Sweet Fellowship: Duggars and Friends (aka the Bates Family and Other Featured Families Thread)

Message added by Scarlett45

If a person/family was never featured on any of the Duggar shows, and is not related to the Duggar family by blood or marriage, they do not need to be discussed here..

We may all agree that David Rodriques is quite unfortunate looking, but let's refrain from comparing human beings to apes, its got way too much of a loaded history- please review the new Inclusion Policy updated May 1, 2022 , which details guidelines around discussing body type, capabilities, physical appearance etc. Additionally, using body size as an insult is not allowed.

Is there actually a tree under all that mess?  If there is, it is completely hidden.  It is hard to believe that she thinks this mess is so beautiful that she posts a picture.  She might as well have a stack of boxes "decorated" and just skip the tree.

I’m dying to know how much money was spent on redecorating the tree!

Maybe Plexus would allow her to "splurge" on a trip to a doctor to check on the puffiness in her hands and neck.

Any profits from selling Plexus go directly into Jill's vanity account: professional manicures, hair extensions, bleach, makeup, home decor, holiday decorations, new clothes for herself, meals out with Hunk, and personal vacations. No wonder she spends so much time trying to sell the stuff. It's all for Jill;

How do God and Plexus end up in the same sentence?   Do they work together  like Amazon and UPS? Be careful, Jill. You're on shaky ground.

5. That music video was nightmare fuel.

I would guess only because he is unmarried. Also Jill would probably get questions about him not having one and was he living elsewhere.

Plexus money my a**. Jill posted they were off to grift at a new church sunday. Suddenly Jill gets pretty nails, tree gets an entirely new boat load of whatever that is. She is using the love offerings.

Her filming of the “Christmas Winter” scenery is on point with her cooking post, grey and grim.

While I understand the desire to try and capture snow on trees at the beginning of winter (I live in Michigan so I also have Christmas Winter...I guess?), photographs rarely do it justice.  And flying down the highway captures it even worse.  Nice try, Jill.

Shouldn’t that wording be reversed and revised   Thanks to God that Plexus affords me the ability to splurge?

And I don’t believe in splurges for people who need strangers to send them clothing.

Which they then sell as "new" for a questionable profit.

Nothing motivates Jill like selfishness.   Oh I should sell some stuff so the kids can have shoes that fit.   Oh I should sell some stuff so I can buy healthy meals for the kids.  (don't need it for the doctor visits, they are on state insurance which means ZERO out of pocket so they really have no excuse other than doctors are mandatory reporters).   Nope its, let's sell stuff so I can completely redecorate the tree and get my nails done.

Her radio silence didn't last long.  All this bragging and showing off how she spends money is going to get her in trouble with her marks donors.  I guess she didn't learn her lesson last time.  Why is Dave letting her get away with spending this way?  I would be surprised if  Plexus sales was bringing in enough to pay for all the decorations and manicures and used clothes to sell.  I hope the clearing house is paying attention.

I think they do still attend that church. Samuel and Jonathan were shown singing in the church choir sunday. No Kaylee though.

The other rods are sporadically shown with the choir, but they are gone about half the time. (the rest of the choir probably loves those sundays without Jill front and center)

irony is: she spends all the the money and looks cheap and tacky. maybe if she got a decent wig and a professional manicure and wore modest, plain clothing that fit... she just doesn't look nice like ever. she always looks like a clown no matter what she does fashion/makeup wise.

I was lucky to be blessed with a longer nail bed, hers is short and round. Growing up my friends and I were obsessed with long nails and polish and I knew a few that had the same kind of nail bed.

Yeah, my nails are envied. Especially because they naturally grow out strong and as long as I wish. 😀

Not sure we know this for a fact.  The church they were attending posts various gatherings and services online.  Some Rodrigues' sleuth, on Reddit, I think; found a video of a service where Jill was asking for prayer for herself because her son, Phillip, had gone astray.  That was at the time he went to Oklahoma (?) and was hanging out with a different weird Christian cult earlier this year.  Anyway, the church's website usually gets only modest traffic as expected; but, once Jill was seen in the video and outed, the site got a zillion hits from people wanting to see Jill ranting and raving after reading about it online.

Shortly thereafter, the church removed the video and Jill started posting all sorts of lamentations about how she was being persecuted for her amazing Christian faith and specifically mentioned online harassment.  The theory here and elsewhere was that the pastor was pretty po'd to discover Jilly's extensive history of online craziness and told Dave to get his woman in line.  This lead to Jill taking a break from posting for a while, like a week or two.

Okay, some gray areas I missed about the pastor shutting down Jill. But as expected, she was back in a week or so, not chastised at all.

I think Dave knows what it is to feel the wrath of Jill and, although he is supposed to be her headship, he'll never lay down the law too firmly with her or she will make him suffer.

So, he gave her a performative slap on the wrist, she went offline until the church members moved on to other more interesting things and then she came back full force.

As Christmas approaches, let us remember JillR's SEVERELY devout worship of Jesus as shown in this photo. IIRC it's from a Joy Baptist (their former church) service. The photo's a bit dark but you can see that she's holding her phone up and is looking at it. Getting, I believe, video of the service, with of course herself up front and center in it. IMO a complete stranger to the church scene might think that Jill was worshipping her phone. But, maybe that's just me.

I wonder if we'll see such videos taken at their current church, or if the kerfluffle discussed above, has damped down some of Jill's videography. Remember, during that kerfluffle, at one point she posted on social media that her phone was deeply buried and forgotten in the bottom of her purse during church services.

Sure, Jan.

I mean, considering the food Chez Rod makes tater tot casserole and tuna n' barbecue sauce look positively gourmet...

Seriously, what is it with these people and food?

I understand being frugal but you can make decent and nutritious meals with some effort. They just don't care. Grow a garden! Read some recipes!

Back in 2019 here is Jill on gardening

"Home…oh, SWEET home! After being in our RV for 2 months, our home seems HUGE! We are SO blessed! Here I come, gardening!

LOVE being home and getting my little seedlings started for my garden. I had a HUGE garden in New York and a very small one when living in Clay, WV. Now, I am back to big.

I want to teach my children to live off the land. To be productive. To be hard working. To use their minds. To be creative. NOT to just sit around watching TV and playing on phones or social media. Mamas, let’s raise up a generation of productive children."

I agree even tater tot casserole or tuna casserole would be better than jills leftovers casserole creation. plain bread with peanut butter tastes better.

Jill just doesn't care about feeding her kids. she keeps saying she loves to pour into and nourish her kids but it's just words.

And I guess Jonathan was buying her raw milk. because she is  back to using regular milk.

why do her nails always look so weird? Does she get acrylics or something?  Her nails don't look like they "fit" her fingers.... anyone understand what  I mean?

They are press ons and she's using a size that's slightly too big.  (When you do press ons, use one size smaller than you think you need and they will look much better!)

Good to know - I mean about Jill's nails. I have a few oddly shaped fingernails and no desire to mess with press on nails. Back in the day, I had acrylic nail fillers, and because my own nail beds are kinda flat the acrylics looked pretty good. I took 'em off as I approached retirement and downsized my con$umption. Those things were high maintenance.

So I'm familiar with acrylics and not with press ons. Over the years I've thought that Jill's nails looked like badly done acrylics, and sometimes they were so grown out, thick, lumpy, and nasty that she needed a whole new set, not just a fill. But I can believe she's using today's press ons - badly.

I remember when press on ones first came out. Everyone rushed to try them. They were pretty crappy. I remember being in church, I was my neighbor's confirmation sponsor. The two of us were highly amused during the service as my press on nails kept popping off.

That was kind of my point. I can throw things together, but I'm not a good cook so unless it's something I've made a lot, it will probably taste awful. That's why I use Google to find recipes for leftovers. I can follow a recipe and I'm pretty sure Jill can, too. She won't because she's a horrible housewife and mother.

Lumpy = very bad job with acrylics.  But today's press-ons look pretty good and last if you are just trying to be fancy for an event!

I don’t do nails, they drive me crazy, so I just recently bought some of those press on/ glue on whatever the heck they are nails for a special occasion. I’m glad to know they’re good now, I haven’t tried them yet. But I too remember the days of the bad nails that wouldn’t stay on and looked plastic. and I got a very light pink, not all this gaudy crap that she wears all the time.

The fact that Jill has had a family to cook for for so many years, and still can’t figure out what to put together is a disgrace. I only had two children, but had to cook for many years. After a while, it’s instinctual what goes with what. Husband decided to take over cooking, and he’s a little puzzled on what to do without recipes. I can come up with suggestions for what else he can do with ingredients, or how to add more bulk to certain things. All this means is, she’s never really tried to cook like a decent human mother (not that all mothers have to cook, but she presents herself that way).

Homebody Jill is now in florida. She is staying at a condo. Shilling plexus to speed up metabolism because she has noticed hers has slowed down. Oh and we should buy Restore "that effectively detoxes your liver"

At one point she sticks one of her shiny manicured nails into her ear canal.🤮

So Jill and Dave (?) drove Renee down to florida to drop her with Nurie for a week until they come to the barndo for christmas.

Renee is going for a visit to "be a blessing to Nurie"

IOW, Nurie can't handle the kids she has without help.

Nurie needing help is the convenient excuse for Jill to be in Florida, instead of Ohio the week before Christmas caring for her kids.   How did she manage a condo?   Creepy Cream Boutique must be doing better than we thought.   Or she found a new "sweet friend" who hasn't seen any of her social media.
