What does that have to do with anything? Did Michael become successful in those jobs or did he just sit around and collect a check? Michael wanted a job, got one, and is successful in it. Many people are given an opportunity. It's what you do with it that matters.

I'm gonna respond in the Quartermaine thread.

I think Micheal is subconsciously blaming Sonny for his rape and rightfully so. He's not saying it because it would mean dealing with it. When you see Micheal talk about his rape, it's always in the context of comforting others or worrying what others will think. He brushes it off with a quick "I can say it. It happened. I dealt with it. I've moved passed it." But he's never actually gotten any help, taken a moment for himself, or grieved for anyone nor anything. I think that Micheal blaming Sonny for his rape, AJ's murder, and even Jason's "death" are why he's so adamant about keeping Sonny from The Baby. It could also be the destruction of Morgan, Kristina getting blown up and into destructive relationships, and just not wanting another kid to see the mess that is Sonny Corinthos's life. He may love his kids, but no child needs to be a part of that. Micheal is the proof of what happens when you get close. It's messed up that they actually killed AJ because AJ being alive or in a coma would be better.

Michael has the absolute right to blame Sonny for his rape. In my opinion, Sonny is as guilty as Franco for it. Sonny is the one who called off the truce that Jason carefully brokered with AZ to keep Michael safe in prison because Sonny had a hard-on for killing Johnny Z. The thing is when Sonny has a target in mind. woe to anyone who tries to stop him including a promise to his son and a mob truce.

I hate defending Jason, but at least he did something about Micheal being in prison. You'd never ever see Sonny nor Carly voluntarily go to prison to protect Micheal. Sonny pleaded guilty to save Carly, Duke, and possibly himself from the death penalty. He also had a deluded feeling that Micheal would love him and plea for Scotty to take pity. Sonny played martyr. Jason didn't do that. He knew his life was dangerous and gave up his own son, realized he wronged his brother and possibly his family and apologized at AJ's original grave, he gave up his fiancé and went to prison for Micheal. He killed Carter. He was one of the first people Micheal opened up to. I think Jason's done a lot of deplorable things- lots of soap characters have- but he's not a rapist nor has he injured his children or gotten them raped. I think without a doubt though, that Jason would rip Morgan apart for drugging Micheal. I do think he will be pissed about Sonny murdering AJ and Carly covering up. But mostly because AJ was unarmed, and more so for the damage it did to Micheal and Monica and ELQ. He may not have expressed interest in it before, but not being there for Edward's death will affect him imo. Jason was big on respect and loyalty and honor. Sonny talked it, but Jason actually walked it.

When they run drug ads on the tv, the side effects are mind boggling. I wonder if Michael will have to deal with them. I am surprised that the brain trust child, Morgan didn't go the easy way and swipe Sonny's viagra and OCD meds and give those to Michael.

Olivia shouldn't be blackmailed by Franco & Nina, but she brought her fate on herself by getting drunk with Julian, having unprotected sex with him, getting pregnant by him and lying about it by passing Ned off as the father.

You left off the biggest reason that Franco is blackmailing Olivia - because she told him that Julian was really the father.  I know it was all plot point but it was so stupid.  And it is all her fault.  If Ned gives Franco one share of ELQ stock to clean up Oliviia's mess, I am going to be pissed.

The thing is, Ned can still help Olivia without giving up any stock. The solution is simple - have Franco murdered.

I can't believe Olivia, or hell Lois, doesn't have an uncle, cousin, or even an aunt that could make Freakco disappear. If Bensonhurst and its residents are going to be portrayed as a stereotype then it would be crawling with Mafioso thugs that would be more than happy to clean up Olivia's problem.

Why can't this be like fucking Dexter or Game of Thrones or Oz where Micheal could just stab Franco in the neck with a sword or Jason gets his memory back, finds out Franco is alive and kills him?

I am behind and just recently caught up on two weeks worth of shows so I forgive me if these things have already been said!

Regarding Jake "Barnes" and Greenlee (sorry she is and will always be Greenlee to me!)--ok she has his social security card, birth certificate, pictures, etc.  But what about his job prior to the accident?  What about friends back in Beecher's Corners??  How did Helena get a hold of him and when????  These are fairly simple questions.  Why has no one asked them??

Liz - His name is Jacob Barnes.

Carly, completely deadpan - No.

I can't stand Carly most of the time but that was the best reaction ever!

I enjoyed the anniversary episode as far as the acting went.  I think everyone for the most part did a good job.  I didn't really like the way they rewrote Luke's history but I'm just happy we have some sort of explanation.  Absolutely HATED this story.

Last thing:  I was going to watch Friday's episode yesterday but I saw on the little episode preview that something was going to happen with Avery's custody.  I got preemptively angry at Morgan and Kiki and decided not to watch.  It was late and I don't need that kind of stress in my life, lol.  Team Michael all the way!!

Olivia doesn't want Franco dead, for some reason. She told Julian if anyone were going to take care of it, it would be Sonny (someone she trusts, *gag*). Since she hasn't gone to Sonny or mentioned to Ned that she will go to Sonny, I can only think she's going to continue to be an idiot and allow herself to be blackmailed.

I wish Ned would ask her why being blackmailed by A SERIAL KILLER is worse than telling Julian he's the father of her baby. Ned has no love lost for Julian, but I'm pretty sure getting Franco out of their lives is the more pressing problem.

I respectfully disagree. Not only did I not forget that Olivia told Franco that Julian was the baby daddy in my previous post, I put her on blast for being stupid enough to do so.

Amen to that. If ever there was a storyline that could actually benefit from Ron's hackery, it's this one. Chances are that one of Olivia's "friends" from the old neighborhood would not only have considered whacking Franco the SERIAL KILLER a badge of honor, they probably would've clipped Nina for free.

Oh I'm sure he'll give up the shares. How else will we get to see Franco and Nina's wacky shenanigans around the guy Franco had raped? Funny, right? Can't wait!

Okay, I'm going to stop before my sarcast-o-meter explodes.

JFC, at Kiki and Morgan blaming the social worker for the baby going missing. Nothing is every their fault~

Lulu is being such a bitch about Valerie. Yes, She tried to kill Luke but he did hold her hostage and knock her out.

I'm all for Dante/Valerie hooking up. Anything to make Lulus head spin.

Shut up, Lulu.  I am already beyond tired of Luke's martyr whining followed by Lulu and (Tracy/Bobbie) immediately hushing him, telling him there's nothing for him to be sorry for.  Um, there totally is!  I get that he's her father and mentally ill and Lulu wants to help him, but being completely incredulous about people being pissed at Luke, wanting him to pay for his crimes, and reserving all her anger for Valerie pisses me off hard.

On the other hand, the show is pushing the Valerie/Dante connection 2 Fast 2 Furious.

Way to go, Dumb and Dumber.  Five second in your custody and Avery's been kidnapped [Monica Geller]AGAIN![/Monica Gellar]

Ugh, Felix.

Lulu needs to cheat first. otherwise, if he does hook up with Valerie, she's just gonna blame Dante completely and martyr herself and not realize that she was over-prioritizing psycho dad once again.

Morgan's face when he realizes that Carly and Sonny won't appreciate what he's done (and their faces when they realize that he drugged Michael) is all I want at this point. You'd better give it to me, show!

So Fluke is back, what a surprise, NOT.

Seriously? Oh, sweet Jesus. if old man Luke escapes custody yet AGAIN for Tony Geary's summer vacation, he'd better do it via a god damn jet pack.

And considering every Spencer has killed someone (Luke, Lulu, Michael*) or has turned into a rabid beast when someone crosses them (Michael, morgan, Carly, Lucky, Lu . . . okay all of them) I'm pretty sure that trait is lurking somewhere in there.

*Has Lucky killed someone? I think he has killed a dayplayer or two, but I'm not certain.

Morgan and Kiki standing there staring at the pacifier wondering "where could she have gone" instead of reacting was both hilarious and not surprising.  They never fail to bring the dumb.

I think Dante has free reign to do whatever. Reasons: Milo. And um yeah.

I would say partnering up with criminal Johnny like a moron is more reason for Dante to have free reign to do whatever, if I were going to say that. The only time Lulu ever tried to hook up with Milo, her brain was de-thawing.

I thought Ellie had escaped unscathed, but now here she is, probably to pathetically beg Spinelli to take her back.  Bleh.

I think it will be to say something like, "I knew that you and Damien were truly meant for each other!"

If she is here to ask him to take her back, then that is more proof Ron is just throwing everything and anything into the mix and hoping something sticks. Someone get the poor man a co-head-writer already.

But Johnny had a brain and that sweet penthouse. And he was hot (hotter pre-prison). Milo was just gawky and weird.

But she was also mentally disturbed at the time. ;) Completely in her right mind Lulu never went there.

Dante and real dad Scotty need to have drinks together and diss Luke. Franco and real dad Sonny* need to be locked in a cell together again, with only each other for company.

*Sure, they look even less alike and are the same age. Who cares! They deserve each other!

I still don't buy that it was Johnny being a criminal Dante had a problem with. Johnny didn't even shoot him in the chest or nothin',so what's his beef? ;-)

Are Morgan & Kiki auditioning for the open slot in Rumplestiltskein's Bitches of Incompetence?

I really hope Ellie is back to tell Maxie that she threw Spin out on his boney asks because he refused to get a job or at least act like an adult. But I know she's back to either beg for him to come back to her, or declare that he and Maximista are soul mates. So much hate.

Someone please tell me Ellie won't be around long. She made it this far being really likeable, its about that time Ron ruins her. I'd rather Valerie turn before Ellie. Run, Ellie!!!

Dante is too loyal to be a cheater, Show! Though I'm seriously questioning Rocco's paternity, I'm not even sorry to say that kid isn't cute enough to be his. Avery totally is, though.

Valerie shouldn't be around children but Luke should be forgiven immediately... STFU, Lulu!

He has, however, practically slept with every woman in Dante's family. :) He's probably in Bensonhurst right now going through Dante's cousins.

I'd watch that show.

Maybe they can hook up Nathan and Ellie, they would be a pretty couple.

As long as Ellie says, "don't talk" after they're done in bed.

So Scott is worried Nina might still be unstable but has absolutely no concerns about his serial killer son. K. Shut the fuck up. If you really cared about Franco you would have him killed because reasons.

So Ron couldn't bring Ellie and Spin back at the same time so they could continue their nice adult-like relationship. Nooooo. Instead, Ron thought it would be a good idea to devolve Spin so he can once again beg Maxie to love him. I guess Ron thought no one would want to see Spin and Ellie together when they could instead be treated to Spin acting desperate and competing with a fucking talking tree over who gets to be with flighty dumbass Maxie. Fuck everything. I can't have a single nice thing on this damn show.

Nathan and Dante are my fave characters on mute.

Oh, no, one of the reasons I think DZ is hot/cute is his raspy voice. But yeah, when he's using said raspy voice to form the word "dad" around a certain person, mute is my friend.

Well it took exactly 2 minutes for Spinelli to start behaving like his grasping, immature old self. Did I interrupt a moment? Do you regret your decision? Do you still have feelings for him?

wah, wah, wah, sack up Jackal.

I understand they want to go with a who-dunnit for the AJ-napping, but where would Nina stash a baby? the hotel laundry room?

I'll allow it.

I fast forwarded the Nathan/Maxie and then Maxie/Spinelli scenes. I just really can't do it anymore. Same for the Luke/Lulu scenes.

Fucking Fluke. WHY? WHYYYYYYYYYY?

Felix calling Sabrina 'Bri' was driving me insane. Stop trying, Ron, Please. You're embarrassing yourself.

LOL at the Dante/Valerie scenes. It was like being beaten with a sledgehammer. We get it!

It's like with Nathan calling Maxie "Max" and Morgan calling Michael "Mikey": such a lazy, shorthand way to express that two people are close or they have a special relationship, busting out an un-earned nickname. Speaking of . . .

Patrick called Sam "Sammy." Hello!

I thought Nina and Franco were Ron's main characters. When was the last time Sabrina and Felix even saw one another?

That's my point. Ron was obsessed with them for 2 years and then they disappeared. He's probs excited to reconnect those besties.
