sigh .. not to digress but after reading some of the tweets from DCCs about the election or the inauguration, I've decided to unfollow some of them lol

On their DCC twitters?!? Politics (and sometimes religion) are big no no's imo since they're so contriversal, especially this year. Who's been tweeting stuff?

You can get fired for talking about your political opinions at work. My work place hardly ever discusses politics and I like it that way. We don't get into arguments about who's right and who's wrong, who sucks and who doesn't suck. They held a debate watch party earlier in the year after work and it was very civil. All I'm saying is to keep politics out of your work place, if you want to tweet about it on a personal level that's fine. Angela did it on her personal twitter and that's perfectly acceptable but to talk about it on your work twitter would just be dumb.

Liking someone's tweet is personal, work is work.  We're allowed to have opinions outside of work, and it makes me sad that people would be disappointed in someone whose opinion is different from the opinion social media is telling them to have; tolerance does work both ways.

Anyway, back on topic.  I thought @LaurelleJ had a great idea about the swimsuit calendar being the 1st episode.  How dramatic would it have been last year to see Caila at the shoot only to have her cut at finals?  Quite dramatic, if you ask me.

Liking a tweet about politics on a work account is the same thing. Anything that shows your views towards politics are usually forbidden from a work account. They aren't on their personal accounts and they have to remember that they're representing an organization that may not necessarily want them to have views different from their own.

To be fair, Angela’s tweet was a stupid comment about fashion.

Very true lol

So off topic, but I've seen so many people compliment her clothing while putting down Michelle Obama. It frustrates me, they're both beautiful. Why do you have to build one up by putting the other down?

Sorry to continue but so much this. I try hard to ignore it. I have friends who are on both sides of the isle and everything in between. I'm just taking it like they have decided to get behind the elect and accept that it is what it is. I'm trying. Even K & J have sort of eluded to where they stand in the past.

Have they?  I never saw K+J refer to the election at all.  At end of day, I think everyone has the right to vote or think what they want and they shouldn't feel threatened or fearful for  disclosing it.  I think there's a time and place for everything and one should be thoughtful about what one does using a work account, twitter, etc.

I would love if they filmed the swimsuit shoot.

Then, at the end of the episode, show the vets in prep classes getting ready for auditions.

This episode could be aired in July and feature a "sneak peek" of the upcoming season that begins in August. This could be a great way of reminding viewers of the previous "Making the Team" rookies (now vets!) and getting people excited for the new season.

It would also be great to see some of the regular season. I saw Kelli respond to someone on her Twitter that they were previously hoping to film a Super Bowl episode.  I would have loved that!

Like most of you, I just want more episodes. I want to see more vets, show group, practices, group leaders, regular season games, half times, a rookie or two's first personal appearances, ect.,ect., ect! They could show twice as many episodes as the eight they normally show, and I would be thrilled!

  • Love 6

Not only could they show twice as many episodes, they could probably do three or four times as many and I would be happy.  I would like to see MORE of what goes on in the studio.  After all, they have ALL that footage shot over the course of Training Camp.  There must be a LOT going on that we would love to see but don't because they either can't or won't show it to us.

I wish people did not mix politics with their job. I think most of the current DCCs haven't said anything, but they've liked some tweets about it. Makes me disappointed in them as women.

Well we all know some ladies that age don't even know who the president is!  One would think in an interview the president's name would be known!

Producers - Please stop airing Kelli asking the TCCs if their chest is natural or what their "natural cup size" is. I understand that it's a legitimate question for uniform fittings, but it's way to personal and redundant to air each season. We seriously do not care or need to know each TCC's bra size or if they have implants. Also, please reduce the, "This is now or never. This is do or die," sound bites. Thank you for not showing the squad photo this past season and showing more of the veterans preparing for auditions.

Maybe she wants to complete college first. I think in 4 years she'll have a more womanly look to her and who knows, she might be taking dance classes on the side.

Yeah, because right now she doesn't dance a whole hell of a lot better than I do (and I'm bad LOL).

Can I just say, I am watching couples skating right now. I just watched a man, on a single edge, flying across the ice, throw a woman into the air, while she did THREE full rotations above his head, and he caught her, with precision, and delicately placed her back on her single edge, while flying across the ice without a hitch. Kelli, the next time I hear you say that the DCC choreo/audition process/uniform/work is the hardest/most grueling/physically challenging form of entertainment in the world, I'm slapping my tv.

I'm not impressed by couples skating unless they can perfectly execute an Iron Lotus.

J/k, but the "Blades of Glory" reference was just too easy.

Anyone else find it humourous and annoying when Kelli and Judy's dialogue is dubbed? For instance, toward the end of season 10, they notice that Angela doesn't know a dance and Kelli's mouth clearly looks like it's saying, "oh my god," when her dialogue says, "oh my gosh." It's done so poorly and what's the point of changing "god" to "gosh"?

Welp, Commando Sunday just became a thing. Any time someone asks me what day of the week it is, the first thing I'll do is check if I'm wearing underwear.

LMAO let's get alliterative and call it Smokeless Sunday, don't ask don't know it's an Aaron Sorkin thing from The West Wing, at one point a character said smokeless instead of commando. and yeah totally off topic sorry mods

Kitty is blunt, but she isn't nearly as rude or condescending as a whole lot of pro dance professionals who act like dancers are commodities and not humans.

Kitty is what a whole lot of Special Snowflake girls need - special snowflake as in always the studio darling, best and prettiest at their school, etc - to jolt them into being amazing performers. You see so many who have worked hard, but never had much of a challenge, and kitty challenges them.

she might be abrupt and dramatic, but I've never seen her give bad advice or harmful instruction.

yeah ... except to be honest, I thought the whole Chelsea being toxic was over the top and dramatic

Kitty is an employee. She's a technique coach, teaches a lot of prep classes that are affiliated, and she judges show group. I think it was absolutely her business, and she's a good judge of character.

I don't think Kitty's one statement is all it took for Chelsea's cut. That's just all we were shown in a five minute segment.

Oh I'm sure there was more. I wish we got to see more. I also don't doubt that some of her reaction was egged on by the CMT producers, they are reality show producers after all.

I thought her studio was affiliated, but I didn't think she received a paycheck from the Cowboys Cheerleaders organization.  If so then yes, she did have a right to speak up.  If not, I stand by "none of her damn business." :)

She was there that night teaching technique, so being paid and an employee.

Just saw her out and didn't like her? That would definitely be petty.

Rose is a TCC from I think season ten. K/J kept telling her she was awkward and Rose kept being like, "This is vague, what does this mean?" I didn't care for her the first time around watching that season, but then when I rewatched it I loved her. She had light brown hair and pretty big eyebrows. She went on to make another team. I'm pretty sure it was a Cali based NBA team but not the GSW. I can't remember which team. This seems like something @LaurenBrook would know.

I'm going to attempt to find her instagram now or at least a picture.

She was a Chargers cheerleader this season, so who knows what she'll do next year.

I liked her--I always root for the ones who get a little mad and don't just turn into a mess in the office.

Thank you! I don't know why I was thinking she was on an NBA dance team.

I totally failed at finding her Insta or any pictures. I suck at the internets.

haha don't be hard on yourself, i don't believe she has a very public internet presence.

I liked her too.  She was pretty and seemed mature...she got such a bad edit.

OOHHHH THAT Rose! Yeah, I liked her just fine. She didn't WOW me but she's pretty and has a great bod. I don't remember anything about her dancing. I just hope she didn't have puppy dog hands.

Her dancing wasn't that good and I thought it was pretty justified that she was cut. I just couldn't help cracking up every time they gave her some vague criticism and she challenged them on it.

I think the cut was justified, but she received a vague explanation. Don't quote me but I think she received the "awkward" critique and she said to something to the extent of "how?"

which truth be told, is a justified answer. Is it clunky feet, raised shoulders, tight robotic smile..? It's hard to just correct awkward.

Yeah, when she asked how she was awkward all Kelli said was "feet." Of course she might have said something else off camera, but Rose just said okay and looked so done. I didn't blame her for being irritated at all.
