Richards was released at 10:36 a.m. Thursday and was issued a citation charging her with public intoxication, trespassing, resisting an officer and battery on a police officer. They don't keep people at the station for 8 hours unless they are in the drunk tank. They have to sober up before they are released. Wow, even Bravo producers couldn't come up with something like this. Yep. Lincoln Hoshino, a representative for the Beverly Hills police department, told ABC News that officers reported to the Beverly Hills Hotel around 1:30 a.m., after receiving a report from security there. Security claimed that an individual, later determined to be Richards, was causing "a disturbance" at the hotel restaurant and would not leave, While being escorted off the premises, Richards asked to use the bathroom and barricaded herself inside though she had been asked repeatedly to do so.. Security at the hotel made a citizen's arrest, and then officers took her into custody at 2:04 a.m., police said. "Richards was displaying symptoms of alcohol intoxication including slurred speech and belligerent insolent behavior," Hoshino said in a statement. "[she was] cursing at the officers and passively resisted arrest. After being transported to the station for booking, Richards kicked one of the officers in the leg; however the officer was not injured." Richards was released at approximately 10:36 a.m. and was expected to appear in court on May 10. The Bravo reality TV star has struggled with substance abuse in the past. In 2012, after spending time in rehab, she told Andy Cohen, "I'm an alcoholic." haydensterling April 16, 2015 Share April 16, 2015 She has to be let go from the show. There is a tremendous amount of good that both Andy and Bravo can do in letting this happen. For her own health and the safety of her family, Kim must be removed from the show. Someone should start on an online petiton, or some shit. This could be the pivotal moment for Kim, and she needs to be able to heal. She needs to be in inpatient treatment and not one of her own choice, she needs to be in a center where you work the steps and most importantly, learn to accept responsibility for what she's done. Her narcissism makes this doubly difficult, though. She has no empathy, and you can't teach it. Her emotional development seems to have been arrested at about the age of twelve. She refuses to see her hand in anything that's happened to her, because to do so would absolutely shatter her sense of who she is. This is the biggest mess, and I have a such a huge amount of loathing for Andy right now, I can't even. I just hope Kim's kids are okay and that they're honestly at the point where they can separate their love for their mom from the awareness of the damage she's caused herself and her family, and a strong stance that they cannot tolerate this any longer. They must be feeling such an insane blend of emotions right now. I know I would be. Unreal. I had a feeling this would happen after the last episode aired, but I had no idea it would be this quickly. A lot of criminals and horrible, horrible everyday people have illnesses. But that doesn't make them any less criminals and horrible people. The 50-year-old Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star then reportedly refused to leave the restaurant's bathroom, at which point security issued a private citizen's arrest. After getting taken into custody at 2 a.m., Kim allegedly dropped to the floor of the jail and started kicking an officer in the leg. She was arrested for public intoxication, trespassing, resisting arrest and battery of a police officer, and then was issued a citation for a misdemeanor. Her bail is set at $20,000.
