If only there was a chance Ken Corday was leaving with these writers, but he's not, therefore, I don't look for Days to improve.

I also wanted  old Will to have an affair with EJ. They had alot of chemistry together...That would have been scandalous, plus, it would have guaranteed that EJ and Sami would have never gotten back together...

I'm not a fan of Paul at all. He's a user. As evidenced by his using any number of women to hide from the world. How many of them knew they were beards? He seemed to just find them about as useful and interesting as a tissue. There to be used and thrown away to make himself look like a player.

 

Will needs to take responsibility, there's no question there, and I don't have a strong attachment to Will/Sonny but I am also impressed with a gay couple being treated like any other. Infidelity in a marriage is a soap staple as well as all the insecurities that go with it, before and after. I am certain that the show will explore Paul/Sonny but based on what I've seen of Paul, he'll get what he supposedly wants and then discovers that, oh my God! It takes actual work to keep a relationship going and a professional athlete is too used to having others do the heavy lifting in everything but the sport they play. You can't tell me that Paul hasn't been kow towed to all of his life, surrounded by people who promise to 'take care of' whatever is causing him manpain that day. Having to work on a relationship that he's probably idealized himself... and he's certainly made everything about him. Sonny only married Will because he couldn't have Paul... according to Paul. Will messed up and cheated on Sonny which is something Paul would never do... according to Paul.

Sure, let them try a relationship after Sonny divorces Will and goes through further emotional turmoil. Talk about your rebounds... and when things aren't singing birds, rainbows and daisies the way Paul seems to expect... I rather think he'll be the one to 'Wah! Not getting what I want! Sonny is disappointing me!' And I hope he cheats, too. Of course, that will give Sonny even more issues but it would make the most sense from what I see these characters being about. In the meantime, Will should have another relationship and figure himself out a bit more. He should be the one wronged in that one, to see how it feels to build up trust and have it so casually broken.

 

Ideally, this would stretch out over a significant period of time. That's what soaps are supposed to be able to do. But I'm not expecting that.

Really, mothers can't win on this show, Kate tries to kill all of her sons' love interests, Maggie tries to reunite them when it's clearly over, but the one thing they have in common is that they have a really unhealthy preoccupation with the love lives of their kids. I was really taken aback by what I thought was a reasonable and realistic mother/son conversation between Paul and Tori. She said it was his decision, she couldn't tell him what to do, though she let her feelings known. I wish Mama Narita weren't so snooze inducing, because I liked what I heard from her yesterday.

Yeah, clearly I'm drinking the Sparkle-Ade, too, because I like Paul. I think he's dumb and short sighted for thinking that now is a good time to pursue Sonny, but, eh, I like him.

And ohmygod...Will and the pen yesterday. I'm not sure what that pen sticking out of his mouth was trying to convey, but it probably wasn't supposed to make me think of this.

Drunk Theresa was damn funny and the writers need to realize that JL can do both drama and comedy--they need to give her more to do then yell at people--even drunkenly :)  I also laughed when she went to high five Eve and fell out of her seat--fabulous :

 

Will was cracking me up with his hard-hitting journalist schtick.  Too bad he was just trying to push around a bland middle aged woman.  And the fact that Mama Sparkle got so easily pushed around by Sneasel lowers my opinion of her even further, although I am kind of loving his attempt at blackmail.

 

I did like Lucas pulling out the Ari card when he talked to Paul--lay on that guilt sir!

 

But what the heck was the blasphemy that Tom and Alice made mistakes too and then they brought up old history regarding Mickey--it was rather bizarre and WTF worthy.

It should.  Sneasel should find out what it's like to lose, not have everyone covering up for you, or taking the fall for your mistakes, and to be betrayed by someone you loved and trusted.  Will had a wonderful husband in Sonny, and he didn't appreciate it.  It would be interesting to see Sonny move onto someone that isn't Paul.

 

Will was the complete opposite of Sami when it came to love and relationships.  Will had a man who loved him, and was there for him through some really bad times.  For years, Sami was always second choice, pursuing someone who was in love with someone else, trying to pretend she was someone she wasn't so some guy would love her, trying to force feelings that weren't there, etc.  That's why Sami cheating on Rafe never made any sense.  I can see why AS, GG, JS, and AZ were all going, "Huh?" when they got those transcripts.

They've very bold to try to make Paul the bad guy.  Paul didn't cheat on his husband...hello!!! 

 

I hope Sparkle stays in Salem forever and even if Sneasel and Sonny get back together, that Sonny continues to smack his chops every time he looks at Sparkle.

I don't think he's evil or calculating or hates babies.  I think he's as immature and as self-centered as Sneasel is, although in a different fashion.  Presenting himself in a good light is second nature to him.  He's learned the celebrity walk and talk very well.  But IMO he's way behind Sonny in overall maturity.

And ohmygod...Will and the pen yesterday. I'm not sure what that pen sticking out of his mouth was trying to convey, but it probably wasn't supposed to make me think of this.

It's interesting that there is so much discussion about Sonny not saying goodbye to or anything about Ari, when I'm pretty sure the story was hastily re-written to accommodate FS' s temp exit.

As for a divorce being painful for Sonny, yes it would be but maybe Sonny no longer wants to be married to Will. Why would he? Will is a horrible husband; I don't see how or why Sonny would ever trust him again. I hate this idea that Sonny & Will have to be together forever and can't go their separate ways for good. The vast majority of straight characters have multiple "soulmates", and the gays shouldn't be any different.

There's proof out there that some of the scenes from that episode were shot on Nov 4 when FS returned to work. Maybe the twins weren't available. It's a bad job writing wise, but it's still part of the story and that's why I have an issue with it.

I cannot believe Serena with the stupid elephant - -I was yelling "No, it's the other one!!" at my TV. 

 

I thought there was a clue that pointed to Stefano being Paul's father yesterday -- yes, they're trying to indicate it's John (some of that's because Drake himself was semi-pro baseball, I think), but they ended one Paul/Mom scene and went directly to the Dimeara's in some context I can't fully recall. 

 

And Will. My god. My brain kept superimposing Sami's face on Will's when he was scheming to run Paul out of town. It's just what Sami would do, and I fully expected Lucas to put Will in his place. I know he tried at first, but then -- WTF -- he winds up helping Will dig up dubious things about Paul and his family. I hope it was just so he could keep an eye on things and not let Will go too far. 

 

ETA: The Dimeara connection was that Paul'sMom was standing on the lake with the D's boat house in view, on their grounds (wipes brow, thankful that my brain is still capable of retrieving trivia like this).

That's the one thing I can buy in this whole ridiculous story.

I too hate that elephant.  I loved Melissa Archer on OLTL, but Serena and this awful story is doing nothing for me.

 

I love Melissa as Serena, but the story is ridiculous. It should be over soon, and she'll still have her awesome chemistry with GV if the show keeps them together for a while. I feel worse for Kassie who is stuck with Jenn and Beige.

Freddie said in an interview that Sparkle will be instrumental in getting Wilson back together. I have a feeling that sparkle will back off after today and encourages Sonny to go back to his family. Sonny will listen to him and try to rebuild trust with his husband..Remember that Sparkle is supposed to be noble and Will the scum  of the earth...Then he founds out about Will and Lucas blackmailing his mom...He will resolve to break up Wilson by digging  up some  dirt on Will, just like he did with his mother. He may find out something that leads him to believe that Will had been unfaithful to Sonny while he was out in LA. This may cause Sonny to divorce Will and go back to Sparkle....There has to be something big  coming on the horizon that causes Wilson to break up...I don't think this blackmailing scheme is enough to piss off Sonny and push him into Sparkle's arms.  Based on Pictures on the actors' tweeter, Wilson  seem to be together when Ari turns 2 in May. There are pictures of her party at TBD. Plus, Wilson will acknowledge their anniversary this coming April....

 

I am not surprised that Will is going to do something stupid by trying to run Paul out of town.  Look at his history for a moment; He  shot EJ when he was threatening his parents' happiness. He  tried to blackmail EJ over his affair with his mom. When Sonny kissed him when he was struggling with his sexuality, he ran to Gabi and had sex with her and that is Why Ari is here..When Nick was murdered, he confessed to protect Sonny.  He always does something stupid when he is under pressure. He is his own worst enemy....On his own, he would truly be lost..It is not surprising that Sonny is the more dominant partner in their relationship....

I don't know how to feel about Lucas and Will scheming. I want to call Will and idiot and be disappointed that Lucas thought that picture was enough "dirt" to blackmail Sparkle's mother with...but it actually worked...so...kudos? I can't believe Sparkle's worthless mother actually let herself get blackmailed. All she has to do is say she came to Salem back in the day for whatever reason and then had a bad experience. Maybe she was mugged or something. Because of this she doesn't like to talk about her time in Salem and likes to pretend it never happened. Is she really so stupid that she can't come up with a reasonable reason for being in Salem? The fact that Will was able to blackmail her with that picture is just hilarious to me. Will is lucky Sparkle's mother is even more of a wimp than he is.

You wanted JJ to make his own decisions and reconcile with Lima Bean, but now that you see that his plans are just so stupid, now you want him to tell the truth. Dumbass. Your long rant at Suddenly Southern was just a big waste of time. Judgy once again shows what a huge ego she has, she tells Suddenly Southern that she only came over to talk about herself and then turns right around and says Suddenly seduced JJ to get back at HER. When Theresa isn't being too bitchy, she's funny. Wanting to hug Suddenly Southern before she left and Southern goes, "Whatever". I really enjoyed watching Theresa today.

 

If I was Carbon Narita and that little Sneasel came to my hotel room, getting all smug and blackmailing, I would beat his ass. Sneasel was just beyond rude to Carbon Narita. Sneasel says that he felt bad for having to blackmail her, didn't look like that to me, he was anything but that. Writers have really fucked this character over big time. Then he says that he doesn't care what secret Carbon Narita is hiding but he digs in anyway. Lame ass loser.

 

Lucas, quit drinking the, "WTF Juice" because Sneasel hasn't taken responsibility for a damn thing. He's still blaming everyone and everything. Arianna Grace looked like she wanted to kick Sparkle's ass but she can start with daddy first.

 

WTF did Kate have on for the board meeting? She looked like a high school principal. Poor Kate, looks like she's about to lose big time. Dammit.

The writing was much better for Will back then...Chandler gave him such a vulnerability and sadness, it makes sense that he would be with  a guy like Sonny. Sonny grew up in a stable family home with loving parents and siblings. It is disheartening how this current writing regime have made Will so unlikable in their efforts to make Paul a better partner for Sonny.Will is getting shitted on like Jack....It is so unnecessary...

 

I was hoping that Lucas would talk some sense to Will and get him to focus on Sonny and his reasons for betraying Sonny...Lucas has been cheated on, he should have been able to explain to Will, what it is like to be cheated on and the pain and humiliation that is associated with that...

That is true..It was a wtf moment for me when Will wrote that article about Sami, recording his grandmother and EJ. It was so out of character for him...He was so heartless when he defended Abigail to Sami....I did not like how he acted like Sonny is supposed to always agree with him. Leaving Sonny  all alone to go to LA, I never really understood that...What really pissed me off was when he told Sonny that he was bored with their life..I actually yelled at the tv, how could you say that to your husband who has been taking care of you, your daughter and your baby mama in his house....Sonny did not deserve such disrespect..I actually like Will, so I can understand why his haters want him to lose Sonny....

Chad & Kate both wanna get rid of the other in the Co-CEO position. That's what they both wanna do, be sole CEO of DiMera Enterprises. They don't trust each other. Victor had Kate sign some papers where he would get majority profits of something from DiMera I believe, it can't be major profits from Mad World.

I'd like to exempt Will's confession to protect Sonny from the list of self-involved and shady behaviour: for one it's a classic soap combo-move, to jump to erroneous conclusion(s) and then do something impulsive to protect the beloved; for another thing, it shows more initiative and sense of responsibility than usual for Will -- mis-aimed and kind of short-sighted, true, but neither self-pitying nor self-aggrandizing, so it doesn't seem shady to me.

Will 'Scoop' Brady ever the hard-hitting reporter didn't even realize it was the Salem River. Lucas made that discovery.  Secondly Scoop was too damn stupid to zoom in on his ipad and see the DiMera boathouse in the background. He needed Hope to come over and do that. Scoop stared over Hope's shoulder at the screen wondering at the marvels of technology. 

 

I kinda had to laugh at all the Serena scenes the other day. On the way to Daniel's, Serena just had to stop in the middle of the square, open her bag and take out the decoy elephant to check and see if it was still there because I guess there are a lot of pick pocketers that jack you for your coffee table statues in Salem. Also, the actress body language and facial expression when she got caught in the process of trying to switch the elephants (I can't believe I just typed that sentence) was just comedic and not in a good way. 

 

Sometimes Theresa comes off as bi-polar in scenes with certain people. She just goes from fragile damaged china doll to rabid & snarling in seconds. It was kinda funny how happy she was about the thought of Mel and Brady getting into a fight about her RIGHT IN FRONT OF BRADY!

Not so sure of that.  There is nothing that the writers will not do.  Lucas scheming with mommy to send Sami to death row did not stop lumi.  Brandon sleeping with step mommy lexie did not come between them for long. Rafe falling in love with Sami's sister did not stop them from almost getting back together.  EJ and all his crimes against Sami as well as hers against him did not stop EJami.  So I doubt anything little Will could do would not EJami after all Sami knew EJ had blackmailed her precious before.  After all in the end Sami forgave EJ for humping mother Theresa.

Also the plug on the bottom of that stupid ass elephant, if it's so easy to pop off to see if it has this secret compartment, why didn't Shrewena not pop it off while at Dingy's house? She just stood there looking at them to see if she had the right one. Shrewena is an idiot and whoever needs the Pier One thing should have hired someone more competent to do it. I bet Ciara of the Corn would have been able to switch the elephants out by now. I bet we have to forever look at Shrewena pulling an elephant out of her damn bag. SMDH.

If it's the writers job to make most of the characters totally unlikeable, they get an A.  OMG, how awful was Sneasel and Lucas?  Especially Sneasel.  Terrorizing the Mom Marita and Sparkle when it was ALL ON HIM!  Threatening the mother, Lucas foisting Arianna on Sparkle "look at how cute she is you don't want to break up this family."  Hard to believe Lucas approved of what Sneasel is doing - but then again look what they've done to Jennifer with her unhealthy interest in her son's sex life.  And trying to push him back into a relationship when he's only 18 and just starting college.  ICK!  ICK! ICK!  Lately I feel like I need a shower after watching the show.  And then all the BOOBAGE lately at the most inappropriate places.  The Nicole and Dan thing is not working, she should try for someone taller than her lol (of course are there any tall guys even left on this show?).

 

It was a tough episode for me to get through w/o wanting to pull an Elvis move.

I would love for AS/Sami to visit, and for Sami to be happily married to a new guy who is a great stepfather to her children.  All it took for Sami to finally have the life she wanted was to get out of Salem.

I don't see Sami's other children having a rough childhood like Will, assuming that EJ stays dead...
