If a person/family was never featured on any of the Duggar shows, and is not related to the Duggar family by blood or marriage, they do not need to be discussed here..

We may all agree that David Rodriques is quite unfortunate looking, but let's refrain from comparing human beings to apes, its got way too much of a loaded history- please review the new Inclusion Policy updated May 1, 2022 , which details guidelines around discussing body type, capabilities, physical appearance etc. Additionally, using body size as an insult is not allowed.

So glad I'm not the only one who noticed that "The Rod kids" posts took a dramatic shift in writing skill around the wedding fiasco. They went from a 5th-7th grade level to "college before you learn that simpler is usually better" level. Without any particular reason (Renee, Kaylee and Nurie have been out of school for years and haven't collectively started new jobs that demand better skills), I'm going with Jill has discovered AI (or the editing bits of Grammerly, at the very least)

From the bible book of John

"The Lord has said that “the field is white already to harvest” (D&C 4:4). His harvest is humble people who are ready to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ."

 

It is comparing evangelists "harvesting souls" for the lord to farmers and crops.

Thanks, I didn't realize that. I see she put in against a harvest background.  It might be some of that photoshopping that makes it look a little odd to me.

Honestly I thought he looked odd myself but I couldn't figure out who else it could  be. So that's when I decided he must have been added. I guess when she changed the background,  it blurred the people a bit or something.  I don't know much about filters, etc.

I believe it is the church itself which foisted that grammatical tragedy on the world. I seem to recall there being banners and signs in prior years proclaiming the old fashion nature of the gathering.

It's not just the Rods who are barely literate.

This usage is endemic in the churches they visit. I honestly don't remember anyone using the phrase correctly.

I'm now wondering if Jill just found ChatGPT.  If you're looking to simply a few sentences, it does work quite well.  Grammarly is great as well, but to do the commentary she's doing, one would probably need the Pro version, which you have to pay for.  On second thought, I could see her spending the money on that instead of feeding her children.  I fully expect more crap from her tonight once the polls close.  Her posts should be golden regardless of who wins.

The only religious book with those initials that I can think of is Doctrine and Covenants; but that's part of the Book of Mormon and I doubt Jill is familiar with it.

The quote about the fields being ready to harvest is from the Gospel of John in the regular Bible, but it is found at 4:35 not 4:4.

Some sad news to report. Hallie Coverett Judge had a falling out with Ellen today over recent events. Hallie's post saying she both hated and loved Ellen was sad. Ellen was in the wrong with her gloating. I can see why it upset Hallie so much. 

They're no longer following each other on IG (they were earlier in the day).

Hopefully they will reconcile soon.  Their situation isn’t unique to them.  It’s been happening all over the country for several years now.  Social media doesn’t help.

You mean Hallie didn't "hop on" her Mom's social media to say what a wonderful mamma Ellen is and that everything she does is absolutely 100% correct?   Wow, almost like the Coveretts allow their kids to think for themselves.

 

Yeah reaching here, but right now will take any sliver of sunshine and also never miss an opportunity to snark on Jill's "parenting" skills.
