Trini August 31, 2015 Share August 31, 2015 Discuss the cast (guest stars too) in roles outside of Supergirl. ---------------------- I'm not that familiar with many of the regular cast. Calista Flockhart and David Harewood are the two that I've seen the most of. I'd heard of Mehcad Brooks, but haven't really watched anything he's been in. I recently found out that Chyler Leigh was in Taxi Brooklyn, in which I thought she was the worst part, so I hope she's much better here. I'm sure he'll only have a few scenes (if that many!), but I'm looking forward to seeing Dean Cain. 1 Link to comment
Sakura12 August 31, 2015 Share August 31, 2015 I remember Chyler Leigh from the short lived show Reunion. Calista Flockhart from Ally McBeal. Melissa Benoist from her topless scene in Homeland and from Glee. Mehcad Brooks as Eggs from True Blood and from Desperate Housewives. I don't know how much they will be in it, but Dean Cain and Helen Slater from their time in the super suit. I obviously watch too much tv. :D Link to comment
Katydid August 31, 2015 Share August 31, 2015 (edited) Of course I know of Calista from Ally McBeal, though I never really watched the show much. But the whole reason I'm watching Supergirl is Jeremy Jordan. I've been a devout worshipper of his chiseled jawline and vocal cords of steel for about 4 years now. I've been to NYC twice to see him perform- saw him in Bonnie & Clyde on Broadway, and then last year I went to his solo cabaret show at 54 Below. I met him both times. And of course I watched Smash and the movies he's done, Joyful Noise and The Last 5 Years. To be honest, I was a bit disappointed to hear he was going to be in L.A. doing Supergirl because I was hoping he'd be back in another Broadway show soon. I think he's a good actor no matter what the medium, but his singing and presence on stage is really something amazing. He's incredibly charismatic in person. I don't think the magic comes across quite as well on TV as it does live (plus a role where he doesn't sing is tragic), but he seems excited to be doing the show, so I'm happy for him. Trini September 8, 2015 Author Share September 8, 2015 I think it's interesting that Owain Yeoman is playing an 'unstoppable' killer in the Supergirl pilot, when he also played an unstoppable killer in the Sarah Connor Chronicles pilot. He's on the tall side, so I guess that helps. :) Link to comment

Ah we all know thats not how SNL hosting works! Its all about synergy and marketing tie-ins. They'll have reoccurring guests on outside of that for reasons like this though. However I believe She Loves Me is done with its NY run (it closed July 10), so short of Benanti yet another Broadway show vs. more TV, I don't see how she'd be all that easily available. emarasmoak February 22, 2017 Share February 22, 2017 I find it charismatic in both. Kai is fun as hell because it is impossible not to be interesting when you are charismatic but also an impredictable villain without remorse and powers and a childish / murderous behaviour. Mon-El's storyline is harder to sell and part of that is the writing (they decided to have an arc about what seemed to be a jerk to a full hero with a high-school love story in the middle) Link to comment
