I  continue to have several problems with the Heather/Carole tirade-- yeah, that horse just got a shot of epi to the heart....  

 

The last beach vacation these women took together included the Night of the Pirate-- in fact, since he nailed both Lu and Sonya, it was Two Nights of the Pirate.  He was in their house at night--no telling where he went or what he did. No way to know if he was escorted to the door or wandered around and left at the break of day, as Pirates do (I'm guessing....). No way to know if he took a peek at the loveliness that is Heather while she slept. All of those dirty-minded acts that Heather imagines and possible thefts of her property-- the Pirate could have done it all. Twice.

 

No question that he was a hook up-- I'm not sure anyone knew his full name or his story.

So, where was all of the terror and horror over the Pirate?   I don't recall any discussion whatsoever about the danger posed to the other women by the Pirate's visits to the home, and no accusations made against the two housemates who entertained him.   If anything, the women-- Carole, especially-- were all snicker-y and snarky about it. Where was all the fear and anger when they learned the Pirate was in the house while they were asleep?  I am not buying the idea that they were safe as long as the Pirate was occupied (ahem) with Lu or Sonja.  Lots of alcohol involved, the hosts may fall asleep, and you know a Pirate is always going to be in search of treasure....

 

Have to admit, Heather and Carol's reaction to the Pirate was not fearful in the least.  

 

But if we choose to believe a random guy in the house is a terrifying event for Heather and Carole, why didn't they settle on some house rules about hook-ups before the trip?  After all, they had to know Lu was gonna get some if the opportunity presented itself (and I LOVE that about her).  

 

Here's why--  Naked Guy  was really nothing more than chance for camera- hog Heather to get attention and plant her flag on that Higher Ground of Superior Morals and Values where she alone lives. Carole-- just a flunky- follower.

 

I hope Naked Guy DID do something in Heather and Carol's bathroom.  I hope he used Carole's Lady Schick to man-scape his nether regions, peed in their toilet and left the seat up, and blew his nose in Heather's towel.

I don't think The Naked Juice Guy and the Pirate are comparable, exactly.  Now, the fucked-upedness of the whole situation aside, Lu and Sonja both "knew" him because he was supposedly the "boyfriend/boytoy" of that lady they knew who owned the bar. Now, that is not to say that they knew-him, knew him BUT there was a higher level of familiarity given their mutual friend/connection.

Just because Lu started boning one doesn't mean the other wanted to sleep with Moaner. Perhaps he just asked for a bedroom because his friend was busy getting laid and the friend was his ride.  Maybe Ro's guy was married and although he might've been up for a party at the house, he wasn't going to screw anybody.  Lu and her dude went to her room, Ramona went to hers, and the other guy went to Bethenny's.  I was in a similar sitch. Only I was the one that fell asleep (not naked) in a spare room while my friend was having sexy times with some rando that we'd met in a bar.  His friend and I just weren't into each other so we listened to some music, smoked a joint, I went to a sofa in the den and he went to his room.  Granted we were in our twenties, but just because Ramona brought him home doesn't mean she had her way, and then sent him off to another bed.

 

That said, I do understand Heather's fear and I wouldn't have liked it either.  But my reaction wouldn't have been as dramatic or delayed as Heather's was.

 

He was so drunk he was willing. Then Ramona came out from behind the shoji screen in her Ramona Blue lingerie and borrowed lucite heels like this...with an extra Mrs Whiggins hip swirl...and he told her he suddenly wasn't feeling well.

and then once we're back in NYC it's back to tailored city girl stuff. She good at hitting the mark without looking costume-y (which IMO is a life skill every adult should learn) Ramona and Sonjia just looked silly to be at a beach bar in tight shiny cocktail dresses. And Carole always manages to look silly. Home girl can not wear clothes, they always wear her. Luanne is ever a goddess. Bethanny looked good.

 

Idk, I'm not a fan of what Heather wears usually.  I think of all of 'em, she dresses the worst -- by far.  I hated that yellow mini-dress she was wearing when she was fighting with sloppy-ass drunkety-drunk Dorinda. True, it fit her nicely, but it was fugly.  Still, of all the Housewives shows, this crew overwhelmingly dresses the best.  OC?  Oy.  Asshole Meghan, wearing that toilet rug over some backless satin thingie, should watch this group.  That asshole woman dresses horribly.  And Vicks really should ditch that hideous itchy-looking Chanel knockoff jacket -- even TJ Maxx or Marshall's wouldn't sell.  Moaner may be stuck in the '80's & Sonja may still be wearing only the stuff Old Man Morgan let her charge to his Black card 20 years ago, & Carole may be pushing this Boho/hippie-chick/stoner shtick way too hard, but this group still dresses better than anyone on OC.

Perhaps they were using horror movie logic.  If Ramona is in bed with him, then clearly he would attack her first since she had sex leaving Heather and Carol enough time to scream, run into the room where the danger is, trip trying to run out and barely have enough time to barricade themselves in a room with no exit until the house manager arrives with a machete to save them because he secretly knows that the estate has bad juju.

I've heard lots of folks say they have a problem with Heather being mad now, because two years ago when Lu fucked a guy, in a completely different situation, with a completely different result and different circumstances, she wasn't mad. Alistier the House Manager was there to witness the make out session on the deck, and Ramona escorting the (not yet) naked guy upstairs to sleep, and he was there when the ladies woke up in the morning.

 

Sonja said she went to bed and didn't know anything about naked man upstairs.   Isn't it possible that Ramona took this guy upstairs so they could have some privacy since Sonja was already in bed?   They were sharing a room.  It is possible and then maybe he passed out and Ramona left him there so she wouldn't be found in bed with him in the morning.

I must say I am liking Bethenny's clothes.  But she always was a snappy dresser.  Will she continue to be -- as the future Mrs. Eric Stonestreet?  Hmmmmm.

 

I think she is spending some serious bucks on stylists with her return.  She does look good.  But even more, and the compliment is in here, she has had more filler and tweaked changed faces this season than Patti Stanger does on an episode of her show.  Every single shift in time she has some new slant to her eyes or cheeks,  And the kicker is?  Her hair and makeup for the most part (her face in her later talking heads is a bit too Katherine Helman in Brazil) is on point with each change!  I never knew someone could so perfectly match every jab with her wardrobe.  Cheeks plumped and she gets the shading the tones and the cut just right.  Yeah I'm mocking how many times her face gets moved around, but I am dead serious in how well she makes it work with what she is wearing and, for the most part, how her hair looks. 

 

Though if she and Carole are still friendly next year, maybe for Lent they could swear off procedures.  Carole could stop looking like she is trying to attract young hipster outdoorsy types by tempting them with the chance to repel down her left eye socket as her cheeks are at the point a small child could whack them and the two fools from Botched would each fall out from one.  and Betheny needs to stop trying whatever it is on her eyes.  She will always look like Droopy Dog was her father and not the wolves she says raised her.  She needs to stop thinking those bolt on anti terrorist vehicle barriers she paid too much money for and attached to her chest need balanced by accentuating that jaw as well (though I think she got those boobs fixed when she moved back east.  Maybe she thought if she lived on the beaches of Malibu she would need something to prevent tidal erosion.

I don't think Heather and Carole were trying to catch Luann in the act - Heather knew the guy was already on the couch and on his way out by that point.

 

ITA with Ramona trying to throw Luann under the bus by sending Heather and Carole her way hoping that catching Luann with a guy would deflect from Ramona's actions.

 

Luann overreacted too - but after the island and the season wrapped.  

 

IMO if Ramona had been with the guy, whether logical safety-wise or not, it wouldn't have felt as creepy - like the guy wouldn't have been invading their space by himself.

Heather tweeted what I have always heard (from Alex and from Tamra). There is no big mystery as to when filming begins. They have a schedule as to when it begins for the day and when it ends. They all knew when cameras would arrive. My initial thought about both Ramona/Sonja and Lu was that no one was shocked when the girls came in their room. Neither Ramona nor Lu even lifted their heads up off the pillow. The idea that Lu thinks they were trying to catch her in the act is ricidulous. If they wanted to catch Lu they would have come in at 4am, not at 9:30.

I like the way Kristin dresses. I like Heather's clothes when she's casual, like her T&C outfit, especially with the belly chain. Bethenny keeps it simple and classic. Sonja tends to be sometimes holey and threadbare, but she basically always looks good in regular clothes. Ramona is almost always overdressed and too-too tutu-foo-foo.

I often gets these scenarios mixed up but didn't Heather and Carole stay in a separate bungalow by themselves on this vacation?   If that's true, it could explain why they didn't express concern over PirateGate in the main house.

In St Barth's Heather and Carole stayed in the guest house, separate from the other women and I don't think Thomas/pirate stayed the whole night either time, especially alone. LOL

Woah! The world has gone mad! As one of the few who were critical of Carol and Heather back when it was like, uncool, I'm freaking the hell out to find myself agreeing with some of the very posters who lobbed snotty remarks my way last year. How'd that happen?

 

It doesn't change my opinion that Heather and Carol can also be quite the hypocrites (calling someone an alcoholic is unacceptable, but saying someone has Munchausen seems to be A-OK), but you just don't take risks that can endanger OTHER people. Don't care if there were exaggerations about where he was or how naked he was. He was there. Unattended. Heather and Carole were asleep. 

 

Ramona has once again proven herself to be a self-centered ass. Only possible explanation for her smelling of roses when she is up to her neck in shit is that she must have some serious dirt on the devil himself (caught him doing a good deed, perhaps?).

 

Maybe Heather brought the drama, but so did Luann. It's what they do on this show, and I've looked for the slut-shaming in this episode, but don't see it. How is it slut-shaming to highlight just how little was known about the man when you are explaining why you were scared? If fucking random guys is nothing to be ashamed about, then not knowing their names is certainly nothing to be ashamed about.

 

As for WWHL, I don't see any slut-shaming there, either. If you sleep with a man you've just met a day or two after sleeping with another man you had just met, it seems to me you pretty much sleep with anyone.  Then, if you find out the second one was married and you just shrug it off, it really seems to me you pretty much sleep with anyone. And lastly, if you knew the second one was married and yet you fucked him anyway, not only do you pretty much sleep with anyone, but you'e also a slut who has a lot to be ashamed about. So, imo, Carol was just stating her opinion based on what she has seen:  Luann will do anyone.

 

For those of us who've followed this show from the start, we've heard the rumors and seen the gossip rag articles talking about how the Countess, while married to the Count, enjoyed grabbing herself random handfuls of non-Count balls. She needs to be open and honest about her slutty ways. That's actually what we like about you, Lu! I've always thought Ramona is a terrible dresser.  I don't know how she sits down in some of her tight, shiny dresses.

Just a speculation but I wonder if Heather had one of those 'seeing my life flash before my eyes' moments after seeing the random naked guy in the next room of "what the hell did I get myself into with this crazy show - who needs this shit" and wound herself up into a lather and went off on Luann and Ramona.   I understood her reaction and did think that it did go over the top.  I think I would have totally lost it had I been in that situation.

 

Last year's pirate was fun to comment on.  This year's misadventures, not so much.

 

Ramona never ceases to amaze me and not in a good way.  I feel sorry that Avery not only has to endure the tabloid stories about her father, but can see her mother's behavior on tv episodes that re-run several times a week.    She seems like a great kid and seems to be far more mature than either of her parents, and has more grace in her little finger than her mother has in her entire body, IMO.

She probably had Rosie (was that her name?) take care of that talk.  It seemed that she was more of a parent to the kids than LuAnn was.

My take is that Carole doesn't care.  I wouldn't put any faith in Andy since he hung her out to dry with the ghostwriter issue.  It wouldn't shock me if she left the show especially if Heather ends up leaving because IMO she doesn't have much of a storyline anyway at this point except for fighting with LuAnn - and that's a snooze at this point.

Dorinda's reaction to Heather and Carole being upset about the man sleeping in their suite:

 

So this should’ve been a normal, civil, emotionally stable conversation between the girls after everyone woke up. But instead, it was hammed up, and Heather and Carole paraded around the house like it was a drug bust in a jail cell. Not even the guards were this excited when two murderers cut through steel and crawled through walls to escape out of a maximum security prison.

 

Dorinda's reaction to her drunken rant conversation that no one at the tale understood:

 

I was genuinely hurt and simply didn’t appreciate Heather bringing up my daughter, my boyfriend, my mother, and then almost patronize me to calm me down. Was I wound up? Yes. Do I get a little paranoid if I don’t hear things entirely or very clearly? Yes. Does the Martini Express f--- me up sometimes? Yes. Am I a lunatic? No. And though Bethenny made some reasonably valid points, I think it’s fair for anyone to get defensive if their family and/or loved ones get dragged into a conversation for the sake of making a pointless point. I know Skinny Girl —like The Countess, Princess Carole, Madame Yummie, Lady Morgan, and The RamonaCoaster—doesn’t tolerate when her personal life is judged and her “ethics” and “values” are questioned. So why the double standard?

 

All I can say huh?  Really?  She's comparing Heather and Carole's response to the prisoner guard's 'excitement' over the escaped prisoners in NY?  This makes about as much sense as her drunken tirade at the FU dinner....which was none.  Heather dragged in her mother, boyfriend and daughter?  Hm.  Who said my mother would be disgusted with me if I said 'fuck'?  Oh, that would be Dorinda.  If you don't want your adult daughter to be brought up then don't have her on the show.  And if your making the point that your mother would be disgusted then how do you feel about your own adult daughter saying it?  When you accuse Heather of 'preaching', you better look in the mirror first  and see who was doing the judging.  When did Heather say anything about John?  Who questioned your ethics and values?

 

Bottom line is Dorinda is as much a hypocrite as Lu.  It's ok for them to get all upset when something affects them (how dare you enter my room or say something about my adult child) but Heather and Carole are not allowed to get upset about the guy sleeping in their suite.   So why the double standard Dorinda?

After rewatching, one of my favorite parts of this amazing episode is as the vacation scenes wind down, and various housewives are having shitfits and meltdowns, Ramona pops up in her talking head saying the trip was amazing and a 10 out of 10.  End scene/Cut to NYC.  I can't help it, I know how rude and out of line she can be, but Ramoner can always come through and crack me up. #ramonablue #bluestonemanorgate et cetera

As for WWHL, I don't see any slut-shaming there, either. If you sleep with a man you've just met a day or two after sleeping with another man you had just met, it seems to me you pretty much sleep with anyone.  Then, if you find out the second one was married and you just shrug it off, it really seems to me you pretty much sleep with anyone. And lastly, if you knew the second one was married and yet you fucked him anyway, not only do you pretty much sleep with anyone, but you'e also a slut who has a lot to be ashamed about. So, imo, Carol was just stating her opinion based on what she has seen:  Luann will do anyone.

 

For those of us who've followed this show from the start, we've heard the rumors and seen the gossip rag articles talking about how the Countess, while married to the Count, enjoyed grabbing herself random handfuls of non-Count balls. She needs to be open and honest about her slutty ways. That's actually what we like about you, Lu! We all know you are quite skilled at raising things, so grab your Ho-bag flag, mount it on the pole of your choosing, raise it and pledge allegiance to it, dammit! Stop the bullshit!

 

Lastly, it's about time, Bravo! I've soo enjoyed these last few episodes!

If there were a 600lb., broke dude with no teeth, I highly doubt Luann would even speak to the guy much less sleep with him. Somewhere in one of these threads someone posted a partial portion of Dorinda's blog for this week. I read the whole blog just a few minutes ago and it makes perfect sense to me and has settled the whole episode debate for me. It is rational, she sees both sides of the issue between ZOMGnekkid man and Be Cool. She did apologize to Heather in her blog. Not an over the top sorry,  or a sorrynotsorry, but a sorry, can we move forward apology. 

 

I am one of the few who still likes Dorinda. I love that she is so rational, New York-ey, funny, stupid, pretty, loves a bargain, has two cool houses, gets flustered and while I don't like a mean drunk, it is part of who she is and I don't really get to out of whack over it. I kind of like a woman who can be super nice and off the rails. I hope she sticks around for another season. 

 

My ZOMGnekkid man is not belittling Heather's reaction at all. Please don't think that. I was just trying to make it an extreme between the two views that Heather and Luann had and that somewhere in the middle, stood Dorinda's view. 

She doesn't really apologize IMO. What she did was to put sole blame on Heather for "F gate", trying to make it seem as if Heather was not the one attacked but that it was her getting attacked by Heather for NO reason. She makes it sound like SHE never spoke about Heather's daughter, a minor child BTW, not an adult daughter that has had a few words "bleeped" out this season so far. And her dismissiveness of Heather's fear about the naked guy is sad and once again putting the entire blame on Heather instead of those that dismissed her friend, Heather's, real fear. Also, read her tweets, there is no way this twit is trying to find middle ground or peace with Heather in any way shape or form. She is off the charts nasty on twitter. LOL

It still is not slut-shaming, in my opinion. I didn't take it as something to be taken literally, either, as I don't believe Carol herself thinks Luann would do ANYONE, including under aged boys.  However, Luann has shown herself to not be very picky about her penises and that is how I took Carol’s statement. It wasn't just a ONS, it was two in four days, with men she had just met, and she didn't care that one was married. This doesn't include whatever Carol has seen through the years off-camera. Luann does love her men, after all.

If Luann feels slut-shamed by anything this episode and on WWHL, then she is projecting, in my opinion.

Idk, I'm not a fan of what Heather wears usually.  I think of all of 'em, she dresses the worst -- by far.  I hated that yellow mini-dress she was wearing when she was fighting with sloppy-ass drunkety-drunk Dorinda. True, it fit her nicely, but it was fugly.  Still, of all the Housewives shows, this crew overwhelmingly dresses the best.  OC?  Oy.  Asshole Meghan, wearing that toilet rug over some backless satin thingie, should watch this group.  That asshole woman dresses horribly.  And Vicks really should ditch that hideous itchy-looking Chanel knockoff jacket -- even TJ Maxx or Marshall's wouldn't sell.  Moaner may be stuck in the '80's & Sonja may still be wearing only the stuff Old Man Morgan let her charge to his Black card 20 years ago, & Carole may be pushing this Boho/hippie-chick/stoner shtick way too hard, but this group still dresses better than anyone on OC.

 

I must say I am liking Bethenny's clothes.  But she always was a snappy dresser.  Will she continue to be -- as the future Mrs. Eric Stonestreet?  Hmmmmm.

I do agree Heather usually looks nice...except for the Victorian blanket dress at the Red Lion Inn, or was that Dorindas dinner? I do believe Bethenny is the best dressed. She always looks so put together, with out any fuss. The NY wives typically look relatable unlike the NJ, Miami, OC ladies. I do like Camille & Yolanda's clothes too. Kyles improving but still too many moo moos at this point in time.

Lu does put it all out there, huh? She looked great in the uncool scene. I never look like that when woken up suddenly...(editing of the time sequence happening, or is she that lucky? All of these ladies look good.

As Ramona says, I can't. Not with this discussion.

But I will say that I was pretty upset when my youngest daughter, a freshman in college last year, blurted out the real, true reason she disliked her roommate. She's been griping about her from early on, with a look of disdain, but I thought said roommate was just a slob or lush, the normal, typical roommate issues...(Had I known the truth then, I would have gone OTT helicopter mom crazy on the R.A. or her roommate)...after the fact, my daughter reveals to us that her roommate had frequent overnight male "guests" in their room...I did all I could to remain calm. Now that, that is UNCOOL. My daughter said her "disgusting" roommate had invited lots of guys to her bed over the school year. The problem? Talking about a safety issue for my daughter, good grief. They are in the same room, my daughter had no privacy, nor was there any concern for her safety while stuck there with her nitwit roommate and unknown guests. The Roommate never asked, just opened up THEIR room to guys unknown. My daughter was afraid to be, all uncool, to make an issue at school, even though her R.A. knew it was happening but didn't do anything. Roommate would sometimes leave door ajar, not cool. No concern, whatsoever for the safety of my kid.

Yes, dorm life may be very different than older, grown women on vacation, but I totally get Heathers fears. At the same time, I know LuAnn is an adult and can make choices...I wouldn't make, but her right to make her own choices. When it was revealed there was a married man possibly involved, I winced, but again, not my business. (But not cool) I would have freaked. But, I thought the way Heather reacted was OTT, because she was jumping on people that were not involved, like Dorinda.

I've said it before and I will say it again. We all have a right to our feelings. We need to agree to disagree without snarking or taking issue with others thoughts or opinions on the behavior of the housewives. Can we save the snark for the Housewives?! Yes, I said it, quoting my daughter, she said her roommates actions were disgusting. I don't need a lecture about slut shaming. That's not what I was doing. I was expressing the words of my daughter, coming from her from feeling unsafe and not feeling in control of her circumstances. She likely didn't speak up to me because she thought I would get involved. I have to side with Heather's right to her feelings of fear, but I also didn't think she handled it well. She's 40 something years old, not 19. She could have gone downstairs, to see if anyone was up, and started asking around without the bullhorn and all the dramatics. But we wouldn't be talking about this episode would we?
