'd be even more of a mess if my baby was with Nathan during the hurricane.

If you want to keep doing fun and reckless stuff that many young, childless people do in their early 20s, you and Nathan really should consider placing Kaiser with parent(s) that actually want to parent, Jenelle.

I'm from Houston and we had hurricane parties too. During Ike it was a running joke that people would play a drinking game where they took a shot every time the people on the news said "hunker down".

But yeah jenelles priorities are all sorts of messed up, I'm guessing Nathan or his mom had the roll, I was just thinking how messed up it is that within that relationship I would consider Nathan the more responsible parent, what fresh hell is this?
