  1. Winn is now a Daddy! Jeremy Jordan and his wife welcomed their first child yesterday. A daughter named Clara Eloise. They never announced the pregnancy, but I think a lot of us had pretty much figured it out. https://www.broadwayworld.com/article/Jeremy-Jordan-Ashley-Spencer-Welcome-Beautiful-Baby-Girl-to-the-Family-20190422
  2. Probably the only time I've empathized with Whitney is the feeling of waiting for that storm for days. I live where it made landfall but evacuated and could not get back home for almost 2 weeks.
  3. Jeanette sure was reluctant to share that Jazz had surgery complications. If her "job" is to act as an educator and supporter for parents of trans kids, seems a bit unethical to withhold info that would help them make informed decisions.
  4. I hope they mention the miscarriage at the end of episode because otherwise I can imagine people watching that don't keep up with real time events outside the show running to their social media to offer congratulations after seeing the reveal tonight.
  5. I just watched the episode where she recreates Lad's ancestor Addie's recipes to take to the Drummond homestead curator. Gotta love that she can't make those old fashioned recipes without firing up the $$$ Kitchen Aid mixer with multiple attachments for each recipe. That's not how Addie did it, Ree.
  6. Screamed at the TV when they stopped at the restaurant while driving to Houston and made a parking space for themselves between the 2 already occupied accessible spaces. This is a very common problem, and parking on those access lines means that someone who drives a vehicle with a ramp cannot access their vehicle. It doesn't matter if they have an accessible parking permit, you just can't make as space like that. I also noted that in parking there they were completely blocking the ramp/curb cut, so someone like myself that uses a wheelchair would not be able to access the restaurant at all.
  7. My cousin and her husband adopted their son from S. Korea and she had to lose 50 pounds before they would consider her. She was nowhere near Whitney's size and had no health issues. While I agree Whit is a brat and has a lot going against her, on some level I can understand being frustrated with the news. As someone with a physical disability (not involving weight), I know how horrible it is when broad assumptions are made based on stereotypes rather than on an individual basis. And as a mental health professional, I feel the same about the sweeping assumptions that are made about those diagnoses. That's not to say I think Whit should go in demanding a child like she's entitled to one, but I just think these things need to be decided on a case by case basis because there are too many individual variables that come into to play when determining whether someone with a medical or mental health condition is or is not capable of something like parenting.
  8. I actually thought the nursery reveal was a cute way to announce the pregnancy, but everyone's reaction was so... blah. I think Kendra's parents were even slightly horrified it happened so quickly.
  9. Jeremy's coming back to Broadway this fall! Don't mind my fangirl scream. It's a play instead of a musical, which is kind of unfortunate, but I immediately started planning a trip to see it anyway. https://www.broadwayworld.com/article/Breaking-Broadway-Here-He-Comes-Jeremy-Jordan-Joins-Kerry-Washington-Steven-Pasquale-More-in-AMERICAN-SON-20180710
  10. I'm actually surprised Mehcad isn't on the list of possible people leaving. He seems to be focused on his upcoming album and travels a lot, and it's not like they are using James anyway. Judging by social media at least he seems to me to be the least connected to the show at this point, as he rarely mentions it. The interviews Jeremy has done in the past year or so suggest that he's really ready to get back to Broadway, and there have been a few where I thought he seemed surprisingly blunt about it being a matter of his SG contract that is holding him back. He's also working on a solo album. He recently posted about an interview he did for a Broadway-related podcast that is coming out (conveniently!) next Tuesday... the day after the finale. He dropped some cryptic hints about it that don't make any sense, so my theory is maybe he's leaving SG (at least for awhile) to work on something else and can't say that until the finale has aired. Also, as far as I know his wife never moved out to Vancouver with him, so I'm surprised he's lasted this long with them being apart for so much of the year. I can also see David wanting to get back to his family, as I gather they aren't with him in Vancouver either. I'm surprised about Chris, though. I have to wonder if maybe the show and/or Chris himself just got tired of dealing with the drama surrounding Mon-El, judging by the anger any post about him still tends to generate on social media.
  11. Winn karaoke scene! My dream come true!!! I actually have always hated that song, but let's be real, Jeremy could sing the phone book and it'd be Grammy worthy.
  12. Jeremy back in his natural habitat, singing at an event last night honoring his SG mom, Laurie Metcalf. http://ew.com/theater/2018/03/27/jeremy-jordan-waitress-mcc-miscast/amp/
  13. Oh my goodness, an aquaintance of mine is at the dance class. I guess it makes sense because she knows Whitney from high school and now lives in Charleston.
  14. I feel cheated that we didn't get a fast food feast stop en route to Houston.
  15. I gotta say I'm shocked TLC didn't somehow hint at the death in the promos to drum up interest. I guess now we know to look out when someone other than the "contestant" narrates.
