Sweet Fellowship: Duggars and Friends (aka the Bates Family and Other Featured Families Thread)

Message added by Scarlett45

If a person/family was never featured on any of the Duggar shows, and is not related to the Duggar family by blood or marriage, they do not need to be discussed here..

We may all agree that David Rodriques is quite unfortunate looking, but let's refrain from comparing human beings to apes, its got way too much of a loaded history- please review the new Inclusion Policy updated May 1, 2022 , which details guidelines around discussing body type, capabilities, physical appearance etc. Additionally, using body size as an insult is not allowed.

Yes.   Jill must show she is superior to everyone -- even her young kids -- at all times.  It's part of her narcissism.

As for the dog, apparently he travels well.   All I can think is that poor thing shoved in the RV with all those people and no space.

That Jill finds it necessary to compete with and WIN against her own children every single time is really horrible; those poor kids.  Growing up in that sort of warped environment where one of the adults who is supposed to love and cherish and protect you when you're just a vulnerable kid; instead treats you like competition and insists on winning every contest is abusive, IMO.

It is sad how often Jill boasts about her or Dave winning against the children at whatever.

The children not only have to be in constant competition with their parents, but also with other christians.

In the last year there are many examples of the rods spouting about so-called christians, worldly christians, luke warm christians, etc

Not just Jill. Nurie, Kaylee and Renee on fb. All the menfolk shown leading family vacation devotions about so-called christians. Jill has posted about churches they visit letting their standards slip by allowing women in pants..

The rods are always better than others.

There have been believable things online about them being arrogant. Jill certainly shows this all the time. But accounts of Nurie being arrogant. Timothy being arrogant while trying to sell insurance at a coffee shop, Phillip being arrogant, but unable to back his argument and resorting to insults.

I think they truly believe they are the best christians ever.

Made some additions. :)  But I bet Jill would sell the La-Z-Boy right out from under Dave's keister if the price was right.

My daughter and her pitbull/Lab mix rescue doggo have lived in our house for almost 4 years and that dog simply does not like me.  She's not aggressive at all, but I can count on one hand the number of times she's wagged her tail when I've come into a room - she usually gives me side-eye or ignores me.  Her previous owner was also likely a female.  After this long, I have come to accept that we are just going to co-exist and not be friends which makes me sad, but also makes me want to find whoever owned her first and let them feel my wrath.

As for Jill's dog - I find it weird that she's so adamant that the dog loves her BEST.  Does literally everything have to a contest in that family, and does Jill have to win every single time?  It must be so emotionally exhausting to be related to her.

Anyone as mentally deranged as Jill shouldn’t be allowed to have children, much less 13 of them.

Jill, Kaylee only needs 1 Hill in her name.

The girls are in short sleeves and bare foot but Jill is in slippers and 12 layers.  What was the temperature when that picture was taken.

Don't register with the hotel or you might find out Jill isn't discounting the rooms to registrants and keeping the difference herself.

It would be interesting if there was a whistle-blower in the group.  I have found that "conference rates" are not always the best rates.  I do the best when I call the hotel directly.

There's a poster at Free Jinger who is on Jill's mailing list. However, it's doubtful that she would try to register for this event, either via Jill or directly through the hotel.

I think it's cold inside. Jill even has warm boots inside and tights and hoodie blouse.

Renee cannot walk properly. I’ve never noticed it in her “ model” walks, but look at her here. Her feet and legs are turning in badly. I don’t know if she was tired because it was so late, or that’s something that she has always had. But I could imagine it being a lifelong problem that was never looked into.

I noticed it too, especially because I was born extremely pigeon-toed, to the point that I had to wear braces on my legs and special shoes for the first 12 years of my life.  When I am extremely tired, I still have a tendency to walk pigeon-toed.  Poor Renee.  FU, Jill and David, for not getting help for your daughter.  Just FU!

That poor photo op doggo.

Poor Tessie - if her braces are off, she's on the market.

I wish I could hear JonthanKayleeHill(Rodrigues)Hill's presentation.  I'm sure it's riveting.  And why do we need to know that Renee is single on the speaker's list?  Does that mean that whatever she has to say doesn't carry as much weight as Mrs. JKH(R)H?  LOL, just kidding, I already know the answer.

Anyone who sends their cash directly to Jill is foolish.  The attendees are going to end up bunking 8 to a room while Jill pockets the rest - after all, she's going to need to reward herself for all of the hard work she's going to delegate to her daughters.

Since it wouldn't be thanksgiving at the barndo with out a contest. What do we think the ladies will make for the menfolk to judge this year?

So far they have done bread, grape pie and fudge.

Last year the menfolk had a chili contest which Dave won, because of course he did.

I had to wear the shoes too for a while. Saddle shoes, extremely ugly, and I got made fun of. A couple of years later, saddle shoes were very popular. 😔

When my son was a baby, he had one foot curving in. He immediately got a special shoe and that took care of it. These two B’s likely do nothing. Except to make sure the girls have good teeth, so the men will choose them as their soulmate/breeder.

PS: to say that I did not grow up in the 50s, which is when I think saddle shoes were first popular! This was sometime in the 70s (that makes me old but not THAT old).

I had to wear special shoes mid 70s. They were ugly and I am not sure they even helped. I'm still knock kneed.

GRAPE PIE?

Don't knock it 'til you've tried it.  Very common in this area and even moreso in western NY state where there are tons of vineyards for table grapes.  It is really quite delicious, too.

The new Janessa.

At least Cinnamon doesn't have to stand in front of church groups and suck on a dirty rag while her family makes "music."

I bet Cinnamon gets fed everyday too.

the GOOD dog food.   While the kids go hungry.   At least the poor dog isn't subject to table scraps of Jill's cooking, there aren't any leftovers.

Now I am picture the new dog having it's own specially marked drawer in the fridge for the refrigerated dog food.

Jill is now selling plus size Lula no clothing outfits. $35. She must be not making much from donations. Or selling enough plexus.

Are they not traveling/grifting less?

Why all of a sudden this boutique crap.

Jill,

A little marketing advice regarding your on line “boutique” (of horrors):

1. When showing clothes you are selling make sure they are pressed. Wrinkled clothing is not appealing to anyone.

2. Sell pieces separately- these are not outfits since very few of your choices go together.

3. Stop trying to unload cheap Dollar Store jewelry and hair clips.

4. Most importantly, you are NOT SHEIN or Temu. Fashionable women don’t want your frump wear.

Could not agree more about ironing the clothes! How much else does she have to do, she can’t iron things she’s trying to sell?

I see the black Friday sale for $20 for “ fall outfits” whatever that means. I noticed the plus size stuff is not on sale. I doubt much of her audience want to purchase xs/p clothes. Aren’t most of them buying Plexes for weight loss?

Brianna (or whatever) has the fakest voice. She’s trying to sound like the other girls, who have never heard another person speak except for mama. Or godly church ladies.

Jill said a couple of weeks ago that Snuggles was finally adjusting to the puppy. Idiots don't know that you shouldn't introduce a puppy to a very senior dog who has ruled the roost for years. Snuggles is 13.

When Jill introduced the puppy I made the remark here that it was terrible that she had done that to Snuggles.  Jill treats animals like she treats people:  After she’s used them up, she kicks them to the curb for something/someone else.  She’s a horrible person!

I'm hoping that Snuggles is now happy being left alone and is spending time napping on the couch or in the sun or otherwise having a nice quiet retirement.  And that the puppy isn't bothering him anymore.  Hey, I can hope.

Dave might eat it thinking it's a new salami or something.

I wouldn’t blame him. It would probably be fresher and tastier than anything Jill cooks.
